Abstract

Nowadays, traditional folk songs and Pancasila are being forgotten among the younger generation. This is primarily due to   lack of initiatives reintroduce of it. Addressing this issue, Arduino-based Robot with RFID Utilization was developed as educational medium for traditional folk songs and Pancasila by playing traditional folk songs and Pancasila through RFID cards, which feature descriptions of traditional folk songs and Pancasila on the front of the cards, a unique educational experience is created. This is further enhanced by combining it with a board game where participants guess the titles of traditional folk songs or Pancasila. This robot functions by detecting and following objects in front of it using ultrasonic sensor. Equipped with servo motor for movement and capable of playing traditional folk songs and Pancasila through an RFID card, which is read by RFID module (RC522) in conjunction with DFPlayer Mini to produce sound from MP3 files. From the results of the RFID card reading test, which involved 30 cards,   average reading speed was 14.888 seconds, with   reading distance ranging from 0 to 3 cm. The object detection range was between 0 and 6 cm, with average travel speed of 0.481 cm/second. The conclusion drawn from this research is that designed robot performs well, as it can approach objects in front of it and read all compatible RFID cards to play   collection of 25 traditional folk songs and the 5 principles of Pancasila in the form of MP3 files.

Abstract

This research develops a monitoring system based on LoRa and IoT to detect ganoderma disease attacks on oil palm plants, aiming to detect ganoderma disease early. The method used involves the use of MQ-138 and TGS 2611 sensors to detect the level of volatile organic compounds gas emitted by palm trunks affected by ganoderma disease. The research results show that this system is capable of detecting ganoderma disease with a range of increased values on healthy palm plant samples: 0 - 5 values; moderate oil palm plants: 8 - 22 values; and on sick oil palm plants: 28 - 32 values. The system can also transmit data up to a range of 757.92 meters with an RSSI value of -105 dBm in conditions with minimal obstacles, and send and receive information from LoRa devices to Blynk IoT with an average time difference of 0.695 seconds for LoRa devices and 0.701 seconds for Blynk IoT.

Abstract

The implementation of the Tracer Study at Tanjungpura University has been carried out since 2011 and became an electronic or online system in 2015. The system and design of the online tracer study at Tanjungpura University experienced dynamics that were adjusted to internal and external factors from 2015 to 2022. The influencing factors included changes in the mandate Dikti/Belmawa, resources, and the development of tracer study instruments. These factors cause several obstacles and challenges in creating an efficient Tracer Study system and desain. The purpose of As discussion is to review an overview of the development of the Tracer Study system and design at the Tanjungpura University to create a more efficient Tracer Study system. The research method is carried out by identifying a system model developed from 2015 to 2022 with the Borg and Gall models. The search results show that there have been system and design changes four times from 2015 to 2022. Furthermore, some systems and designs are less efficient in implementing the tracer study from 2015 to 2019 by making an online surveyor input system to reduce the tracer study's essence and function. However, in 2020, the online filling process has all been directed by alumni to fill in directly.

Abstract

Pencemaran udara cukup sering terjadi di wilayah rural yang salah satu penyebabnya adalah kebakaran pada lahan dengan karakteristik gambut. Hal ini menjadikan daerah rural tidak bisa diabaikan dalam pemantauan kualitas udara, tetapi pengoperasian Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS) pada daerah rural sulit untuk dilakukan karena jarangnya tersedia jaringan internet. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat sistem monitoring kualitas udara yang dapat menampilkan data secara real time pada wilayah yang tidak tersedia jaringan internet dengan menggunakan teknologi Long Range (LoRa). Sistem ini dirancang menjadi 2 (dua) bagian yaitu transmitter yang mengukur kelembaban, suhu, CO, O3, CO2, dan PM10 serta receiver yang menerima data dari transmitter melalui LoRa untuk diteruskan dan ditampikan secara real time pada Blynk Apps dan website ANTARES. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan jarak komunikasi antar LoRa dapat lebih dari 1000 meter dengan kondisi minim obstacle. Hasil pengukuran monitoring kualitas udara berbasis teknologi internet of things memiliki kemampuan pembacaan variabel kualitas udara yang sangat baik dengan nilai persentase error yang kecil yaitu pada gas karbon dioksida sebesar 2,26%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sistem monitoring kualitas udara dapat beroperasi dengan baik.

Abstract

Double inverted pendulum adalah sistem yang nonlinear, tidak stabil dan reaksi sistem yang cepat. Sistem ini merupakan suatu modifikasi dari pendulum terbalik, yaitu dengan menambahkan satu batang pendulum lagi yang disambungkan di ujung batang pendulum sebelumnya. Berdasarkan tinjauan, banyak dari peneliti yang menggunakan Lagrange untuk model dinamis dari sistem. Pada jurnal ini juga menampilkan pembelajaran dari sistem dengan menggunakan metode Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). Persamaan Lagrange dapat diperoleh dengan meninjau energi kinetik dan energi potensial partikel tanpa perlu meninjau gaya yang beraksi pada partikel. Persamaan dinamis nonlinear dari sistem diperoleh menggunakan persamaan Lagrange.

Abstract

Mobil merupakan suatu alat transportasi yang menunjang aktivitas manusia. Dalam penggunaannya, setiap mobil pasti membutuhkan suspensi. Terdapat beberapa model sistem suspensi yang digunakan pada mobil. Sistem suspensi pada mobil yang baik adalah sistem suspensi yang mampu memberikan kenyaman untuk penumpang selama berkendara. Agar sistem suspensi dapat memberikan kenyamanan untuk penumpang, digunakanlah sistem kendali pada suspensi tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengamati respon defleksi suspensi mobil yang terjadi pada gangguan jalan dengan menggunakan sinyal step dan menggunakan kendali logika fuzzy. Model suspensi mobil yang dianalisis menggunakan model seperempat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pada kendali logika fuzzy didapatkan respon defleksi mobil yang baik adalah dengan menggunakan 49 rule, dengan nilai waktu tunda 0,11 detik, waktu naik 0,228 detik, waktu puncak 3,478 detik, waktu keadaan tunak 0,4197 detik, dan overshoot 0,233%. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut, hasil pengujian pada kendali tersebut, respon defleksi mobil relatif baik.

