Abstract

Latar Belakang : Indonesia mempunyai jumlah penduduk 216,9 juta jiwa dengan laju pertumbuhan penduduk 1,36%. Untuk membatasi ledakan penduduk tersebut, Pemerintah melaksanakan pembangunan yang berorientasi pada keadilan dan kesataraan gender dalam Keluarga Berencana (KB) dan Kesehatan Reproduksi. Salah satu kesetaraan gender dalam KB adalah partisipasi pria dalam penggunaan alat kontrasepsi. Namun, sampai saat ini kesertaan KB di Indonesia masih didominasi oleh wanita. Berdasarkan data Laporan Bulanan UPTB KB Kecamatan Indralaya partisipasi pria dalam penggunaan alat kontrasepsi di Kelurahan Indralaya Mulya masih rendah. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui partisipasi pria dalam penggunaan kontrasepsi.Metode : Menggunakan metode survey analitik dengan design studi cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pria yang memiliki isteri yang berusia 15-49 tahun yang berjumlah 82 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil Penelitian : Menunjukkan bahwa dari 7 variabel independen terdapat 5 variabel yang dinyatakan berhubungan dengan partisipasi pria dalam KB yaitu pendidikan (pvalue = 0,001), pengetahuan (pvalue = 0,014), akses pelayanan KB (pvalue = 0,010), kualitas pelayanan KB pria (pvalue = 0,030) dan image (penerimaan) KB pria (pvalue = 0,008).Kesimpulan : Variabel yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi pria dalam penggunaan alat kontrasepsi adalah pendidikan, pengetahuan, akses pelayanan KB, kualitas pelayanan KB pria dan image (penerimaan) KB pria sedangkan variabel yang tidak berhubungan adalah umur dan jumlah anak.Kata Kunci: Partisipasi pria dalam penggunaan alat kontrasepsi, KB pria

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Kinerja kader secara umum dipengaruhi oleh gaya kepemimpinan, sistem kompensasi, motivasi dan komitmen kader itu sendiri sehingga pada akhirnya faktor-faktor tersebut berdampak terhadap kinerja kader dalam posyandu. Tingginya kader yang tidak aktif berdampak pada meningkatnya kejadian gizi buruk pada anak-anak, meningkatnya angka kesakitan dan kematian serta meningkatnya penyakit infeksi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah peran faktor organisasi dan psikologis terhadap keaktifan kader posyandu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pangkalan Lampam Tahun 2012.Metode : Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey analitik, dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah desain studi cross sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 57 kader posyandu di wilayah kerja puskesmas Pangkalan Lampam dengan menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling.Hasil penelitian : Dari 5 variabel penelitian terdapat 4 variabel yang berperan terhadap keaktifan kader posyandu yaitu Gaya Kepemimpinan (sig = 0.004, RP = 6.222), Sistem Kompensasi (sig = 0.006, RP = 6.300), Motivasi Hygiene Factor (sig = 0.0001, RP = 10.000) dan Komitmen (sig = 0.0001, RP = 13.875). Dan 1 variabel yang tidak peran terhadap keaktifan kader posyandu yaitu variabel Motivasi Satisfier factor (sig = 0.710).Kesimpulan : Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak baiknya gaya kepemimpinan kepala desa dan rendahnya sistem kompensasi yang diterima kader dalam kegiatan posyandu dapat menyebabkan kurang memotivasikader sehingga tidak memiliki komitmen yang tinggi untuk aktif dalam kegiatan posyandu.Kata Kunci : Kinerja, Kader, Posyandu

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the successful indicators in improving the health of babies. From 2013 until 2014, the practice of exclusive breastfeeding has decreased in Indonesia and has not reached the national targets of around 80% of babies being exclusively breastfed. This study aimed to identify the prevalence and determinants of exclusive breastfeeding in Seberang Ulu I, Palembang. A community-based cross sectional study was executed from July 5, 2016 to August 5, 2016 among mothers who had infants aged less than six months. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 125 participants. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire by the face-to-face interview technique. Bivariate and multiple logistic regression analysis were used to determine factors associated with the practice of breastfeeding exclusively and to control confounding effects. The prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding was 26.4% (95% CI: 20.0%-35.1%). After adjusting for confounders (mothers’ attitudes and health workers’ support), mothers who had good knowledge were 11.66 times more likely to breastfeed exclusively than those who had poor knowledge (AOR: 11.66, 95% CI: 3.07-44.31). The prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in Seberang Ulu I, Palembang, was still very low and has not reached the national target. The recommendation is to maximize the role of health workers in providing information about exclusive breastfeeding, so that they can continue providing motivation for mothers, husbands and families, so that the success and sustainability of exclusive breastfeeding practices could be achieved. Abstract

