Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN 4 Karangpawitan on the material The Beauty of Mutual Respect in Diversity through the application of the Information Search learning method. This method encourages active involvement of students in searching, evaluating, and utilizing information effectively, based on constructivism theory, inquiry-based learning, and planned behavior theory. The research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach in two cycles involving 13 students. Data was collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in the second cycle, with the average student score reaching 85 and learning completion of 92%. Student activity in learning increased from 61% in the first cycle to 88% in the second cycle. The application of this method has succeeded in creating an interactive learning atmosphere, increasing student understanding, and supporting the formation of inclusive characters. This study proves the effectiveness of the Information Search method in thematic learning based on diversity values.

Abstract

This research started from the problem of class IV MIN 09 Central Aceh students not being able to understand the content of the literature they read. This research has an important urgency for students, namely as a provision for them to quickly understand information later. So it is hoped that the presence of comic media will make them focus on reading and be able to understand the content of the reading they read. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method, consisting of 4 stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instruments in this research are first: observation, consisting of observations made to see the effectiveness of learning reading comprehension using comic media, and second: test, asking questions related to students' reading material. Based on the research conducted, there was a student's understanding of the content of reading materials using comic media from cycle I to cycle II, it can be seen as follows: in cycle 1, there were 13 students who completed it with a percentage of 53% and 12 students who did not complete it with a percentage of 48%. %. Then in cycle II only 3 students did not complete with a percentage of 12% and the remaining 22 students completed, namely getting a score of 70 and above with a percentage of 88%. So, it can be stated that the research carried out can run well.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of school principals' technological competence and its role in the effectiveness of school management in the digital era. Using a qualitative research method with a literature review approach, the study identifies the concepts of school principals' technological competency, the indicators of this competency, and its relationship with the effectiveness of school management. The analysis results reveal three fundamental components of principals' technological competences: digital literacy, technological literacy, and human literacy, which principal’s must possess as a foundation to support their leadership duties in the digital era. These competencies are significantly influence the effectiveness of school management, such as efficient and effective administration, innovative technology-based learning, precise and rapid data-driven decision-making, transparency and accountability in school management, effective and productive school communication, and flexible, effective, collaborative, and globally of professional teacher development.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease often caused by poor dietary habits and lack of physical activity. Irregular eating patterns and physical inactivity need to be addressed to help patients maintain their blood sugar levels. This study aims to examine the relationship between diet, physical activity, and blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Kampung Delima Health Center.Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood sugar levels due to problems with the insulin hormone, which helps maintain the body's balance by lowering blood sugar levels (American Diabetes Association, 2017). This disease is heavily influenced by lifestyle, so daily activities such as eating, sleeping, and working must be balanced. The amount and type of food, as well as exercise, need to be carefully managed and should not be neglected. Diabetes mellitus patients must pay attention to their diet, including calorie intake, necessary nutrients, types of food, and regular meal schedules (Sulistyowati, 2017), which describes the types and quantities of food consumed daily.This community service activity was conducted from January 20, 2025, to January 31, 2025. The evaluation of the activity included education on healthy lifestyle habits to reduce the risk of developing diabetes mellitus, aiming to provide advice and education to the community about diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi paclobutrazol dan komposisi pupuk NPK yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis pada sistem budidaya jenuh air pada media tanah aluvial. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Golden River Camp yang berlokasi di Desa Kalimas, Kecamatan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, sejak April sampai Juli 2024. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan split block yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu konsentrasi paclobutrazol (P) sebagai main plot dan komposisi pupuk NPK (N) sebagai sub plot. Konsentrasi paclobutrazol terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu  p1 (0 ppm), p2 (750 ppm), dan p3  (1500 ppm). Komposisi pupuk NPK terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu n1 (NPK 16-16-16, NPK 16-16-16, NPK 16-16-16), n2 (NPK 16-16-16, NPK 20-10-10, NPK 20-10-10), dan  n3  (NPK 16-16-16, NPK 20-10-10, NPK 9-25-25). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali dan masing-masing unit perlakuan terdiri 4 sampel tanaman. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman 4 dan 6 MST, panjang daun ke 4 dan 5, lebar daun ke 4 dan 5, diameter batang, panjang ruas batang, volume akar, berat kering bagian atas tanaman, umur berbunga jantan, umur berbunga betina, umur panen, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol, dan jumlah baris biji per tongkol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi paclobutrazol dapat menekan pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, panjang ruas batang dan berat kering tanaman) serta mempelebar daun dan memperbesar diameter batang, tetapi tidak mempengaruhi hasil tanaman jagung pada media tanah aluvial dengan sistem budidaya jenuh air (BJA). Perlakuan dengan konsentrasi 750 ppm merupakan konsentrasi yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman jagung manis, dapat menekan tinggi tanaman sebesar 40,55%. Pemberian komposisi pupuk NPK memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis  pada media tanah aluvial dengan sistem budidaya jenuh air (BJA).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan komposisi pupuk NPK dan ketinggian muka air tanah yang tepat untuk mendapatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik jagung manis pada sistem budidaya jenuh air di media tanah alluvial. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Golden River Camp yang berlokasi di Desa Kalimas, Kecamatan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, penelitian ini berlagsung sejak April – Juli 2024. Penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan Rancangan Split block RAK dengan kedalaman muka air tanah sebagai main plot (D) dengan 2 taraf dan komposisi NPK sebagai sub plot (P) dengan 4 taraf, sehingga didapatkan 8 kombinasi perlakuan, setiap perlakuan terdapat 3 ulangan dan masing-masing unit perlakuan terdiri 4 sampel tanaman, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan dengan demikian terdapat 96 tanaman. Faktor pertama kedalaman muka air tanah (D) terdiri dari d1= 20 cm dan d2= 30 cm. Faktor kedua komposisi NPK terdiri dari n1=NPK 16-16-16+NPK 16-16-16+NPK 16-16-16, n2 =NPK 16-16-16+NPK 20-10-10+ NPK 20-10-10, n3 =NPK 16-16-16+NPK 9-25-25 NPK 9-25-25, n4 =NPK 16-16-16+NPK 20-10-10+NPK 9-25-25. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Tinggi Tanaman, Panjang Daun, Lebar Daun, Diameter Batang, Panjang Ruas Batang, Volume Akar, Berat Kering Tanaman, Umur Berbunga Jantan, Umur Berbunga Betina, Umur Panen, Berat Tongkol Berkelobot, Berat Tongkol Tanpa Kelobot, Diameter Tongkol Tanpa Kelobot, Panjang Tongkol, dan Jumlah Baris Biji per Tongkol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan komposisi pupuk NPK berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap seluruh variabel penelitian. Sementara perlakuan kedalaman muka air tanah berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel variabel tinggi tanaman umur 6 MST, panjang daun, panjang ruas batang, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot dan jumlah baris biji per-tongkol. Kedalaman muka air tanah 30 cm dapat memberikan pertumbuhan jagung manis yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kedalaman muka air tanah 20 cm pada tanah aluvial dengan sistem budidaya jenuh air.

