Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah keterbatasan pendekatan pembelajaran dalam mengakomodasi kebutuhan siswa yang beragam. Berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat menyesuaikan gaya belajar dan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Elektronik Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (E-LKPD) matematika berbasis liveworksheet dalam menunjang pembelajaran berdiferensiasi bagi siswa SMP, dengan memberikan pengalaman belajar sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan individu siswa. Liveworksheet merupakan platform digital yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat dan berbagi materi pembelajaran interaktif secara online sehingga dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD), dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian ini adalah E-LKPD yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid atau layak, berdasarkan skor validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi yaitu 81,35% yang berada pada kriteria sangat layak. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan E-LKPD diperoleh skor 85,08% dengan kriteria sangat baik. E-LKPD matematika berbasis liveworksheet dikatakan berhasil yang ditinjau dari kelayakan dan kepraktisan dalam menunjang pembelajaran berdiferensiasi

Abstract

The research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence on mathematical problem solving abilities between students who receive the work-example method using gesture tracing and students who use the work-example method without using gesture tracing. The population in this study was 68 students of SMA Negeri 1 Ciomas for the 2023/2024 academic year and the sample for this research was 68 students of class XI Science-1 and class XI Science-3. This type of research is quantitative research. The data used is the KAM test and the KPMM test with 5 questions. After the screening test is carried out, the data is declared Normal and Homogeneous, then the data can be carried out further tests. The results of data analysis of mathematical problem solving abilities in the work-example learning method using gesture tracing were an average of 74.68 with a standard deviation of 9.905 and in the works-example learning method without using gesture tracing the average was 61.21 with a standard deviation of 9.803. To test the hypothesis, it was concluded that the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who were taught using the works-example learning method using gesture tracing were better than students who were taught using the works-example learning model without using gesture tracing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Canva as a learning medium on students' interest and academic performance in Indonesian language subjects at Grade V of SD Negeri Sukasari 5, Tangerang City. The urgency of this study arises from the need for innovative learning media to enhance student motivation and understanding. A quantitative approach was used with a Quasi-Experimental Research design, involving two groups: class Va as the experimental group using Canva and class Vb as the control group with conventional methods. Data were collected through questionnaires and post-tests. Validity tests using SPSS 25 showed that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.683). The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed in both groups, while the homogeneity test confirmed the data's uniformity. Multivariate analysis (MANOVA) results indicated significant effects (p < 0.05) across all indicators (Pillai’s Trace, Wilks’ Lambda, Hotelling’s Trace, Roy’s Largest Root), leading to the acceptance of Hₐ. Findings revealed that Canva significantly improved students' learning interest and academic performance. This study contributes to the development of digital media-based learning strategies to enhance the quality of primary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakang dari hasil observasi yang diketahui rendahnya tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa di SDN Jatigintung I dan SDN Tegal Kunir Kidul I. Hal ini menyebabkan para siswa mengalami ksesulitan untuk mengerjakan tugas, para siswa tidak memiliki kemauan untuk mengajukan pertanyaan bagaimana dan mengapa atas masalah yang ditemukan. Selain itu terdapat kebanyakan siswa yang tidak terlibat di dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Game Tournament (TGT) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa SD di Gugus 047 Kecamatan Mauk. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dari dua kelompok yang diberikan perlakuan berbeda. Jumlah populasi adalah semua siswa SD kelas 3 di Gugus 047 Kecamatan Mauk Kabupaten Tangerang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas 3A terdiri dari 22 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 3B terdiri dari 22 orang sebagai kelas kontrol pada SDN Jatigintung I dan kelas 3A terdiri dari 22 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 3B terdiri dari 22 orang sebagai kelas kontrol pada SDN Tegal Kunir Kidul I. Instrumen menggunakan lembar soal dan angket dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Manova. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) mengalami peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Selain itu, pada kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) mengalami peningkatan motivasi siswa, dan secara bersamaan pada kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) mengalami peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

The Kurikulum Merdeka policy has been implemented extensively in Indonesia since 2022, with one of its focuses being the integration of culture in teaching and learning. Several studies have been conducted on the integration of ethnosciences in science education. However, so far, there have been very few studies that attempt to review the results of the analysis of these articles. Therefore, this study aims to analyze a number of articles related to research on the topic of ethnosciences in science education as an implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka policy, in order to classify them based on predetermined categories. This study utilizes the systematic literature review (SLR) method, which includes the stages of data search and article collection, article screening, assessment of the quality and suitability of scientific articles, and analysis and data classification. Based on these stages, six scientific articles were obtained, published in six SINTA-accredited journals with a focus on education and published between 2022 and 2023. The results of the quality assessment indicate that four out of the six articles meet the criteria for suitability. Thus, these articles can be considered as sources of information related to research on the topic of ethnosciences in science education as an implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka policy. The classification has been conducted based on Indonesian culture integrated into science education, educational levels, subjects, and forms of integration of ethnosciences in science education.

