Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di delapan sekolah dasar di Kota Palu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas Kurikulum Merdeka bervariasi antar sekolah, dengan keberhasilan yang lebih tinggi di sekolah yang memiliki dukungan manajemen yang baik dan pelatihan guru yang memadai. Meskipun efisiensi waktu cukup tinggi, keterbatasan sumber daya dan alat bantu belajar tetap menjadi kendala utama. Proyek berbasis konteks lokal terbukti relevan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, tetapi distribusi manfaat kurikulum belum merata akibat ketimpangan sumber daya dan dukungan pelatihan. Dengan menggunakan kerangka evaluasi kebijakan William M. Dunn, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kebutuhan mendesak untuk pelatihan intensif guru, penyediaan sumber daya, dan distribusi biaya yang adil guna memastikan implementasi yang lebih inklusif dan efektif.AbstractThis study evaluates the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in eight primary schools in Palu City through a qualitative, case-study approach. Data collection involved unstructured observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate varying effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum across schools, with higher success rates in institutions supported by strong management and adequate teacher training. While time efficiency was relatively high, limited resources and teaching aids remain significant challenges. Locally contextualized projects proved relevant in fostering students' critical thinking skills; however, curriculum benefits were unevenly distributed due to disparities in resources and training support. Applying William M. Dunn's policy evaluation framework, the study identifies critical needs for intensive teacher training, resource provision, and equitable funding distribution to ensure a more inclusive and effective implementation.

Abstract

Solar thermal power generation using thermoelectric technology offers promising potential for renewable energy use in Palu, Indonesia, providing a clean and sustainable source of electricity for low-power electronic devices. This approach not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also supports sustainable regional development by offering an alternative to fossil fuels, thus strengthening long-term energy resilience. Additionally, utilizing renewable energy can foster local economic opportunities and decrease energy import costs. This study employs a thermoelectric generator (TEG) that converts heat focused through water lenses into electrical power via the Seebeck effect. The system’s performance depends on the temperature difference created between the heated and cooled sides of the thermoelectric module. Experimental results showed a voltage range of 0.1 V to 0.33 V, producing a current of about 0.001 A, with an output power of 1.0 × 10⁻⁴ W to 3.3 × 10⁻⁴ W. Though the current output supports low-power devices, further optimization is required to enhance efficiency. This research underscores the viability of water lens-based thermoelectric systems as an eco-friendly energy solution in solar-rich regions, presenting a potential pathway for sustainable energy generation.

