Abstract

This study explores the integration of moderate values in character education through a narrative review of current literature, with a specific focus on Islamic educational settings such as madrasahs. The aim is to understand how character formation can be effectively achieved through a synthesis of religious traditions and modern pedagogical innovations. The review adopts a narrative method to critically examine key thematic patterns, drawing from empirical studies and qualitative insights. Results reveal that integrating moderate religious values with educational curricula enhances moral development, social tolerance, and holistic student character. Educators play a crucial role, particularly through narrative teaching methods and curriculum innovations that align with cultural contexts. Systemic factors such as rigid policies, bureaucratic institutional structures, and social disparities are identified as major challenges. The discussion advocates for reformative actions, including decentralizing education policy, improving teacher training, and incorporating digital and project-based learning. This review enriches existing academic discourse by emphasizing narrative and emotional engagement, providing a holistic framework for educational reform. The study concludes that character education must be dynamic, culturally adaptive, and grounded in moderate values to effectively respond to contemporary global and local educational demands.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh kegiatan Ekstrakulikuler pramuka mampu membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik, khususnya di MI Al-Khoiriyyah kelas VI. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara Wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dianggap sebagai salah satu hal yang sangat penting dalam proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik salah satunya yaitu dalam pembentukan sikap disiplin, kemandirian dan kreativitas. Pembelajaran melalui kegiatan pramuka merupakan sarana pembelajaran yang berkaitan secara langsung dengan kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga memudahkan peserta didik untuk menerima dan memahami pesan atau materi yang telah disampaikan pembina kepada anggotanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dimana pada proses penelitiannya dengan menggunakan instrumen wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi langsung untuk menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan melalui data yang telah terkumpul sebagaimana adanya tanpa bermaksud membuat kesimpulan yang berlaku secara umum atau generalisasi. Berdasarkan Wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan obsevasi melalui partisipasi yang telah peneliti lakukan  dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa peran kegiatan pramuka secara signifikan bisa membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik di MI Al-Khoiriyyah.

Abstract

The integrated curriculum is an interdisciplinary approach, combining various disciplines into one learning experience to create a holistic education. This curriculum has been applied since the establishment of the Islamic Boarding School to improve the quality of education to remain relevant to the needs of the community. This study uses qualitative research methods which include data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study aims to determine the integrated curriculum system of Welas Asih Islamic Boarding School, how the application of curriculum integration in improving PAI learning outcomes at Welas Asih Islamic Boarding School and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving learning outcomes at Welas Asih Islamic Boarding School. The results of this study show that Welas Asih Islamic Boarding School integrates the curriculum by making a separate module book that contains various disciplines. The implementation of an integrated curriculum has a positive impact on improving the knowledge and skills of students. Supporting factors for the implementation of this curriculum include the competence of teachers who have met academic qualifications, training every three months to improve the competence of teachers and the involvement of parents through the ABWA community (father mother Welas Asih) which supports the learning process. However, obstacles such as the difficulty of some students in socializing and inadequate facilities such as a mosque that can accommodate all students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of Islamic civilization and thought in Spain, particularly during the golden era of Al-Andalus (711–1492 CE). Employing a literature review approach, this research gathers and analyzes various historical and scholarly sources that discuss the contributions of Muslims in science, philosophy, art, and culture. The findings reveal that Al-Andalus served as an intellectual hub of the Islamic world, acting as a bridge of knowledge between the East and the West. Figures such as Ibn Rushd and Ibn Arabi demonstrated remarkable achievements in philosophy and mysticism, with their ideas also influencing intellectual developments in Europe. Furthermore, the harmonious interaction among Muslims, Christians, and Jews in Al-Andalus fostered a climate of tolerance that invigorated the exchange of knowledge and culture. This research underscores that the legacy of Islamic civilization in Spain holds significance not only for Islamic history but also for the advancement of global civilization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas 2 melalui penggunaan alat peraga dikelas yaitu media papan penjumlahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen quasi dengan desain pretest dan postest yang dilaksanakan di kelas 2 MIN 4 Garut. Teknik Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupa wawancara, observasi, tes, dokumentasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dua sampel independent/uji t dan uji N Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan media papan penjumlahan efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar khususnya materi mengenai penjumlahan 3 bilangan. Berdasarkan hasil uji perhitungan uji Ngain Skor motivasi belajar siswa menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata Ngain skor untuk kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan pembelajaran media papan penjumlahan adalah sebesar 83.3724 atau 83 % maka termasuk dalam kategori efektif. Sedangkan untuk kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberikan perlakuan, rata-rata N Gain skor adalah sekitar 6.091 atau saat dibulatkan menjadi 6 % ini termasuk dalam kategori tidak efektif. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan daklam peningkatan motivasi belajar antara kelompok eksperimen yang menerima pembelajaran dnegan menggunakan media papan penjumlahan di bandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yang tidak mendapatkan perlakuan.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada pelaksanaan program pengajian di sekolah sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kerohanian para guru. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sejauh mana program pengajian di SDIT Atikah Musaddad telah diterapkan secara efektif dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan spiritualitas guru. Meskipun program pengajian telah dilaksanakan, masih ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, seperti variasi tingkat partisipasi guru, metode pelaksanaan yang belum optimal, serta pengaruhnya terhadap keseharian dan profesionalisme mereka. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas program pengajian serta mencari strategi yang dapat mengoptimalkan perannya dalam meningkatkan kerohanian para guru. Program pengajian di sekolah menjadi salah satu upaya penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas spiritual dan keagamaan para guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan program pengajian di SDIT Atikah Musaddad sebagai sarana penguatan kerohanian guru, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam bersama guru dan kepala sekolah, serta dokumentasi kegiatan pengajian.  Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di SDIT Atikah Musaddad, sebuah sekolah Islam terpadu yang menerapkan program pengajian bagi guru. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2025.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi akan dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa program pengajian yang terencana dan berkelanjutan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran spiritual guru, menguatkan karakter religius mereka, serta menciptakan atmosfer sekolah yang lebih kondusif untuk pembelajaran berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman. Meski demikian, masih terdapat beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu, rendahnya partisipasi, dan kurangnya dukungan kebijakan yang menjadi tantangan utama dalam penerapan program ini. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan partisipasi dalam program pengajian di sekolah.  Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pihak sekolah dalam mengoptimalkan program pengajian sebagai sarana peningkatan kerohanian guru. Hasil penelitian juga dapat menjadi acuan bagi sekolah lain dalam merancang program serupa yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic civilization and thought during the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties through a historical-philosophical lens. The Umayyad Dynasty is noted for its political and administrative achievements that significantly expanded Islamic territories. In contrast, the Abbasid Dynasty is recognized as a hub of scientific, philosophical, and cultural development, ushering in the golden age of Islamic intellectualism. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, drawing upon academic sources published within the last five years. Findings reveal that both dynasties played crucial roles in establishing the foundation of a holistic Islamic civilization. The Umayyads emphasized political and military expansion, while the Abbasids significantly contributed to scientific and cultural advancements. The study concludes that the development of Islamic thought cannot be separated from the historical and political contexts of the time, and was further enriched by interactions with other civilizations such as the Greeks and Persians. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of contemporary Islamic civilization studies.

