Abstract

Petiga Village is known as the center of ornamental plants in Bali Province. However, ornamental plant farmers in this village face various obstacles, one of which is production and marketing. The Government of Tabanan Regency in collaboration with the International Institute of Tourism and Business (IPB) implements a regional development science and technology application program (PIPK) in overcoming the problems. This PIPK activity involves four partner groups, namely: the Guna Sari ornamental plant farmer group, the Mekar Sari KWT institution, the Guna Sari savings and loan cooperative, and the Sekar Pasti Wangi simantri. Through persuasive and educative methods, the PIPK program seeks to overcome the problems of farmers by carrying out activities in the form of: 1) procurement of greenhouses for structuring production stock, 2) procurement of production equipment, 3) training and assistance in cash flow and finance, 4) seminars and assistance in plant and vegetable cultivation and marketing, and 5) manufacture of bio urine installations. The results of interviews showed that the people of Petiga Village, especially the four partner groups gave a positive appreciation for all activities. There is an increase in knowledge related to production and marketing processes for ornamental plant farmers. If calculated from the income of farmers, this PIPK activity was able to increase the income of the partner group by an average of 20%.

Abstract

The inevitable transformations brought about by the rapidly changing Internet of Things (IoT) impact all aspects of life today, including management and businesses. Specifically, areas of businesses depending mainly on internal supply chain capacity are experiencing a paradigm shift to ensure effective company performance regarding purchases, production, company sales, and product distribution. This shift means that challenges faced by the internal chain supply unit can be solved by adopting and adapting IoT as a new way to minimize work delays and save time. Moreover, IoT automatically leads to performance and productivity increases. Therefore, the present paper aims to justify adopting and adapting IoT applications in Indonesian companies, including retail businesses. Most companies’ internal supply chain units face several difficulties during and after the devastating peak of COVID-19, which has led to a total global lockdown. These problems' complexity is exponential and requires innovative ways to solve their prevailing challenges. This study used observation, interview, and documentary research methods through a large-scale survey. The survey obtained the necessary information regarding how companies utilize IoT to improve their performance and productivity without hindering their internal supply chain and production units. Abstract

Desa Petiga dikenal dengan desa agropolitan tanaman hias, karena hampir 90% masyarakatnya bermata pencaharian sebagai petani tanaman hias. Seluruh bagian desa ini ditanamai tanaman hias, sehingga sangat cocok sebagai habitat berbagai jenis hewan terutama lebah madu dan lebah kekela (Trigona Sp.). Keberadaan lebah jenis Trigona Sp. ini sangat melimpah di Desa Petiga karena kondisi geografis sangat mendukung karena sangat kaya akan ragam tanaman berbunga dan hasil pertanian yang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pakan (bee forage), sehingga kebutuhan akan pangan lebah dapat diusahakan sepanjang tahun. Potensi besar ini belum mampu dikembangkan secara maksimal oleh UMKM Madu Petiga karena beberapa hal seperti kurangnya pengetahuan akan budidaya lebah Trigona Sp. serta belum memiliki label kemasan (labelling) produk madu. Melalui program penerapan iptek kepada masyarakat (PIM) berusaha memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra dengan metode Enthrepreneurship Capasity Building (ECB), Technology Transfer (TT), serta menerapkan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG). Dari kegitan PIM ini, 90% anggota kelompok mitra sudah memahami cara membudidayakan lebah Trigona Sp. Melalui praktek langsung di lapangan yang didampingi oleh tim PIM. Selain itu kelompok tanii Madu Petiga telah memiliki loga kemasan madu lebah secara permanen