Abstract

The development of tidal land for agriculture faces various challenges in order to provide high productivity. One of the plant cultivation techniques developed in tidal areas is water saturated cultivation. This research aims to determine the growth and yield of flowering cabbage in acid sulphate tidal fields using a water-saturated cultivation system applied with various ameliorant compositions. This research was carried out in Kalimas village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency for 8 months (April up to October). The research design that be used is a field experiment with a split plot design with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The main plot is the Flower Cabbage variety (K) which consists of 2 varieties: k1 = Larissa F1 and k2 = Snow White F1. As a subplot is the ameliorant composition (A) which consists of chicken manure (pka), goat manure (pkk), biological fertilizer (ph) and dolomite lime (kd) with 8 compositions, namely: a1 = pka, a2 = pkk, a3 = pka + ph a4 = pkk + ph, a5 = pka + kd, a6 = pkk + kd, a7 = pka + ph + kd, and a8 = pkk + ph + kd. The results of the research show that the ameliorant composition has the same effect, while the variety and depth of the water table have a different effect on the growth of flowering cabbage plants on acid sulfate tidal land with a water-saturated cultivation system. The Larissa variety provides better growth than the Snowhite variety.

Abstract

Cultivation of cauliflower in West Kalimantan has high prospects for cultivation, especially on alluvial soil. However, cultivation of cauliflower on alluvial soil is faced with the constraint of soil pH which causes land productivity to decrease. Proper cultivation techniques and soil conditioners are needed to increase soil fertility so that land productivity increases. This study aims to obtain the best combination of manure and biological fertilizer doses that affect the growth and yield of cauliflower cultivation of Snow White and Larissa varieties and to determine which cauliflower varieties respond better after being treated. The study was conducted at the Golden River Camp land, Jalan Kalimas Tengah, Dusun Mawar, Kalimas Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kuburaya Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The study was conducted from July to November 2023. This study used a Split Block design. The main plot is the cauliflower variety (V) consisting of v1 = Larissa, v2 = Snow White and the subplot is a combination of manure and biological fertilizer (S) consisting of s1 = chicken manure, s2 = goat manure, s3 = chicken manure + biological fertilizer, and s4 = goat manure + biological fertilizer. There are 2 factors with 4 treatments. Each treatment consists of 3 replications so that there are 24 treatment units with each treatment unit determined by 4 plant samples and among the 4 plant samples determined by 1 destructive plant. The variables observed in this study include the number of leaves, leaf area, fresh plant weight, dry plant weight, flower emergence, crop diameter, and crop weight. The results showed that the interaction between the combination of manure and biological fertilizer on cauliflower varieties had a significant effect on crop diameter. The combination of ameliorants on the Larissa variety did not provide any difference in the growth and yield of cauliflower, while on the Snow White variety, the combination of ameliorants provided a difference in the yield of cauliflower plants. The combination of chicken manure + biological fertilizer and goat manure + biological fertilizer treatments on the Snow White variety gave better results than the treatment of chicken manure and goat manure on the growth and yield of cauliflower.

