Abstract

Anaerobic threshold is the level of oxygen consumption where lactate concentration in blood increasing rapidly and systemic. One of exercises which increase anaerobic threshold is high intensity interval training (HIIT), with training load over anaerobic threshold in a short time and interspersed with active recovery. Another form is steady state training (SST), with training load approaching anaerobic threshold constantly. The purpose of this study to determine differences in the effectiveness of HIIT and SST among students member of short distance running athletic extracurricular groups in Denpasar. This study is pre test and post test experimental group design for 6 weeks and three times a week. Samples included 24 people divided into 2 groups. Group 1 HIIT with the training load of 95% maximum heart rate and Group 2 SST with the training load 80% of maximum heart rate. Measurement of anaerobic threshold by determining Heart Rate Deflection Point (HRDP) according to the Conconi track protocol. The results of the study in both groups obtained subjects 12-16 years old, male, body weight 50-65 kg, height 160-178 cm, and IMT from 16.33 to 22.27 kg / m2. Mean of anaerobic threshold before HIIT training 178.17 ± 2.368 x/minute, while after HIIT increased to 197.83 ± 3.460 x/minute. Mean of anaerobic threshold before SST 177.17 ± 1.586 x/minute, while after SST increased to 185.25 ± 1.288 x/minute. Test of different mean of anaerobic threshold pretest within Group 1 and Group 2 showed that p=0,237 (p>0,05). Test of different mean of increasing anaerobic threshold before and after training in Group 1 and Group 2 using Independent t-Test data test post two groups showed that p = 0.01 (p <0.05). Its concluded HIIT increase anaerobic threshold more than SST among students member of short distance running athletic extracurricular groups in Denpasar. Suggestions for this study are expected coaches able to provide proper training and monitoring methods HRDP evaluation in improving the achievement of athletes.

Abstract

Prediabetic is a situation where the person’s blood sugar level is above normal but has not fully categorized as Diabetes Mellitus. The decrease of blood sugar level in prediabetes patients can be done in various methods, such as Aerobic Exercise and Resistance Exercise. This study aims to investigate the difference of the decrease blood sugar level through Aerobic Exercise and Resistance Exercise in prediabetes patients. Experimental with pre test and post test two group design is used in this study. It was conducted in Tonja sub-distict, North Denpasar in January until March 2020. The research sample is 24 people, where 21 is woman and 3 man which are randomly divided into 2 experimental groups. Experimental Group I was given Aerobic Exercise and experimental group II was given Resistance Exercise. Glucometer is used as a measurement tool in this study. Based on the result of paired t-test, there is a decrease in blood sugar level in Experimental Group I, which the average before intervention is 146,58±21,33mg/dL into 126,42±21,03mg/dL after intervention and obtained p=0,001(<0,05). In Experimental Group II, the blood sugar level is decreased, where the average before intervention is 142,33±16,71mg/dL and after intervention is 121,83±20,83mg/dL and p=0,001(<0,05). There is no significant difference in the decrease of blood sugar level between two groups with p=0,948(>0,05). The conclusion is both Aerobic Exercise and Resistance Exercise have a good effect in decreasing blood sugar level. Keywords: Aerobic Exercise; Resistance Exercise; Prediabetes; Blood Sugar

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Aktifitas yang dilakukan seseorang dalam kesehariannya tidak lepas dari aktifitas multitasking dimana pada aktifitas tersebut minimal seseorang harus mampu melakukan dua aktifitas sekaligus (dualtask), lansia dengan gangguan kognitif atau tidak mampu melakukan aktifitas ganda atau dualtask mempunyai resiko jatuh yang tinggi. Salah satu tindakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan dualtask pada lansia adalah dengan latihan Tai Chi. Tai Chi dan Ai Chi merupakan dua metode latihan yang terbukti mampu meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia dimana mengurangi resiko jatuh salah satunya. Tujuan penelitian untuk membuktikan apakah ada perbedaan pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi dalam meningkatkan performa dual task pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian dilakukan selama 6 minggu di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Mataram Lombok dimana sampel penelitian adalah pasien poliklinik fisioterapi yang berusia 60-80 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan two group pre and post test design dengan jumlah sampel 34 orang yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu Kelompok Ai Chi (n = 17) dan Kelompok Tai Chi (n =17). Performa dual task diukur menggunakan time up and go test (TUG) dual task. Hasil: Nilai performa dualtask pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi meningkat bermakna dengan nilai p<0,05. Nilai performa dual task setelah pelatihan Tai Chi dan pelatihan Ai Chi tidak berbeda bermakna dengan nilai performa dual task p>0,05. Simpulan: Pelatihan Tai Chi dan Pelatihan Ai Chi mempunyai efek yang sama dalam meningkatkan performa dual task pada lansia.

