Abstract

This community service program was carried out to enhance students’ creativity through the implementation of a digital learning module based on the Team Based Project approach at MTs Al-Hidayah Rajabasa. The partner school faced challenges related to students’ low creative thinking skills and the limited use of innovative digital learning media. To address these issues, the service team provided training on the use of digital modules, facilitated project-based learning activities, and evaluated students’ creative development through pre- and post-assessments. Throughout the program, students participated in group discussions, case explorations, and project completion tasks that encouraged flexible thinking and collaborative creativity. The results showed a significant increase in students’ creativity, with the average score rising from 58 to 77.91, representing an improvement of approximately 35.31%. This positive outcome indicates that team-based project learning supported by digital modules is an effective solution for developing students’ creativity. The program is expected to serve as an alternative model for schools in integrating 21st-century skills into classroom practices.

Abstract

Background: Stroke patients must comply with medication and undergo rehabilitation to prevent recurrent attacks. Self-efficacy plays a significant role in patient adherence to and compliance with these programs. Post-stroke patients have varying functional statuses, which may result in differences in their levels of self-efficacy in carrying out these programs. Purpose: To identify the relationship between patients' self-efficacy in undergoing rehabilitation and treatment. Method: A correlational descriptive study using accidental sampling conducted on 69 post-stroke patients. Data were collected using the Stroke Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (SSEQ), the Self-Efficacy for Appropriate Medication use Scale (SEAMS), and the Barthel Index. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's analysis. Results: Most respondents (40.6%) had high self-efficacy in rehabilitation, 62.3% had high self-efficacy in medication, and 56.5% had mild dependence. There was a significant relationship between self-efficacy in carrying out rehabilitation and the functional status of patients (p = 0.000), and there was a significant relationship between self-efficacy in carrying out medication and the functional status of patients (p = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy in undergoing rehabilitation and treatment and the functional status of patients. Health workers, especially nurses, must motivate patients to undergo treatment and rehabilitation, particularly those with low functional status. Keywords: Functional Status; Rehabilitation; Self-Efficacy; Treatment.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance financial literacy and strengthen blue economy awareness as a foundation for sustainable economic development among the Pole Maupa fishermen community in Majene, West Sulawesi. The program seeks to improve basic financial recording skills, strengthen collective financial management, and increase awareness of sustainable fishing practices and value-added product diversification. The activities included socialization, financial recording training using a pocketbook, blue economy education, and training on fish-based product diversification. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments consisting of 6 items on financial literacy and 5 items on blue economy and product diversification. A participatory approach was applied with active involvement of lecturers and students. Post-test results indicated a substantial improvement: 100% of participants were able to record cash flow, 85% separated household and business finances, and 90% participated in collective fund management. In terms of blue economy outcomes, 90% understood the blue economy concept, 95% demonstrated awareness of coastal ecosystem protection, and 100% committed to avoiding destructive fishing gear. Additionally, 90% showed interest in developing value-added products such as fish floss and smoked fish. Financial literacy gains also reduced reliance on informal lenders, decreasing from 75% to 35%. The program effectively improved the economic and ecological capacity of fishermen and strengthened collaboration between the community and the university. These results highlight the importance of local institutional support in sustaining coastal community empowerment.

Abstract

Abstract. This study explores the experiences of minority nurses in Makassar City who face racism in the workplace, using feminism and pragmatics theories. The high incidence of racism negatively impacts the psychological and professional well-being of minority nurses. This study aimed to understand minority nurses' responses and strategies to racism and identify expected support from hospital management. A qualitative method with purposive sampling was used to select informants, with data collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results show that minority nurses face various forms of racism, such as prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, and segregation. Based on the analysis from a feminist perspective, most of the key informants said there was no significant difference in the division of tasks between male and female nurses. Other informants stated that there were prominent differences in the division of tasks between nurses based on gender. Positively, results showed that informants were professional and calm in the face of racism, using strategies such as sharing stories with coworkers, pursuing hobbies, and exercising to reduce pressure. Informants expected strict sanctions for perpetrators of racism and anti-racism training for the new workforce. In conclusion, institutional support and clear policies are needed to protect the rights of minority nurses and address racism in the workplace. Keywords: Nurse, Minority, Racism, Feminism,   Pragmatics
