Abstract

Education plays an important role in changingsociety. Thereforewhen there is a deviation, always folowed by criticism in the practice of Islamic education. Deviations are not identical with the concept of education. Conceptually, any education - including Islam - has the concept of benefit. The purpose of education is to spread the benefits to the people. To realize these noble ideals, so there is no destructive material. Reciprocally, the methods used in conveying messages are not bad, even those methods have the function of developing positive attitudes in each student, for example the group discussion method that emphasizes caring for others in achieving the same goals. In Al-Qur’an and Hadits there is the concept of children’s education that needs to be systematically reviewed. This article contains several verses in AlQur’an and Hadits that underlie children’s education, both from the objectives, methods, or educational material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social behavior and Akidah Akhlak instruction on the development of students’ humanistic character at Madrasah Aliyah. The research is grounded in the growing concern that modern education often emphasizes cognitive achievement while paying less attention to moral and social character formation. In Islamic educational institutions, particularly Madrasah Aliyah, the integration of religious values and social interaction is expected to cultivate empathy, tolerance, and moral responsibility among students. Study Design/Methodology/Approach: This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 160 students at Madrasah Aliyah through structured questionnaires measuring social behavior, Akidah Akhlak instruction, and humanistic character. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the extent to which social behavior and religious instruction influence the formation of students’ humanistic character. Statistical analysis was conducted to assess the significance and strength of the relationships among the variables.Findings: The results reveal that both social behavior and Akidah Akhlak instruction significantly influence students’ humanistic character. Social behavior demonstrates a strong contribution to the development of empathy, cooperation, and mutual respect among students. Meanwhile, Akidah Akhlak instruction reinforces moral awareness, ethical responsibility, and spiritual values. The regression analysis indicates that the two variables positively and significantly predict the development of students’ humanistic character.Research Limitations/Implications: This study is limited to one Madrasah Aliyah and relies on self-reported data, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. In addition, limited technological resources in developing educational contexts may influence data collection and analysis processes.Originality/Value: This research contributes to the discourse on character education by highlighting the integrated role of social interaction and Islamic moral instruction in shaping students’ humanistic character. The findings provide practical implications for educators and policymakers in strengthening character-based education within Islamic schools. Future research may expand the scope by involving multiple institutions and incorporating qualitative approaches to gain deeper insights into the processes of character formation

Abstract

The digital revolution has fundamentally reshaped how religious values are communicated, yet Islamic education institutions have been slow to adapt their da'wah (preaching) strategies accordingly. This study addresses this gap by identifying and analyzing effective digital da'wah strategies within the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim-majority country. Employing a qualitative literature review methodology with descriptive analysis, the research systematically examines academic articles, books, and policy documents published between 2015 and 2025. Through iterative processes of data reduction, thematic categorization, and interpretive analysis, four strategic pillars emerge: (1) integration of technology-based curricula, (2) utilization of social media as a religious education medium, (3) development of online learning platforms, and (4) strengthening digital literacy among educators and students. These strategies collectively expand da'wah reach, enhance youth engagement, and deepen the internalization of Islamic values in digital spaces. The study makes two significant contributions: theoretically, it advances digital da'wah discourse by foregrounding its adaptive and contextual dimensions within Islamic education; practically, it offers actionable recommendations for institutional policy reform, educator capacity building, and ethical digital content production. Future research should employ empirical methods including surveys, experiments, and longitudinal studies to assess the effectiveness, challenges, and long-term impacts of digital da'wah on religious behavior and social transformation across diverse Muslim communities.
