Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at describing: (1) design of using direct method in paired storytelling method to improve the student grade two’s speaking skill at upper secondary islamic school, (2) procedure of using direct method in paired storytelling method to improve the student grade two’s speaking skill at upper secondary islamic school. This research used Classroom Action Research. The result of this research showed that (1) this Classroom Action Research was designed in four step, that is determine which method in accordance with the condition of the student, prepare medium of learning, made strides of learning, planned of learning speaking skill, and prepare the criteria of assesment. (2) this Classroom Action Research was conducted in three cycles. Student’s scores increased to “very good” predicate with average score as big as “82” even 7 students acquired “excellent” predicate by the end of the meeting. Keywords: Paired Storytelling Method, Direct Method, Speaking skill.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the understanding of TSR and its meaning in the context of community language learning and experimental learning. For this reason, literature review and FGD are used as research methods. The TSR model learning method is learning based on translating the mother language into the target language. The TSR learning model has meaning that is relevant to the principles of Charles A. Curran's community language learning model and experiental learning from David Kolb. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemahaman Translate Self-Review (TSR) dan maknanya dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa komunitas dan pembelajaran eksperimental. Untuk alasan ini, tinjauan literatur dan FGD digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Metode pembelajaran model TSR adalah pembelajaran yang didasarkan pada penerjemahan bahasa ibu ke bahasa target. Model pembelajaran TSR memiliki makna yang relevan dengan prinsip-prinsip model pembelajaran bahasa komunitas Charles A. Curran dan pembelajaran pengalaman (eksperimental) dari David Kolb.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sejak tahun 2013 pemerintah mencanangkan penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran samua mata pelajaran (termasuk Bahasa Arab) di semua tingkatan pendidikan (SD, SMP, dan SMA). Sejumlah pihak baik yang secara langsung terkait dengan pembelajaran bahasa Arab maupun para simpatisannya tidak setuju dengan penerapan pendekatan saintik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan masalah-masalah yang dihadapi guru dalam mengajar  bahasa Arab dengan pendekatan saintifik dan alternatif-alternatif pemecahannya. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode deskriptif dengan menjadikan guru-guru bahasa Arab madrasah Aliyah se Malang Raya sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para responden menghadapi masalah dalam menerapkan pendekatan saintifik pada penyusunan RPP, dalam menerapkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran, dan dalam mengevaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Masalah-masalah tersebut disebabkan oleh belum difahaminya pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab oleh para guru bahasa Arab.Kata Kunci: problematika guru, pembelajaran bahasa Arab, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan alumni Jurusan Sastra Arab Universitas Negeri Malang dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar Bahasa Arab inovatif. Kegiatan ini perlu untuk dilakukan mengingat inovasi dan kreatifitas penyiapan bahan ajar inovatif diperlukan khususnya dalam menghadapi gelombang kegawatdaruratan akibat pandemic Covid-19. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam lima fase yaitu persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan implementasi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui platform zoom meeting. Evaluasi dan hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kualitas dan kemampuan alumni dalam menyiapkan bahan ajar berupa modul, e-modul, booklet, aplikasi mobile dan berbagai bahan ajar inovatif lainnya. Sebagai refleksi, kegiatan ini mampu memberikan sumbangsih nyata dalam dunia pendidikan dan pembelajaran khususnya penyiapan SDM unggul dari alumni agar mampu bersaing di dunia kerja.  Kata kunci: bahan ajar, alumni, bahasa Arab, pengabdian masyarakat

