Abstract

Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggambarkan perilaku menonton film sebagai strategi koping maladaptif pada mahasiswa. Penggunaan strategi koping yang tidak tepat dapat memberikan dampak buruk (maladaptif) bagi penggunanya, salah satu strategi koping yang dapat bersifat maladaptif dan kerap digunakan mahasiswa adalah binge-watching. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa binge-watching cenderung didorong oleh keterlibatan impulsif dan penguatan negatif, sering terjadi tanpa perencanaan dan ketekunan, dan dapat melibatkan pencarian sensasi. Penelitian ini merujuk pada faktor psikologis yang diuraikan oleh Flayelle et al. dan strategi koping maladaptif oleh Skinner et al. Informan penelitian berjumlah 2 orang mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel criterion sampling. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepribadian Big Five (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism openess to experience) dengan harga diri pada narapidana dengan kasus pedofilia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 150 orang narapidana dengan kasus pedofilia. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan alat ukur berupa skala kepribadian Big Five. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan variabel, ekstraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism memiliki hubungan dengan harga diri sedangkan conscientiousness dan openess to experience tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap harga diri. Mayoritas penyebaran subjek berada pada masa dewasa awal, belum menikah dan memiliki pendidikan terakhir pada SMA, SMK, dan STM. Simpulan dari lima sifat kepribadian Big Five hanya tiga sifat yang menunjukkan hubungan dan dua sifat lagi tidak menunjukkan hubungan. Abstract

Individuals want to find their identities in adolescence, and peers easily influence adolescents. Teenagers will be positive when the individual is in a positive environment, and vice versa will be negative when in a hostile environment. The family becomes the first social environment known to an individual before plunging into other larger social environments. In its development, adolescents become vulnerable to negative influences, including smoking. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with an analytical survey method using a cross-sectional design, which aims to determine the relationship of conformity, parenting and social environment with smoking behaviour in adolescent boys at SMA X in Medan in 2023; it was conducted on 94 high school X students who were carried out by total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by Chi-Square. Adolescents are affected by conformity to smoking behaviour by as many as 27 respondents (28.7%). Non- democratic parenting (authoritarian and permissive) as many as 62 respondents (66.0%). Poor social environment: as many as 41 respondents (43.6%) There is a relationship between conformity, parenting, and social environment with smoking behaviour Of adolescent boys. Recommendations from this study can be the basis or input for the development and application of counselling guidance services to discuss smoking behaviour that is prone to occur in adolescents and become input for parents to pay more attention to their children's association so as not to be influenced by things and environments that are not good, and always provide examples of good attitudes and behaviour to their children.Keywords: Adolescent Boys, Smoking Behavior, Conformity, Parenting, Social Environment

Abstract

Digital devices support early childhood learning; however, excessive use may hinder social-emotional development, making supervision and wise use by parents and teachers crucial. This study aims to understand the positive and negative impacts of digital device use in learning on young children's social and emotional behavior. A correlational quantitative method was used by distributing survey instruments to 100 respondents. The results support four hypotheses about device use and children's social-emotional development. Excessive device use negatively affects social interaction skills (coefficient -0.45; P = 0.002) and emotional regulation (coefficient -0.50; P = 0.003). In contrast, supervised device use positively influences empathy and communication skills (coefficient 0.60; P = 0.000). Children guided by parents or teachers show better social-emotional development than those without supervision (coefficient 0.55; P = 0.000). All hypotheses are supported, emphasizing the importance of supervised device use.

Abstract

Prinsip pembelajaran anak belajar melalui bermain, sehingga pelaksanaan pembelajarannya pun dilakukan melalui bermain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab, mengetahui, dan menganalisis bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran sentra di Taman Kanak-Kanak Aisyiyah 4 Tebet Timur Jakarta Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Keunggulan pembelajaran sentra dapat mengembangkan seluruh potensi anak usia dini yang meliputi aspek kognitif, sosial emosional, bahasa, dan moral spiritual. Model pembelajaran sentra menyenangkan dan penuh makna (joyfull learning), anak tidak bosan dengan pembelajarannya karena anak secara bergantian belajar disentra yang berbeda setiap harinya sehingga anak dapat mengkonstruksikan sendiri pengetahuan dan pengalamannya

Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Keunggulan pengintegrasian AIK dalam pembelajaran sentra dapat mengembangkan seluruh potensi anak usia dini yang meliputi aspek kognitif, sosial emosional, bahasa, dan moral spiritual. Pengintegrasi AIK dengan model pembelajaran sentra menyenangkan dan penuh makna (joyfull learning), anak tidak bosan dengan pembelajarannya karena anak secara bergantian belajar disentra yang berbeda setiap harinya sehingga anak dapat mengkonstruksikan sendiri pengetahuan, pengalamannya dan menjadika anak relegius.

