Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the factors that affect students' problem abilities, namely interests, self-efficacy, and basic mathematical abilities. The form of research used is original research. The sample consisted of 90 students of class XI-IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya, and the research instruments used were questionnaires and description questions. The data obtained were then processed with the SPSS application, as follows: 1) interest contributed 0,42% in problem-solving skills 2) the relationship of self-efficacy contributed 32,02% in problem ability 3) the relationship between basic mathematical abilities contributed 63,96 % in the ability to handle problems 4) the relationship of interest, self-efficacy, and basic mathematical abilities together contributes 96,40% to the problem management ability, so there are two factors that relate to or affect problem ability while the other factor is not related . The coefficient of determination for these three factors is 40.1%, while the rest is seen by other factors. In general, there is a significant relationship between interests, self-efficacy, basic mathematical abilities and problem problem abilities. This research is expected to be a reference to improve the factors that affect the problem solving ability of students.

Abstract

Through lesson analysis, this research analyzed teacher interaction in science classes, particularly in physics classes in one of the secondary schools at Pontianak, West Kalimantan. A qualitative method is used in this study by analyzing tape recording and video. This study has four stages of implementing lesson study cycles. It starts with planning lesson design, implementation with observation containing student and teacher responses during the lesson, reflection, and revised lesson design. Video tapped, and transcripts are employed in each lesson. The analysis showed that a teacher dominated the lesson at 62.3%, while students only made up 37.4% of the total conversations during their lessons. Knowing the interaction of teacher and students in the learning process could help the teacher to make improvements in learning based on reflections from the responses of students and teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik di kelas XII IPA SMA Bina Utama Pontianak pada pelajaran fisika. Tujuan dari survei ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi profil kesalah pahaman peserta didik, serta melihat antara peserta didik kelompok tinggi, kelompok sedang, dan kelompok rendah apakah terjadi perbedaan miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini berupa deskriptif jenis survey. Dengan sampel sebanyak 48 peserta didik diperoleh melalui metode pengambilan sampling jenuh. Instrument pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes diagnostik 4 tingkat dengan 3 alternatif jawaban bermodel pilihan ganda disertai alasan tertutup dan telah diuji reliabilitasnya, sebesar 0,472 serta validitas isi sebesar 0,671 dan validitas bahasa sebesar 0,656. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi terkait konsep listrik statis. Bentuk-bentuk miskonsepsi yang sering dilakukan peserta didik seperti: jumlah proton dan electron yang dimiliki dua buah benda yang diam berbeda, arah medan listrik selalu menjauhi sumber muatan negatif dan mendekati sumber positif, besar gaya tarik atau tolak antara dua muatan berbanding lurus dengan kuadrat jarak. Pada hasil analisis chi-square diantara kelompok tinggi, kelompok sedang, dan kelompok rendah tidak terjadi perbedaan miskonsepsi pada materi listrik statis.

Abstract

Mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan multirepresentasi merupakan tujuan penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian survei yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan 33 peserta didik kelas X dan XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Singkawang untuk menjawab 4 soal esai tes multirepresentasi gaya yang terdiri dari 3 jawaban yaitu menentukan gaya-gaya, menggambarkan diagram gaya serta menuliskan persamaan matematis. Hasil analisis data tingkat kemampuan multirepresentasi peserta didik tergolong sedang (56,27%). Selain itu, kemampuan tiap format representasi peserta didik adalah representasi verbal sebesar 70,65%; representasi diagram (59,55%) dan representasi matematis sebesar (38,62%).

Abstract

The research was conducted to know the effectiveness of providing e-comics related to straight-motion material for improving student learning outcomes in class VIII MTsN 1 Kayong Utara. This type of research is experimental research that applies a non-equivalent control group design with an intact group random sampling technique. Based on the research data, the results were obtained, namely: 1) students who received e-comics and those who did not receive e-comics, their learning outcomes increased. The increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class was higher than that in the control class; 2) a significant difference was found in the learning outcomes of students who used e-comics and those who did not use e-comics with Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05; 3) the provision of e-comics in learning is obtained with an effective level of 0.82 in the effective category. Therefore, e-comic media is effectively used in learning straight-motion material in class VIII MTsN 1 Kayong Utara.

