Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work ethic and organizational culture on employee integrity with compensation as an intervening variable at the Regional Finance and Asset Agency of North Sumatra Province. The research approach used is quantitative with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to employees as respondents. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique to ensure that the data obtained is relevant to the research objectives with a total of 80 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using path analysis techniques to determine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that work ethic and organizational culture, both directly and indirectly, have a positive and significant effect on employee integrity and through compensation. In addition, compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee integrity. Work ethic also has a positive and significant effect on employee integrity, but organizational culture has a positive but insignificant effect on employee integrity. Thus, compensation is proven to mediate the influence of work ethic and organizational culture on employee integrity. The findings of this study are expected to be input for management in improving employee integrity through strengthening work ethic, implementing a positive organizational culture, and providing fair and appropriate compensation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development and compensation on employee performance with work engagement as an intervening variable at the Medan Belawan District Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing 51 questionnaires to employees as respondents. Purposive sampling technique is used to determine the sample so that the data obtained is relevant to the research objectives. Data were analyzed using path analysis techniques to measure the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that career development has a positive and significant effect on employee work engagement and performance. Compensation has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance but has a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Work engagement also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Thus, work engagement acts as an intervening variable that mediates the influence of career development and compensation on employee performance. The results of this study are expected to be input for management in improving employee performance through targeted career development planning, providing fair compensation, and increasing employee work engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and emotional intelligence on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable at the Medan Belawan District Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing 51 questionnaires to employees as respondents. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique so that the data obtained is relevant to the research objectives. The collected data were analyzed using path analysis techniques to determine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that competence has a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation as well as on employee performance. Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, but on employee performance through work motivation it has a positive but insignificant effect. Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, competence and emotional intelligence are proven to have a significant direct effect on employee performance. Thus, work motivation acts as an intervening variable that mediates the effect of competence on employee performance but not with the emotional intelligence variable because the results have a positive but insignificant effect. The findings of this study are expected to be input for leaders in improving employee performance through increasing competence, developing emotional intelligence, and strengthening work motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal communication and work systems on work productivity with motivation as an intervening variable at the Medan Belawan District Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing 51 questionnaires to employees as respondents. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique so that the data obtained was in accordance with the research needs with a total of 51 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis techniques to measure the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that internal communication has a positive and significant effect on work motivation as well as its effect on work productivity. Internal communication has a positive and significant effect on work motivation as well as its effect on work productivity. The work system has a positive and significant effect on work motivation but has a positive but not significant effect on work productivity. Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity. In addition, internal communication and work systems have been shown to have a significant direct effect on work productivity. Thus, motivation acts as an intervening variable that mediates the effect of internal communication and work systems on work productivity. The findings of this study are expected to be input for management in increasing work productivity through improving internal communication, developing effective work systems, and increasing employee work motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of innovative learning and self-efficacy on teacher motivation, with digital literacy as an intervening variable at SMP Negeri 1 Pintu Rime Gayo, Bener Meriah Regency. Teacher motivation is a crucial factor in improving the quality of education, which can be influenced by teachers' ability to innovate, self-confidence in teaching, and skills in using digital technology. The approach used in this study was quantitative with the path analysis method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all teachers at the school. The results showed that innovative learning and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on teacher motivation, both directly and through digital literacy as an intervening variable. Digital literacy has been shown to strengthen the relationship between learning innovation and self-efficacy on work motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of technology training and continuous teacher capacity development to improve professionalism and work enthusiasm in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher certification and work climate on teacher job satisfaction through motivation as an intervening variable at SMK Negeri 1 Bener Meriah. The background of this study is based on the importance of job satisfaction in improving the quality of learning, which is influenced by internal and external factors such as professional certification, work environment, and motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 74 teachers, all of whom are sampled (saturated sample). The data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square (PLS) through SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that: (1) teacher certification has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and motivation; (2) work climate has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and motivation; (3) motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; and (4) motivation significantly mediates the effect of teacher certification and work climate on job satisfaction. These findings emphasize the important role of motivation in strengthening the influence of certification and work climate on teacher job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Independent Curriculum training and the use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform on teacher performance through teacher competency as a mediating variable at SMK Negeri 2 Bener Meriah. Changes in national education policy encourage teachers to adapt to more flexible and student-centered learning approaches. The Independent Curriculum training and features within the Independent Teaching Platform, such as self-paced training, teaching tools, and inspirational videos, are expected to improve teachers' pedagogical and professional competencies. This study used a quantitative approach with path analysis techniques. The study population was all teachers at SMK Negeri 2 Bener Meriah, with samples taken proportionally. The results showed that the Independent Curriculum training and the use of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform had a positive and significant effect on teacher competency, and teacher competency significantly influenced teacher performance. In addition, teacher competency also played a mediating role in strengthening the relationship between training and teacher performance. These findings emphasize the importance of continuous training and the use of educational technology to support teacher professionalism in the Independent Curriculum era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of commercial advertising, brand engagement, and influencer credibility on consumer purchase decisions at PT. Nutrifood Indonesia. The growing phenomenon of digital marketing has made the role of advertising media and influencers increasingly important in shaping consumer perception and decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data was collected through questionnaires distributed to Nutrifood consumers. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results show that both partially and simultaneously, commercial advertising, brand engagement, and influencer credibility have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. Attractive advertisements, consumer involvement with the brand, and trust in influencers are proven to be important factors in encouraging the intention and decision to purchase Nutrifood products. These findings have strategic implications for companies in designing more effective marketing communications.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and competence on employee effectiveness with training as a moderating variable at PT PLN (Persero) UID North Sumatra. This quantitative study was conducted with the aim of adjusting the research and analyzing the effect of workload and competence on employee effectiveness, with training as a moderating variable at PT PLN (Persero) UID North Sumatra. Data were collected from 81 customer service unit employees. The results of the study indicate that workload has a negative and significant effect on employee effectiveness, competence and training have a positive and significant effect on employee effectiveness. Training does not act as a moderating variable between the effect of workload and competence on employee effectiveness.

Abstract

The quality of education is greatly influenced by the principal's managerial capacity, which is determined by the ability to effectively direct, manage, and evaluate all school activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Teacher Activity Center (PKG) and Teacher Performance Assessment on the Principal's Managerial Capacity, with Teacher Professional Competence as an intervening variable. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Syiah Utama, Bener Meriah Regency, using a quantitative approach with a saturated sample of 63 teachers. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that PKG had a positive but insignificant effect on the principal's managerial capacity, but a positive and significant effect on teacher professional competence. Teacher performance assessment was proven to have a positive and significant effect on both the principal's professional competence and managerial capacity. In addition, teacher professional competence also had a significant effect on managerial capacity, and mediated the relationship between PKG and teacher performance assessment on the principal's managerial capacity. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening teacher professional competence through systematic performance development and evaluation programs in supporting effective managerial leadership.
