Abstract

Employees with high Work Engagement (WE) are believed to be more reliable in achieving organizational goals. This research aims to determine the differences in the role of well-being with the concepts of hedonic and eudemonic in predicting WE. The subjects of this research consisted of 327 people, who were analyzed in 3 stages, namely 110 people who were analyzed in stage-1, 217 people who were analyzed in stage-2, and all research subjects were analyzed in stage-3. All data for this research were collected using the WE scale, PWB scale, SWFL scale, and PANAS, which have a Chronbach alpha reliability coefficient of .773 respectively; .831; .627; 747; 744. In stage-1 research analysis, SWB and PWB show more of just one component, whereas in stage-2 and stage-3 research analysis, they are more likely to be seen as two different factors in predicting WE. The results of the stepwise model multiple regression statistical technique analysis concluded that the regression coefficient on the influence of SWB and PWB on WE from the three analyses stated that PWB was stronger than SWB in predicting WE. Thus, it can be interpreted that to predict WE the Well-Being concept with the eudemonic concept is greater than using well-being with the hedonic concept.

Abstract

In an era of dynamic work, millennials face unique challenges related to job stress that can impact their intention to leave their job, known as turnover intention. This scientific article explores the relationship between work stress and turnover intentions in the millennial generation, focusing on the mediating role of supervisor support to reexamine whether superiors are one of the determinants of millennial employee turnover intentions. This study used a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of research were millennial generation employees, with at least 3 months of work. Respondents came from Malaysia (64 people) and Indonesia (152 people), with a total of 216 respondents. The instruments used were the Turnover Intention Scale, General Work Stress, and Supervisor Support which have been tested. The research results show: 1). a quite strong and significant relationship between work stress and turnover intention; 2). supervisor support is not significant on turnover intentions; and 3). The effect of work stress on turnover intention with supervisor support as moderate is not significant. The novelty of the results of this research is that it is very inspiring information for management policies for millennial employees who want to stop working by overcoming sources of work stress and fostering a collegial nature with co-workers. Research implications are discussed

Abstract

The concept of social entrepreneurship has gained popularity in Indonesia. However, there has been a lack of development in measuring individuals' readiness or interest in social entrepreneurship within the Indonesian context. Based on a literature review, there are no existing studies that have translated and adapted instruments to measure the antecedents of social entrepreneurship for students. One such instrument, the Social Entrepreneurial Antecedents Scale (SEAS), was originally developed to assess social entrepreneurial intentions. This study aims to adapt the scale, especially for students in tertiary institutions for 131 students. Following Beaton's theoretical framework, the research was conducted in six stages: translation, synthesis, back translation, expert committee review, pre-testing, and assessment. The construct validity of the adapted scale was analyzed through confirmatory factor analysis using JAMOVI, focusing on four aspects of social entrepreneurship: empathy, moral obligation, self-efficacy, and social support. The adapted scale, which consists of 14 items, has a reliability coefficient of 0.835. Item discrimination for these 14 items ranged from 0.207 to 0.684. Based on the adaptation process results, this sociopreneurship scale is valid for measuring social entrepreneurial intentions and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions aimed at fostering such intentions. Abstract

ABSTRACT Students’ ability to engage in mathematics learning is determined not only by their mastery of concepts but also by the psychological conditions accompanying the learning process. One issue that remains prevalent at the junior high school level is the emergence of math anxiety, which may hinder students’ engagement and academic performance. This study explores the relationship between mathematics self-efficacy and math anxiety among junior high school students in Yogyakarta. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach using pre-test data from 187 eighth-grade students from four public and private junior high schools. Data were collected through a 23-item mathematics self-efficacy questionnaire and a 14-item math anxiety questionnaire using a Likert scale. The quality of the instruments was supported by good reliability values, as indicated by Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.856 for mathematics self-efficacy and 0.874 for math anxiety. The analysis showed that the data met the assumptions of normality and linearity, making them suitable for Pearson correlation analysis. [M2.1]A significant negative relationship was found between the two variables, indicating that an increase in students’ confidence in their mathematical abilities was associated with a decrease in their level of anxiety in mathematics learning. These findings reinforce the importance of developing students’ psychological aspects as an integral part of mathematics learning strategies that support well-being and academic success.

Abstract

Research data states that 37% of employees in Indonesia experience mental disorders, especially in the millennial and Z generations. Various terms and measurements of mental health often appear in psychological research but are rarely adjusted to respondents in the context of work settings and often limited to understanding the affective side of individuals, and not much is interpreted from the cognitive side. This is the primary basis for the translation and adaptation process, which uses measurements using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-42) and Subjective Cognitive Decline Questionnaire (SCD-Q). The translation and adaptation process is carried out using Beaton's concept, which consists of the translation process, synthesis, back translation, expert committee review, pilot test, and the last stage is the submission developer committee. The respondents used in this process numbered 100 people according to the characteristics that have been determined. The DASS-42 item discrimination test results for the Stress are 0.685 - 0.879, the Anxiety is 0.701 - 0.989, and the Depression is 0.591 -0.841. Reliability with Cronbach Alpha for the Stress is 0.957, the Anxiety is 0.961, and the Depression is 0.935, which indicates high reliability. The results of the item discrimination test for the SCD-Q are 0.401-0.770 with a Cronbach Alpha of 0.926, which indicates high reliability. The measurement results show that the test tools for measuring mental health, DASS-42, and SCD-Q, can be used to measure and explore levels and analyze mental health in the work environment context, especially for the millennial and Z generations
