Abstract

Micro, small and medium entrepreneurs are the economic drivers at the lower levels and they generally rely on the ability of human resources. Nevertheless, they will be extraordinary if all their potential is nurtured, explored and developed because the factors that trigger success are not only determined by external conditions, but also internal conditions. Among the internal factors that spur one's success are locus of control, learning, and adversity quotient. This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of locus of control, learning, and adversity quotient on business success. The research respondents were a foster group of entrepreneurs under Banjarmasin, total 1881 people. With the Slovin formula, 100 respondents appear. The results of the study showed partially that the t value of the effect of locus of control on business success was 3.046. T value calculated the effect of learning on business success was 2,150. T value calculated the effect of adversity quotient on business success was 4.924. Thus, adversity quotient had the most dominant influence on business success. The correlation coefficient of 51,944 and the probability value between variables of 0,000 indicate a significant effect between locus of control, learning, and adversity quotient on business success simultaneously. Finally, it was found that R square 0.619 means 69.1% where business success can be explained by the locus of control, learning, and adversity quotient variables; the remaining 30.9% was explained by other factors. The research findings that the guidance provided must be ongoing, not only with training, but also need to foster mental and spiritual change as a true entrepreneurship through strong locus of control, continuous learning, and high adversity quotient.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship and innovation are significant economic growth factors in cities, including Bandung, Indonesia. This study intends to investigate the impact of entrepreneurial intellectual capital on Bandung's economic growth. Using a convenience sampling technique, data were obtained from 300 Bandung entrepreneurs. Even after controlling for other characteristics such as education, age, and gender, the study discovered that entrepreneurial intellectual capital has a considerable beneficial impact on Bandung's economic growth. This research shows that officials in Bandung should prioritize fostering entrepreneurship and innovation to assist the city's economic growth.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) are crucial in all facets of life. Institutional responsibilities are part of the effort required to provide public services. This study aimed to assess the public services provided by all local government working units (SKPD), technical implementing units (UPT), and local companies (Perusda) in Banjarmasin. Measuring public services helps determine the public's concern and allows the community to participate in how well human resources of government apparatus do their jobs and responsibilities for all citizens. The study method was a survey of 700 people in the community who have used public services in different categories and fields in 2021. This study showed that the quality and quantity of public services the Banjarmasin municipal government offers have improved. It also showed that public service personnel's (human resources of government apparatus) professionalism has improved and that those served care about the facilities required for public administration to function. This implied how the Banjarmasin municipal government managed public services through the human resources or government apparatus on each SKPD/UPT/Perusda positively impacted the society receiving the service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of employee engagement and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in CV Panca Bina Banua, located in the Sungai Loban district of Tanah Bumbu regency. Data was collected using a questionnaire administered to 32 randomly selected employees from the company's workforce. The results of the analysis indicate that the level of employee engagement in CV Panca Bina Banua falls into the moderate category, while the level of OCB is high. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between employee engagement and OCB. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights to the management of the company on how to enhance employee engagement and OCB, which in turn can improve the overall performance of the company.

Abstract

This study aims to determine fine practices in entrepreneurship for santri (Islamic boarding school students) based on personal characteristic factors (self-efficacy, locus of control, need for achievement, and adversity quotient) that exist in every human being. The research object is santri of the Manbaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, South Kalimantan, which are generally limited in terms of curriculum content that equips them with productive skills as provisions of practices in society, becoming leaders in society, as well as role models in good economic and social religious activities. The progress of a nation is mainly determined by the advancement of entrepreneurship which is marked by the presence of a high entrepreneurial spirit of individuals so that they have rich initiative and develop creativity and innovation in seeing opportunities and opportunities around them. The Islamic boarding school curriculum generally contains religious education. Educational content that provides life skills in the economic field is very limited and even very limited. In reality, when they finish their education at Islamic boarding schools, students will face highly powerful economic activities that can even create jobs for the people around them. Through a quantitative descriptive research method on 71 students in Class XI and XII with multiple linear regression analysis, the results show that self-efficacy, locus of control, need for achievement, and adversity quotient partially have a significant effect on students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Abstract

This research was conducted on students of the Indonesian School of Management (STIMI) Banjarmasin who are recipients of the Indonesian Student Business Competition Grant (KBMI) & the Student Entrepreneurship Coaching Program (P2MW) for the years 2018-2023, launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Entrepreneurship education is the process of instilling the spirit and essence of entrepreneurship to foster creativity and innovation in addressing problems, overcoming obstacles, managing various risks, and seizing opportunities for success. This study aims to determine the influence of Entrepreneurship Education (X1) and Self-Efficacy (X2) on Entrepreneurial Readiness (Y) among recipients of the KBMI & P2MW grants at STIMI Banjarmasin during the years 2018-2023. The population of this study consists of 39 individuals, which includes students and alumni of STIMI Banjarmasin who have previously received grants at the national level and obtained funding to develop their business ideas, with some having received grants two or three times. Since the population is less than 100, all population members are included as samples in this study. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms, and data processing was carried out using SPSS 25. Data analysis techniques employed included Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Classical Assumption Testing, and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.