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak, Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang digunakan disekolah masih menggunakan LKPD dalam bentuk buku serta ketersediaan LKPD dalam bentuk cetak belum memenuhi jumlah peserta didik sehingga LKPD tidak diperoleh peserta didik secara merata. Oleh sebab itu Peneliti berinisiatif mengembangkan LKPD berbantuan flip pdf professional pada materi tekanan hidrostatis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Langkah-langkah pegembangan LKPD (2) kelayakan LKPD (3) respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD berbantuan Flip pdf Professional pada materi tekanan hidrostatis di SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Developmment (R&D) yang mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation) yang telah dimodifikasi, tanpa tahapan implementasi dan evaluasi. Langkah penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah analisis masalah, perancangan, pengembangan dan uji kelayakan produk. Instrument penelitian menggunakan lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar validasi ahli media dan angket respon peserta didik dengan skala 4 kategori nilai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kelayakan LKPD yang dinilai oleh ahli materi mendapatkan kategori layak (0,75) dan penilaian oleh ahli media mendapatkan kategori layak (0,74). (2) respon peserta didik terhadap pengembangan LKPD mendapat kategori sangat menarik (87%). Berdasarkan data penelitian dapat diperoleh simpulan berupa LKPD yang dikembangkan dapat diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan virtual laboratory dan motivasi belajar fisika terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik secara simultan di SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. Rancangan posttest only control group design digunakan dalam penelitian untuk mengategorikan dua kelompok (eksperimen dan kontrol) yang diberikan tes setelah adanya pembelajaran. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi dan tes hasil belajar diberikan kepada dua kelompok tersebut pada materi pembentukan bayangan cermin dan lensa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih rendah daripada kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata 51,81  56,52. Jika ditinjau dari peserta didik yang memiliki motivasi tinggi, maka kelompok eksperimen memiliki hasil belajar lebih rendah dibandingkan kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata 51,11  75,00. Sedangkan jika ditinjau dari peserta didik yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah, maka kelompok eksperimen memiliki hasil belajar lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata 52,50  37,50. Rendahnya hasil belajar pada kelompok eksperimen dapat disebabkan oleh perbedaan pembobotan skor esai pada soal hitungan dan soal gambar. Adanya perbedaan bobot skor tersebut karena didasari oleh tingkat kesukaran tiap soal yang diujikan. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta didik kelompok kontrol memiliki jawaban yang sama karena pengawasan dalam pengerjaan tes sulit dikontrol secara langsung. Tinggi atau rendahnya hasil belajar tidak dipengaruhi oleh motivasi peserta didik. Hal ini karena peserta didik yang memiliki motivasi tinggi tidak selalu mendapatkan hasil belajar yang tinggi, melainkan juga bisa mendapatkan hasil belajar yang rendah. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan virtual laboratory tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik ditinjau dari motivasi belajar fisika.

Abstract

Conceptual change is seen as a powerful teaching approach for developing 21st century skills. To determine the usefulness of delivering a conceptual change text for fostering conceptual change regarding light in physics learning at home during the pandemic, a quasi-experimental design was adopted, with one group pre-and posttesting. The participants are 23 eighth-grade students from SMPN 2 Ledo Bengkayang, a public secondary school in the rural region, who were recruited using an intact group random selection technique. A diagnostic test was provided, which included nine multiple-choice items and two distractors, as well as supporting arguments. This study discovered that students' beliefs regarding light and the process of vision vary significantly. After treatment, pupils' misunderstandings were reduced by 26.80%. After receiving the CCT, students had a considerable conceptual shift, and the CCT's effectiveness was sufficient (gain mean = 0.58). To get more effective results, CCT should be used in conjunction with any other teaching approach or model. A scientific teacher should exemplify a conceptual transformation method in the classroom.

Abstract

Mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal suhu dan kalor berdasarkan aspek kemandirian belajar (rendah, sedang, dan tinggi) merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian survei tanpa kelompok pembanding. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kemandirian belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi kepada 126 peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal suhu dan kalor tergolong rendah dengan rata-rata 34,08. Profil kemampuan berpikir tinggi peserta didik pada level menganalisis (C4), mengevaluasi (C5), mencipta (C6) berturut-turut  33,6%, 34,0%, 34,4% dari skor ideal. Uji One-Way ANOVA menunjukkan ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik antara kelompok kemandirian belajar rendah, sedang, dan tinggi karena nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (9,98 > 3,07). Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu kemandirian belajar yang dimiliki peserta didik berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kata Kunci:Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi; Suhu dan Kalor; Kemandirian Belajar Analysis of Student’s Higher Order Thinking Ability in Solving Temperature and Heat ProblemsABSTRACTTo describe the higher-order thinking ability profile of students in solving temperature and heat problems based on aspects of learning independence (low, medium, and high) was the aim of this study. This research was survey research without a comparison group. The data was collected through a learning independence questionnaire and a higher-order thinking ability test on 126 students of class XI MIA at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The results of this study indicated that the higher-order thinking ability of students in solving temperature and heat problems was low with an average of 34.08. The higher-order thinking ability profile of students at the level of analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) were respectively 33.6%, 34.0%, 34.4% from the ideal score. The One-Way ANOVA test showed that there was a difference in the higher-order thinking ability profile of students in the low learning independence group, the medium learning independence group, and the high learning independence groups because the value of Fvalue > Fdistribution (9.98 > 3.07). It was concluded that the learning independence of students had a positive effect on higher order thinking ability.

Abstract

Implementation of lesson study encourages Reflective Practitioners to get used to collaborating in learning practice. In Indonesia, educational programs have been designed with collaboration in mind, promoting a reflection process within the learning community. This research focuses on trending topics/themes of reflective practitioners in supporting the sustainability of their learning communities. The participants involved in this study were 75 reflective practitioners consisting of school principals (P), school supervisors (SS), and learning committee teachers (T). Through the Facilitating School Program (FSP) Questionnaire, information was obtained that two topics were becoming trends by all reflective practitioners in Learning Community for Reflective Practitioners (LCRP) activities in schools, namely, commitment to improving quality sustainably 85.3% and conducting research collaboratively 841%. Schools must collaborate with teachers and principals to design straightforward school programs so that these two topics can be implemented smoothly