Abstract

Kemampuan Kreativitas anak di Pos PAUD Taman Pendidikan Anak Sholeh masih rendah. Beberapa anak ketika melakukan kegiatan mengecap masih belum sesuai dengan harapan. Masalah yang terjadi seperti anak belum bisa memegang bahan alam dengan baik, belum bisa mengecap dengan baik atau rapi, belum bisa membedakan warna dengan baik. Pokok permasalahan karya ilmiah ini yaitu usaha meningkatkan kreativitas anak yang berusia 3-4 tahun melalui kegiatan mengecap menggunakan bahan dari alam di Pos PAUD Taman Pendidikan Anak Sholeh. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tingkat kreativitas anak usia 3-4 tahun melalui kegiatan mengecap menggunakan bahan alam. Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tahap Proses Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Observasi dan Refleksi dilakukan secara berurutan. Sedangkan yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah anak usia 3-4 Tahun kelompok B di Pos PAUD Taman Pendidikan Anak Sholeh. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen terdiri dari Lembar Observasi untuk Guru dan Lembar Observasi untuk Anak. Mengumpulkan data menggunakan teknik observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwa proses kegiatan mengecap dengan menggunakan bahan dari alam bisa berpengaruh kepada peningkatan kreativitas anak usia 3-4 tahun di Pos PAUD Taman Pendidikan Anak Sholeh. Kriteria keberhasilan menunjukkan aktivitas anak Belum Berkembang (BB) ketika pelaksanaan siklus I, pada kriteria siklus II kemudian Mulai Berkembang (MB), anak mengalami kreativitas Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) dalam pelaksanaannya. Maka kesimpulannya, anak sudah menunjukkan capaian indikator yang di harapkan.

Abstract

Early childhood cognitive development is a critical foundation for future learning. However, many existing learning methods remain monotonous and less engaging, leading to low participation and slow cognitive progress among children. To address this, interactive and enjoyable learning media is essential. This study aims to improve early childhood cognitive development through the transformation of the traditional snakes and ladders game integrated with the Index Card Match (ICM) method. The game was selected for its ability to stimulate recognition of basic symbols—numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and sizes—which are key elements in early cognition. The research was conducted at Ceria Eduloka Kindergarten, Seberida District, using a participatory Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in two cycles. The game was modified by adding ICM elements, where children match questions and answers during each move, promoting active thinking and engagement. Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in cognitive achievement, with average scores rising from 33% in the pre-cycle to 86% in the second cycle. This indicates that the modified game successfully fosters basic cognitive abilities such as recognition, understanding, and problem-solving. Theoretically, the study contributes to the application of constructivist learning and multimodal approaches in early childhood education. In the long term, this educational media has the potential to be replicated in various early childhood education settings as an inclusive, engaging, and culturally adaptive tool to support the development of cognitive and social-emotional competencies in young children.

Abstract

The K-Pop phenomenon has become a part of global popular culture, including in Indonesia, with a significant impact on the behavior and lifestyle of its fans. One form of attachment to idols that arises is celebrity worship, a parasocial relationship which, if excessive, can have negative psychological effects. This study aims to examine the influence of self-control on celebrity worship among K-Pop fans. The research used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Participants consisted of 400 K-Pop fans aged 18 and above, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were a self-control scale based on De Ridder’s theory (2004) and the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) by Maltby (2006). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The study aimed to determine the effect of celebrity worship on self-control. The analysis showed that celebrity worship has a positive and significant influence on self-control, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.080. This means that 8% of the variation in self-control can be explained by celebrity worship, while the remaining 92% is influenced by other factors. These findings suggest that the higher the level of admiration for celebrities, the higher a person's self-control tends to be, although the contribution is relatively small

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stress levels of prisoners based on their sentence type, namely sentences of more than one year (BI), life imprisonment, and death penalty. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach involving 337 male inmates from Correctional Institution X, consisting of 298 inmates with sentences of more than one year (BI), 33 with life imprisonment, and 6 with death sentences. The instrument used was the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which had been adapted into Indonesian, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.The results showed that inmates serving life sentences had the highest average stress score (M = 22.06), followed by those sentenced to death (M = 21.80), and the lowest was found among inmates with fixed-term sentences (M = 20.65). Although the differences in mean scores were not substantial, the distribution of categories indicated that inmates with heavier sentences tended to fall into higher stress categories. Sentence duration appeared to be a situational factor influencing inmates’ stress levels, particularly among those serving long and indefinite sentences such as life imprisonment and death penalty. The study recommended the provision of more intensive psychological services to help inmates manage emotional distress during their incarceration.
