The liver which were not  infested with F. gigantica showed sharp edges and a very high degree of elasticity. On the other hand, in the infested liver was found F. gigantica in the bile duct and showed a color of pale, the dark brown exudate as well as objects looks like gravel. The buffaloes sample were supplied to the abattoir from the paddy fields or oil palm plantations area. In comparison, the buffaloes raised in both areas were not different on the pathological changes of liver. In conclusion, this study showed that simeulue’s buffalo is very prevalence to F. gigantica.

Used include data Economic Growth, Inflation, Interest Rates and Investment from 2000 to 2018.Based on the results of SPSS calculations, the authors have an influence on investment in Jambi Province because of F count (0.300)> F table (4.12) then ho is rejected or different from zero. This means that all regression coefficients or economic growth, inflation and interest rates together have the same effect on investment in Jambi Province. From the results of the analysis in this study, it can be concluded, together with the variables of economic growth, inflation and interest rates affect investment. Individually, the variable economic growth, inflation and interest rates can affect investment, which has the greatest influence on investment in Jambi Province.

Abstract

This research aim to study the effect of curry leavesaddition in extracts form with different concentration and storage time to the total microbes on fresh beef. This study use beef sample obtained from Lambaro Market Aceh Besar. The sample was divided into 36 sections, each wieght 25 grams and curry leaf extracts add with 0%, 25% and 50%concentrations, and were stored at 4-10oC. Microbiological examination of beef using pour plate method. Observations were made every 3 days in day 0, 3, 6 and 9. Measured parameters is total bacteria (CFU / gr). Data processing is using analysis of variance and the significantly different results tested with Duncan Test. Observation total of microbes on day 0 the concentration of 0% (without the addition of curry leaf extract), 25% and 50% was 2.7 x 102 CFU / gr, 2.2 x102 CFU / gr and 6.8 x101. It still can be consumed because it is still below the safety zone1x104 CFU / gr accordance with SNI 01-6366-2000 (SNI 2008). Meanwhile the observations at 0% concentration after 3 days already exceeded the standard of SNI 4.2 x106 cfu / gr. Meat with 50% curry leaf extract addition is still safe to eat up to day 9. Interaction effect between the concentration and the curry leaf extract addition and storage timeto the total microbe is not significantly different (P 0.01). Curry leaf extract addition and storage time factors is very significant (P 0.01) to the total microbes. These results indicated that curry leaf effective  into a preservative against fresh meat.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the estimation accuracy of stray dogs population using video camera equipped with software of animal perception of seismic phenomena (APSP) and manually observation which counting the number of biting cases by rabies-risk animals (RRA) in four sub-districts of Banda Aceh (grouped as highest and lowest reported biting cases). This study was conducted by direct observation and counting the number of stray dogs around rubbish bin at night (10.00-12.00 pm) in each sub-district, the counting was repeated 3 times at the same time on different day. The data was analyzed using world society for the protection of animals (WSPA) methods. Overall, the results showed that the number of stray dogs around rubbish bin in four sub-districts were highest based on manual counting method as compared to counting by using video camera equipped with APSP software. The numbers of stray dogs were high in the sub-districts with higher reported bitting cases by RRA. As conclusion, counting of stray dogs by using manual methods is still more reliable than using video camera equipped with APSP software.Key words: rabies, stray dogs, population, software APSP

Abstract

This study aimed to determine early spoilage of beef after addition of curry leaf extract. The sample used is beef Semimembranosus muscle which is divided into 42 parts each weight is 5 grams. This research used experimental method which consists of three treatments with two repetitions. P1 group is without curry leaf extract (control), group P2 with curry leaf extract 25% used and group P3 with curry leaf extract 50%. The entire sample is stored in a refrigerator at 4 ° C. For 7 days early spoilage test is conducted every day at 9am and 4pm. The result showed difference early spoilage time between each treatment. In P1 positive result of early spoilage time is on the 4th day and P2 positive result of early spoilage time is on the 5th day. While in P3 has not obtained positive result of early spoilage time at 7 days storage. Based on the results of this study we concluded that curry leaf extract can slow down the early spoilage time of beef

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of fermented kelor leaves (Moringa oleifera) flour as additive in animal feed to increase the weight of boiler carcass. The samples used were 28 DOC strain Cobb CP-707 aged 1 day. This study was conducted using one way pattern complete randomized design with 4 treatments and 7 replications. Control group (P0) was fed with commercial feed; P1 was given 5% fermented kelor leaves flour;  P2 was given 7,5% fermented kelor leaves flour; and P3 was given 10% concentration of fermented kelor leaves flour. Feed replacement was conducted on 08.00 am and 5.00 pm everyday, and water was given ad libitum. Chemical content of flour before and after fermented was analyzed at Research Centre of Biotechnology and Biological Resources, IPB. Body weight measurement was carried out at Veterinary Public Health Laboratorium. Data were analyzed using ANOVA with SPSS 16.0. Mean value (±SD) of carcass weight for P0, P1, P2, and P3 were 938,71±180,83, 1011,86±101,64, 1010,71±126,69, and 907,43±190,35, respectively. This study showed that adddition of fermented kelor leaves flour for 21 days did not affect (P0,05) the weight of broilers carcass.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to calculate an estimated population of dogs, dog population ratio comparison against their area, the household, the number of owners, and the gender as well as to find out the level of knowledge towards risk of rabies to dog owners at Jorong in Padang Ganting Sub-district. The respondents were the people at 4 jorong Padang Ganting Sub-district who kept the dogs at home and willing to be interviewed. This research was conducted in the form of field surveys. Data was collected by interviewing people who rose the dogs using a form and a structured questionnaire. Data retrieval was composed of secondary and primary data. The results showed that the population of dogs at 4 ellipse were the ellipse Koto Gadang Hilir, Koto Alam, Koto Gadang, Rajo Dani were 140, 117, 124, 115. There were any differences between the number of households with dog owners, the number of households with dogs, the number of dogs with owners dogs, and area with dogs, male and female dogs, a male dog with dog owners, a female dog with dog owners. Respondents generally maintained more than one dog with rearing cages. The purpose of maintenance dog was a hunting dog and gave the vaccination.
