Abstract

The purpose of research analyzes misconceptions of students in understanding the material stairght motion and parabolic motion in class X SMAN 1 Padang. This type of research was descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population this research was all students class X SMAN 1 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year. The sampling in this research taken with purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research consisted of five classes. The research instrument was a multipe choice FCI test question with open reasons accompanied by CRI. The result of anlyziz data gotten that avrage of misconceptions was 67,5%, unknowing was 22,86%, knowing was 8,42%, knowing but not sure was 1,29%. The froms of misconception experienced by students are: 1) heavy bals faster than light balls, 2) the greater the gravitational force if it approaches the ground or the surface of the earth, 3) the acceleration of the beam b is greater than the beam  a  because when beam a was on the five line beam B was on seven line. The causes of misconceptions are associative thinking, humanistic thinking, wrong intuisi, incomplete/ wrong reasoning, cognitive development, students abilities, and student experience.

Abstract

Learning physics cannot be carried out simply by memorizing, listening, and seeing without experiencing. Physics learning requires students to be able to think critically, creatively, have problem solving skills, and be able to make decisions. In order for students to get meaningful lessons in physics, they need to find their own concepts to be understood. This can be achieved by using an appropriate learning model. One learning model that can be used is guided inquiry. This study aimed to determine the validity of HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model of static fluid learning material. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The development steps carried out by Borg and Gall. The instrument used in the study was the validity test sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis.Based on the data analysis, the results show that the HOTS-oriented worksheet in the guided inquiry model on static fluid learning material has a high validity value of 86.65. It means, the learning materials are ready to use in learning process.

Abstract

Achievement of student learning outcomes in learning Physics is still not as expected. The reason is there are several factors such as the lack of books as learning resources that support students' knowledge and insights beyond the knowledge taught in school. Like an enrichment book, which contains facts about learning so that it helps students better understand learning. In addition, there is no electrical book (E-Book) as the use of technology in science to support learning activities that have an impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, speculation the solution to this problem is the giving of Motion Theme Physics Enrichment E-Books to students of SMAN 2 Padang. This study aims to determine the effect and relationship of E-Book Enrichment of Motion Theme Physics on Student Learning Outcomes Class X of SMAN 2 Padang.The type of research applied was quasi-experimental research with the research scheme Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this studys were all students of class X SMAN 2 Padang who were register in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Sampling for research is done by combining purposive sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The sample in this study were 72 students from class X MIPA 2 as an experimental class and class X MIPA 3 as a control class. The research instrument consisted of a demonstration assessment sheet of critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and two average similarity tests.The results showed that there was an influence on student learning outcomes which was significant from the giving of the Motion Theme Physics Enrichment E-Book and there was a significant correlation of the giving of the Motion Theme Physics Enrichment E-Book to student learning outcomes for knowledge and skill competencies at the 0.05 level. It can be seen in the analysis of the data, that for knowledge competencies and skills the value of th is in the rejection area of Ho which means that student learning outcomes experience significant differences for the two competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the differences of student’s critical and creative thinking skills enhancement after application of problem-solving worksheet and guided inquiry worksheet for student on heat material and gas kinetic theory in 11th grade students in SMAN 2 Padang. The type of this research is quasi experiment with randomize only control group design. This study involved two experiment class, the first one used problem-solving worksheet and the second class used guided inquiry worksheet. Data collection technique were written test using essay question model. The assessment is based on critical and creative thinking skills indicators that’s observable. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The result showed that after application, there are enhancement on critical and creative thinking skills. Problem solving class is 50% and guided inquiry class is 63%. Based on this study, it can be concluded that: first, critical and creative thinking skills of both classes were increased after the application of problem-solving worksheet and guided inquiry worksheet. Second, the average mark for critical and creative thinking skills on problem solving class is higher than guided inquiry class. Third, there are some differences in the enhancement of critical and creative thinking skills of student who used problem solving worksheet compared to guided inquiry worksheet.

