Abstract

The Gandrung Bangun  Urip dance is one of the tarekat's sacred traditions from Banjar Bangun Urip, Batukandik Village, Nusa Penida, which is still performed in several manusa nyadnya events. This research aims to describe representation rates based on communication aesthetics. This qualitative research uses an ethnographic communication approach based on the results of participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The results obtained from the research conducted on the Banjar Batukandik krama are the Gandrung Bangun Urip dance, which represents the expression of gratitude for Krama Banjar and a symbol of repelling reinforcements or disasters. The representation of this dance is a cultural agreement in a social context as the embodiment of philosophy in society, namely Tri Hitakarana, Rwa Bhineda so that apart from having a religious function, it also has a social function, namely forming harmonious community relations within the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of a mother’s loneliness in the film Bila Esok Ibu Tiada through Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic perspective. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with textual and visual analysis of the film as the primary data. Saussure’s semiotics—particularly the relationship between signifier and signified, and the concept of langue and parole—are used to interpret the meanings embedded in the mother’s loneliness. The findings indicate that loneliness is represented through verbal and non-verbal signs, including dialogue, facial expressions, mise-en-scène, and cinematographic composition. The contrast between the mother’s domestic space and her emotional isolation illustrates the separation between social reality and inner experience. The study reveals that the film constructs loneliness not merely as an emotional condition but as a social discourse reflecting the marginalization of women’s roles in modern families. In conclusion, Saussurean semiotics provides a framework for understanding how cinematic language conveys complex meanings of maternal loneliness.

Abstract

The trend in used car prices always depends on market conditions, consumer demand, and also the strength of the product itself. Used car sales can still grow in Indonesia because the car ownership ratio is still low and there is a lot of demand from the first time buyer segment. Therefore, used cars are an option for consumers who want cars at more affordable prices. Indeed, it must be admitted that many certain consumers prefer to choose used cars for certain brands or types for various reasons. This research aims to analyze digital media marketing strategy to increase car sales. This type of research is field research. The research informants were 20 used car sales entrepreneurs in Medan City. The analysis method used in this study is the field qualitative method. Based on the research results show that used car sales businesses in Medan City have implemented a marketing strategy through digital media, which means that it can increase car sales.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menjadikan suatu kawasan menjadi kompetitif untuk pengembangan industri. Data diperoleh dari sensus ekonomi dan survei industri. Analisis menekankan pentingnya teori ilmiah dalam memahami perkembangan industri di perkotaan. Lokasi industri di perkotaan menawarkan akses terhadap infrastruktur dan layanan publik namun juga meningkatkan biaya produksi dan risiko konflik sosial. Faktor-faktor seperti geografi, infrastruktur transportasi, dan tenaga kerja menjadi aspek yang dapat memengaruhi daya saing industri. Saran dari penelitian adalah agar manajemen perusahaan dapat mempertimbangkan biaya transportasi, produksi, dan penjualan ketika memilih suatu lokasi.

Abstract

Bali merupakan destinasi wisata kelas dunia dan memiliki beragam pilihan transportasi, termasuk speedboat. Namun dengan bertambahnya perusahaan speedboat menimbulkan persaingan dalam usaha. Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang strategi komunikasi pemasaran personal selling yang diterapkan di PT. Putra Artha Mas Global dalam kegiatan promosi dan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan penggunaan speedboat di Sanur. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana PT. Putra Artha Mas Global mengimplementasikan personal selling untuk mempengaruhi tingkat penggunaan speedboat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan melaksanakan wawancara mendalam terhadap staf pemasaran, resepsionis, dan pelanggan PT. Putra Artha Mass Global. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapatkan oleh peneliti, tim pemasaran PT. Putra Artha Mas Global telah menerapkan beberapa strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang efektif yaitu dengan mengembangkan konsep diri yang dapat membantu dalam membangun citra positif, tujuan komunikasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran calon costumer, dan pengaruh sosial dalam melaksanakan testimoni untuk kegiatan personal selling

Abstract

The main objective of the study is to reveal the innovations in the planning and communication strategies used by Phoenix Radio Bali in dealing with fake news among Generation Z. The study uses three methods data collection, observation of participants, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Based on the results of the research, Phoenix Radio Bali uses strategic planning and communications in delivering the message to listeners initiated by Phil Jones through five stages, namely the launch of strategy, planning, and planning of strategy implementation, strategy analysis and planning, strategy follow-up, and commitments, and the final stage is the implementation of the plan and monitoring of its results. Phoenix Radio Bali has managed to maintain its presence in the digital age, despite the prevalence of fake news and fraud. The success of the radio station can be attributed to its staff's commitment to reporting news based on data and facts, and ensuring that all news broadcasts are thoroughly tested facts before reaching its listeners, the Z generation.

