Abstract

The need to find an effective method of instilling social values ​​in elementary schools, especially amidst the tendency of individualism. This study aims to evaluate the effect of implementing project-based learning using Talempong games on developing cooperation values ​​among elementary school students. The research method is a quasi-experiment with two groups: an experimental group that received project-based learning with Talempong and a control group that received conventional learning. The research sample consisted of 60 5th-grade students from two elementary schools. The instrument used was a validated questionnaire, and its reliability was measured. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in the cooperation value of students in the experimental group, from an average of 3.2 to 4.5, compared to the control group, which only increased from 3.1 to 3.3. This study concludes that implementing project-based learning with Talempong games effectively develops students' cooperation values, and it is recommended to be applied more widely in elementary schools. This research implies that project-based learning with Talempong games can develop students' cooperation values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya pemain Alat Musik Serunai (Sunai) di Sanggar Sirih Serumpun Kecamatan Air Dikit Desa Dusun Baru Kabupaten Mukomuko. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis teknik memainkan alat musik Serunai dan menganalisis sistem pewarisan alat musik serunai di Sanggar Sirih Serumpun Kecamatan Air Dikit Desa Dusun Baru Kabupaten Mukomuko. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitin kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti selndiri dan dibantu dengan alat tulis dan kamera. Data dikumpulkan melalui Studi pustaka, Observasi, Wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perpanjangan keikutsertaan, ketekunan pengamatan dan trigulasi. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik memainkan alat musik serunai (Sunai) dilakukan dengan 2 teknik, yaitu teknik penjarian dan teknik pernapasan. Pada teknik penjarian pemain dilatih untuk memposisikan jari-jari dengan tepat di setiap lubang serunai untuk menghasilkan enam variasi suara yang berbeda, yaitu suara tertinggi, suara tinggi, suara agak tinggi, suara sedang (sedikit lebih rendah), suara rendah, dan suara sangat rendah. Setiap variasi suara ini dicapai dengan mengubah posisi jari di lubang-lubang yang sesuai, serta mengatur tekanan udara yang dikeluarkan dari mulut pemain. Sedangkan pada teknik pernapasan memainkan sunai membutuhkan keahlian yang mendalam dan latihan yang berkelanjutan. Pemain sunai harus mampu mengatur pernapasan dengan sangat hati-hati, menghirup udara melalui hidung tanpa menghentikan suara, dan menggunakan alat bantu seperti depang untuk mengendalikan aliran udara. Maka, pemain dapat memastikan suara sunai tetap stabil, tidak terputus, dan memberikan efek yang diinginkan dalam setiap pertunjukan. Sistem pewarisan yang dilakukan Sanggar Sirih Serumpun adalah dengan menerapkan sistem pewarisan secara terbuka, yaitu dengan mengadopsi pola regenerasi modern, sanggar melakukan perekrutan anggota melalui publikasi dan pelatihan, termasuk dengan mengunjungi sekolah-sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran musik Saluang di SMP Sahara Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan instrumen pendukung seperti alat tulis dan kamera. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah mengumpulan data, mendeskripsikan data dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran musik Saluang di SMP Sahara Padang sudah sesuai dengan perencanaan yang ada dalam modul ajar, hanya pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum berjalan dengan baik dan optimal. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru kurang pandai dalam mengelola kelas seperti tidak memberikan umpan balik pertanyaan dan penguatan positif. sehingga berdampak pada capaian hasil belajar siswa yang sedikit menurun. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru hanya menggunakan metode ceramah dan membaca buku paket tanpa menjabarkan dan menjelaskan materi dalam penyampaian pembelajaran. Kurangnya keseriusan siswa dalam proses belajar dan masih banyak peserta didik yang belum bisa memainkan alat musik tradisional Bansi tersebut. Berdasarkan evaluasi masih banyak peserta didik yang belum belum bisa memainkan alat musik Bansi tersebut. Implementation of Traditional Music Learning (Saluang) at Sahara Padang Junior High School This research aims to describe the implementation process of Saluang music learning at Sahara Junior High School Padang. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and camera. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The steps of analyzing data are collecting data, describing data and concluding data. The results showed that the process of implementing Saluang music learning at SMP Sahara Padang was in accordance with the planning in the teaching module, only the implementation of learning had not gone well and optimally. In the implementation of learning, the teacher is not good at managing the class, such as not providing question feedback and positive reinforcement, which has an impact on the achievement of student learning outcomes which have decreased slightly. In the implementation of learning, the teacher only uses the lecture method and reads the package book without describing and explaining the material in the delivery of learning. The lack of seriousness of students in the learning process and there are still many students who cannot play the traditional Bansi musical instrument. Based on the evaluation, there are still many students who have not been able to play the Bansi musical instrument.