Abstract

Atlet bola tangan putra Kota Surabaya memiliki daya tahan yang rendah. Hal ini mengakibatkan nilai VO2max dan lactate threshold yang rendah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kualitas permainan dan prestasi tim, keadaan ini memerlukan intervensi latihan fisik yang tepat. High intensity interval training (HIIT) merupakan latihan dengan waktu singkat menggunakan intensitas tinggi yang diselingi pemulihan aktif. Fartlek training adalah latihan dengan waktu yang konstan dengan beban mendekati batas kelelahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan HIIT lebih baik daripada fartlek training dalam meningkatkan VO2max dan lactate threshold. Jenis penelitian true experimental dengan rancangan pretest and posttest two group desain. Subjek adalah atlet bola tangan Kota Surabaya sebanyak 22 orang yang dibagi dengan diberikan HIIT untuk Kelompok I lalu fartlek training pada Kelompok II, periode latihan 3 kali dalam seminggu selama 6 minggu latihan. VO2max diukur dengan Cooper VO2max Test dan lactate threshold menggunakan Heart Deflection Point. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rerata VO2max sebelum HIIT 42,38±1,07 ml/kg/menit, sesudah HIIT 45,86±1,10 ml/kg/menit. Rerata VO2max sebelum fartlek 42,33±1,04 ml/kg/menit, sesudah fartlek 44,27±1,66 ml/kg/menit. Rerata lactate threshold sebelum HIIT 176,61±0,99 x/menit, sesudah HIIT 194,69±1,11 x/menit. Rerata lactate threshold sebelum fartlek 176,92±1,08 x/menit, sesudah fartlek menjadi 187,43±1,59 x/menit. Uji beda peningkatan VO2max dan lactate threshold pada Kelompok I dan Kelompok II dengan independent t-test. Hasil menunjukan bahwa ke dua Kelompok p=0,000 (p<0,05). Disimpulkan dua Kelompok ini sama-sama memberi efek peningkatan (p<0,05) dan Kelompok I lebih meningkatkan VO2max dan lactate threshold daripada Kelompok II. Saran untuk pelatih agar melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi serta memberikan pelatihan yang benar agar dapat meningkatkan performa dan peningkatan prestasi atlet.

Abstract

Introduction: Obesity is a pathological condition under which extra fat is accumulated from the body's required needs. Complications such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, fatty liver disease and psychosocial problems can occur in a person who is overweight and obese in adolescence. Sleep quality represents satisfaction with the sleep experience by integrating sleep initiation aspect, managing sleep time, meeting sleep needs, and feeling refreshed when waking up. One of the factors that can lead to overweight and obesity is poor sleep quality. This research attempts to establish the association between sleep quality and body mass index in adolescents in Denpasar. Methods: This research was a cross-sectional analytical study using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire to determine the quality of sleep and measurement of the body mass index of 280 high school students in Denpasar. Results: Somers’D correlation test results showed no relationship (p = 0.108) between sleep quality and body mass index in adolescents. Conclusions: There is no correlation between sleep quality and body mass index in adolescents in Denpasar. Further studies are needed related to other factors that affect an adolescent's body mass index.

Abstract

Background: Chess is one of games played by two people opposite by moving chessman on chessboard. Chess players should have theory, experience, instructor of chess and maximal physic so can achieve optimal and improve elo rating. Purpose: This research aims to know is: training addition aerobic run, back-up, sit-up on skill training is better to improve elo rating compared to skill training only to chess co-curricular students. Methods: The experimental research is disigned to use the randomized pretes post test control group design. Research sample are chess co-curricular students SMP Negeri 4 Denpasar 32 people. Sample tobe 2 groups, group I is given training airobic run back-up, sit-up, and skill for 6 weeks with training frequency 3 times a week, and group II is given skill training only for 6 weeks with training frequency 3 times a week. Before and after 6 weeks training, all sample follows Switzerland rapid chess championship 5 rounds. Results: Average rate elo rating of 2 groups is analysis. Based on analysis result, is known that average rate elo rating group I before 1198,75 and after training 1235,75, differently in meaning (p < 0,05). Rate of elo rating group II before 1198,75 and after training 1162,88, differently in meaning (p < 0,05). Average elo rating of 2 groups, differently in meaning (p < 0,05). It means training addition aerobic run, back-up, sit-up has improve elo rating. Conclusion: Conclusion is that training addition aerobic run, back-up, sit-up on skill training is better in improving elo rating than skill training on chess co-curricular student.