Abstract

Perguruan Tinggi memiliki peran strategis di suatu daerah. Selain mendorong peningkatan ketersediaan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, juga menyebarkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Serta tidak kalah pentingnya adalah menjadi bagian dan berkontribusi langsung dalam memecahkan masalah yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat sekitarnya. Disinilah Perguruan Tinggi dituntut untuk menunjukkan kepeduliannya melalui berbagai kegiatan bertajuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Solusi dari persoalan tersebut, Kampus STIMI Banjarmasin berperan dalam membantu Pemerintah mendorong percepatan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam memiliki Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) serta Sertifikasi Halal bagi produk-produk UMKM, terutama produk rumahan yang banyak tersebar di masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, tim dosen STIMI Banjarmasin melakukan pendampingan pembuatan NIB dan juga Sertifikasi Halal bagi produk UMKM yang ada disekitar lingkungan kampus sehingga pelaku UMKM tersebut bisa terbantu dalam mengatasi legalitas usahanya yang sesuai dengan aturan Pemerintah

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia memiliki peranan yang sangat penting di dalam pembangunan. Namun kondisi kualitas sumber daya manusia tersebut rendah dan memiliki masalah social, tentu pihak yang berkemampuan diharapkan bisa mengambil peran serta di dalam membantu mereka untuk kuat dan berdaya di dalam menghadapi kehidupan dan tantangan yang dihadapinya. Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan (LPP) Klas 2A Martapura menampung lebih dari 500 warga binaan berjenis kelamin perempuan dan sedang menjalani masa tahanan dalam hitungan lebih dari 3 tahun, maka di dalam mengisi waktu mereka sehari-hari institusi memberikan bimbingan rohani, kegiatan pelatihan dalam rangka mempersiapkan mereka ketika kembali ke masyarakat bisa produktif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi nya maupun keluarga. Pelatihan ini adalah bentuk kontribusi Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat STIMI Banjarmasin untuk ikut meningkatkan kapasitas SDM yang menjadi warga binaan. Juga mempersiapkan warga binaan untuk mampu dan siap dalam berwirausaha Ketika kelak Kembali ke masyarakat. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 20 orang warga binaan yang dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dan diisi juga dengan focus group discussion untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman, motivasi, dan minat serta kapasitas warga binaan agar mampu bangkit secara ekonomi dan mentality untuk menghadapi kehidupan yang nyata sebagai warga masyarakat yang normal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh dari desain dan citra merek terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek Ventela melalui studi kasus pada Mahasiswa dan Mahasiswi Program Studi S-1 Manajemen Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Indonesia (STIMI) Banjarmasin baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Variabel pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 2 (dua) yaitu variabel dependen yang terdiri dari desain dan citra merek, sedangkan variabel independen adalah keputusan pembelian. Jenis dari metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa dan Mahasiswi aktif Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Indonesia (STIMI) Banjarmasin, Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 85 orang yang Peneliti dapatkan melalui rumus slovin dan juga metode purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang Peneliti pakai pada penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala likert 1-5 yang disebarkan baik secara offline maupun online. Analisis data yang Peneliti gunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan IBM Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) versi 25. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Desain secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek Ventela. Citra merek secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu merek Ventela. Desain dan citra merek secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepatu Ventela.

Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior has recently received much attention among researchers, given its practical importance and implications for organizations. The importance of organizational citizenship behavior in teachers is because to achieve the school's vision and mission, organizational citizenship behavior is needed to make it happen. The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the contribution of perceived organizational support, organizational commitment and job satisfaction to organizational citizenship behavior. This research used a quantitative approach-oriented research design. For the acquisition of research data using documentation instruments and online questionnaire distribution. The sample used in the study were 110 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented to the non-probability sampling approach by using the purposive sampling formula. This study concludes that perceived organizational support and job satisfaction have a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Furthermore, the results of this study also confirm that organizational commitment has no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, perceived organizational support is the strongest predictor of influence on organizational citizenship behavior based on the results of the regression test and the most significant based on the results of the partial test.