Abstract

The phenomenon of anime television shows and comic books originating from Japan provides space for the development of Japanese popular culture in Bali. The art of dress in Japanese popular cultures such as Harajuku Style (such as Lolita, Visual Kei, Ganguro and the costume player) has shifted traditional Japanese clothing such as kimono and Yukata. A cospalyer admires a certain anime, manga or costume player character and tries to present the character in several Japanese cultural performances held in the city of Denpasar and Badung Sub-district. The purpose of this research is to study the front stage (backstage) of the costume players. This research is qualitative, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The result from this research explained that on dramaturgy perspective the existence of stage in human life between the front stage and the backstage of a costume player is two different sides, even contradictory, but some of them had the same character. The Presentation of the Japanese’s fashion styles are very disserving (adapted from the characters) and full of creativities, so all the costume player will be the center of attention in Japanese cultural performances conducted in The Japan Pagelaran of Udayana (D’JaFU), CLAS: H Bali Sakura Matsuri, dan Fella Market Cosplay Competition.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKL (Praktik Kerja Lapangan) ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan kegiatan digital marketing kepada mahasiswa sebagai bentuk implementasi kerjasama antara Universitas Pendidikan Nasional dengan Mitra yaitu Diamond Ride. Kegiatan digital marketing ini dilaksanakan oleh mitra untuk pengembangkan bisnis yang bergerak di bidang apparel motor dan lifestyle. Metode yamg dipergunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini (PKL) meliputi tahap persiapan yang dilakukan oleh pihak mitra pada mahasiswa, yang kedua pelatihan digital marketing dan metode yang ketiga adalah evaluasi kegiatan yang dilakukan di akhir proses kegiatan PKL (Praktik Kerja Lapangan). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan mahasiswa  dalam mengelola akun media sosial secara profesional, menghasilkan konten yang lebih menarik, konten kreatif, melaksanakan perencanaan kalender konten, penggunaan tools digital, serta pemanfaatan fitur iklan berbayar, serta serta memahami metrik performa digital Kata Kunci : Digital marketing; media sosial; pelatihan; admin sosial media, brand lokal, Diamond Ride

Abstract

Pemilihan umum tahun 2024 akan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk Pemilu Serentak, yakni memilih Calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden dan Calon Legislatif secara bersamaan. Hal yang menjadi perhatian adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi mengenai pemilu dan tata cara penggunaan hak pilih di TPS kepada Pemilih Kelompok Lansia yang ada di Desa Dangin Puri Kauh. Tujuan dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyrakat ini adalah untuk mensosialiasaikanPemilu 2024 kepada pemilih kelompok lansia Desa Dangin Puri Kauh, agar kelompok lansia dapat teredukasi mengenai pemilu dan tata cara penggunaan hak pilih. Desa Dangin Puri Kauh memiliki 5.502 Pemilih aktif dan sekitar 12% adalah kelompok lansia yang menjadi sasaran dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh penulis, Metode yang digunakan adalah Sosialiasi Formal dengan mengumpulkan atau mendatangi kegiatan kelompok lansia Desa Dangin Puri Kauh yang sedang berkegiatan di Banjar atau tempat umum di sekitar Dangin Puri Kauh. Dengan diadakannya Sosialisasi Pemilu 2024 dapat mengedukasi kelompok lansia, sehingga kelompok lansia dapat terbantu saat menggunakan hak pilihnya di TPS. Penulis melakukan sosialisasi di kelompok lansia Banjar Pucak Sari dan Lansia yang sedang beraktifitas di sekitar Desa Dangin Puri Kauh. Pada akhirnya melalui sosialiasai dan edukasi pemilih kelompok lansia bisa teredukasi dan mendapat pendampingan pada saat menggunakan hak pilihnya di TPS.Kata kunci: Sosialisasi, Edukasi, Kelompok Lansia, Pemilihan Umum ABSTRACTThe 2024 general election will be held in the form of Simultaneous Elections, namely electing Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates and Legislative Candidates simultaneously. The thing that is of concern is socialization and education regarding elections and procedures for using the right to vote at the TPS for the Elderly Group of Voters in Dangin Puri Kauh Village. The aim of this Community Service is to socialize the 2024 Election to elderly voters in Dangin Puri Kauh Village, so that elderly groups can be educated about elections and how to use their voting rights. Dangin Puri Kauh Village has 5,502 active voters and around 12% are elderly groups who are the target of Community Service activities carried out by the author. The method used is Formal Socialization by gathering or attending the activities of Dangin Puri Kauh Village elderly groups who are currently active in Banjar or public places around Dangin Puri Kauh. By holding the 2024 Election Socialization, the elderly group can be educated, so that the elderly group can be helped when exercising their right to vote at the TPS. The author carried out outreach to the elderly group of Banjar Pucak Sari and elderly people who were doing activities around Dangin Puri Kauh Village. In the end, through socialization and education, elderly voters can be educated and receive assistance when exercising their right to vote at the polling station.Keywords: Socialization, Education, Elderly Groups, 2024 General Election

Abstract

This qualitative research, using a case study approach, aims to analyse the role of Instagram as a development communication tool in the development of Pinge Tourism Village, Tabanan, Bali. The study's results reveal that Instagram serves as an adequate digital public space for promoting and branding Pinge Tourism Village. Community participation is essential for sustainable development in various sectors, including tourism and environmental management. Involving the local community will provide experience and ensure that economic benefits are distributed evenly. Through tags, geotags, and collaborations with influencers or other tourism accounts, Instagram helps Pinge Tourism Village build networks with external partners such as travel agencies, local governments, and tourism communities, thereby expanding the reach of its promotion. From a development communication perspective, Instagram facilitates a two-way communication process. Village managers can convey information while receiving feedback from visitors. This interaction aids in the planning and development of tourism villages that are more responsive to market needs and trends. However, the study also identified challenges, including pressure on village capacity and the potential for cultural commodification. The study concludes that, from a development communication perspective, Instagram functions as a strategic development communication tool that transforms local values into socioeconomic capital, while requiring critical and balanced content management to ensure genuine development sustainability. Furthermore, participatory development communication plays a vital role, with Instagram serving as a tool for this form of communication
