Abstract

AbstrakBurung Rangkong atau Enggang yang dikenal juga sebagai ‘petani hutan’ memiliki peranan penting bagi hutan tropis di Indonesia, sebab kebiasaannya yang gemar menebar biji buah sisa makanannya saat ia terbang. Biji buah yang tersebar tersebut dapat menjadi bibit pohon baru dan dapat meregenerasi hutan secara alami. Namun, keberadaan burung tersebut jarang diketahui oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Padahal populasi burung tersebut di alam liar sangat mengkhawatirkan, hampir semua jenis Burung Rangkong memiliki status satwa yang dilindungi. Sangat disayangkan jika masyarakat khususnya anak-anak Indonesia di masa mendatang tidak mengenal burung yang sangat penting dan eksotis tersebut. Dibutuhkan media yang dapat memuat berbagai informasi dari Burung Rangkong dan menjadi media pengenalan yang menarik bagi anak-anak, maka buku ensiklopedia berilustrasi dipilih sebagai media utama pada penelitian ini. Terdapat 2 tahap yang digunakan dalam penelitian, yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap penciptaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menghasilkan konsep “Mengenal ‘Petani Hutan’ Indonesia”, yang digunakan sebagai acuan untuk menciptakan media buku ensiklopedia berilustrasi dengan tujuan mengenalkan berbagai hal tentang Burung Rangkong beserta jenisnya tanpa harus bertemu atau melihat langsung burung tersebut di alam maupun di suaka marga satwa. Diharapkan Buku Ensiklopedia tersebut juga dapat menjaga eksistensi Burung Rangkong yang dilindungi. Kata Kunci: Anak, Buku, Burung Rangkong, Ensiklopedia, Ilustrasi AbstractHornbill is also known as 'forest farmers', has an important role in tropical forests in Indonesia, because of its habit of spreading the leftover seeds when it flies. The scattered fruit seeds can become new tree seedlings and can naturally regenerate the forests. However, the existence of these birds is rarely known by Indonesian society. Whereas the population of these birds in the wild is very worrying, almost all types of hornbills have protected animal status. It is unfortunate if society especially future Indonesian children do not recognize this very important and exotic bird. The Media that contain information about Hornbill is needed as an interesting knowledge medium for children, so the illustrated encyclopedia book was chosen as the main media in this research. In this research, there are 2 stages used which are the preparation stage and the stage of creation. The results of this study produced the concept of "Get to know Indonesia's Forest Farmers " which is used as a reference to create an illustrated encyclopedia book media to introduce various things about hornbill and their species without having to meet or see the bird directly in nature or wildlife reserves. Abstract

AbstrakJelajah Kampus Virtual (Jejakatua) adalah aplikasi virtual tour kampus UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPNVJ) yang hadir sebagai media digital untuk memberikan layanan kampus yang baik dan prima. Aplikasi Jejakatua bisa diakses di website UPN “Veteran” Jatim melalui koneksi internet di mana saja dan kapan saja sehingga perlu adanya identitas visual untuk mempromosikan aplikasi Jejakatua kepada masyarakat yang membutuhkannya. Melalui perancangan logo, aplikasi Jejakatua diharapkan bisa dikenal masyarakat dan berfungsi sebagai tanda jaminan kualitas, mencegah peniruan atau pembajakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap penciptaan. Tahap persiapan meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis 5w+1H, dan sintesis. Tahap penciptaan meliputi pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Logo aplikasi Jejakatua dirancang sesuai aspek pembuatan logo yang meliputi efektivitas, teknik, warna, dan regulasi. Sehingga dapat tercipta sesuai kaidah desain dan memiliki kebaruan dan desain kekinian yang berbeda dengan logo lainnya dan mampu mencitrakan dirinya sebagai aplikasi virtual tour di lingkungan UPNVJ. Logo diimplementasikan di aplikasi Jejakatua dan media promosi seperti stationary dan merchandise. Media promosi tersebut dipublikasikan di laman resmi www.upnjatim.ac.id dan Instagram. Kata kunci:  aplikasi, jejakatua, logo, UPN, virtual tour AbstractJejakatua is a virtual tour application for UPN "Veteran" East Java (UPNVJ) campus as digital media to provide excellent campus services. Jejakatua application can be accessed on the UPNVJ website through an internet connection, anywhere and anytime, so that there is a need for a visual identity to promote the Jejakatua application to the people who need it. By designing the logo of Jejakatua, it can be known to the public and serves as a sign of quality assurance, preventing imitation or piracy. This study uses two methods: The preparation phase includes data collection, analysis of 5w + 1H, and synthesis. The creation phase covers pre-production, production, and post-production. Jejakatua application logo is designed according to the aspects of making a logo which includes effectiveness, technique, color, and regulation so that it can be created according to design rules and has a novelty and contemporary design that is different from other logos and can image itself as a virtual tour application in the UPNVJ environment. The logo is implemented in the Jejakatua application and promotional media such as stationery and merchandise. Then the promotional media was published on the official pages of www.upnjatim.ac.id and instagram. Keywords: application, jejakatua, logo, UPN, virtual tour

Abstract

Communication is the basis of social interaction activities in everyday life. There are four communication patterns, namely passive communication, aggressive communication, passive-aggressive communication, and assertive communication. Of the several communication patterns, assertive communication is the most effective communication pattern. However, assertive communication is still a common thing among the public. According to questionnaire data, 63.6% of 66 fresh graduates do not know assertive communication. A fresh graduate will be faced with problems such as work problems and other work demands. In addition, it is also necessary to have soft skills that are useful in the future. Therefore, assertive communication patterns are needed in the world of work. Seeing fresh graduates who are busy with work, informative and interesting educational media is needed, namely illustration books. The use of visuals and verbal in this book adjusts the characteristics of the target audience. Based on these phenomena and problems, this research uses the preparation stage and the creation stage. With this illustrated book media, it is hoped that the target audience can apply it in their daily lives, attract reading interest, and be able to work more productively in the future.

