Gagasan perawatan dalam desain dan arsitektur melekat pada karya perempuan desainer se- bagai bentuk kebertubuhan perempuan yang berhubungan dengan konteks sosial. Demikianlah peran perempuan dalam tatanan sosial yang sering diasosiasikan dengan perawatan dan peng- asuhan seperti layaknya alam telah menggemakan dualisme gender, yang turut mempengaruhi perbedaan karakteristik desain yang diciptakan oleh keduanya. Beberapa penelitian sebelum- nya telah mengeksplorasi gagasan desain perawatan, terutama dalam arsitektur, mencakup eksplorasi material alami yang dapat menyampaikan identitas budaya, pengalaman multisen- sorik, dan arsitektur afektif. Namun, studi mengenai karya perempuan desainer, khususnya dalam arsitektur yang merangkul konsep â€˜desain perawatanâ€™, dan berfokus pada kebertubuhan masih kurang dieksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami gagasan perawatan se- bagai bentuk kebertubuhan perempuan desainer yang terefleksikan dalam karyanya, dengan studi kasus desain arsitektur Yayasan Kampung Halaman di Yogyakarta oleh Novi Kristinawa- ti. Melalui metode semiotika, khususnya analisis multimodal teks dari Gunther Kress dan Theo van Leeuwen, makna perawatan diungkapkan melalui penelusuran tiga metafungsi: makna representasi, makna interaktif, dan makna komposisi yang muncul dari mode-mode sebagai sumber semiotika. Temuan studi ini memperlihatkan bahwa Novi Kristinawati merefleksikan kebertubuhannya dalam desain Yayasan Kampung Halaman. Gagasan perawatan sebagai bentuk kebertubuhan perempuan antara lain: muncul dalam simbol arketipe ibu; desain yang memberikan pengalaman multisensori dengan mengaburkan batas antara eksterior alam dan interior; desain yang fleksibel dan mengalir yang memenuhi nilai guna serta dapat memfasil- itasi jarak sosial pengguna desain; mengutamakan kesetaraan dan pengakuan kedua gender dalam desain tanpa sekat; serta desain yang mampu mendengarkan kebutuhan pemesan de- sain. Penelitian ini adalah upaya untuk memahami desain dalam kerangka kebertubuhan per- empuan dan kontribusinya dalam wacana pengetahuan desain. Art film is a film full of symbols. The film Setan Jawa by Garin Nugroho (2016) brings the concept of a silent film and the cinematic-orchestral collaboration with various standards across arts, while also adapts some cultural narratives in the Javanese context. This film presents Drupadi narrative, one of the Javanese Wayang cultural narratives. Drupadi is often referred to as a symbol of women’s loyalty and obedience to the universal law, through her obedience to her husband and mother, although this obedience is contrary to the self (I) concept. With the help of textual analysis, this article aims to identify the adaptation of Drupadi’s cultural narrative that is creatively transposed in the film Setan Jawa. The results show that there is a director’s personal code (idiolect) in the film, that offers women’ representation different from the conventions in the Javanese culture. While the conclusion might be arguable, one can reflect on the symbolic act of women’s representation being creatively transposed not as subordinate but as having the power to fulfill their own destiny.

The increasing number of foreign tourist visits to Komodo National Park requires naturalist guides to have good communication skills in foreign languages, especially in English. Therefore, the Media Literacy and Visual Culture Expertise Group held English communication skills training for naturalist guides in Pasir Panjang Village, Komodo Islands. This training uses lecture, discussion, and direct practice methods of speaking English that are tailored to the needs of tour guides. The materials presented include how to communicate effectively with foreign tourists using English and the skills of promoting tourist destinations on social media. The evaluation results of this training showed that most tour guides in Pasir Panjang Village (96.2%) considered the materials presented to improve their knowledge and communication skills in English and all participants (100%) considered the materials presented interesting. Jakarta is the center of business and government in Indonesian Republic that have population density about 15.000 citizen per kilometer. Jakarta have many major problem like different political view, high population density, traffic jam, increase of waste product, air population, etc. “Surat Untuk Jakarta” Animation short is about condition in Jakarta from day to night. For about two minutes, the winner of the Best Animation Category in Festival Film Indonesia show us about the architecture in Jakarta in exquisites 2D animation media. Despite of the success for gaining many award like “Best Picture Hellofest 2016”, this film just show the sequence of Jakarta. We can see the iconic building like Monumen National, Dirgantara Statue, Istiqlal Mosque, etc. But the problem is, there is no narrator that tell us what’s going on there. The shot change to another shot, but just segmented people that know the meaning and message of this film. This research purpose is to analyze the meaning and message of “Surat Untuk Jakarta” with semiotic metodolgy. The conclusion of this research is with visual element that have no narrator makes the meaning and the responds to target audience ineffective. The conclusion we have is this film is about the complexity of Jakarta, there are too many social gap in Jakarta, and we still need more pluralism in this city.

