Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether empowerment can mediate the effects of servant leadership and perceived organization on employee loyalty. This study uses a quantitative approach that consists of two exogenous variables, such as servant leadership and perceived organization, one endogenous variable, namely employee loyalty, and one intervening variable, which is employee empowerment. The data used is primary data obtained directly from respondents, including as many as 143 members of the FPMPI Kopertais 4 association. The research instrument used a Likert scale of 1–5, while the data analysis used SEM diagram analysis, which was processed using Amos Structural Equation Modelling. The results of the study show that servant leadership, perceived organization, and empowerment have a significant effect on employee loyalty directly, while the indirect effect of servant leadership and perceived organization on employee loyalty through employee empowerment has a significant influence. These results indicate that empowerment is able to mediate exogenous and endogenous variables.

Abstract

In the business world, contracts have an important role in shaping the pattern of legal relations between the parties. Every business effort carried out by business actors is essentially a legal step, and this is in the realm of contract law. Business contracts are important instruments to secure the exchange of achievements and as evidence that there is a legal relationship between the parties in carrying out business transactions. Proportional distribution becomes the basis of thought in formulating contracts that are able to accommodate the interests of the parties. The principle of proportionality is a reflection of the Theory of Justice because the perspective of the contractual relationship of the parties combines the concept of equal rights in exchange (achievement-counter achievement) as it is understood that the concept of distributive justice in which it has the meaning of proportional distribution. Judges in resolving disputes using the principle of proportionality means to make reasonable and fair decisions based on the values of equality, freedom, and proportional distribution which cannot be separated from the existence of feasibility, propriety and the principle of accuracy.

Abstract

21st century skills are skills that must be possessed by students. Students' 21st century skills are still relatively low. Problem-based learning is a learning model that encourages students to improve 21st century skills. Problem based learning-STEM in the process of student learning activities has not run optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning-STEM model on students' 21st century skills. This research is a type of meta-analysis research. The data sources in this study came from 6 national and international journals published in 2015-2023. The process of searching for data sources through Google Scholar, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Wiley and Eric databases. The database for each study must meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The heterogeneity of the data taken was analyzed with the help of the Comprehensive Meta-analysis (CMA) version 3.0 application. Meta-analysis showed an effect size value of 1.45 with very high criteria. This finding shows that the Problem Based Learning-STEM model has a significant effect on students' 21st century skills. This model needs to be applied in every school so that students have 21st century skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM-based REACT model on students' critical thinking skills. This research is a meta-analysis study. This study collected previous meta-analysis studies related to the STEM-based REACT model that showed gaps in the current article. The data sources in the study came from 13 national and international journals published in 2018-2019. The process of searching for data sources through the google scholar database, Eric, Wiley, Taylor of Francis, ScienceDirect, ProQuest and Hindawi. Inclusion criteria are studies on the REACT model using experimental or quasi-experimental research methods and measurement of critical thinking skills to evaluate the effect of the REACT model. The results showed that the average effect size value (ES = 0.88) with high criteria. The findings show that the application of the STEM-based REACT model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the effect size in this study was influenced by the level of education, learning outcomes, and student competencies. The STEM-based REACT model has a positive impact on students in encouraging their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Indonesia adopted the UNICEF’s child-friendly school (CFS) model as the attempt protection and fulfillment of children’s rights in education. The top-down implementation of child-friendly schools and bureaucratic imperatives have made many schools not ready to implement the model so the child-friendly school program is still far from expectations and reality. Many interests in the implementation of child-friendly schools make students vulnerable to being the victims of education political policies. This article aims to explain school challenges in child-friendly school implementation. Qualitative method with case study approach used through observations, interviews, and focus group discussions at three senior high schools in Surakarta City, Indonesia. The results show that the challenges of implementing child-friendly schools lead to three things, namely mentoring and sustainability, technical implementation, and evaluation mechanism. The simultaneous CFS declarations have not been adapted to the readiness, willingness, and needs of each school. Fulfilling the challenges of implementation is able to make CFS not just a slogan but a school’s need to provide protection and fulfillment of children’s rights.