Abstract

The purpose of Indonesian education is to develop capabilities and shape dignified national character and civilization. In line with the objectives of Indonesian education, education today must be able to produce highly competitive human resources. The reality at school shows that there is still a low percentage of students in achieving the Minimum Completion Criteria set. The low student learning outcomes are caused by several factors, among others, the students' initial knowledge is less attention, the lack of teachers explaining real problems in daily life, teachers rarely involve students actively in problem-solving, and inadequate school laboratory facilities. The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of the use of the Virtual Laboratory Student Worksheet in the Problem Solving Learning Model on the competency of class X students at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with pretest and posttest. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The instrument for collecting data consists of written test sheets for knowledge competencies and performance assessment sheets for skills competencies. Data from the study were analyzed by analysis of two-way ANOVA. Based on data analysis it can be stated that the use of the Virtual Laboratory Student Worksheet in the Problem Solving learning model has had a significant influence on the competency of the knowledge and skills of class X students at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The conclusion of the results of this study is that there is a significant effect of the application of virtual laboratory Student Worksheet in the problem-solving learning model towards the competency of class X students of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires that physics learning be carried out completely and well using a variety of learning resources. The reality in physics learning schools has not been implemented properly, teachers have not fully implemented the learning process using problem solving learning models, teachers have not used worksheets that are in accordance with the 2013 curriculum and the integration of 21st century skills students have not been fully implemented, especially critical thinking skills. One solution to this problem is to create a problem solving worksheet based on achieving critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to produce worksheet based on valid and practical problem solving. Research conducted includes the type of Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research is the Problem Solving Based Worksheet on wave material. The steps of this research are six stages, starting from recognizing potentials and problems, gathering information, designing products, validating products, revising products and to testing products with limited testing. The tools to collect data are validity sheets from experts and practicality sheets from physics subject teachers, as well as practicality sheets from class XI students of SMAN 3 Pariaman. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis for product validation and clarity. Based on data analysis from the research that has been done can be presented two research results. First, the worksheet based problem solving in wave material is very valid with an average value of validity of 88.45. Second, worksheet based problem solving on wave material is very practical with an average value of practicality of teachers and students of 88 and 89.44. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on problem solving in class XI wave material SMA / MA is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that often experiences natural disasters. Disaster mitigation efforts that must be done is to add knowledge and understanding of disasters through education. Appropriate subjects to be integrated with disaster material are Physics subjects. Physics learning integrated with Tsunami material is well suited to be applied in Indonesia, especially in the West Sumatra region. The implementation of the 2013 curriculum depends on the implementation of the Content Standards which provide a gap to integrate Physics material with the Tsunami material and the Standards for Facilities and Infrastructure, namely textbooks. There is a need to develop textbooks that are integrated with Tsunami material. But before integrating Tsunami material with Physics material, there needs to be an analysis to see the Physics material that is suitable to be integrated with Tsunami material. This study aims to determine the level of compatibility of Physics material in high school / MA class X physics textbooks with Tsunami material. This type of research is a descriptive study. The population in this study were all textbooks for Class X High School Physics Physics published in Indonesia. The sample in this study was the 2016 revised edition of the X grade high school physics textbook published by Erlangga. The data in this study were taken using assessment instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies.The findings of this study indicate that the level of compatibility of Physics material with Tsunami material in Physics textbooks for SMA / MA class X semester 1 for KD 3.1 is not suitable (27%), KD 3.2 is not suitable (27%), KD 3.3 is suitable kurag (33%) , KD 3.4 is quite suitable (53%), KD 3.5 is not suitable (20%) and KD 3.6 is not appropriate (20%). The level of suitability of Physics material with Tsunami material in the Physics textbook of SMA / MA class X semester 2 for KD 3.7 is quite appropriate (47%), KD 3.8 is less appropriate (27%), KD 3.9 is quite appropriate (47%), KD 3.10 is quite appropriate (60%), and KD 3.11 are not appropriate (20%).

Abstract

Curriculum emphasizes student-centered learning process, teachers are required to guide and facilitate the students so that students are motivated to learn well in school and outside. In order to the learning process goes well we need a learning model that can support that learning. In this case web-based learning social media design can increase the activity of students in the learning process and improve good student interaction with teachers, classmates and the subject matter. That way the students can be expected to increase physical competence. The purposes of this research was to investigate the effect web based learning social media design to the competency of Physics students grade X at SMAN 1 Kubung Solok. Type of research was quasi experimental with randomized control group only design. The population in this research were the students grade X MIA SMAN I Kubung Solok who were registered in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling technique was Cluster Random sampling. There were three instruments in this research, those were test sheet of knowledge domain, observation sheet of attitude domain, and performance sheet of skill domain. Based on the data analysis could be presented the result of this research. First, the average value of students which use web based learning social media design  in knowledge domain, attitude domain, and skill domain were 87.52, 90.52, and 86.90 respectively. Second, the use of web based learning social media design has given significant effect toward Physics competency of students grade X SMAN 1 Kubung Solok at 0,05 signifacation level

Abstract

      The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to encourage students to think at a higher level and possess higher-order thinking skills known as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). To achieve this the teacher must consciously and continuously practice using learning strategies with an orientation to training students to think at a higher level. This relates to the learning components that must be prepared by the teacher such as learning models, learning media, and teaching materials. One of the aids for students is teaching materials in the form of worksheets. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population of data in this study is the entire semester X semester I high school physics textbook used by 23 schools in West Sumatra. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was the highest school physics class X 1-semester worksheet used by schools published by two different publishers and four worksheets made by Physics teachers in the school where the worksheet was used. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Analysis conducted on the Physics Worksheets for Class X Senior High School Semester I related to the availability of HOTS components obtained the results of the analysis that LKS who obtained a percentage with the fullness of indicators on the highest HOTS component namely LKS made by high school subject teachers 12 Padang 39%. Whereas the Physics Worksheet that received a percentage of the fulfillment of indicators on the lowest HOTS component was the Worksheet published by CV Grahadi 14%.

Abstract

The achievment of Students Competence still becomes a problem that is caused by several factors. Therefore this research is conducted to give solution. The solution is using interactive electronic teaching material based character value with scientific approach that aims to improve student holistic competence in tenth garde of SMA N 13 Padang. The type of this research is quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The sample of this research is taken using cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis techniques are adescription in graphic form for character competences, equality test of two averages for skill and knowledge competences. The result of this research shows that the average value study result competences and observation of experiment class is higher than control class in all sectors. The data analysis result of sample class is normaly distributed and homogenous thus it is used t-test with ttable = 2,00. The averages of skill competences in experiment class is 78,03 and control class is 72,88 statisticaly tcount=4,93, the averages of knowledge competences in experiment class is 76,84 and control class is 66,72 statisticaly tcount = 7,21, the averages of skill competences in experiment class 69,54 and control class is 61,03 statisticaly tcount =3,52. From t-test, it can be seen that tcount < ttable so that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an significant impact on the using of interactive electronic teaching material based character  with scientific approach  on work and energy  to the achievement holistic competence of student is 0,05.
