Abstract

The professionalism of the State Civil Apparatus (Aparatur Sipil Negara/ASN) constitutes a fundamental principle in the implementation of public services that prioritize societal interests. ASN are not merely responsible for executing government policies, but also serve as the frontline actors in delivering public services that are effective, efficient, transparent, and equitable. This article aims to examine the principle of ASN professionalism in public service delivery in Indonesia, as well as the factors influencing it within the framework of bureaucratic reform and increasingly complex public demands. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing national scientific journals, statutory regulations, and other relevant literature related to ASN professionalism and public service. The findings indicate that ASN professionalism is not an isolated concept, but is shaped by several key factors, including human resource competence, ethical conduct and integrity of civil servants, the utilization of information technology in public services, and the implementation of a merit-based system in ASN management. Adequate competence enables civil servants to perform their duties optimally, while service ethics play a crucial role in fostering public trust. Furthermore, the adoption of digital technology has proven effective in enhancing service efficiency and transparency, whereas the merit system promotes objectivity and fairness in career development. The implications of this study highlight the necessity of continuously strengthening ASN professionalism through capacity building, ethical development, and adaptive bureaucratic reforms in response to contemporary challenges. Therefore, ASN professionalism serves as a vital foundation for achieving high-quality public services oriented toward public satisfaction.

Abstract

Mathematical thinking ability is an essential component of physics learning because many physical phenomena are represented through mathematical models and systems of equations. However, students often have difficulty solving fixed-pulley system problems because they must simultaneously interpret physical concepts and solve systems of linear equations with multiple variables. This study aimed to analyze the application of the Gauss-Jordan elimination method in learning fixed pulley systems and to examine its effect on mathematical thinking ability, learning outcomes, and student responses. The study employed a quantitative approach with a posttest-only control-group quasi-experimental design. The participants comprised 130 respondents across two educational levels: 61 university students from the Physics Education Study Program at the University of Jember and 69 eleventh-grade students from SMAN 3 Jember. The experimental class was taught using the Gauss-Jordan elimination method, while the control class was taught using the substitution-elimination method. Data were collected through essay tests, learning outcome tests, and response questionnaires, and analyzed using the Independent Samples t-test and the Mann-Whitney U test, depending on the data distribution. The results showed that among school students, significant differences were found in the indicators of specializing (0.016), generalizing (0.001), and conjecturing (0.031), but not in convincing (0.468). Among university students, significant differences were found across all mathematical thinking indicators: specializing (0.007), generalizing (0.000), conjecturing (0.018), and convincing (0.004). Learning outcomes also differed significantly for both university students (0.000) and school students (0.010). In addition, student responses to the method's implementation were positive, averaging 71%. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the Gauss-Jordan elimination method as a structured mathematical procedure in solving fixed pulley system problems in physics learning across two educational levels. In conclusion, the Gauss-Jordan elimination method can serve as an alternative instructional strategy that supports mathematical thinking, improves learning outcomes, and strengthens the connection between physical concepts and mathematical representations, thereby contributing to more systematic and meaningful physics education.

Abstract

The aim is the expected value of helium ions to determine its properties as a heat transmitter to reactors and chirogenic science. This research is non-experimental research using quantum mechanics literature study methods because there are many previous studies that are relevant to this research. Data on the expected value of electron momentum in helium ions is determined based on numerical calculations using the Matlab 2015a program to simplify calculations using ion expectation calculations in momentum. The results obtained are that the electron momentum value in the helium ion can provide an overview of the average momentum value of the helium ion electrons in momentum space. This research data also shows that in momentum space the expected value of electron momentum decreases as the principal quantum number (n) increases. This can be seen when n=1,l =0 then 3p0 = 1.3146, and when n=3,l =0 then 3p0 = 0.5098.
