Abstract

This paper reports on a qualitative investigation of several students at one of the state high schools in Medan. Many students lose their academic achievements. For this reason, the author examines students' achievements from where they get their academic achievements. The author's aim in conducting this research is to try to find out how effective the interaction between families and students is in influencing students' academic achievement. With the hope that the author will get results and some interesting conclusions from it. The author used qualitative descriptive using primary data to get results in the form of 74 informants through school data from the number of students they accepted at state universities and 5 of the 74 informants interviewed. This research shows that social interaction in the family has an impact on learning achievement, social interaction in the family, achievement motivation, learning independence. It is important for parents to focus on establishing interactions with their children, because the more frequently they interact, the it will have a lot of positive impacts on student academic achievement.

Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) is one of the important efforts in improving the health of newborns. EBI provides benefits in increasing the success of breastfeeding and strengthening the bond between mother and baby. However, the implementation of EBI is still not optimal. One of the factors that affect the success of EBI is family support, both in emotional, informational, and instrumental forms. To determine the relationship between family support and the success of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) at Teungku Peukan General Hospital, Southwest Aceh Regency in 2026. This study is an analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is all maternity mothers at Teungku Peukan General Hospital as many as 62 people. The sampling technique used a total sampling with a sample of 62 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that most of the respondents received family support, namely 38 people (61.3%) and more than half of the respondents successfully implemented EBI, namely 35 people (56.5%). The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value = 0.004 (p < 0.05) which showed a significant relationship between family support and EBI success. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between family support and the success of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) at Teungku Peukan General Hospital, Southwest Aceh Regency in 2026. It is hoped that health workers can improve education not only to mothers but also to families in order to provide optimal support in the implementation of EBI.

Abstract

Fires are a common disaster that are difficult to detect early. This study designed and built a drone-based early fire detection system using digital image processing on a Raspberry Pi. The system is equipped with a camera as the main sensor to capture images of the environment, which are then analyzed using a real-time fire color detection method. The Raspberry Pi functions as the data processing center, while the ESP32 module is used for data communication and device control. The location of the fire is identified through a GPS module, enabling accurate position monitoring. Detection results are automatically sent via the Telegram application, making it easier for users to respond to incidents. Test results show that the system is capable of detecting potential fires with fast response and high accuracy in various lighting conditions. This system is expected to be an effective solution in supporting efficient and real-time forest fire mitigation efforts

Abstract

Konsep rumah tradisional Bali umumnya dikelan dengan sebutan Natah. Natah di bagi menjadi dua berdasarkan konfigurasi bangunannya, Tri Mandala yang bersifat linier dan Sanga Mandala yang bersifat kompak. Tiap konsep natah memiliki respon yang berbeda terhadap lingkungan di sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis dan komparasikan efek dari konsep konfigurasi bangunan terhadap kinerja termal luar ruangan. Pada kajian ini menggunakan metode pengukuran lapangan yang kemudian divalidasi dengan bantuan simulasi Envi-met untuk mencari hubungan sebab-akibat dari pola tata letak terhadap kinerja termal luar ruangannya. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa konsep Tri Mandala mengalami fluktuasi Temperatur dan kecepatan angin lebih stabil dari konsep Sanga Mandala. Rata-rata temperature luar ruang pada konsep Tri Mandala cukup baik yaitu sebesar 24,33 oC dan kecepatan angin antara 0,5-1m/s. Konfigurasi yang bersifat linier pada konsep ini dapat mendistribusikan temperatur dan aliran angin secara merata, sehingga proses pendinginan temperaturnya lebih cepat.

Abstract

Forum diskusi umum adalah media penyalur aspirasi untuk bermusyawarah secara umum yang berupa ide, gagasan, serta pertanyaan dalam pemecahkan masalah. Kegiatan berdiskusi dapat membahas antar mahasiswa dalam membahas segala persoalan. Dari permasalah tersebut forum diskusi umum yang telah dirancang bertujuan untuk pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa program studi sistem informasi universitas malikussaleh agar diskusi yang dilakukan terpusat, dimanapun, kapanpun serta mendapatkan manfaat bukan hanya untuk yang bertanya tetapi juga semua pengguna yang terkait. Hasil dari forum diskusi umum yang dibangun untuk program studi sistem informasi merupakan tempat berinteraksi antara mahasiswa dengan mahasiswa lainnya untuk kepentingan secara umum. Hasil uji coba pada Forum diskusi umum berbasis ini dapat digunakan sebagai sarana untuk berdiskusi agar menghasilkan pendapat yang akurat serta relevan. Di harapkan forum diskusi ini dapat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa di prodi sistem informasi Universitas Malikussaleh dan dapat menjadi panduan pembuatan forum diskusi bagi prodi lainnya.

Abstract

Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using plant extracts offers an environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional synthesis methods; however, the influence of the bioreductant-to-precursor ratio in dual-bioreductant systems on the physical characteristics of AgNPs remains insufficiently understood. This study aimed to determine the effect of different bioreductant-to-precursor ratios on the physical characteristics of AgNPs synthesized using combined lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) and betel leaf (Piper betle L.) extracts. AgNPs were synthesized at bioreductant-to-precursor ratios of 1:9, 2:8, and 3:7 and characterized using UV–Visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and particle size analysis (PSA). UV–Visible spectroscopy confirmed the formation of AgNPs through the appearance of surface plasmon resonance peaks across all ratio variations. The 1:9 ratio exhibited the strongest optical characteristics, with a maximum absorption wavelength of 423 nm and the highest absorbance value of 2.165. XRD analysis verified the formation of AgNPs with a face-centered cubic crystalline structure and average crystallite sizes ranging from 18.45 to 23.80 nm. PSA results showed hydrodynamic particle diameters ranging from 38.3 to 137.7 nm and polydispersity index values of 0.096–0.306. An integrated evaluation of the characterization results identified the 1:9 ratio as the optimum synthesis condition because it produced the best balance between smaller particle size and higher surface plasmon resonance intensity. Nevertheless, the 2:8 ratio yielded the most homogeneous particle size distribution, as indicated by the lowest polydispersity index. These findings demonstrate that the bioreductant-to-precursor ratio critically influences the optical, structural, and particle-size characteristics of AgNPs. This study contributes to the optimization of environmentally sustainable AgNP synthesis using complementary plant-derived bioreductants.