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah implementasi pelatihan musik zapin tradisional dalam pengembangan keterampilan praktis di Sanggar Menjulang Budaya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian langkah-langkah pelatihan yang diterapkan oleh Sanggar Menjulang Budaya dengan tahapan pelatihan yang umumnya digunakan dalam proses pendidikan atau pelatihan musik secara umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif agar mendapatkan data yang valid dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan proses pelatihan zapin disanggar menjulang budaya, Penelitian kualitatif adalah penelitian yang tidak menggunakan model model matematika, statistik, atau komputer. Proses penelitian dimulai dengan menyusun asumsi dasar dan aturan berpikir yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan musik zapin di sanggar tersebut tidak sepenuhnya mengikuti langkah langkah pelatihan pada umumnya, akan tetapi tidak membuat menjadi tidak bagus, pelatihan musik zapin di sanggar tersebut dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu pengenalan tari zapin sebagai dasar, penguasaan teknik bermain alat musik tradisional seperti gambus dan marwas, serta pembelajaran pola ritme khas zapin. Pelatihan disampaikan secara informal dan fleksibel dengan suasana yang kondusif agar peserta dapat mengekspresikan diri secara optimal. Selain itu, pelatihan juga menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya dan membentuk karakter peserta, serta menjadi sarana untuk melahirkan generasi penerus seni zapin yang kompeten. Implementasi pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan musikal anggota dan memperkuat pelestarian budaya lokal.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of choir extracurricular activities at Adabiah Middle School in Padang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The object of the research is the implementation of choir extracurricular activities at Adabiah Middle School in Padang. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, clarifying data and concluding data. This research shows that the results of the extracurricular choir implementation at Adabiah Padang Middle School went quite well. This program is designed through structured stages, starting from providing information to students, registration, designing and determining the schedule, to selecting and presenting songs as well as grouping two types of high and low voices in the soprano and alto ranges. Each practice session includes teaching choral concepts, breathing techniques, voice production, and practice of the song "Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa." The evaluation showed that there were challenges in the distribution of sounds and vocal techniques, but overall this activity was successful in improving students' vocal skills, self-confidence and appreciation for the art of vocal music. This success is supported by effective collaboration between trainers and arts and culture teachers, ensuring smooth implementation and achieving satisfactory results based on harmonization, precision of tone and soulfulness of the song. The final results show that the choir extracurricular program at Adabiah Middle School in Padang has succeeded in achieving the expected goals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the early behavior shown by children in their childhood. Like, say dirty and theft. Parents' indifference about their child's behavior makes the child's character worse. Therefore, a solution is needed to foster character for children through positive habits that are able to build character gradually. From this, the role of educational institutions such as school is to foster student character through the school culture in it. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to describe the character values and school culture in implementing school culture in fostering student character at school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive type, where the researcher tries to describe in full the phenomena that occur systematically. The data collection method used by researchers is a structured interview method for students and unstructured for principals and classroom teachers. In addition to the interview method, the researcher also uses the method of observation and documentation in this study. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of school culture in fostering student character shows significant results. This can be seen from the daily behavior of students both at school and at home. The characters in question are religious, honest, disciplined, independent, love the homeland, and so on. Of course, this was achieved thanks to the support of various parties, especially parents.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of the students in class VIII-B at SMP Plus Taruna Andalan Pangkalan Kerinci in the Traditional Musical Instrument Classification subject through the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model supported by media box instrument. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research results show that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with a media box instrument can improve students' learning outcomes. In cycle I, 50% of students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) score, with an average class score of 74.68. This result shows a significant improvement compared to the learning outcomes before the action (pre-cycle), which only reached 25% of students achieving the KKM. This research concludes that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with the media box instrument is effective in enhancing student understanding and learning outcomes in the Traditional Musical Instrument Classification subject. This learning model encourages students to participate actively, improves learning motivation, and creates a fun and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to explain the steps or process of developing authentic assessment instruments that are relevant for use in music ensemble learning, (2) to reveal the validity and reliability of authentic assessment instrument models, (3) to evaluate the practicality of authentic assessment instrument models, and (4) to explain the effectiveness of authentic assessment instrument models in music ensemble learning. The method used was the R&D model with the ADDIE approach: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data processing was carried out using SPSS version 22. The research results showed that previously, teachers used conventional models. The validity test for authentic assessment instruments in music ensemble learning scored 89.3, the practicality test scored 87.4, and the effectiveness test scored 89.4. It indicates that the authentic assessment instrument model is suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of the solfegio method can improve the ability of student learning outcomes in aiming for tone in the practical learning course of major string instruments 2 of the Department of Sendratasik Music Education Study Program FBS UNP. The type of research is classroom action research (PTK) or classroom action research collaboratively using the Kemmis and Mctaggart cycle. The research subjects were students of the 2022 batch of major string instrument practice II (PIM 2) music education study program FBS UNP. The research procedure is planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Research instruments in the form of assessment test criteria sheets. Data collection techniques literature study, observation, practice assessment tests, documentation. Quantitative descriptive data analysis technique. The results showed: (1) the pre-cycle average score was 56.2 in the sufficient category (C) = incomplete (2) in cycle 1 was 67 in the sufficient category (B-) = incomplete, (3) in cycle 2 was 79.4 = complete. Students experienced an increase in cycle 1 of 10.8 and in cycle 2 of 12.4. The research was successful in cycle 2 meeting 2 and the results were significant. It can be concluded that the ability of students to aim for notes in playing string instruments has increased after taking action by applying the solfegio method. So the solfegio method can be applied in learning the practice of playing string instruments. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana manfaat penerapan metode solfegio pada pembelajaran praktek instrumen mayor gesek di Prodi Pendidikan Musik Departemen Sendratasik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Padang. Objek penelitian yaitu metode solfegio (sight reading dan ear training). Subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa instrumen mayor gesek 1 semester 2. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka. Data di diperoleh melalui (1.) observasi, (2.) wawancara, (3.) dokumentasi, dan (4) studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar mahasiswa instrumen mayor gesek tidak tepat dalam membidik nada. Metode solfegio (sight reading dan ear training) merupakan upaya membantu mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan musikalitas dan kemampuan bermain instrumen gesek sehingga dapat meminimalisir atau mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi saat memainkan instrumen gesek. Latihannya berupa membaca pola ritme dengan mengubah nilai not menjadi lebih sederhana, latihan mendengar dan memainkan interval nada 1, 2 atau lebih nada, latihan tangga nada, latihan membaca melodi pada lagu per birama. Proses latihan menggunakan tempo media bantu piano dan media audio visual sebagai pengiring. Latihan dilakukan secara rutin dan teratur menggunakan instrumen gesek. Maka dari itu metode solfegio dalam pembelajaran instrumen mayor gesek dapat memberikan manfaat yang baik dalam proses meningkatkan kualitas permainan mahasiswa baik dalam segi membaca pola ritme maupun mendengarkan nada.

Abstract

Permainan alat musik tradisional perlu diajarkan pada anak sejak dini. Penelitian sebelumnya menjelaskan bahwa bermain alat musik tradisional berupa dol dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan musikal anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan alat musik tradisional terhadap kecerdasan emosi pada anak usia TK. Eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest digunakan dalam studi ini. Indikator kecerdasan emosi anak usia TK terdiri atas Kesadaran Diri, Pengaturan Diri, Motivasi Diri, Empati, dan Keterampilan Sosial. Anak Usia TK kelas A (N = 23) sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara purposive sampling diajarkan bermain alat musik tradisional dengan lagu sederhana untuk diketahui stimulus emosi sosialnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t berpasangan dependen. Penampilan permainan alat musik tersebut direkam dan dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak lebih dapat bersosialisasi, bermain bersama dan saling menghargai temannya ketika bermain musik tradisional secara bersama. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa bermain alat musik tradisional memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosi anak-anak usia TK.
