Abstract

This study analyzes religious values and aesthetics in five contemporary Islamic poems: Perjuangan Dakwah, He Backs Out Strong, Sightless, Mindful, The Mystery of Being Humans, and Give Me a Pen and Paper. The study aims to describe religious themes, language style, and Islamic values in these poems. A qualitative descriptive method was employed using content analysis and stylistic analysis. The results show that each poem emphasizes different aspects of religious values, including the struggle of da’wah, prayer and brotherhood, sincere love, spiritual awareness, and the power of knowledge and intellectual da’wah. Language aesthetics include metaphors, symbols, repetition, paradoxes, and acronyms that reinforce the religious messages. These findings support the view that contemporary Islamic poetry serves as a medium for da’wah, spiritual reflection, and internalization of moral values relevant to modern life.

Abstract

Kelembaban udara memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada berbagai sektor industri, terutama yang bergantung pada kondisi lingkungan, seperti tekstil dan farmasi. Kota Bandung sebagai salah satu kota industri juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kelembaban udaranya. Oleh karena itu, peramalan kelembaban udara penting untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang tepat. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan analisis komparatif dua metode pemodelan berbasis Recurrant Neural Network (RNN), yaitu Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) dan Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), untuk memprediksi kelembaban udara di Kota Bandung. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kelembaban dari 1 Juli 2019 hingga 1 Juli 2024, yang diambil dari sumber data sekunder di situs web NASA. Proses pemodelan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Google Colab, dan akurasi model diukur dengan dua metrik utama, yaitu Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) dan Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model GRU menghasilkan kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan LSTM, dengan 1 layer dan 25 node, nilai MAPE yang diperoleh adalah 2,831% dan RMSE adalah 0,579. Sementara itu, LSTM optimal dalam penggunaan 1 layer dengan 75 node dan memiliki MAPE sebesar 2,929% dan RMSE sebesar 0,593. Dari segi efisiensi waktu, GRU juga unggul dengan waktu pengoperasian yang lebih pendek, yaitu 2525,489 detik dibandingkan dengan LSTM yang membutuhkan waktu 3410,316 detik. Oleh karena itu, GRU adalah pilihan yang lebih baik dalam memprediksi kelembaban udara, baik dari segi akurasi maupun efisiensi waktu.Kata kunci: Kelembaban; Long Short Term Memory; Gated Recurrent Unit;

Abstract

The growing emphasis on competency-based and reflective learning models in global counselor education, as promoted by UNESCO and OECD frameworks, highlights the need for pedagogical innovations that foster critical thinking and learner autonomy. Responding to this global demand, this study examines the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model in the Guidance and Counseling course and analyzes students’ responses to its application. Using a qualitative descriptive design and questionnaires, the research involved 68 undergraduate students in their second and fourth semesters. The findings indicate that IBL significantly enhanced students’ engagement (by 87%), critical thinking (by 76%), and conceptual understanding of counseling theories (by 81%). Students reported that IBL encouraged greater independence, reflection, and collaborative inquiry throughout the learning process. This study addresses a notable gap in the literature: empirical evidence on IBL in counselor education—particularly in non-Western contexts remains limited. Conceptually, the results affirm the alignment of IBL with constructivist and experiential learning paradigms, offering a model that bridges theory and practice in developing the foundational competencies of future counselors. In practice, these findings underscore the potential of IBL as a transformative strategy for cultivating globally relevant, contextually grounded counselor education. Abstract

This study aimed to examine how women are represented in popular romantic comedy films by analyzing the portrayal of female agency and gender roles in Runaway Bride and 27 Dresses. Grounded in feminist film theory, the research seeks to understand how the female protagonists negotiate personal autonomy, romantic expectations, and societal pressures within patriarchal cultural contexts. Employing a qualitative textual analysis, the study systematically analyzed key scenes, character development, dialogue, and narrative structures in both films to identify recurring themes related to femininity, independence, and conformity to traditional gender norms. The findings indicated that while both films depict women striving for self-fulfillment and independence, their narratives simultaneously reinforced and challenging dominant gender ideologies. These ambivalent representations reflected broader socio-cultural discourses on contemporary femininity and empowerment. The study concluded that romantic comedies occupy a complex position in mediating feminist ideals, reproducing conventional gender expectations while offering limited spaces for female agency. By highlighting these contradictions, the research contributed to feminist media studies and emphasizes the importance of critical media literacy in interpreting gender representation in mainstream cinema.

Abstract

Dekat Tea is a tea shop in Bandung offering a variety of quality teas. Despite the growing trend of tea consumption and limited competition in the city, Dekat Tea faces significant fluctuations in monthly income. This study aims to explore the consumer purchasing decision-making process and its characteristics, using a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with 50 consumers. The results show that the majority of consumers are women aged 17–25 with high school/vocational school and undergraduate degrees, and are from the middle class. The purchasing decision process is influenced by internal (health benefits) and external (social media) factors, with TikTok as the primary source of information. During the evaluation stage, consumers tend to consider product aspects, location, and price. Purchase decisions are generally driven by the product selection offered by Dekat Tea, its strategic location, and trust in the brand. Most consumers are satisfied and willing to make repeat purchases or provide recommendations. These findings suggest the importance of optimizing social media, especially TikTok, as a promotional medium, innovating product variants according to young consumers' preferences, and diversifying sales channels to increase brand visibility and maintain revenue stability.

Abstract

This study examines the psychological dynamics of teachers as portrayed in the Thai film “The Teacher’s Diary” (2014) using Freud’s psychoanalytic theory of id, ego, and superego, alongside defense mechanisms. The research employs qualitative content analysis, focusing on key scenes that reveal the emotional, moral, and reflective behaviors of the main characters, Song and Ann. Results indicate that both teachers manage internal conflicts and external challenges through rationalization, sublimation, intellectualization, and moral commitment, demonstrating resilience, reflective practice, and ethical awareness. The discussion connects these findings with contemporary theories of effective teaching, emphasizing emotional intelligence, moral purpose, and reflective practice as core competencies for teacher development. The study highlights how cinematic narratives can provide valuable insights into teacher identity, professional growth, and the integration of personal and professional competencies in education.
