Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education through the organizational activities of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) at SMK Muhammadiyah Karanganyar. In addition, the paper attempts to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of character education through the organizational activities of the IPM at SMK Muhammadiyah Karanganyar. This study was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Karanganyar, Pekalongan Regency. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation with three stages of data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study concluded that the implementation of character education through the organizational activities of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) at the Karanganyar Muhammadiyah Vocational School was carried out systematically, namely, through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. Activities that support character education at the Karanganyar Muhammadiyah Vocational School are recitation of Qur’an, singing Indonesia Raya songs and Monday and Friday infaq program. Among the supporting factors of the program are collaboration with teachers, self-awareness of students, careful planning of activities while the inhibiting factors are lack of self-confidence, lack of communication, differences of opinion and lack of responsibility

Abstract

Adab of santri refers to the behavior exhibited by students in their daily lives, both within and outside the pesantren. Variations in personality are natural, as students come from diverse family and cultural backgrounds. One of the defining characteristics of a pesantren is its role as a place where students learn and develop into individuals with noble character and proper etiquette. The formation of a santri’s etiquette naturally involves gradual stages and habitual practices established through structured rules. Therefore, Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Sains Ar Risalah Solo serves as an intriguing case for studying the process of cultivating etiquette among its female students. This research employs a field study approach, utilizing observation and interviews with the teachers as the primary methods.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental aspect in the formation of individual and societal character. Educational principles based on the Koran and Hadith provide comprehensive instruction that covers spiritual, moral, intellectual and social aspects. The purpose of this article is to examine educational principles from the perspective of the Al-Quran and Hadith using literature review and textual analysis methods. The Koran emphasizes the importance of knowledge, the formation of noble morals, and balance between this world and the afterlife. The hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) emphasizes the need for example, motivation and compassion in the educational process. The findings of this research indicate that the principles of Islamic education focus on realizing full human potential with the aim of achieving happiness in life in this world and the hereafter. This article aims to be a reference in curriculum development and teaching practices based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of Nuzulul Qur'an in the context of Al-Baqarah verse 185, which concerns the obligation to fast in the month of Ramadan. Nuzulul Qur'an refers to the gradual decline of Allah's revelations to the Prophet Muhammad SAW over 23 years. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 185 explains the rules for implementing fasting during the month of Ramadan, as well as the wisdom behind this obligation. This research uses a historical interpretation approach (tafsir asbabun nuzul) to explore the background to the revelation of this verse and its relevance in the social and religious context of that time. Apart from that, this research also examines the application of this verse in the lives of Muslims from a theological and practical perspective. The research results show that this verse was revealed as a response to the situation of the people of Mecca who at that time needed practical guidance regarding fasting. This research also highlights the deep meaning behind fasting as a means of spiritual formation, building self-discipline, and increasing social awareness. Thus, it is hoped that this research can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of the values ​​contained in this verse and their relevance in the lives of Muslims today.

Abstract

This study discusses educational management from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith. Education is highly valued in Islam. By citing the verses of the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet as a guide, we can see how the principles of educational management can be applied in the world of Islamic education. A descriptive-analytical qualitative approach is used in this study by examining the texts of the Qur'an, Hadith, and related literature. This study examines key concepts such as leadership, learning, and personal development in the context of Islamic education and explains how these principles can be useful for educators and school administrators. The results of this study by understanding and applying the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith in educational management, we can create a better educational environment that is in line with Islamic values, so that we can achieve the noble ultimate goal of educating a generation that is pious and has good morals.

Abstract

Hadith is one of the sources of Islamic law that plays a vital role in explaining and complementing the Qur'an. This article aims to examine the urgency and function of hadith in the context of Islamic education, especially in explaining values ​​that are not explicitly stated in the Qur'an. In addition, we will discuss how hadith can be used as a basis for educational methodology. This study uses a literature approach, by tracing various primary and secondary sources that discuss the role of hadith in education. The results of the study show that hadith functions as an explanation, complement, reinforcement, and limitation of the verses of the Qur'an, thus becoming an important foundation for the development of a comprehensive Islamic education system. Furthermore, the function of hadith which includes explaining the law, strengthening moral values, and compiling a learning methodology based on compassion, makes it still relevant in the context of modern education. The practical implication of this study is the importance of a deep understanding of hadith in designing an Islamic education curriculum that focuses on character building and spiritual development.

