Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' perceptions of principals' leadership styles and the implications for teacher professionalism using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Through the collection and analysis of relevant literature, this study identifies various leadership styles applied by principals, including authoritarian, democratic, and transformational styles, and their impact on teacher motivation and performance. The results of the analysis show that teachers' positive perceptions of principals' leadership styles contribute significantly to their improved professionalism. Inclusive and participatory leadership styles proved effective in creating a supportive work environment, increasing commitment, and promoting the development of teachers' pedagogical competencies. This study concludes that principals need to apply adaptive leadership approaches to improve the quality of education in schools. The implications of the findings emphasize the importance of leadership training for principals to strengthen the relationship between leadership and teacher professionalism

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat penerapan kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah, tingkat kualitas sekolah, hubungan antara kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dengan kualitas sekolah, Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kualitas kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah di SMP di Kabupaten Pakis berada dalam kategori sangat sangat tinggi. Kualitas pelayanan sekolah berada dalam kategori yang sangat tinggi, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dua variabel kepemimpinan visioner dan pelayanan sekolah, hubungan yang dihasilkan adalah hubungan yang positif.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the role of Islamic educational leadership practised by school principals in addressing the psychological impact experienced by students after natural disasters in Indonesia. This article uses a literature study approach that explores information and processing research material through the recording of events that have been reviewed. The role of the principal in Islamic educational leadership is crucial in addressing the psychological impact of natural disasters on students in Indonesia. Principals, guided by Islamic values such as compassion, trust, and justice, are responsible for creating a supportive and safe environment for students affected by trauma. Their leadership involves structured interventions, including phases of stabilization, emotional sharing, and rebuilding trust. Effective communication, resource management, and collaboration with teachers, families, and the community are key to minimizing the long-term psychological effects of disasters. Islamic educational leadership empowers principals to foster resilience and emotional healing, ensuring students' well-being and recovery while maintaining a focus on their academic and personal growth. Limitations are shown in the study of the principal’s role in handling the psychological impact of students as victims of natural disasters within the framework of Islamic educational leadership. This study is grounded in the principles of Islamic educational leadership, emphasizing the importance of compassionate and responsive leadership in managing education during a crisis. It highlights the pivotal role of school principals in guiding and supporting students affected by natural disasters, who require not only academic leadership but also emotional and psychological care rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of using interactive teaching materials based on the Dayak Bulusu traditional dance on strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile character in elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The participants were fifth-grade students from a public elementary school in North Kalimantan, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a character assessment instrument that referred to the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile and were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ character, particularly in the aspects of mutual cooperation, independent learning, and cultural diversity appreciation, in the experimental group using the interactive teaching materials. These results suggest that integrating local cultural content into interactive learning resources effectively promotes character education aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile. The study recommends that interactive materials rooted in indigenous culture be continuously developed as innovative media in elementary education, especially within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in instilling religious and national character values in line with the second principle of Pancasila: humanity that is just and civilized. Character education aims not only to transfer academic knowledge but also to shape students' attitudes and behaviors. However, phenomena such as violence, bullying, and brawls highlight a crisis in character that requires serious attention. Therefore, character education must be a priority and involve schools, parents, and the community. School leadership, particularly spiritual leadership, plays a strategic role in shaping students' character. Spiritual leadership involves applying spiritual values in decision-making and daily interactions, which can strengthen moral and ethical quality in schools. At SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, spiritual activities like Morning Spiritual Greetings and group prayers help build character and discipline among students. At SMAK Yos Sudarso Batu, activities such as morning prayers and celebrating major Catholic holidays support students' spiritual development. This research explores how spiritual leadership at both schools motivates teachers and affects performance and character development. Using a qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving principals, curriculum deputies, and teachers as participants, the research highlights the role of spiritual leadership in motivating and improving teacher performance. At SMAK Yos Sudarso, the new principal implements transformational leadership through open communication and regular training, creating a positive team dynamic. At SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, despite leadership changes, the principal ensures that the school's vision is accepted through active communication and workshops, addressing challenges with support and recognition that motivate staff. Religious activities like morning prayers and celebrations strengthen spiritual commitment and work enthusiasm. Emotional support and altruistic culture improve teamwork and dedication. This research confirms that integrating spiritual values, effective communication, and emotional support is essential in creating a high-quality and productive work environment, enhancing staff motivation and performance, and supporting the school's vision and mission.