Abstract

Type of 80 meters ran is one of the numbers on athletics competed in early age of child. In early age, the physical condition and mind can still be developed continuously and systematically. The exercise in early age should be an element of play and competition, thus this exercise is attempted to develop the speed by two types of exercise: back to back relay run of 20 meters six reps four sets and back to back relay run of 30 meters four reps four sets. The aim of research is to know the increasing of 80 meters speed of run. The exercise was conducted for six weeks with a frequency of three times a week with the aim to increasing the speed. The numbered of sample was 24 people selected randomly from junior high school students of Dharma Praja Badung that meets the requirements of inclusion and exclusion. The numbered of each group consists of twelve people. Each group was given a different treatment i.e. group I was treated by back to back relay run of 20 meters six reps and four sets and group II treated by back to back relay run of 30 meters four reps four sets. Data derived from the duration time of 80 meters ran before and after exercise, with t paired test to determine the difference average speed of duration time before and after exercise in each group. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Overweight di kalangan mahasiswi masih banyak dijumpai, yang harus segera diatasi agar tidak menyebabkan berbagai penyakit dikemudian hari. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk membuktikan pemberian latihan interval intensitas tinggi lebih efektif daripada latihan kontinu intensitas sedang dalam menurunkan persentase lemak tubuh. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan randomized pre-test dan post-test control group design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 20 mahasiswi overweight, dan terbagi ke dalam 2 kelompok. Kelompok 1 sebagai kelompok pelatihan interval intensitas tinggi, sedangkan Kelompok 2 sebagai kelompok pelatihan kontinu intensitas sedang. Persentase lemak tubuh diukur menggunakan Handheld BIA. Hasil Penelitian: Berdasarkan hasil uji Independent sample t-test menunjukkan rerata persentase lemak tubuh setelah pelatihan antar kelompok dengan beda rerata penurunan lemak tubuh sebesar 5,65±0,81% pada Kelompok 1 dan 3,33±0,59% pada Kelompok 2 serta diperoleh nilai p=0,002 (p<0,05). Simpulan: Pelatihan interval intensitas tinggi lebih efektif daripada pelatihan kontinu intesitas sedang dalam menurunkan persentase lemak tubuh pada mahasiswi dengan overweight di Program Studi Fisioterapi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana.

Abstract

The Body Balance of students of the Faculty of Sport Education and Health PGRI Bali tend to decrease. This is supported by preliminary data from the body balance, that the students are in the norm level of balance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of walking training on a straight beam 8 m x 10 cm x 30 cm 4 sets of 5 reps increasing student body balance Faculty of Sport Education and Healt Students IKIP PGRI Bali and to investigate the training walk on a straight beam 8 m x 10 cm x 30 cm 4 sets of 5 reps improve body balance is bigger than 4 repetitions 5 sets of students of Faculty of Sport Educatoin and Healt Student IKIP PGRI Bali. This study used a pretest-posttest randomized control group design. A total of 22 students aged 18-23 years were selected as members of the sample were divided into 2 groups. Group I was given a training walk on a straight beam as far as 8 feet 5 repetitions 4 sets and a Group II are trained to walk on a straight block as far as 8 feets 4 repetitions 5 sets. Training was given 4 times a week for 6 weeks. Balancing is measured before and after training use stork balance test. T-test Paired is used to determine the balance mean difference in the balance of each group before and after treatment with a significance level of 0,05, t-independent test to determine the increasing of the body balance. The results showed an increase in of body balance of the group I and group II. The results of test paired in group I the first data is 20,02±2,52 seconds increased 40,10±3,80 seconds in group II the first data is 21,47±5,08 seconds increased 34,59±5,47 seconds by significance level of 0,05 is significantly different. Test Paired results indicate a difference of the intreasing of balance of the group I and group II. Independent test results in group I was 20,08 seconds 50,07% and in group II was 13,12 seconds 37,93%. Based on these results we can conclude that training walk on a straight block as far as 8 meters 5 repetitions 4 sets is more increase balancing walking on the straight block as far as 8 meters 4 repetitions 5 sets.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Kelincahan suatu kemampuan mengubah posisi dan arah tubuh secara cepat pada saat bergerak dengan kondisi tubuh tetap seimbang. Kelincahan sangat penting bagi pemain sepak bola agar dapat menerobos dan menghindari hadangan lawan serta mengurangi resiko cedera. Pelatihan kelincahan sangat sesuai diberikan bagi pemain sepak bola usia 10-12 tahun yakni dengan pelatihan shuttle run yang dikombinasikan dengan pelatihan stabilisasi, baik berupa core stability maupun glutes control.Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui apakah kombinasi shuttle run dan core stability sama baik dengan kombinasi shuttle run dan glutes control dalam meningkatkan kelincahan pemain sepak bola di SSB Bali United. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental, menggunakan rancangan pre and post test group design. Sampel penelitian 22 orang dan di bagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok I mendapat kombinasi shuttle run dan core stability, sedangkan Kelompok II mendapat kombinasi shuttle run dan glutes control. Frekuensi latihan dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama 6 minggu. Pengukuran kelincahan menggunakan Illinois agility run test. Kelincahan dikatakan meningkat apabila nilai setelah lebih pendek dari nilai sebelum pelatihan. Hasil Penelitian: Didapatkan Kelompok I mengalami peningkatan kelincahan dengan nilai signifikan p = 0,01dari nilai kelincahan 19,87±0,94 detik menjadi 15,49±0,78 detik. Demikian juga pada Kelompok II mengalami peningkatan kelincahan dengan nilai signifikan p = 0,01 dari nilai kelincahan 19,50±0,86 detik menjadi 15,70±0,75 detik. Dari hasil independent t-test tidak didapatkan perbedaan dengan nilai sebelum p = 0,358 dan sesudah p = 0,531. Simpulan : Kombinasi shuttle run dan core stability sama baik dengan kombinasi shuttle run dan glutes control dalam meningkatkan kelincahan pemain sepak bola di SSB Bali United.