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang keberlanjutan usaha guest house melalui gaya kepemimpinan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dicocokkan dengan enam karakteristik penelitian kualitatif. Keenam karakteristik tersebut adalah mengeksplorasi suatu masalah dari suatu fenomena, melakukan tinjauan pustaka, mengumpulkan data berdasarkan pengalaman partisipan, berpartisipasi oleh sejumlah kecil individu, dan menulis laporan sederhana. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kec. Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar. Peneliti memilih enam orang informan yang terkait dengan topik sebagai partisipan melalui metode purposing sampling, untuk mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk penelitian saat ini. Hasilnya yakni, keberlanjutan usaha guest house akan menjadi tumpuan pagi peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat Ubud. Penerapan gaya kepemimpinan kolaboratif merupan kunci bagi keberlanjutan usaha guest house di Ubud. Meningkatnya taraf perekonomian masyarakat, khususnya pemilik guest house dan pegawai serta masyarakat sekitar akan mampu menopang segala kegiatan kemasyarakan baik itu atraksi budaya serta adat istiadat juga bisa kembali dilaksanakan. Disamping itu keberlanjutan usaha guest house di Ubud juga akan dapat meningkatkan pengalaman pariwisata bagi para tamu.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe world of tourism is currently very developed and has even become one of the factors driving economic growth. One of the infrastructures driving tourism is the existence of hotels, every industry engaged in providing services and hospitality services must be very good in terms of service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction priority. The check-in process at every hotel is almost the same, but in this digital era, there are still hotels that use the manual method, and the old computerized system which is the cheapest system which makes the check-in process less efficient and effective. Computer problems and weaknesses often occur, such as a slow system, problematic hotel guest room charges, sometimes double paying guests, and the registration process, check-in and check-out are still manual. This is necessary for information system to simplify the work process, solve problems, and speed up the process. Information system design method using SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle). Proses check-in di setiap hotel hampir sama, namun di era digital ini masih ada hotel yang menggunakan cara manual, dan sistem komputerisasi lama yang merupakan sistem termurah yang mengakibatkan proses check-in kurang efisien dan efektif. Permasalahan dan kelemahan komputernya sering terjadi seperti sistem yang masih lambat, room charge tamu hotel yang bermasalah, terkadang tamu double pay, proses registrasi, check-in dan check-out masih manual. Hal ini diperlukan dalam sistem informasi yang baru agar dapat mempermudah proses kerja, menyelesaikan masalah, dan mempercepat proses. Metode perancangan sistem informasi menggunakan SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle). Melalui perancangan sistem informasi ini diharapkan sistem informasi ini akan memenuhi kebutuhan industri saat ini serta dapat mendukung proses bisnis perhotelan apabila diimplementasikan.Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Manajemen, Check-in, Check-out, Akomodasi, Hotel

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the current tourism trend, namely the workcation trend where tourists work while traveling. One alternative tourism that follows the current trend is nomadic tourism. Lodging is a potential tourism sector that needs to be developed into nomadic tourism, considering that digital nomad tourists have a long time to stay and stay in lodgings, this sector is felt to be able to boost tourism sector income. Therefore, this study aims to describe the management of lodging in Ubud Bali as the development of nomadic tourism. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through literature studies and then processed with qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study concluded that the management of inns in Ubud Bali already contains components of nomadic tourism. However, there are several components that still need improvement, namely the management of the nomadic tourism attraction component and nomadic tourism amenities, while the management of the nomadic tourism access component has been going well. This research is expected to be a recommendation material for lodging managers to find components for the development of nomadic tourism which still need to be improved.

