Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to develop an Android-based Arabic learning media using iSpring Suite to enhance the Arabic vocabulary mastery of 5th-grade students at MI Terpadu Al Ishlah, Gorontalo. Design/methods/approach – The research applied the 4D Thiagarajan model for Research and Development, involving stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination. Data were collected using expert validation, questionnaires and pre-test-post-test results. Findings – The expert validation scores from language, material, and media experts were 84%, 96%, and 82% respectively, indicating the "Very Feasible" category. The overall validation from the three experts reached 86%, confirming the media as "Very Feasible." Descriptive analysis showed an increase in students' vocabulary mastery, with the pre-test average score of 28.27 rising to 39.86 in the post-test, highlighting a significant improvement. Research implications/limitations – Despite its success, the study's limitations include a narrow focus on vocabulary without broader language skills. Originality/value – This research provides an innovative approach to integrating mobile learning into Arabic language education, particularly through interactive digital tools like iSpring Suite, offering valuable insights for future development in educational media. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran bahasa Arab berbasis Android menggunakan iSpring Suite untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V di MI Terpadu Al Ishlah, Gorontalo. Desain/metode/pendekatan – Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D Thiagarajan untuk Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), yang mencakup tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Data dikumpulkan melalui validasi ahli, angket, serta hasil pre-test dan post-test. Temuan – Skor validasi ahli dari ahli bahasa, materi, dan media masing-masing adalah 84%, 96%, dan 82%, yang termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Validasi keseluruhan dari ketiga ahli mencapai 86%, mengonfirmasi media pembelajaran ini sebagai "Sangat Layak". Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan kosakata siswa, dengan skor rata-rata pre-test 28,27 meningkat menjadi 39,86 pada post-test, yang menyoroti peningkatan yang signifikan. Implikasi/batasan penelitian – Meskipun berhasil, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan berupa fokus yang sempit pada penguasaan kosakata tanpa mencakup keterampilan bahasa yang lebih luas. Keaslian/nilai – Penelitian ini memberikan pendekatan inovatif dalam mengintegrasikan pembelajaran mobile ke dalam pendidikan bahasa Arab, khususnya melalui alat digital interaktif seperti iSpring Suite, serta menawarkan wawasan berharga untuk pengembangan media pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model evaluasi dan tes maharah qira'ah menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot. Penggunaan Kahoot diharapkan dapat membantu guru dalam melakukan pengembangan dan evaluasi terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Arab khususnya pada maharah qira’ah. Peneliti menggunakan jenis pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangannya menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation). Metode analisis data mengunakan analisis mix method yang bersumber dari data hasil validitas melalui validator dan data hasil tes melalui pre-test dan post-test. Bentuk tes menggunakan soal objektif pilihan ganda dengan lima optional, berjumlah 30 item, tes tersebut sebelum diterapkan dilakukan uji validitas dan reablititas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, kuisioner dan tes. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 peserta didik kelas X, 1 orang guru dan 3 validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) Analysis, analisis kebutuhan, kurikulum, dan materi. (b) Design, perancangan spesifikasi produk. (c) Devalopment, dalam mengembangkan tes maharah qira'ah menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot menghasilkan dari 30 soal yang diuji, 19 soal valid dan 11 soal tidak valid, sehingga beberapa soal perlu direvisi. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Spearman-Brown menghasilkan tingkat reliabilitas sebesar 0.88, yang menunjukkan tingkat reliabilitas yang tinggi. Analisis tingkat kesulitan menunjukkan bahwa 7 soal masuk kategori sangat mudah, 5 soal mudah, 16 soal sedang, dan 2 soal sulit. Sementara itu, daya beda soal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar soal memiliki daya beda yang baik. (d) Implementation, penerapan produk dinilai oleh guru menggunakan lembar respon guru dengan hasil penilaian sangat positif. (e) Evaluation, nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000, analisis statistik non-parametrik dengan uji Wilcoxon mengungkapkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test, menunjukkan efektivitas penggunaan Kahoot dalam evaluasi Maharah Qira'ah.

Abstract

Penerapan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) merupakan pendekatan integratif yang menggabungkan teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji tentang penerapan TPACK dalam memenuhi kebutuhan Guru Penggerak Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui data primer dan sekunder, dengan tehnik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan tehnik observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan informan. Penyajian data serta menarik kesimpulan yang berkaitan dengan penerapan TPACK dalam memenuhi kebutuhan Guru Penggerak Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TPACK di SMKS Gotong Royong Telaga Kabupaten Gorontalo telah membantu guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mereka untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pengajaran, sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan efektif. Selain itu, implementasi TPACK juga membantu dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Guru penggerak PAI merasa lebih siap dan percaya diri dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung berbagai strategi pengajaran yang inovatif.