Abstract

Heutagogy merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada kemandirian dan refleksi diri dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pendekatan heutagogy dalam pengembangan profesional guru. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kajian literatur sistematis yang mengacu pada model Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Hasil kajian menunjukkan dua temuan utama. Pertama, penerapan heutagogy dalam pengembangan profesional guru dapat diwujudkan dalam berbagai bentuk, seperti modul e-learning, e-portfolio, media sosial, video edukatif, dan platform pembelajaran daring yang fleksibel. Kedua, heutagogy memberikan dampak positif terhadap profesionalisme guru, antara lain meningkatkan kesadaran reflektif, mendorong kemandirian dalam pengembangan kompetensi, serta memfasilitasi pemanfaatan teknologi dalam praktik pembelajaran. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan desain pelatihan guru yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan individu, berbasis teknologi, serta mendukung pelaksanaan kurikulum berbasis merdeka belajar. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya ilmu pendidikan khususnya dalam pengembangan profesional guru berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran mandiri.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe learning leadership in building a culture of information technology and utilizing it to improve the quality of elementary school organizations based on digital developments in Indonesia. This article uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study method. Data were obtained from key informants, elementary school documents and books, as well as journals and articles that support the research on learning leadership in building a culture of information technology in the digital era. The findings show that principal’s leadership plays a central role, not only by issuing policies but also by modeling, guiding teachers, and fostering collaboration that integrates technology into daily learning practices. This leadership focus transforms technology use into a sustainable school culture rather than a temporary response to the pandemic. The use of information technology is not only carried out in learning, but academic activities and school management have also begun to incorporate digital-based information technology. The learning leadership of school principals can be seen in their role in organizing the acculturation of information technology utilization through school policies and activity programs, especially in developing learning activities. Limitations include the fact that learning in the classroom is not fully digital-based, as elementary school learning still prioritizes face-to-face interactions between teachers and students. This study develops its setting and orientation by emphasizing leadership values in educational management. The study highlights the importance of the learning leadership of school principals in developing learning innovations at their schools, especially in the development of a digital-based information technology culture.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the improvement in the quality of higher education based on the Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) policy. One form of policy of the Minister of Education and Culture in improving quality is through the MBKM policy. This study is an idea presented based on literature reflection where data is collected through literature review, analyzed and presented in discussion. Improving the quality of human resources through improving the quality of education is an investment made by the government. The Independent Campus Learning Policy (MBKM) is a real effort made by the government to answer future challenges. There are four main MBKM programs, namely ease of opening new study programs, changes to the higher education accreditation system, ease of state universities becoming legal entity PTNs and the right to study three semester study programs outside. The concept of implementing MBKM is to create an autonomous and flexible learning process in higher education so as to create an innovative learning culture that suits student needs, and is able to encourage students to master various knowledge that is useful for entering the world of work, as well as providing opportunities for students to determine their major they will take.

Abstract

This study examines the formation of academic procrastination in the absence of the influence of peers. This study employed a correlational quantitative approach involving a sample of 425 mahasantri, selected through the cluster random sampling technique. This study used four instruments. The Academic Procrastination Scale (α = 0.971) was employed to assess academic procrastination, the Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (α = 0.937) was utilized to evaluate self-regulated learning, the Positive Peer Influence Inventory (α = 0.882) was utilized to assess peer influence, and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (α = 0.788) was utilized to assess self-efficacy. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with AMOS. The results showed chi square value = 131.924 (p <0.05), GFI = 0.968, AGFI = 0.952, CFI = 0.994, TLI = 0.992, RMSEA = 0.030 and NFI = 0.981.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja sekolah. Salah satu strategi yang dapat diterapkan adalah dengan membangun budaya religius melalui doa pagi bersama seluruh guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana penguatan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah melalui kegiatan doa pagi bersama dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dan berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen di sebuah sekolah menengah pertama di Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan doa pagi bersama dapat meningkatkan keimanan, ketakwaan, rasa syukur, optimisme, persaudaraan, kebersamaan, motivasi, semangat kerja, dan moral guru. Guru yang lebih siap dan termotivasi mampu memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih berkualitas kepada siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang memperkuat budaya religius melalui doa pagi memiliki efek positif signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengembangan model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berbasis religius untuk memperkuat budaya religius di sekolah.