Abstract

Mastery of arithmetic operations is fundamental for students pursuing science education, as these skills are essential in solving complex problems in physics, chemistry, and biology. However, gaps in students' arithmetic proficiency can hinder their academic and professional development. This study aims to examine the arithmetic skills of pre-service science teachers in solving mathematical problems across six domains: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponentiation, and mixed operations. A total of 37 short-answer questions were administered, and the results were analyzed by domain. The findings indicate that students demonstrate proficiency in basic operations involving whole numbers, particularly in addition and subtraction. However, challenges persist in the areas of fractions, decimals, and mixed operations, where accuracy rates were notably lower. These gaps in understanding may affect students' ability to apply mathematical concepts in their science courses and future teaching roles. The study's limitations include a focus on quantitative results without exploring the cognitive processes behind student errors. Future research should investigate intervention strategies to address these weaknesses, potentially through targeted instructional approaches or the use of technology to enhance learning outcomes

Abstract

The reserch aims to understanding the phenomena of differences in mathematical problem-solving ability between students who obtained worked-example and expository learning method when reviewed from students’ initial ability. This study was a quasi-experimental with treatment by level 2×2 research design. We analize the data used two-way analysis of variance. We found that (1) There were differences in mathematical problem-solving ability between students who obtained worked-example and expository learning method. (2) There were differences in mathematical problem-solving ability between students who had high and low initial ability. (3) In high initial ability, students who obtained expository and worked-example learning method were relatively the same. (4) In low initial ability, students who obtained worked-example learning method were better than expository. (5) There was an interaction between learning method and initial ability in mathematical problem-solving ability.Penelitian yang dilakukan ingin memahami fenomena perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran worked-example dan ekspositori ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain treatment by level 2×2. Penlitian ini menggunana analisis variansi dua jalan untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa (1) Ada kemampuan yang berbeda pada pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran worked-example dan ekspositori; (2) Ada perbedaan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal tinggi dan rendah; (3) Pada siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi, relatif tidak ada perbedaan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya; baik siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran ekspositori dan worked-example; (4) Pada kemampuan dengan awal rendah, ada perbedaan dan siswa dengan metode pembelajaran worked-example lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang belajar dengan ekspositori, dilihat dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis; (5) Terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.

Abstract

This study aimed to explain the effect of CORE (connecting, organizing, reflecting, and expanding) learning with a metacognitive approach on students’ mathematical connections in terms of preliminary knowledge in mathematics (PKM). The method in this study used a quasi-experimental with a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study consisted of all students at one of junior high schools in Indonesia. The sample was divided into two types: class VIII A as an experimental class with 13 students and class VIII B as a control class with 14 students. The instruments used in this study were essay tests to measure students' mathematical connection abilities and interview guidelines. Data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance. This study's results indicate a linear relationship between PKM and mathematical connection abilities. There is an effect of PKM on students' mathematical connection abilities. There is a simultaneous effect between PKM and the learning model; in other words, there is an interaction between PKM and the learning model. The CORE learning model with a metacognitive approach is more suitable for high PKM, and the scientific model is more suitable for low PKM.

Abstract

Low learning results, learning motivation, and student confidence are frequently encountered when teaching mathematics in junior high school. To address these issues, it is vital to use learning methods that are appropriate for the student's qualities. The purpose of this study is to investigate and compare the impact of different learning strategies, such as video modelling examples, worked-examples, and practice problems, on students' self-efficacy, motivation, and learning outcomes in the cognitive parts of mathematics teaching. This study used a quantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental design. The study involved eighth-grade pupils from a junior high school in Serang City, who were divided into three classes and given different learning techniques. A learning outcomes exam, a self-efficacy questionnaire, and a motivation survey were used to collect data. To identify significant differences between groups, the obtained data were evaluated using a t-test, one-way ANOVA, and a post hoc Tukey HSD test. The study found that the three strategies had a substantial impact on self-efficacy, motivation, and learning results in the cognitive domain. The practice problem method is more effective at boosting self-efficacy, the video modelling example at raising learning motivation, and the worked example at enhancing learning results in cognitive areas. These findings emphasize the necessity of selecting instructional approaches that are consistent with the targeted learning objectives. Future research should look into the effectiveness of these methods across different topic areas, grade levels, or in combination with other pedagogical approaches to acquire a more complete knowledge of their effects.