Abstract

Character education is a planned effort to build identity and strengthen students' character. It is an endeavor to help students understand the values of human behavior in relation to God, themselves, and others. The purpose of this study is to explore the values of character education derived from verses of the Qur'an and Hadiths, which can serve as a foundation for human development within the community. The study focuses on identifying Qur'anic verses and Hadiths that reinforce character building and interpreting their meanings as narrated by scholars of Hadith to serve as foundational data. The findings indicate that character education is essential because education not only aims to nurture intelligent students but also seeks to instill character and courtesy in daily life. If students possess strong character, the nation will benefit, as students are the future generation of the country. Therefore, they must build their character from an early age so that as future leaders, they are not only intelligent but also possess good moral character. For this reason, instilling character values in students must begin as early as possible, during a period when children absorb practical knowledge as preparation for their future.

Abstract

The theory of student development has become an important study in the world of education. Three main theories, namely nativism, empiricism, and convergence, offer different perspectives in understanding the factors that influence student learning and growth. Nativism emphasizes that individual development is more influenced by innate factors, while empiricism assumes that experience and environment are the main factors in learning. Convergence theory tries to combine these two views, by emphasizing the interaction between genetic and environmental factors in the educational process. This research aims to analyze the extent to which these three theories are still relevant in the context of modern education. Although convergence is becoming a more widely accepted approach, there is still a research gap regarding how innate and environmental factors interact specifically in the learning process, especially with current technological developments.

Abstract

Pesantren adalah lembaga pendidikan tradisional Islam yang hidup dan berkembang di negeri ini sejak ratusan tahun yang lalu. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam yang cukup berumur, pesantren membuktikan dirinya menjadi salah satu benteng pertahanan umat Islam, pusat dakwah dan pusat pengembangan masyarakat muslim di Indonesia. Menurut data Kemenag, setidaknya ada 39.043 pesantren pada 2022/2023, dengan total jumlah santri sebanyak 4,08 juta. Jumlah pesantren paling banyak terdapat di Jawa Barat, yakni 12.121 unit. Untuk Jawa Tengah, terdapat 5.084 unit. Merujuk kepada data Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada 2020/2021, terdapat sekitar 408 pesantren di eks. Karesidenan Surakarta. Perkembangan pesat pesantren tentunya diikuti peran aktif lembaga ini dalam membina masyarakat. Sayangnya, masih sedikit pesantren menyadari dan memandang perlu untuk menuliskan sejarahnya. Mereka belum mempunyai buku sejarahnya masing-masing. Berangkat dari masalah ini, kiranya perlu dilaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa workshop pelatihan penulisan sejarah pesantren untuk para guru pesantren di eks. Karesidenan Surakarta. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan bekal kepada para guru dan pengelola pesantren mengenai cara menyusun buku sejarah pesantren. Adapun metode pendekatan yang digunakan terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu: 1) tahapan persiapan; 2) tahapan pelaksanaan atau pemaparan materi; 3) tahapan sesi tanya jawab; dan 4) tahapan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dari para peserta yang datang dari berbagai pesantren di wilayah eks. Karesidenan Surakarta.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) dalam membentuk karakter tanggung jawab pada santriwati di Pondok Pesantren Imam Bukhari, Solo, khususnya pada santriwati kelas 1 Tsanawiyyah putri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dalam kerangka penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, yang dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Imam Bukhari, khususnya di area Putri, Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer, yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas 1 Tsanawiyyah, serta data sekunder yang diambil dari buku, jurnal, dan catatan sejarah jumlah siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, menggunakan panduan wawancara, daftar periksa observasi, pedoman dokumentasi, dan rencana studi kasus. Proses analisis data meliputi tiga tahap: reduksi data (penyaringan data relevan), penyajian data (menyusun data dalam bentuk narasi atau matriks), dan penarikan kesimpulan (menganalisis data untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam). Validitas dan keandalan hasil penelitian diperiksa melalui triangulasi data dari berbagai sumber, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap fenomena yang diteliti. Penelitian di Pondok Pesantren Imam Bukhari menunjukkan bahwa upaya guru dalam membentuk karakter tanggung jawab pada santriwati kelas 1 Tsanawiyyah dilakukan melalui strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dan pembiasaan yang konsisten. Guru memberikan keteladanan, menyisipkan nasehat dari kisah nabi dan sahabat, serta melakukan pengawasan dan peringatan untuk membimbing santriwati agar memiliki rasa tanggung jawab dalam setiap tindakan.
