Abstract

Increasingly complex environmental problems require an effective educational approach to build the character and attitude of environmental care from an early age. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Sahabat Pohon Program in building character and attitudes of environmental care in elementary school students, analyzing its impact, identifying factors that influence its effectiveness, as well as challenges and opportunities for its implementation. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was conducted using interview techniques, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the Sahabat Pohon Program is effective enough in building character and environmental care attitudes, marked by an increase in ecological awareness, sense of responsibility, and pro-environmental behavior of students. Key success factors include direct experience with nature, curriculum integration, and community support. The main challenges include limited resources and curriculum integration, while the program opens up opportunities for the development of more comprehensive environmental education.

Abstract

The development of technology in the era of globalization may have a negative impact on students. Technology provides easy access to information, values and norms that are not in accordance with the values and norms of the Indonesian nation. Young learners are not fully capable of filtering the information, which can lead to moral degradation. This research aims to examine how multicultural education-based curriculum approaches and models to overcome the negative impact of gadgets and the internet on students in the classroom learning process in instilling multicultural values. This research design is a literature study. The results showed that in implementing multicultural education, the role of educators is needed in instilling life values in shaping individual characters that reflect the nation's identity. Multicultural education as a field of study also needs to continue to be the main concern in education in Indonesia so that if a certain condition occurs or even the next global revolution, the implementation of this multicultural education approach remains relevant to multiculturalism and nationalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore in-depth the strategies employed by the school principal in developing Pancasila students who are faithful and pious at SDN 01 Karanganyar, and how these strategies contribute to improving educational quality. This study uses a qualitative approach designed as a case study. The subjects of the research include the principal, teachers, and students of SDN 01 Karanganyar. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. To enhance the validity and reliability of the research, data triangulation was conducted. The results show that the structured and contextual strategies implemented at SDN 01 Karanganyar successfully created Pancasila students who are faithful, pious, and of noble character. The implementation of the teacher’s affection strategy in religious activities demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ religious habits and character.

Abstract

Through a systematic literature review, this study aimed to investigate STEM-based curriculum development strategies, identify key challenges in their implementation, and assess the impact of STEM-based curriculum implementation on students' capabilities in the digital era. We used a systematic literature review approach to identify, analyze, and synthesize findings from relevant studies. This research offers novelty by focusing on developing country contexts and using a comprehensive SLR approach. The results demonstrated several ways to implement STEM-based curriculum development strategies, including: 1) interdisciplinary integration. 2) project- and problem-based learning; 3) student-centered learning; 4) utilization of digital technology-based learning media; and 5) development of 21st-century competencies. The 21st century requires critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills, all of which STEM education can enhance. However, there are various challenges in its implementation, especially in developing countries, including limited resources, infrastructure, and teacher training. This research pinpoints effective strategies to surmount these challenges, including enhancing teacher training, building infrastructure, and incorporating technology into the learning process. The research is novel because it focuses on developing country contexts and uses a comprehensive SLR approach. The findings provide practical recommendations for educators and policymakers in implementing effective STEM curricula, as well as contributions to the academic literature in STEM education. Therefore, we anticipate that this research will contribute to the advancement of inclusive and high-quality education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum implementation in elementary schools. This research uses the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) research method, SLR (Systematic Literature Review) is a method used to refer to certain research methodologies and developments carried out by collecting and evaluating research related to the focus of a particular topic. Data collection both from journal articles, books, proceedings, and other accessible articles. The articles reviewed came from Publish and Parish from 2017 to 2024. The purpose of SLR is to analyze, find, review, and interpret previous research on the implementation of the independent curriculum implementation in primary schools. In this study, 200 relevant articles were found and then filtered based on the inclusion criteria, resulting in 15 articles used for the primary study. The results of this study provide insight that the independent curriculum has been implemented and implemented in elementary schools. And the implementation of this independent curriculum is effective in improving knowledge and skills, because in the independent curriculum there are project activities that can improve character, namely the character contained in the Pancasila student profile. In implementing the independent curriculum, there are several obstacles that come from the teacher factor. However, these obstacles can be minimized in various ways, namely teachers getting training on the independent curriculum, cooperation and coordination of all parties involved, and involving teachers in curriculum development.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low creative thinking skills of students in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze the effect of the PjBL-STEM learning model assisted by Life Cycle Diology LKPD on students' creative thinking skills. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental design (one group pretest-posttest design). The subjects of this study were 30 fifth-grade students who were selected using the saturated sample technique. Data were collected through essay tests that measured indicators of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research instrument used was an essay test. Data analysis was conducted through prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) and hypothesis testing with a t-test. This study found that applying the PjBL-STEM model assisted by Life Cycle Diology LKPD positively impacted student creative thinking skills development. The PjBL-STEM model provides a structured framework for students to combine knowledge from various disciplines, solve problems creatively, and produce original work. Thus, the PjBL-STEM learning model assisted by Life Cycle Diology LKPD effectively improves students' creative thinking skills. The implications of this study indicate that applying the PjBL-STEM model assisted by Life Cycle Diology LKPD effectively develops students' creative thinking skills, which are essential skills of the 21st century. This research significantly improves education quality through innovative and effective learning approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the development of Islamic education modules integrated with Maja Labo Dahu culture that can improve the character of elementary school students. Module development was conducted at State Elementary School 45 Pane, Bima City, using the Borg and Gall model development research (RD) method. The results of the product validity test of the Maja Labo Dahu culture-integrated Islamic education module showed a score of 3.60, which was included in the very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the small group, limited-scale trial consisting of 20 students of State Elementary School 45 Pane, Bima City with a sample of 18 grade V students, it shows the effectiveness of improving student character in learning activities using Islamic education modules integrated with Maja Labo Dahu culture. The results of the data analysis of student character observations are also in the good category, with an average value of 3.33. We know that 50% of students meet the good attitude criteria. Thus, the development of Islamic education teaching modules integrated with Maja Labo Dahu culture has a positive impact on improving the character values of elementary school students.

