Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bidang pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pengembangan kemampuan guru. Di Kabupaten Barru, guru-guru masih menghadapi tantangan dalam merancang modul ajar yang efektif dan inovatif, serta memanfaatkan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan pengembangan modul ajar yang dilaksanakan bagi 25 guru SMP bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menyusun materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kurikulum dan dapat menarik perhatian siswa. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik langsung untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan di kelas. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun modul ajar yang lebih terstruktur, kreatif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga meningkatkan kepercayaan diri guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Diharapkan, pelatihan serupa dapat dilanjutkan dengan fokus pada inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, guna mendukung pengembangan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Barru.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Pop-Up Digital Book media on fourth-grade students’ vocabulary comprehension in English learning at SDN Kalukuang 2 Makassar. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 40 students divided into an experimental group (n = 20) and a control group (n = 20). Data were collected through classroom observations, vocabulary comprehension tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and an Independent Samples t-test. The findings revealed that the implementation of Pop-Up Digital Book media was carried out effectively, as indicated by an increase in observation scores from 70% to 90% during the treatment sessions. Students in the experimental group demonstrated substantially higher vocabulary comprehension scores than those in the control group. The mean score increased from 49.50 in the pretest to 74.00 in the posttest, whereas the control group showed only a slight improvement. Hypothesis testing indicated a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05), confirming that the use of Pop-Up Digital Book media had a significant positive effect on students’ vocabulary comprehension. These findings suggest that interactive digital learning media can enhance vocabulary acquisition, increase student engagement, and support more effective English language learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of an e-book and interactive quizzes based on Quizizz to enhance students' engagement in learning evaluation at the elementary school level. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, which consists of ten stages of product development. However, this research was limited to the product development stage and theoretical evaluation through a literature review approach without conducting direct field testing. Data were collected through a literature study by reviewing various scientific sources, including books, national journals, and relevant previous research findings. The results of the review indicate that the use of digital learning media such as e-books and Quizizz has the potential to increase students' motivation, engagement, and active participation in learning evaluation activities. Therefore, the developed media are considered theoretically feasible as an innovative learning evaluation tool that aligns with the characteristics and needs of elementary school students.

Abstract

The Elementary School Teaching Assistance Program (AMSD) aims to improve the competency of prospective elementary school teachers through direct involvement in various academic and non-academic activities at school. This program was implemented at SDN 14 Biru involving 10 students majoring in Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, Makassar State University for approximately one month. The implementation method used a participatory approach that included observation, design, implementation, and reflection stages. The results of the activity showed that through AMSD, students gained real-life experiences that helped them understand their roles and responsibilities as educators. In addition, students also had the opportunity to develop creative abilities, hone pedagogical skills, and instill a resilient and disciplined attitude in students through involvement in dance training, flag ceremonies, and scouting.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPAS) tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran yang monoton, didominasi oleh metode ceramah, sehingga siswa kurang antusias, sulit berkonsentrasi, dan kurang aktif berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar melalui implementasi teknik ice breaking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiapsiklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan: Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Observasi, dan Refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 16 siswa kelas V. data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar siswa, kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peningkatan motivasi belajar yang signifikan. Rata-rata skor motivasi belajar siswa meningkat dari 11,87% (Kategori Tidak Baik) pada pra-siklus menjadi 69,62% (Kategori Baik) pada siklus 1 dan meningkat menjadi 84,87% (Kategori Sangat Baik) pada siklus II. Siswa menjadi lebih antusias, lebih aktif berpartisipasi, dan lebih berani dalam menyampaikan pendapat. Implementasi ice breaking yang terencana dan variatif terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan serta secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V.
