Abstract

Proses pendaftaran sidang Munaqasyah pada Program Studi Ilmu Komputer UIN Sumatera Utara sebelumnya dilakukan secara manual melalui Google Form, sehingga admin harus menyusun undangan dan berita acara secara terpisah untuk setiap mahasiswa. Alur ini memakan waktu, rentan kesalahan pencatatan, serta menyulitkan verifikasi dan pengelolaan data pendaftaran. Penelitian ini mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Pendaftaran Sidang berbasis web yang mengintegrasikan seluruh proses administrasi, mulai dari pendaftaran, unggah dokumen, verifikasi, penjadwalan, hingga pembuatan otomatis undangan dan berita acara. Metode pengembangan menggunakan Extreme Programming dengan tahapan perencanaan, desain, pengkodean, serta pengujian berulang agar sistem dapat beradaptasi sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa waktu pemrosesan dokumen yang sebelumnya memakan berjam-jam dapat diselesaikan dalam hitungan menit, seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai kebutuhan, serta meningkatkan efisiensi kerja admin, kemudahan bagi mahasiswa, dan kerapian pengelolaan jadwal serta penilaian bagi dosen. Implementasi sistem ini terbukti meningkatkan efektivitas layanan administrasi sidang Munaqasyah dengan akurasi data yang lebih baik dan proses yang lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong institusi pendidikan untuk mengadopsi sistem administrasi yang lebih efisien dan terintegrasi. Proses rekrutmen asisten laboratorium di Program Studi Ilmu Komputer sebelumnya dilakukan secara manual melalui Google Form dan via WhatsApp, yang mengakibatkan data yang tidak teratur, sulitnya mengetahui status seleksi, serta keterlambatan rekapitulasi laporan akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem informasi rekrutmen asisten laboratorium berbasis web menggunakan metode Waterfall. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan rekrutmen dari sisi admin sebesar 66,67%, dengan waktu rekapitulasi nilai berkurang dari rata-rata tiga hari menjadi satu hari, serta mengurangi beban kerja administratif secara signifikan melalui otomasi proses. Dari sisi pendaftar, efisiensi proses pendaftaran dan pelacakan status meningkat sekitar 50% dibanding metode sebelumnya, berkat integrasi fitur pendaftaran akun, unggah dokumen, dan pemantauan status secara real-time. Sistem ini terbukti mempercepat alur seleksi, meminimalkan risiko duplikasi data, serta meningkatkan transparansi informasi bagi semua pihak yang terlibat.

Abstract

Tourism in Samosir Regency has significant potential as a key sector in North Sumatra Province; however, there is an imbalance in the number of visitors across various tourist sites. This study aims to develop a decision support system for identifying and prioritizing tourist destinations based on accessibility and traveler preferences by integrating Geographic Information System (GIS) and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) using the Analytical Network Process (ANP) approach. The system utilizes both spatial and non-spatial data to map tourist locations and determine priorities based on relevant criteria such as accessibility, distance, cost, attractiveness, and safety. The results show that Bukit Sibea-Bea emerges as the leading tourist destination with the highest priority weight (12.45%), followed by Godang Beach and Paromasan. The web-based system provides not only accurate geographical information but also recommends the best tourist destinations based on traveler preferences, making it a useful tool for more targeted and equitable tourism planning and development in Samosir Regency.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to create an information system for registering Munaqasyah or Colloquium hearings by combining Cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies based on a decision support system. In this study, AI is used to select thesis research fields in order to recommend examiners who are suitable for the students' research topics and to schedule student munaqasyah hearings in a structured and automated manner. Cloud computing is useful for storing all examination requirements, minutes, etc. on a cloud platform that supports the process in real time. The system was developed using a phased Cloud-AI approach, namely planning, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation repeatedly. This system was created using a web platform and combines students' final assignments and lecturers' expertise as a basis for decision making. The research results show that this system can support more efficient examination registration and provide accurate recommendations for examiners and automatic scheduling. With the integration of Cloud-AI in this system, academic administration management can be more effective, and services for students and the management of munaqasyah examinations in the Computer Science study program can be improved. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat sistem informasi untuk pendaftaran sidang Munaqasyah atau Kolokium dengan menggabungkan teknologi Cloud computing dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) yang sederhana berdasarkan sistem pendukung keputusan. Pada penelitian ini, AI digunakan dengan cara memilih bidang penelitian skripsi agar bisa memberi rekomendasi dosen penguji yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian mahasiswa dan penjadwalan sidang munaqasyah mahasiswa secara terstruktur dan otomatis. Cloud computing berguna untuk penyimpanan semua dokumen syarat sidang, berita acara, dll pada platform cloud yang menunjang proses secara realtime. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan dengan pendekatan Cloud-AI yang bertahap, yaitu perencanaan, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi secara berulang. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan platform web dan menggabungkan bidang tugas akhir mahasiswa serta keahlian dosen sebagai dasar untuk mengambil keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini bisa mendukung pendaftaran sidang lebih efisien serta memberi rekomendasi dosen penguji yang tepat dan akurat dan penjadwalan secara otomatis. Dengan adanya integrasi Cloud-AI dalam sistem ini, maka pengelolaan administrasi akademik bisa lebih efektif, dan pelayanan bagi mahasiswa serta pengelolaan sidang munaqasyah di prodi Ilmu Komputer dapat meningkat. Abstract