Abstract

Saat ini di Indonesia tengah digemparkan dengan penyebaran virus corona (covid-19) yang semakin luas, termasuk provinsi Bali. Sebagai daerah wisata, Bali menerima kunjungan wisatawan baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri cukup besar, otomatis kemungkinan penularan pun bisa tergolong tinggi. Namun pada kenyataannya Pemerintah Provinsi Bali dianggap paling berhasil menekan peredaran virus corona meski tak menerapkan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) seperti yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah daerah-daerah lain. Salah satu indikator keberhasilan adalah persentase pasien yang meninggal di Bali hanya 1,33 persen jauh di bawah rata-rata nasional (7,19 persen) dan global (6,99 persen). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi apa yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah provinsi Bali sehingga berhasil menekan peredaran virus corona ditengah kekhawatiran berbagai pihak karena Bali merupakan destinasi wisata dunia terbesar di Indonesia. Jenis dan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi data sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode interaktif Miles and Huberman. Kesimpulan dari penelitian berupa strategi yang diterapkan pemerintah Provinsi Bali, antara lain dalam mengatasi virus corona, pihak pemerintah bersama desa adat membuat dua kegiatan utama terkait penanganan covid-19, yakni kegiatan secara niskala atau ritual keagamaan sesuai dengan kepercayaan dan kearifan lokal masyarakat Bali serta kegiatan sekala. Selanjutnya faktor lain yang mendukung keberhasilan strategi penanganan penyebaran virus adalah adanya kerja sama seluruh pemangku kepentingan di semua profesi, termasuk tenaga kesehatan. Kerjasama berbagai pihak di Bali tergolong cepat dan kompak, kolaborasi dan komunikasi antara instansi pun cukup baik. Keberhasilan Bali sebagai provinsi yang mampu mengendalikan virus dan telah mendapatkan apresiasi oleh Gugus Tugas Nasional ini juga bisa dijadikan nilai jual untuk pariwisata Indonesia, khususnya Bali.

Abstract

Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu is a tourist destination in Bali. The temple is located in Sebatu Village, Tegallalang, Gianyar Regency. However, unlike most tourist destinations in general, Gunung Kawi Temple is infrequently visited by both foreign and domestic tourists, especially when compared with similar destinations, such as Pura Tirta Empul Tampaksiring. The purpose of this study is to determine the development strategy of “Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu” and the impact of tourist visits on the welfare of community in Sebatu Village. This study used qualitative descriptive approach which aims to describe, record, analyze, and interpret current conditions of Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu. The results from this study is the development strategies of Pura Gunung Kawi relies on some factors such as: the stability of various levels, such as security, comfort, support facilities and infrastructure; the quality and quantity of human resources; partnerships with funding agencies; the linkage function development of tourism activities; increased community participation in tourism development; and programs implementation for effective promotion on an ongoing basis. These stabilities help increase the number of tourist visits, which leads to community’s welfare in the area surrounding Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu.

Abstract

The synergy between tourism education institutions with the government is important to equate the perception that tourism as an independent science is a pride and a challenge for tourism college, including the International Bali Institute of Tourism (STPBI), which organizes vocational education programs. The role of the lecturer becomes very important in this stage. The problems in this research are 1). Does the organizational culture, competence, and compensation affect the job satisfaction of lecturers at STPBI 2). Does the job satisfaction, organizational culture, competence, and compensation affect the loyalty of lecturers at STPBI. This research uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis tools. The result are, organizational culture, competence, and compensation have positive and significant impact on the job satisfaction of lecturers. Job satisfaction, organizational culture and compensation have positive and significant impact on lecturers' loyalty. However, competence has no significant effect on lecturer's loyalty.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Jasri yang dilaksanakan oleh tim dari IPB Internasional, merupakan upaya kolaboratif untuk mengembangkan kemitraan dengan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM, terutama terkait rendahnya akselerasi karyawan terhadap kemajuan teknologi dan kurangnya pemahaman dalam penggunaan perangkat komputer sebagai sarana penunjang kegiatan operasional. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan diskusi praktek dengan media komputer. Penyuluhan memberikan para pelaku UMKM pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang penggunaan perangkat komputer dan aplikasi yang relevan untuk kegiatan operasional. Diskusi praktek dengan media komputer memberikan kesempatan bagi mereka untuk belajar secara praktis tentang penggunaan perangkat komputer dalam pembukuan, pengolahan data, dan dasar-dasar akuntansi UMKM. Dampak dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan para pegawai UMKM dalam mengelola bisnis secara lebih profesional. Meningkatnya kualitas pelayanan dan penguasaan teknologi oleh UMKM membantu mereka memberikan layanan yang lebih efektif dan efisien kepada anggota dan masyarakat pelaku usaha secara keseluruhan.