Abstract

Various kinds of efforts are made by educators for the implementation of good and effective learning. In improving speaking skills there are several strategies used, one of which is the al-ta'bir al-mushawwar strategy. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of the al-ta'bir al-mushawwar strategy in improving students' speaking skills. In addition, this study aims to determine the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy. The method used in this research is quantitative with One Group pretest-posttest design. In analyzing the data of this study, a different t-test was used with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and tests. The sample used was class VIII B, which consisted of 10 students. It is said so because the data analyzed are the numbers obtained from the test results (pre-test and post-test) of students. The results of this study indicate that the al-ta'bir mushawwar strategy is effective in improving students' maharah al-kalam

Abstract

This study aims to develop Hybrid Learning based on the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) application in the Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) program.The method used was Research and Development with the ADDIE instructional design model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate), with development stages (concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution). The results showed that the development of Hybrid Learning based on CAT application can be used in the Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) program which contains three language competency tests, (istima, tarakib and Qira’ah) and fulfills several aspects; 1) Self Instructional, 2) Self Instructional, 3) Self Contained, 4) Standalone, 5) User Friendly, and 6) Adaptive to technological developments. The results of the CAT-APT application trial in a limited group obtained a score of 80 (good) to 88 (very good), in the media validation test the score was 80 (good) to 86 (very good), the programming validation test and a score of 80 (good) to 88 (very good), while in the testing on the tester, the pretest score had not yet reached the advanced level, while in the posttest there were 9 testers who reached the advanced score.

Abstract

The Orthography of Arab Pegon in Gorontalo is very important to study, but it has not yet been integrated into the curriculum based on local cultural wisdom. This research aims to answer three questions: (1) How is the analysis of students' needs related to difficulties in learning Arab Pegon Orthography in the context of local wisdom? (2) How is the evaluation of educational institutions' readiness to implement Arab Pegon Orthography in a curriculum based on local wisdom? (3) What are the strategic recommendations for integrating Arab Pegon Orthography into the curriculum of educational institutions in Gorontalo? The research method uses a mixed approach, with data collected through surveys, interviews, and observations. The sample consists of 50 students, 20 teachers, and 5 managers of pesantren in Gorontalo. The results of the study show that the evaluation data on the difficulties of teaching Arab Pegon Orthography in Gorontalo are not normally distributed, necessitating non-parametric statistical methods through the Kruskal-Wallis test, which indicates no significant differences among the indicators of Fluency, Pronunciation, Writing, and Comprehension, suggesting that the performance among groups is relatively similar. The Mann-Whitney U Test comparison shows that Hubulo excels if there are significant differences. The evaluation of institutional readiness shows that 60% have adequate infrastructure, while 40% need improvement and 60% of institutions have competent teachers. Strategic recommendations include (1) curriculum integration with local wisdom, (2) regular training for teachers, (3) partnerships with higher education institutions, and (4) the use of technology in learning, aimed at addressing challenges and enhancing students' love for reading, writing, and understanding the Orthography of Arab Pegon in Gorontalo.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the accessibility of free education policies at senior high school of private schools in Kwandang sub-district, Gorontalo Utara districts. This type of research is a case study research, with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources used interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the free education policy for private schools in Gorontalo Utara districts has fulfilled several aspects, namely: 1) Legal Protection, 2) Budget Sources, 3) Free Education Policy Design, 4) Implementing Organizations, 5) Free Education Costs, 6) Fund Distribution and Disbursement, 7) Accountability and Evaluation. Public accessibility to free education policies are carried out in the context of 1) stimulating equitable distribution of education in the regions, as well as providing opportunities for the less fortunate for sustainable education, 2) narrowing the space for the existence of education costs that burden students 3) encouraging private schools to compete realizing quality education, 4) providing moral and material encouragement for underprivileged children to obtain an education that was previously loaded with various types of financing items, 5) improving the quality of human resources (HR) in private schools, 6) reducing the level of children dropping out of school, ignorance, unemployment and poverty, 7) assisting students in getting the education and learning services in order to develop themselves based on their talents, interests, intelligence, and abilities, 8) assisting private schools in fulfilling adequate educational facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Arabic language texts designed to improve beginner-level speaking proficiency for learners who are just starting to learn Arabic. This development is necessary because many existing teaching materials primarily provide information without fostering learners’ interactive engagement in the learning process. Moreover, numerous teachers still rely on conventional textbooks that inadequately support the enhancement of learners’ maharatul kalam (speaking skills), indicating an urgent need for more adaptive and engaging teaching materials. This study employs a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Validation of materials, language, and media utilized a Likert scale ranging from 1 (very poor) to 5 (very good). Validation results from material experts, linguists, and media experts demonstrated excellent quality, with scores of 99.25%, 97.5%, and 89.14%, respectively. These findings indicate that the developed muhadatsah teaching materials possess a high level of quality in content, language, and media, making them highly suitable for beginner-level learners aiming to improve their Arabic speaking proficiency. Additionally, this study contributes innovative resources for educators, promoting more interactive and effective learning experiences that enhance learners’ confidence and speaking abilities in Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop Arabic orthography instructional materials using the Kahoot platform integrated with gamification to enhance students’ understanding of Arabic writing rules. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, involving 60 students from MAN 1 Boalemo. The development process included needs analysis, content design, material digitization, validation, implementation, and evaluation. Expert validation confirmed high feasibility with ratings of 88% (media expert), 83% (content expert), and 92% (language expert). Trial implementation showed strong acceptance from both teachers (89%) and students (80%). Learning effectiveness was measured through pretest and posttest, with mean scores improving from 58.85 to 84.20. Paired sample t-tests indicated statistically significant improvement (p < 0.05), while normality tests confirmed data distribution was normal. The results suggest that gamified instructional design using Kahoot effectively boosts student motivation, engagement, and mastery of Arabic orthography. This work contributes to the field by offering an engaging, scalable, and pedagogically sound solution for Arabic language learning in digital environments.