Abstract

The Darussalam Islamic Education Institute has study groups for KB, PPT, Kindergarten, and TPA. The building environment has not been equipped with a conducive environment, with the large number of study groups and the number of students making students feel less comfortable and safe. Even though every corner at LPI Darussalam can be used as a vehicle for learning to develop the basic abilities of growing children. LPI Darussalam requires a sign system as an information medium for spatial directions, space markers, and appeals to support the student learning process by using the pre-production stage including design strategies, communication strategies, creative strategies, and media strategies, the production stage includes visual concepts, and the post-production stage includes media implementation. Thus the sign system can be used as learning and child development in the aspects of language, art, motorism, and cognitive, so that students feel safe and comfortable when studying at school.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, tidak terkecuali bahwa teknologi juga ikut berkembang. Salah satunya dalam memperoleh informasi, akibatnya mulai jarang masyarakat yang akhirnya tertarik untuk membaca buku. Inilah salah satu faktor yang menimbulkan angka literasi Indonesia rendah. Masalah tersebut akhirnya merambah pada kesehatan masyarakat. Kurangnya edukasi dan literasi masyarakat akan kesehatan dapat menimbulkan suatu masalah pula salah satunya adalah stunting. Menurut data dari SSGI angka stunting Indonesia tahun 2022 lalu senilai 21.6%. Pemerintah berupaya untuk menurunkan angka ini sampai 14% pada tahun 2024. Oleh karena itu, dirancanglah sebuah buku “Generasi Emas Bebas Stunting” dengan berbasis teknologi baru yaitu Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality tersebut kemudian akan memunculkan sebuah animasi singkat mengenai salah satu poin yang dibahas pada buku yang dirancang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah; metode penelitian data deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Tujuan perancangan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya stunting dan pencegahannya, serta sebagai kontribusi untuk membantu pemerintah dan tenaga kesehatan dalam menurunkan angka stunting di Indonesia. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan data bahwa, meskipun Augmented Reality merupakan media yang menarik untuk edukasi, nyatanya cukup memakan waktu dalam proses pengaplikasiannya sehingga kurang efektif.

Abstract

Worksheet for children is one of the learning tools that can be used as early childhood education media. Early childhood refers to children in the age range of 0-6 years old. As we all know, this age is crucial and influential for the future of these children. Therefore, one of the roles that parents can play is to find suitable learning media, and one of them is by using children's worksheets. Children's worksheets are often associated with images of living beings such as humans and animals.To address the concerns of Muslim parents who may consider drawing living beings as prohibited, a faceless worksheet named "Hanif" has been created. The Hanif worksheet is designed to be suitable for Muslim families, featuring captivating images that are liked by children.

Abstract

The use of information technology has become an integral part of modern tourism development. Interactive tourist maps have proven to be an effective tool in guiding travelers to explore tourist destinations. This research focuses on designing an innovative and appealing tourist map for the city of Sidoarjo, utilizing cheerful landmark designs. The development method involves user needs analysis, selection of representative landmarks, and the implementation of attractive and user-friendly graphic designs. This interactive tourist map is designed to be accessible through digital platforms, enabling users to plan their journeys more efficiently. The selected landmarks not only serve as location markers but are also designed with cheerful aesthetics to enhance the user experience. The map is equipped with interactive features such as detailed information about each landmark, the best travel routes, as well as reviews and recommendations from previous users. It is expected that the design of this interactive tourist map will make a positive contribution to promoting tourism in the city of Sidoarjo and enhancing traveler satisfaction through an engaging and informative experience. Furthermore, the use of cheerful landmark designs is anticipated to create a strong visual identity, setting it apart from tourist destinations in other cities.

Abstract

In the continuously evolving digital era, preaching media is becoming increasingly vast and dynamic. One medium with significant potential is digitally-based posters. This research aims to identify and analyze the design strategies for digital-based posters as an effective medium for preaching. Through a qualitative approach and design study, the authors explore various design aspects, including the selection of illustrations, typography, and color that influence the success of the preaching message.

Abstract

Penulisan karya ilmiah salah satunya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan salah satu solusi yang diharapkan mampu memberikan pemecahan masalah yang banyak dihadapi para guru ketika mengajar. Minimnya kesempatan dan daya kreativitas guru dalam mengajar dapat diatasi melalui penerapan PTK. PTK yang dilakukan tidak hanya menyasar pada sisi pengembangan kompetensi mengajar semata guru, tetapi mampu memberikan peningkatan kualitas jenjang jabatan melalui publikasi PTK yang dilaksanakan. Metode yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan penulisan PTK yang dilakuan secara bertahap, diawali dengan pemberian materi secara umum, dilanjutkan dengan penulisan PTK yang dilakukan secara terbimbing setiap minggu secara online sampai pada publikasi hasil PTK pada jurnal terakreditasi. Sesuai dengan tujuan dan sasaran yang ingin dicapai pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan PTK ini dapat memberikan wawasan atau pemahaman peserta terhadap PTK. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kegiatan diskusi dan tanya jawab seputar PTK. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat memotivasi guru sebagai peserta penyuluhan untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran melalui kegiatan PTK. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasme peserta dalam kegiatan mengidentifikasi masalah-masalah kelas yang dihadapi dan mencari kemungkinan penyebab dan solusinya.