Obesity has become a global health problem in the world. The impact of obesity is degenerative disease. The style of family care is one of the factors that influence the occurrence of obesity in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family care style with obesity in preschool children aged 3-5 years. This study uses a cross sectional design with a total of 143 preschool children aged 3-5 years using Cluster Sampling sampling techniques. research shows that there is a relationship between parental supervision when watching television (pvalue = 0.043) and parental physical activity patterns (pvalue = 0,000), while the most dominant variable is the parental physical activity pattern with a PR value of 15,896. school is influenced by parental supervision when watching television and parental physical activity patterns. It is hoped that all parties can make efforts to prevent obesity in children by increasing physical activity of children such as buying sports equipment and inviting children to exercise and conduct more stringent supervision when children watch television, play games or gadgets. Abstract

Food preferences are the level of the likes and dislikes of food, and these preferences will affect food consumption that represents the selection of a person’s diet frequency, nutrient intake and dietary adequacy. Based on previous research, food preferences in adolescents as a whole are not in line with a healthy diet, and food preferences of adolescents are a critical point that determines food preferences of adults. The purpose of this study is to analyze food preferences of adolescence and the various factors which influence it. This research was an analytical study with cross-sectional design. The samples were High School students at Senior High School 1 Inderalaya and Senior High School 1 South Inderalaya with the total number 167 ,and people. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. The food preferences data were obtained by using food checklist and hedonic scale of 1-5. Procedure of data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square. Bivariate analysis showed that 61.1% of the respondent have good food preferences. Analysis of the relationship between variables showed a significant relationship between food familiarity with food preferences (p-value = 0.000) with PR= 3.459 (95% CI: 2.284-5.239) while other variables Such as the influence of peers, food neophobia, body image perception, gender, allowance, nutritional knowledge, and food taboo did not have any relationship with food preferences. The higher someone’s food familiarity level is, the higher the preference is. We suggest the school to increase food preferences for students to learn about a variety of nutritious foods balanced through a variety of activities, such as scientific discussions, a competition to create a menu of balanced nutrition, healthy food promotion

Abstract

To support the growth and development of children and adolescents, a balanced nutritious diet is required. Indonesia issues a balanced nutrition guideline as the government's effort to overcome various nutritional problems in Indonesia.  This study aimed to evaluate the relationship among four pillars of balanced nutrition, namely eating a variety of foods, monitoring body weight, hygiene and healthy living habits and physical activity with nutritional status in school children. This study used a cross-sectional method which was conducted in elementary schools in rural areas with a number of sample of 80 schoolchildren with  purposive sampling technique. The data were taken directly by means of interviews and anthropometric measurements. Based on the results of the study, there was a relationship between various foods and physical activity with nutritional status, while for the clean and healthy living habits and monitoring of body weight there was no relationship to the nutritional status of school children.  There was a relationship between diverse foods and physical activity and nutritional status of schoolchildren in rural areas of Ogan Komering Ilir District.