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 18 of 2022 mandates all educational units to procure goods and services using School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds through the SIPLah platform. This policy is a strategic government step to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the management of national education funds. However, field implementation still faces significant challenges characterized by low platform adoption rates, where the majority of schools tend to prioritize conventional manual procurement prone to administrative irregularity risks. This study aims to analyze the compliance level of BOS fund spending through spending pattern clustering to identify SIPLah adoption characteristics and formulate targeted policy recommendations. The method used is the K-Means++ algorithm, selected for its superiority in optimal centroid initialization compared to standard K-Means, resulting in more accurate clusters with fast convergence. Research data sourced from the 2024 School Activity Plan and Budget (RKAS) of 40 State Junior High School (SMPN) samples selected using Slovin's formula with a 10% error rate. The clustering process produced three distinct compliance characteristic groups: Cluster 1 (Low Compliance) dominating with 30 schools (75%) in the SIPLah usage range of 0-5%, Cluster 2 (Medium Compliance) comprising 8 schools (20%) in the range of >5-15%, and Cluster 3 (High Compliance) comprising only 2 schools (5%) in the range of >15%. Validation using the Silhouette Coefficient yielded a score of 0.687, indicating a well-formed cluster structure. These findings provide a significant contribution to the education office as a basis for policy evaluation, where schools in Cluster 1 require infrastructure audits and intensive assistance, while Cluster 3 can serve as a best practice model in school financial governance.

Abstract

The rapid growth of cafes in Medan City causes difficulties for consumers in choosing the optimal location due to subjective and scattered information. The purpose of the research is to develop a web-based Decision Support System that integrates the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) II method with the Geographic Information System (GIS). The research methodology involved processing spatial and attribute data from 161 cafes using five weighted criteria: distance, atmosphere, facilities, service, and price. PROMETHEE II is used to calculate Net Flow to generate a complete ranking, while GIS visualizes the results on an interactive map. This study successfully identified Monk's Coffee Roasters as the best alternative with a Net Flow of 0.417. Black-box testing shows that all system functionality, including ranking calculations and spatial visualization, is valid. The findings represent the integration of PROMETHEE II and GIS providing an effective and objective tool to facilitate multi-criteria decision-making in the culinary tourism sector, allowing users to filter recommendations based on personal preference and location accessibility.

Abstract

Appendicitis is a surgical emergency that requires rapid and accurate diagnosis. However, limitations in ultrasound (USG) image interpretation often pose a risk of misdiagnosis, particularly in scenarios with limited medical data. This study aims to determine the most effective classification model for a clinical decision support system by comparing two transfer learning-based Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures: VGG-19 and InceptionV3. Utilizing a dataset of 2,168 images split into 70% training, 10% validation, and 20% testing data, the models were evaluated using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and Area Under Curve (AUC). The results demonstrate that InceptionV3 delivered significantly superior performance, achieving an accuracy of 0.9033%, an F1-score of 0.8946% for the appendicitis class, and an AUC of 0.9502%. In contrast, VGG-19 only reached an accuracy of 0.8255%, with a recall for the appendicitis class as low as 0.8019%. The poor recall performance of VGG-19 indicates a high risk of missed diagnosis. This research contributes by recommending a more reliable and effective model to support AI-based appendicitis identification, specifically in limited data scenarios.

Abstract

This activity was conducted in Timbang Lawan Village, located in Bahorok Sub-district, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The results of surveys and interviews with partners indicate that most residents, especially housewives, carry out activities at home, work as agricultural laborers, and engage in farming. This situation provides significant opportunities to train and educate them through programs aimed at improving economic conditions and financial independence. However, the main inhibiting factors identified are limited access to information, knowledge, and technology, which hinder their creativity in utilizing leisure time productively. The purpose of this community empowerment program is to provide education and socialization to inspire and empower the community in addressing economic problems through training in making dishwashing liquid. After this activity, it is expected that participants can reduce household expenses by no longer needing to purchase dishwashing liquid on a daily basis. Moreover, if opportunities arise, they may also identify business prospects to develop dishwashing liquid production. The expected benefit of this activity is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among housewives in Timbang Lawan Village.