Abstract

This study identifies the issues of insufficient effective teaching materials and minimal utilization of technology in education. Teaching models that do not involve student participation and the suboptimal use of educational media can hinder conceptual understanding and result in low cognitive learning outcomes and scientific reasoning skills among students. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry model integrated with audiovisual media to enhance conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning in teaching static fluids. The research employs a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving tenth-grade students from a senior high school in Palu during the 2023/2024 academic year. A cluster random sampling technique was used to select participants. Data collection was carried out using pretests and posttests to measure the improvement in both conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning. The results show an average normalized gain score of 0.59 for conceptual understanding, categorized as moderate, and 0.70 for scientific reasoning, categorized as high. Furthermore, a strong, significant correlation (r = 0.61) was found between conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning, indicating that the use of audiovisual media in guided inquiry enhances not only knowledge acquisition but also critical thinking skills. Therefore, this learning model is recommended for use in science education in schools to optimize students' cognitive and scientific reasoning skills. The findings of this research carry significant implications for the advancement of educational practices, particularly in the field of science learning. By highlighting key areas that require attention, the study provides insights that can inform curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies. This, in turn, can enhance student engagement and understanding, ultimately leading to more effective and meaningful learning experiences in science education.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is driven by the deficiency in students' critical thinking skills, which is rooted in the dominance of lecture-based teaching approaches. These traditional methods restrict student engagement and exploration, crucial for fostering critical thought. The research aims to explore the impact of the guided inquiry learning model on enhancing critical thinking skills among elementary students, specifically focusing on a sample of 40 fifth-grade students at SDN Lonja. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest control groups, the study gathered data through tests, observations, and documentation. The Paired Samples Test used for data analysis indicated a significant difference at the 5% level, with a p-value of 0.000. This outcome led to the rejection of the null hypothesis, confirming that the guided inquiry model significantly enhances students' critical thinking skills in Natural Sciences. The findings underscore the potential of guided inquiry as an effective instructional model, which actively engages students in learning, promotes analytical thinking, and reduces dependency on rote memorization, thereby nurturing critical thinking competencies essential for lifelong learning and problem-solving. This research holds implications for educators and curriculum developers seeking to adopt student-centered learning strategies that better prepare students for future academic and personal challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by the Quizizz platform on improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics. The research was conducted in Grade IV at SD Inpres 2 Besusu using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest-posttest method. The evaluation instruments consisted of 12 validated and reliable questions, including 8 multiple-choice items (Cronbach's alpha = 0.772) and 4 essay items (Cronbach's alpha = 0.833). The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes after the application of the GBL model with Quizizz. Paired sample t-test analysis revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.001 < 0.05). The N-Gain score reached an average of 0.6389, which falls into the moderate category. These findings suggest that integrating game elements through Quizizz creates an engaging and interactive learning environment, enhancing students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The GBL model not only fosters motivation but also directly improves students' cognitive performance. Therefore, the model is recommended as an effective and innovative instructional strategy in primary school mathematics education.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance elementary students’ learning interest in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) through the application of the cooperative learning model, Teams Games Tournament (TGT). The research was conducted as Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Data were collected using a yes/no learning interest questionnaire and observation sheets measuring both teacher and student activity. The TGT model was implemented through five main stages: class presentation, team study, games, tournaments, and rewards. The results demonstrated a substantial increase in the implementation quality of teaching activities, with teacher activity scores improving from 85.3% in Cycle I to 97.1% in Cycle II, and student activity scores from 82% to 97%. Furthermore, students’ average learning interest rose from 50.8% in the first cycle to 83% in the second. Improvements were also observed across all interest indicators, including attention, enjoyment, curiosity, and participation. These findings indicate that the TGT model effectively supports a student-centered, interactive, and engaging learning environment, fostering emotional involvement and active participation. Therefore, the TGT model is recommended as a promising instructional strategy for increasing learning interest in primary education settings.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in enhancing cognitive learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Kayuboko in the IPAS subject. The research was driven by low academic performance, largely due to conventional and uninspired teaching practices. Utilizing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study was conducted over two cycles, each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Twenty students participated as research subjects. Data were gathered through cognitive achievement tests, classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. Results from the first cycle showed a learning mastery rate of 70% with an average score of 70.4. In the second cycle, mastery improved to 85% with an average of 78.65. These findings confirm that the TGT model effectively boosts student motivation, participation, and cognitive achievement in a structured and engaging learning environment. The study recommends integrating TGT into classroom instruction to support better learning outcomes and improve overall educational quality in primary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran elektronik dengan memanfaatkan Linktree berbantuan Heyzine dan Quizwhizzer, dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran elektronik berbasis Linktree berbantuan Heyzine dan Quizwhizzer. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development atau R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D, yang mencakup tahap Define, Design, dan dibatasi sampai Develop. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI Mayana di SMA Negeri 9 Sigi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert, dan analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran fisika berbasis Linktree dengan bantuan Heyzine dan Quizwhizzer layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Dari hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,88 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, Validasi ahli media diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,78 dengan kategori  “Sangat Baik”, angket respon guru diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,44 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, dan angket respon peserta didik diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,40 dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Fisika materi suhu dan kalor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap siswa terhadap modul ajar fisika berbasis kurikulum merdeka dan hubunganya dengan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model penelitian korelasional. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan korelasi sebesar 0,503. Hal ini berarti bahwa nilai rhitung 0.503> rtabel 0,250, dengan nilai Signifikansi; Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar <.001  (Sig. < 0,05). Selain itu hasil uji determinasi diperoleh nilai R square sebesar 0.253. Nilai R square ini berasal dari pengkuadratan nilai koefisien korelasi atau “R” yaitu 0.503 = 0.253. Sehingga besarnya angka koefisien determinasi adalah 0.253 atau sama dengan 25,3%. Mengandung arti bahwa variabel sikap siswa (X) berpengaruh terhadap variabel hasil belajar siswa (Y) sebesar 25,3%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 74,7% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. Berdasarkan hasil pada uji korelasi dan uji determinasi H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, serta dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara sikap siswa terhadap modul ajar fisika dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Palu.

Abstract

Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Pembelajaran Eksperimen untuk Mendorong Proses Bernalar Kritis pada Materi Hukum Ohm dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa kelas XII di SMAN 3 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan meggunakan metode  eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Palu yang terdiri dari 198 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XII MIPA 3  (n=33) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XII MIPA 6  (n=33) sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen Hasil belajar berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi. Hasil tes Hasil belajar  setelah diberikan perlakuan menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kelas eksperimen 76,55 dan kelas kontrol 54,38. Setelah itu dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji T (Independent Sample T-test) diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bernalar kritis dan hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Palu.