Abstract

Lack of learning media has an impact on low student learning outcomes. This study aims to produce an effective website-based Arabic digital comic media to improve vocabulary mastery and reading skills. This research and development (RnD) study uses the Borg and Gall development research model, which refers to 10 stages. The research subjects are material experts and media experts. The trial subjects consisted of 96 grade IV elementary school students. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The techniques used to analyze the data are qualitative, quantitative, descriptive analysis, and inferential statistics. The study results showed that digital comic media obtained a score of 99 from material experts with very feasible criteria. The website-based Arabic digital comic media also obtained a score of 120 from media experts with feasible criteria. Digital comic media meets the criteria of practicality based on initial and foremost field trials. The digital comic media produced has met the criteria for effectively improving grade IV elementary school students' vocabulary mastery and reading skills. This is based on the N-gain score, which shows that the value of vocabulary mastery and reading skills in the experimental class is higher than in the control group. The results of the MANOVA test show that digital comic media can improve the mastery of vocabulary and the ability to read Arabic. It is concluded that website-based Arabic digital comics can improve the mastery of vocabulary and the ability to read Arabic of grade IV elementary school students. The implication of this research is that website-based Arabic language digital comic media can be used to help students learn.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan urgensi penggantian Kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka di Indonesia. Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan inovasi pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan relevansi pendidikan dengan mengintegrasikan kebebasan, inovasi, dan kemampuan siswa untuk menyesuaikan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan. Sumber data berupa buku, jurnal, paper, artikel, dan karya ilmiah lainnya yang relevan dengan objek kajian penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum 2013 memiliki beberapa kekurangan, seperti kurangnya pemahaman dan persiapan guru, keterbatasan dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter, serta kesulitan dalam penerapan secara konsisten di kelas. Kurikulum Merdeka diharapkan dapat mengatasi kelemahan tersebut dengan menawarkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, pengembangan soft skill dan karakter siswa, serta struktur kurikulum yang fleksibel. Kurikulum Merdeka juga menggabungkan kemampuan literasi, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan teknologi. Dalam era perkembangan masyarakat 5.0, Kurikulum Merdeka dianggap sebagai langkah yang tepat dalam mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan zaman yang cepat berubah. Artikel ini juga membahas peran guru sebagai kunci keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pembahasan dan pengambilan keputusan terkait arah pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of KH Ahmad Dahlan's teachings as a strategy for dealing with sexual violence in the educational environment. The approach used in this study is a systematic literature review, which allows researchers to compile findings comprehensively based on published scientific sources. Data were collected from various academic literature, including journal articles, scientific books, and relevant documents that discuss the teachings of KH Ahmad Dahlan, Islamic values, and the issue of sexual violence in educational environments. The analysis was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative method, which emphasizes the interpretation of the concept and values of moral and spiritual education in the teachings of KH Ahmad Dahlan. The results of the study show that the teachings of KH Ahmad Dahlan, which are rooted in the principles of progressive Islam, humanitarian values, and the spirit of educational renewal, have strong relevance in responding to the issue of sexual violence in academic environments. Through an emphasis on morality, respect for human dignity, gender equality, and the importance of character building, the teachings of KH Ahmad Dahlan are used as a strategic foundation in building a more ethical, humanistic, and transformative system for preventing and handling sexual violence.
