Abstract

Membaca bagi mahasiswa tidak hanya sekedar kewajiban tetapi juga kebutuhan. Melalui membaca samudera pengetahuan yang luas dapat dijelajahi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis indeks minat baca mahasiswa baru program studi PGSD Universitas Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru dengan jumlah 342 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, wawancara terbuka, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca mahasiswa termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan indikator intensitas membaca rendah, tingkat kunjungan ke perpustakaan rendah dan minat meminjam buku juga rendah.

Abstract

Student lecture journals are a form of development of notebooks that are commonly used by elementary, middle and high school students. Lecture journals contain a summary of lectures in one day and are made more systematically accompanied by a clear format. But the use of lecture journals at the tertiary level is still very low. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see whether the use of lecture journals can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research chosen is quantitative to see the significance of the use of the control class and the experimental class. Data will be tested using t-independent test. T test results show that lecture journals can influence student learning outcomes. To see the enhancements used the formula test-gain / normalized gain. Based on the results of the calculation of the gain-test / normalized gain it can be seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes for the experimental class using lecture journals in learning by 22.67%. Whereas students who did not use lecture journals increased learning outcomes by only 14.6%. This shows that student learning outcomes can be improved if students use lecture journals in the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of these community services activities was to solve the problem of writing references and bibliography for students who start writing their thesis. To achieve this purpose, community service is carried out in several stages, namely the preparation of webinars, Mendeley-based Automatic Reference Management webinars and evaluation of webinar activities. Preparation of webinar activities including coordination, preparation of zoom accounts and flyers for students, then the Mendeley-based Automatic Reference Management webinar as the core activity of this community service. The webinar evaluation is carried out by posttest. The service activities that have been carried out are considered successful shown by activities that have been done, the enthusiasm of the participants is quite high and the insight into writing references and making student bibliography increases. This is evident from the time the webinar activity was according to plan, the webinar participants reached 96 students and the posttest results showed that students' understanding of automatic reference management had increased by up to 77.5%.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of elementary school (SD) children in Karang Sidemen Village, North Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency through the "All Smart Children" Program which trains teachers regarding the urgency of learning basic literacy and numeracy for children. , and how to teach basic literacy and numeracy using the TaRL (Teaching at the Right Level) method. The activity is carried out in stages, namely 1) Coordination meeting, 2) Simulation of material presentation, 3) Preparation of activity logistics, 4) Implementation of workshop activities consisting of 2 waves, and 5) Evaluation of success indicators seen from the increase in scores on pretest-posttest which are grouped into 4 levels. There are differences in the characteristics of low-grade teachers and high-grade teachers during the training activities. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, it is known that there are 24 out of 31 participants who experienced an increase in level. Workshop activities can be considered quite successful with the percentage of success of training activities in general is 77.41%.

Abstract

Accuracy of perception is the ability of individuals to recognize, organize, and interpret input from the environment and it is influenced by the level of individuals’ concentration on observing an object. When we can find out the causes of individual perceptual accuracy, we can design a learning instrument to enhance this ability. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of r`eward on the accuracy of pupils' perceptions. The study employs a comparative experimental approach, in which 20 subjects are divided into two groups: 10 subjects were promised rewards and 10 subjects were not. The accuracy of perception is measured by the length of time used by subjects when completing two different levels of tests. The more time required by subjects to complete the test, the more inaccurate perceptions of research subjects. To test hypotheses, the researcher performed the Split-Plot Anova technique on the subject's length of time completing the tests. The result shows that the p-value is 0.115, greater than 0.05 which means that there was no influence of giving rewards on the accuracy of perception.Kecermatan persepsi merupakan kemampuan individu dalam mengenali, mengorganisasikan, serta memaknai hal-hal yang berada di lingkungan sekitar dan dipengaruhi oleh tingkat konsentrasi individu dalam mengamati suatu objek. Ketika kita dapat mengetahui penyebab kecermatan persepsi yang dimiliki individu, kita dapat merancang sebuah instrumen pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pemberian penghargaan terhadap kecermatan persepsi peserta didik. Penelitian yang menggunakan kaidah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen komparasi ini membagi 20 subyek ke dalam dua kelompok yaitu 10 subyek yang dijanjikan reward dan 10 subyek tidak dijanjikan reward. Kecermatan persepsi subyek diukur dengan tes yang diberikan sebanyak dua kali menggunakan instrumen yang berbeda dengan memperhatikan lama waktu subyek menyelesaikan tes. Semakin banyak waktu yang dibutuhkan oleh subyek dalam menyelesaikan tes, semakin tidak cermat persepsi subyek penelitian. Data rentang waktu subyek dalam mengerjakan tes dianalisis dengan teknik Split-Plot Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh adalah 0,115 lebih besar dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh antara pemberian penghargaan dengan kecermatan persepsi yang dimiliki subyek.