Abstract

Since the era of the Arab nation before Islam until today, the journey of Islamic thought and civilization has experienced various dynamics, both progress and decline. The development of Islamic thought has influenced the growth of Islamic civilization in various parts of the world, and vice versa. This shows how close the relationship is between Islamic ideas and civilization. This research method uses literature. Literature research involves collecting information and data from various sources found in libraries, including books, periodicals, notes, historical records, and more. The results of this study show that the development of Islamic thought and civilization has a reciprocal relationship, where developing thought drives the progress of civilization, while advanced civilization helps to fertilize Islamic thought. Understanding this journey is key to ensuring the contribution of Muslims to the modern world.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of differentiated instruction on students’ learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMAN 19 Garut. The empirical gap identified is the lack of diverse teaching methods in PAI, which affects student engagement and motivation, especially in understanding abstract concepts. This study aims to analyze the impact of differentiated instruction by adjusting teaching strategies based on students’ readiness, interests, and learning styles. A quantitative descriptive method with simple linear regression was applied, collecting data through a Likert-scale questionnaire with high validity and reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha: 0.945 for differentiated instruction and 0.941 for motivation). The findings indicate a significant positive effect, with a regression coefficient of 0.633 (p < 0.001) and an R² value of 35.8%, demonstrating that this method substantially enhances students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. This research contributes practical insights for educators to implement adaptive teaching strategies, particularly in abstract subjects like PAI, through group discussions, project-based learning, and multimedia integration. The study also supports the Merdeka Curriculum framework in fostering more engaging and student-centered learning environments

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial ratios on the likelihood of financial distress in property and real estate companies listed on the stock exchanges of six ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam during the period 2018–2022. The variables analyzed include Total Asset Turnover, Sales Growth, Current Ratio, Debt Ratio, and Return on Investment. The method used is a quantitative approach with logistic regression, based on 1,630 firm-year observations obtained from the company's financial statements. The results of the Hosmer and Lemeshow test indicate that the initial model is not appropriate, but alternative tests through the Area Under the Curve value of 0.7728 indicate that the model has quite good predictive ability. The analysis results show that Sales Growth and Current Ratio have a significant negative effect on financial distress, while Debt Ratio has a significant positive effect. Conversely, Total Asset Turnover and Return on Investment do not show a significant effect. These findings emphasize the importance of considering aspects of liquidity, sales growth, and capital structure in predicting financial risk, especially in the property sector which has long-term investment characteristics. This research contributes to broadening the understanding of cross-border financial risk in the ASEAN region.