Abstract

Boiler adalah mesin yang berfungsi untuk mengkonversi air menjadi uap dengan cara dipanaskan. Satu diantara faktor yang mempengaruhi lifetime boiler adalah air umpan. Air umpan boiler yang digunakan harus dapat dipastikan memenuhi persyaratan sebagai sumber uap dan dapat menghindari terjadinya korosi pada pipa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat monitoring kualitas air di pabrik kelapa sawit berdasarkan indikator Dissolved Oxygen (DO) yakni maksimal 4 mg/L, pH antara 7,5 hingga 9,5 dan TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) maksimal 70 ppm. Penelitian ini menerapkan sistem Internet of Things (IoT) dalam proses monitoring. Sistem pada alat dibagi menjadi dua yaitu transmitter dan receiver. Transmitter berisikan sensor DO, sensor pH, sensor TDS, dan sensor suhu yang kemudian akan diletakkan di sumber air yang akan diukur untuk mengukur kualitas sumber air. Data tersebut kemudian akan dikirimkan ke receiver menggunakan LoRa (Long Range) yang menggunakan frekuensi radio sebagai transmisi sinyal antara perangkat transmitter dan receiver. Kemudian data tersebut akan dikirim ke aplikasi Blynk dengan penerapan IoT pada alat sehingga pembacaan data dapat dilihat menggunakan smartphone. Perancangan alat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah pengukuran kualitas air yang masih dilakukan secara manual dan membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama dengan sistem monitoring kualitas air yang real time, otomatis dan efisien.

Abstract

The peat water studied contained colour, turbidity, organic substances, and iron that were sufficient to be analysed for the use of electrocoagulation. The aluminium electrodes were contacted with peat water by varying electrode plates, sedimentation time, electrolyte concentration, stirring speed, and contact time to produce clean water. The results showed that the electrocoagulator with the 3 pairs of electrode plates, 60-minute sedimentation time, 75 g NaCl electrolyte concentration, stirring speed at 75 rpm, and 60-minute electrocoagulation time was the most optimal variation. The results showed that the electrocoagulation method was able to reduce the pollutant levels in peat water. The results of this treatment also met the standards of the Ministry of Health and based on the calculation of cost incurred by the electrocoagulation method, i.e. $ 0.154/day, $ 4.641/month and $ 55.693/year.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of an interactive web-based learning platform for Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control systems, aimed at addressing the conceptual challenges faced by electrical engineering students when learning PID through conventional teaching methods. Despite its foundational role in control theory, PID remains difficult to grasp without practical visualization and hands-on experimentation. To bridge this gap, the research introduces a practical and accessible platform that enhances conceptual understanding through real-time simulations and physical interaction. The proposed system integrates key hardware components including an ESP-32 microcontroller, DC motor, rotary encoder, BTS 7960 motor driver, and I2C LCD. The platform’s web interface is built using HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript, enabling intuitive user interaction. Motor response data is captured via the ESP-32 and transmitted to the web interface using the WebSocket protocol, allowing users to instantly visualize system behavior as PID parameters (Kp, Ki, Kd) are adjusted. This dynamic feedback mechanism enables students to observe changes in system characteristics such as rise time, overshoot, and settling time in real time. To evaluate the platform’s feasibility, practicality, and educational effectiveness, beta testing was conducted among electrical engineering students using Likert-scale questionnaires. The results demonstrated that users were able to successfully interpret the impact of PID tuning on system performance. The average evaluation score reached 75.13%, indicating strong agreement regarding the platform’s educational value and its effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes. In conclusion, the study affirms that the developed web-based platform offers a feasible, engaging, and pedagogically effective alternative to traditional learning approaches. By combining interactive simulations with physical experimentation, the platform significantly improves students’ understanding of PID control systems.

Abstract

Rotary Inverted Pendulum (RIP) merupakan sistem dinamis yang bersifat tidak stabil, nonlinear, dan underactuated, sehingga sering digunakan sebagai studi kasus dalam penelitian sistem kendali. Penelitian ini membahas implementasi Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) untuk stabilisasi RIP berbasis mikrokontroler STM32, tanpa mencakup proses swing-up. Model linear diperoleh dari hasil linearisasi persamaan gerak di sekitar titik keseimbangan tegak menggunakan metode Lagrange. Parameter sistem diukur langsung dari perangkat fisik untuk meningkatkan akurasi model. Matriks state-feedback gain LQR dihitung menggunakan perangkat lunak MATLAB dan diimplementasikan secara real-time pada STM32F411CEU6. Pengujian dilakukan dengan memposisikan pendulum dekat titik keseimbangan dan mengamati respon sudut lengan serta sudut pendulum. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pengendali LQR mampu menstabilkan pendulum dalam waktu kurang dari 2 detik dengan overshoot minimal, dan respon yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan hasil simulasi. Perbedaan kecil pada fase transien disebabkan oleh gesekan tak terukur, keterbatasan aktuator, dan ketidakakuratan sensor. Implementasi mengaplikasikan sistem kendali LQR secara efektif pada sistem RIP skala laboratorium dengan biaya rendah dan performa yang andal.