Abstract

During learning from home activities, students spend more time at home and the most common activity is playing. In the new normal era, students are used to playing so they need additional time to focus on teaching and learning activities. One of the efforts that can be made by educators in overcoming this problem is to develop a game that involves educational content that can make students more active. Therefore, this study aims to develop a monopoly game-based learning media with the aim that students become more active in participating in teaching and learning activities. This research is a development research and the development model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The results of the development show that the monopoly game-based learning media is feasible and effective to be used as a learning medium as the validation results from media experts who get a percentage of 81%, validation results by material experts with a percentage of 86%, and the responses of students in small groups who obtain a percentage of 85%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of the concept of prospective elementary school teacher students on static fluid material assisted by android games. The Android game used is Water Physics Simulation. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the samples used are class 5E as the experimental class and class 5H as the control class. The experimental class learns the concepts of static fluid with the help of Android games and the control class learns the concepts of static fluid as usual, namely conventionally (lectures via webmeeting). Data regarding the understanding of the concept of static fluid for elementary school teacher candidates were obtained by tests (pretest and posttest) which were then analyzed by independent sample t-test and normalized gain test. The results showed that the experimental class after being given treatment had a higher understanding of the static fluid concept than the control class. So, from this study it was found that the Android Water Physics Simulation Game was effective in improving the understanding of the concept of static fluid for elementary school teacher candidates.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the readiness of elementary school teachers and identify the obstacles faced by teachers in teaching basic literacy skills during the COVID-19 pandemic in 4 (four) areas in Central Lombok Regency. The areas studied are Selebung Village, Batukliang District, Setiling Village, North Batukliang District, Darek Village, Southwest Praya District, and Kuta Village, Pujut District, all of which are located in Central Lombok Regency, NTB. This study is qualitative research in which data were obtained from interviews with elementary school teachers in 4 (four) areas in Central Lombok. The data obtained were then described and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that educators or teachers experienced several obstacles in teaching basic literacy skills in elementary schools in Central Lombok during the pandemic. The obstacles faced by these educators include limited learning media and teaching materials, ineffective learning time, and a less supportive learning atmosphere, many educators are bothered by many other activities, it is difficult to motivate students to learn, as well as from the realm of evaluation, educators have limitations in providing instruments or tools for evaluating learning outcomes, especially basic literacy skills.

Abstract

Learning from home activities during covid pandemic are mostly carried out online by using smartphone devices and generally, the embedded operating system is Android. The existence of these smartphones makes students tend to spend more time watching videos or playing games. Educators must try to restore the enthusiasm of students in learning. One of the efforts that can be done by educators is through gamification or integrating learning materials into a game. Therefore, this study aims to develop a game based on the Android operating system about the flags of countries in the world as an additional medium for educators in teaching material on the sub-theme of globalization and its benefits for elementary school students in grade VI (six). This research is development research with the development model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The results of the development show that the Android game guessing the images of the flags of countries in the world is suitable for use as a medium of learning in elementary schools on the sub-theme of globalization and its benefits as the validation results from media experts with a percentage of 81%, validation results from material experts with a percentage of 83%, as well as the response of students in small groups using the Android game (game) guess the pictures of the flags of the countries in the world with a percentage of 78%.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship learning and support for the family environment give positive impact in building students' knowledge, interest and skills in the field of entrepreneurship so that they can produce graduates who are creative, innovative,productive,reliable,quality, independent, self-controlled and competitive.This study aims to determine the influence of knowledge and family environment on student entrepreneurial attitudes.This study is a descriptive exploratory study with 56 respondents as students of biology education at Mandalika University of Education.The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire with degraded answers according to the likert scale and has been validated (expert validation).The research data analysis used was inferential statistics with multiple linear regression at 5% significance level.The results of the study  showed that (1) the knowledge and attitudes of student entrepreneurship had a percentage of 88.00% and 78.35% in the Very Good category,while environmental support had a percentage of 68.20 in Good category; (2)there is an effect of knowledge and family environment on student entrepreneurial attitudes (F=7,245 p=0,0020,05); (3) knowledge and family environment simultaneously affect the entrepreneurial attitude of students by 21,5% and the remaining is influenced by other variables or factors (R square=0,215). Therefore it can be concluded that the collaboration of student knowledge about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial family environment activities has a positive role in developing student entrepreneurial attitudes.