Abstract

Local-food-based complementary feeding (LFBCF) practice may be an important approach in the growth and development of children aged 6 to 24 months. This study aimed to describe potential barriers in implementing local food-based complementary feeding practices among mothers in Banyuasin regency, Indonesia. A qualitative study was conducted by using 24 semi-structured interviews and a focus group discussion. Participants were 24 mothers with children aged 6 to 24 months in Banyuasin Regency, Indonesia that recruited purposively. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The majority of the mothers were 20-30 years old. All participants have implemented LFBCF practice because local food ingredients are easy to find locally at an affordable price. Community cadres assisted village midwives in integrated health post service such as disseminating information concerning local food recipes and facilitating information exchange among mothers regarding complementary feeding practice. Three main emerged themes identified from this study were: mother's knowledge about local food recipes, mother's knowledge about healthy complementary food preparation, child-eating behavior. Improving the nutritional status of children starts with the family by motivating mothers to provide complementary foods, which also requires the support of local cadres.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Salah satu masalah gizi yang dihadapi di Indonesia pada saat ini adalah KEK (Kekurangan Energi Kronis). Kekurangan energi protein (KEK) dapat disebabkan karena meningkatnya kebutuhan gizi pada saat kehamilan serta adanya ketidakseimbangan asupan gizi (energi dan protein) sehingga zat gizi yang dibutuhkan tubuh tidak tercukup mengakibatkan pertumbuhan tubuh baik fisik dan mental tidak sempurna. Cookies adalah makanan yang mengenyangkan, memiliki daya simpan relative panjang, dapat dicetak dalam bentuk yang disukai dan berukuran kecil. Hati sapi dan kacang merah merupakan sumber bahan pangan nabati dan hewani yang memiliki kandungan protein dan kalsium yang tinggi sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembuatan makanan camilan sebagai upaya penanggulangan masalah KEK pada ibu hamil. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan protein dan kalsium pada cookies hati sapi dan tepung kacang merah formula terpilihMetode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian desain eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Terdapat 4 perlakuan penambahan tepung hati sapi dan tepung kacang merah pada pembuatan cookies. Hasil uji organoleptik oleh panelis semi terlatih sebanyak 25 orang. Uji statistik dari organoleptik menggunakan uji normalitas dan dilanjutkan uji kruskall wallis sedangkan untuk uji data laboratorium (analisis kimia) tidak dilakukan uji statistik karena hanya dipilih berdasarkan perlakuan terpilih.Hasil: Pada Perlakuan F2 adalah perlakuan terpilih dari cookies dengan penambahan hati sapi dan tepung kacang. Uji organoleptik pada perlakukan F2 diperoleh hasil dengan persentase warna sebesar 4,12%, aroma sebesar 3,95%, tekstur sebesar 3,96% dan rasa sebesar 3,72% Formulasi F2 ini memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi sebesar 10,3% dan kalsium sebesar 143 mg/100 g .Kesimpulan: Pada uji organoleptic yang telah dilakukan formulasi yang terpilih adalah cookies dengn formulasi F2 (75% tepung terigu : 10 % tepung hati sapi dan 15% tepung kacang merah). Cookies dengan formulasi terpilih F2 memiliki kandungan protein sebesar 10,3% sedangkan kandungan kalsium pada cookies terpilih sebesar 143 mg/100 gr

Abstract

Tumbuh kembang bayi merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan karena masih dalam periode 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Tumbuh kembang bayi yang optimal dapat mencegah terjadinya stunting. Namun, terdapat fase kritis bayi beresiko terjadi kekurangan gizi, yaitu pada usia 6-12 bulan. Pada fase ini bayi mulai diajarkan untuk mengkonsumsi makanan secara bertahap. Oleh karena itu pengetahuan tentang bahan pangan dan cara pengolahan Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) sangatlah penting untuk diketahui. Pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan mengusung tema MP-ASI dengan memperlihatkan secara langsung bagaimana pengolahan MP-ASI yang bergizi melalui demo masak. Demo dan lomba masak MP-ASI merupakan metode yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan antusias para ibu dalam belajar menghidangkan MP-ASI yang bergizi. Selain itu, buku resep MP-ASI juga disusun dan dibagikan sebagai panduan sehari-hari bagi para ibu atau pengasuh. Buku resep MP-ASI ini menjadi pengingat sekaligus motivasi bagi para Ibu agar selalu memasak MP-ASI yang bergizi untuk bayinya. Dengan demikian, pengabdian masyarakat ini telah berpartisipasi dalam pencegahan stunting di Indonesia.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive and develops in children aged 0-59 months. Those whose length or height does not match their age due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections. One of the efforts made to prevent stunting in children aged 0-59 months is to disseminate information and education to parents of toddlers and pregnant women through posyandu. The purpose of this posyandu assistance is to identify the efforts of posyandu cadres in preventing stunting. The target population in this assistance were Posyandu Mawar 1, Mawar 2, Mawar 3, Mawar 4, and Mawar 5, 25 posyandu cadres, 1 village midwife, and posyandu visitors in Pedamaran I Village, Pedamaran District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The method used is PAR (Participatory Action Research) with qualitative descriptive analysis. It was carried out in several stages, namely observation, interviews, and household surveys. The result of this implementation is from posyandu assistance in preventing stunting posyandu cadres with village midwives carrying out various forms of activities besides measuring and weighing children's weight, socialize and education are also carried out for mothers who have children under five 0-59 months and pregnant women to recognize stunting and follow up on toddlers who are recorded as stunting.