Makalah ini adalah deskripsi dan analisis dari "sejarah pembentukan" sebuah karya desain, sumber kemunculannya, pesan yang terkandung di dalamnya, dan bagaimana hal tersebut berkomunikasi dengan publik sehingga membentuk makna dan nilai di dalamnya. Walaupun penjelasannya cenderung teoritis, analisis dari sebuah karya desain diberikan sebagai contoh. Dalam makalah ini desain disimpulkan sebagai "entitas" yang kompleks, sebagai super struktur dan basis; struktur permukaan dan struktur dalam, felksibel sebagai disiplin, jaringan, dan berdiri sendiri secara tepat justru karena integrasi dengan berbagai disiplin ilmu. Dalam kompleksitas tersebut, sirkulasi pesan (makna) dan nilai-nilai desain terjadi pada masyarakat di mana mereka hidup dan berkembang.

Ambient media advertising has evolved significantly from its traditional, physically focused origins, yet a comprehensive theoretical framework that integrates digital capabilities remains absent. This article addresses this gap by examining the evolution of ambient media advertising, synthesizing classical theory with digital advertising principles to propose a new conceptual framework. Through a theoretical synthesis approach, this study redefines ambient media advertising in the digital age as a marketing communication strategy that synergistically leverages physical and digital spaces to create unexpected, personalized, interactive, and contextual advertising experiences, powered by data- and sensor technology. The proposed Digital Integrated Ambient Media (DIAM) model comprises five key elements: Contextual Immersion, Personal Relevance, Interactivity, Surprise Effects, and a Data-Driven Feedback Cycle. The findings offer a robust theoretical foundation for future empirical research and provide practical guidance for designing integrated, experience-based advertising campaigns. The key implications of this study are the expansion of ambient media's conceptual boundaries and the provision of a testable framework for hybrid advertising strategies in contemporary marketing.

Semiotic Design Study Of Sain Mandra's Live Stream. Since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the phenomenon of Mobile Legends game live streaming has become a captivating topic of discussion. However, many streamers still neglect the visual aspects that their audience will view during live streams. This research highlights the importance of attention to visual structure from the beginning to the end of a live stream. The primary goal of this study is to explain the levels of denotative and connotative signs in the visual structure of Sain Mandra's live stream design, which influence the visual form of a live stream, and to identify the interrelated visual signs that build the message and meaning of a live stream. By utilizing Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, this research aims to uncover the meanings and signs present in the context of live streaming. The implications of the live stream design discussed in this study reveal the emergence of a myth that portrays the ideology that live streaming can contribute to education. The results of this research present the signs and meanings of Sain Mandra's visual live stream, which play a role in shaping an ideology that can benefit both streamers and their audience.

Design Assessment Study On Granting Exclusive Rights. This research aims to evaluate designs in the context of granting exclusive rights. Granting exclusive rights is an important mechanism for protecting innovation and creative work, which requires careful and standardized design assessment. This assessment analyzes the various criteria and assessments used by the relevant authorities, as well as the challenges and problems faced in the process. A qualitative approach was used to collect data through literature reviews, interviews with design examiners. This research recommends increasing assessment capacity and developing more comprehensive assessment guidelines to improve the quality and consistency of design assessment in the granting of exclusive rights. Thus, it is hoped that the industrial design protection system can more effectively support innovation and development of creative industries.

Artikel ini berisi kajian tentang sastra Indonesia modern dalam kaitannya dengan kehidupan manusia urban. Beberapa hal penting yang menjadi ruang lingkup kajian adalah karakteristik manusia urban, representasinya dalam karya sastra Indonesia modern, dan posisi sastra urban dalam sejarah sastra Indonesia. Melalui kajian ini, ditemukan fakta bahwa di dalam karya sastra Indonesia modern, sosok manusia urban bukan tema yang hanya mencuat dalam karya termutakhir. Namun, dengan karakteristiknya yang berbeda-beda dari setiap zaman, permasalahan manusia urban telah muncul sejak sastra Indonesia modern itu lahir.