Abstract

The Cauliflower (Brassica oleraceae var botrytis L.) is a potential horticultural commodity that has great prospects for intensive development in the lowlands. The vitamin and fiber content in cauliflower is so abundant that it is very good for the human body. Cauliflowers can be cultivated on several types of mineral soil, one of which is acid sulfate mineral soil. Problems in acid sulfate mineral soils contain high clay, high soil acidity, a pyrite layer, and nutrient deficiencies. Efforts can be made to support the growth of cauliflower by applying a soil saturated culture system, providing combination of goat manure + bioboost + dolomite, and using lowland cauliflower varieties. The research location is at Golden River Camp Kalimas Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The research took place from July to November, 2023. The research design used was a Split Block Design, consisting of 2 treatment factors and repeated 3 times and consisting of 4 sample plants. The first factor is the variety as the main plot with 2 treatment levels (Larissa and Snow White) and the second factor is the combination of ts (goat manure ton/ha + bioboost ml/l + dolomite ton/ha) as a subplot with 4 treatment levels. The variables observed in this study consisted of the number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), fresh weight of upper plants (g), dry weight of upper plants (g), age of flower appearance (hst), crop diameter (g) and crop weight (g). The results showed that there was a different response between the two varieties and the combination of goat manure + bioboost + dolomite on the growth and yield of cauliflower, The Larissa variety showed better growth and yield when compared to the Snow white variety and the combination of goat manure 10 tons/ha + bioboost 15 ml/l + dolomite 2 tons/ha can increase the growth and yield of cauliflower better than other ts combinations on tidal acid sulphate soil with soil  saturated culture system.

Abstract

            The use of manure and lime in cultivation of cauliflower plants on acid sulfate alluvial soil can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil so that it can increase the growth and yield of cauliflower. The aim of this research is to determine the best combination of manure and lime for the growth and yield of two cauliflower varieties planted on tidal land with a saturated soil culture system. The research location is located at Golden River Camp, Jalan Kalimas Tengah, Kalimas Village, Sui. Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The research period was from July to November, 2023. The research design used Split Block with two treatment factors and was repeated in 3 times. The first factor consists of 2 levels, namely the Larissa and Snow White varieties. The second factor was a combination of manure and lime treatment, consisting of 4 levels, namely chicken manure; goat manure; chicken manure + lime; and goat manure + lime. The variables observed were number of leaves, fresh weight, dry weight, leaf area, flower emergence time, crop weight, and crop diameter. The research results showed that the Larissa variety with a combination of goat manure + lime showed better growth and yield than the Snow White variety. Key words: acid sulfate alluvial; cauliflower; lime; saturated soil culture system; tidal land INTISARIPenggunaan pupuk kandang dan kapur dalam budidaya tanaman kubis bunga pada tanah aluvial sulfat masam dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia, dan biologi tanah sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil kubis bunga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  kombinasi terbaik pupuk kandang dan kapur terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil dua varietas kubis bunga  yang ditanam di lahan pasang surut dengan sistem budidaya jenuh air. Lokasi penelitian terletak di Golden River Camp, Jalan Kalimas Tengah, Desa Kalimas, Kecamatan Sui.Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat. Waktu penelitian mulai bulan Juli hingga November 2023. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Split Block dengan dua faktor perlakuan dan diulang 3 kali. Faktor pertama terdiri dari 2 taraf, yaitu varietas Larissa dan Snow White. Faktor kedua perlakuan kombinasi pupuk kandang dan kapur, terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu pupuk kandang ayam;  pupuk kandang kambing; pupuk kandang ayam + kapur; dan pupuk kandang kambing + kapur.  Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah daun, berat segar, berat kering, luas daun, saat munculnya bunga, berat krop, dan diameter krop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas Larissa dengan kombinasi pupuk kandang kambing + kapur menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang lebih baik dibanding varietas Snow White. Kata kunci: alluvial sulfat masam, budidaya jenuh air, kapur, kubis bunga, lahan pasang surut
