Abstract

Menulis merupakan kegiatan seseorang yang mengekspresikan gagasan dan/atau pemikirannya secara tertulis. Berdasarkan analisis awal pada September 2018 terhadap mahasiswa program studi pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Semester 5 dan 7 di STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yang terekam, antara lain: (1) Wawasan peserta tentang metodologi penelitian masih kurang; (2) Penguasaan teori-teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian sangat minim; (3) Kemampuan mereka dalam mengakses informasi karya ilmiah yang bersumber dari internet masih minim. (4) Kaidah ilmiah yang digunakan dalam menulis masih rendah; (6) masih banyak ditemukan copy paste. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah bagi mahasiswa. Target luaran dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman mahasiswa tentang jenis-jenis karya ilmiah kaidah menulis karya ilmiah, dan menulis artikel secara profesional sesuai dengan pedoman artikel publikasi dalam jurnal. Luaran dari program pendampingan ini adalah artikel ilmiah yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa dapat diajukan untuk dipublikasikan pada jurnal kampus ataupun jurnal lainnya. Khalayak sasaran dari program pendampingan ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 30 orang Mahasiswa yang berasal dari semester 5 dan 7. Metode kegiatan yang dilaksanakan guna menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra adalah dengan Pendekatan individual digunakan pada saat peserta pendampingan menulis artikel ilmiah yakni dengan metode workshop dan clinic. Pelaksanaan IbM untuk mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang dapat disimpulkan berhasil sampai tahap pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah. Keberhasilan ini ditunjukkan oleh adanya respon yang positif dari peserta mengingat kegiatan pengabdian merupakan kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam rangka peningkatan kemampuan ilmiahnya. Keberhasilan ini juga ditunjukkan dengan dihasilkannya 10 naskah artikel yang sudah disesuaikan dengan template jurnal.

Abstract

Program pengabdian yang dilaksanakan pada TK-TPA al-Qur’an At-Taqwa Kelurahan Kambiolangi Kecamatan Alla bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi jumlah santri di kelurahan Kambiolangi kecamatan Alla Kabupaten Enrekang. (2) Mengetahui efektifitas metode IQRO dalam memberantas buta aksara Al-Qur’an pada santri TK-TPA At-Taqa di kelurahan Kambiolangi kecamatan Alla Kabupaten Enrekang. (3) Sebagai wujud kepedulian tim pengabdi sebagai masyarakat dan dosen dalam melaksanakan Tridharma perguruan tinggi yaitu pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pendekatan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan PKM ini adalah pendekatan langsung, yaitu langsung dibaca tanpa dieja, langsung berhadapan atau tatap meliputi Pembelajaran aktif; Sistematis; Tematis, Fleksibel, Asistensi, Bimbingan kerohanian, Bimbingan keterampilan. Dari hasil pengabdian dan pembahasan, diperoleh simpulan bahwa (1) Masih tingginya jumlah angka buta aksara Al-Qur’an pada anak-anak di kelurahan kambiolangi kecamatan Alla Kabupaten Enrekang. (2) Faktor penyebab dari tingginya jumlah angka buta aksara pada anak-anak tersebut adalah lebih kepada faktor intern atau pribadi saja yaitu kurangnya minat dan motivasi untuk terus belajar Al-Qur’an. (3) Metode IQRO merupakan metode yang dianggap efektif digunakan dalam rangka memberantas buta aksara Al-Qur’an pada anak-anak. Dalam PKM ini. Santri mampu menghafal surah pendek, praktek shalat, adzan, dan memberikan wawasan kepada santri agar dapat memahami pendidikan Islam secara baik.

Abstract

Dodol merupakan salah satu makanan khas atau makanan tradisional yang berasal dari Indonesia. Dodol adalah makanan yang terbuat dari tepung beras ketan hitam dan ditambahkan bahan lainnya seperti gula merah, santan. Metode pembuatan dodol masih menggunakan cara tradisional untuk mengahasilkan aroma dan rasa yang lezat. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pembuatan Dodol tersebut yakni menunjang daya tahan tubuh, makanan yang tepat untuk individu yang sedang diet dan sebagai makanan khas tradisional daerah Pasang di Kabupaten Enrekang.

Abstract

The manufacture of hand soap dispensers is aimed at all people in need in the village of Bambapuang, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency, to help the community implement healthy living, especially being aware of the importance of washing hands considering the conditions during the covid 19 pandemic. We make innovations in utilizing household waste, such as using used bottles to become hand soap dispensers by attaching pamphlets to socialize the importance of washing hands.

Abstract

Objective: Assessment is an important for learning and teaching and is an important component for further development if they use the right approach. This study focuses primarily on how formative assessment, as a type of favorable assessment, can be an effective contributor to increasing student motivation in learning English. Method: This study explores the results of formative assessments through questionnaires for 24 students and 5 for teachers, in the SMA 1 Alla-Enrekang, where English is taught as a foreign language. Result: It is assumed that formative assessment has a major influence on what students learn and how the teacher validates. Discussion: Formative assessment can help teachers anticipate initial concerns for student disparity in the development of learning. Therefore, this assessment method cannot accurately assess the frequency of student acquisition, because it varies from one teacher to another and subjects with other subjects.

Abstract

This research was intended to explain the students reading comprehension through material based stories at the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 1 Maiwa Kabupaten Enrekang in the 2017/2018 academic year. This research used a quasi-experimental method class. It had conducted into two groups namely the experimental group and control group. The Sample in this research were 44 students. The researcher took real data from class to know the students reading comprehension. The instrument of this research was pre-test-posttest with multiple choice, T/F and read test. From these findings, there was a significant effect on the students reading comprehension through material based stories. The data was analyzed by using a t-test and the result showed that the t-test value 4.629 was higher than the t-table value 2.021. It meant that there was a significant difference between students’ reading achievement before and after the treatment through the stories. It concluded that material based stories can be used in improving the reading comprehension of the students.

Abstract

This research aimed at verifying the effectiveness of using ELSA Speak Application in enhancing students’ pronunciation skills. It applied a quantitative method. Specifically, it used a pre-experimental research design. The population was the English study program students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang. The sample was the first semester students in the academic year 2018/ 2019. It was chosen through purposive sampling technique by considering that the sample took the pronunciation course at that time. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test which was conducted using the recording. The data attained were analyzed statistically. The result shows that the pre-test means the score is 1.96 while the post-test mean score is 5.79 by applying 0.05 level of significance with 29 degrees of freedom (29), the t-test 6.28 was higher than the t-table 1.699. It indicated that the use of ELSA Speak application is effective in enhancing the pronunciation skill of the first semester students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Enrekang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas E-learning berbantuan edmodo dan goggle classroom terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain true experimental tipe posttest only control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling, dengan masing-masing kelaas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket. Untuk mengukur keefektifan Edomodo dan goggle classroom dilakukan analisis uji t independent sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai sig < 0,05 (0,002 < 0,05) maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya platform edmodo dan google classroom berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hasil analisis uji N-gain menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan yakni nilai N-Gain kelas Eksperimen mempunyai nilai yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas control, dimana nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0,61 sedangkan nilai N-Gain kelas kontrol yaitu 0,52. Dengan demikian ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan e-learning berbantuan Edmodo dan Google classroom secara signifikan efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis.