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the decline in student motivation and achievement in Qiraah Tsanawiyah learning due to the monotonous appearance of the material and limited media innovation and learning time in the classroom. This study aims to develop interactive android learning media. This research method is research and development with the R2D2 model. This research produces interactive android media which contains four components, namely Al-Mufradat, Al-Qiraah Al-Jahriyah, Fahm Al-Maqru ', and Al-Tadrib, which help students improve five intensive reading skills in Arabic, namely understanding vocabulary, understanding sentence patterns, understanding sentence structure, determining main ideas, and mastering text content. The product of this development is suitable for use, both in terms of content, language, and graphics.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunnya motivasi dan prestasi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan Qiraah Tsanawiyah disebabkan monotonnya tampilan materi dan terbatasnya inovasi media dan waktu pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran android interaktif. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model R2D2. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media android interaktif yang berisi empat komponen, yaitu Al-Mufradat, Al-Qiraah Al-Jahriyah, Fahm Al-Maqru’, dan Al-Tadrib yang membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan lima keterampilan membaca intensif bahasa Arab, yaitu memahami kosakata, memahami pola kalimat, memahami struktur kalimat, menentukan ide pokok, dan menguasai isi teks. Produk pengembangan ini layak digunakan, baik dari aspek isi, bahasa, maupun grafis.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing the application of Lesson Study to increase lecturer’s teacing performance in teaching Nahwu. The researchers used classroom action research in two cycles. The subjects of this research were the students taking Nahwu course with low competence. The result showed that the lecturer model was successful to enhance his patience which he did not recognise before to solve his teaching performance of “difficult” course, i.e. discussing the problem with his colleagues. The observer of this Lesson Study scored 95% for the success of applying Lesson Study, and 98% for the positive change of each step done.

Abstract

Makalah ini ditulis untuk memberikan masukan terhadap peningkatan efektifitas pembelajaran Tarkiib. Materi matakuliah Tarkiib sejatinya merupakan bagian dari materi Nahwu yang penyajiannya dalam pembelajaran tidak menyinggung qawaid yang bersifat teoritis. Pembelajaran Tarkiib merupakan pilihan yang tepat bagi pembelajar Bahasa Arab pemula untuk meluruskan kesalahan-kesalahan yang mereka lakukan dalam berbahasa Arab. Mengingat banyaknya macam dan ragam serta pola Tarkiib dalam Bahasa Arab maka disarankan agar pengajar memilih Tarkiib-Tarkiib yang sederhana. Dalam proses pembelajaran disarankan agar pengajar lebih menekankan latihan-latihan praktis. Kata Kunci: tarkiib, strategi pembelajaran

Abstract

This study was conducted to meet the needs of Nahwu textbooks in Islamic boarding schools based on the scaffolding-structure based on the Al-Ajurumiyyah Al-Qur’aniyyah book by adhering to the applicable Nahwu principle. The research method used is ADDIE model development research This textbook has innovations in the form of a comprehensive concept map, the application of scaffolding theory with sentence patterns from examples of verses of the Qur’an, and a quick response code containing interesting learning content. The textbook is very valid and can be implemented after going through the validation test with the presentation of the results of material validation 95.45%, media validation 89.18%, and validation of learning 95.92%. The effectiveness test with paired t-test shows that the book being developed has a significant effect on student learning.

Abstract

Nahwu or Arabic gramatica is difficult for students. This study focuses on the Mutammam al-Ajrūmiyyah, an Arabic grammatical book popular in Indonesia. This study aims for three purposes: the development of the Mutammimah Al-Ajramiyah book using the Tony Buzan model, concept map, and describing the results of expert validation of the validity of the Mutammimah Al-Ajurumiyah book using the Tony Buzan concept map model, and knowing the effectiveness of using the Mutammimah Al-Ajurumiyah book using the Tony Buzan model concept map. The researcher used the Borg and Gall development approach, which was summarized into data analysis, information gathering, planning, development, expert validation, revision, field experiment, and final product. The samples in this study were fourth-grade students of the Anwar Huda Islamic boarding school in Malang, Indonesia and nahwu teachers in that class. The data in this study consisted of two types: quantitative data and qualitative data, and the methods of collection were interviews, observations, questionnaires, and exam tests. The results of this development are (1) the Mutamimmah al-Ajurumiyah book with a concept map of the Tony Buzan model, which consists of eight subjects, as well as Indonesian translations, tables, and practice questions, (2) the results of the validation of subject matter experts get 87%. Concept map experts obtained 64%. and the results of the media expert validation got 66%, (3) the Paired samples test results obtained a significant value of p = 0.000 0.05, which indicates that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores on the test scores, meaning that the student's test scores increased significantly after using the developed book.
