Abstract

This research employs fuzzy linear programming with Mamdani fuzzy logic to predict electricity consumption in Medan City. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the years 2019-2023, including population, electricity customers, Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB), and electricity consumption, were analyzed quantitatively. Data processing involved fuzzification, rule formation, rule composition, and defuzzification, with simulations and testing conducted using MATLAB software. The research findings indicate a forecasting error rate of 1.514%, demonstrating effective performance in predicting electricity consumption. Elasticity analysis reveals that electricity consumption in Medan City is significantly influenced by PDRB, providing crucial insights for future energy planning.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of conflict management, employee engagement, and work-life balance on employee productivity at BPS North Sumatra with employee well-being as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, this study involved 111 BPS Sumatera Utara Province employees through total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that conflict management, employee engagement, and work-life balance positively and significantly influence employee productivity, both directly and through the mediation of employee well-being. Employee well-being effectively mediates the influence of all three independent variables on employee productivity. This study provides recommendations for improving employee productivity through effective conflict management, enhanced employee engagement, and optimization of work-life balance.

Abstract

A prevailing phenomenon indicates that government appraisers at the State Asset and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) in Medan still employ conventional methods for the rental valuation of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) placements. This practice contradicts the Decree of the Director General of State Assets Number 547/KN/2022, which mandates the use of the Valuation Component and Survey List (DKPS) model through a desktop valuation approach. Addressing this discrepancy, this study aims to analyze the factors that influence the determination of ATM placement rental values in Medan City, thereby providing a basis for the development of a more objective valuation model. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis to identify the influence of variables such as distance to the Central Business District (CBD), transaction year, leased object type, ATM space type, lease period, accessibility, and area designation. The findings reveal that distance to the CBD has a significant negative effect on rental value. Conversely, transaction year, the type of leased object, space type, lease period, and designation as a shopping center or public service area exhibit a positive and significant influence. While accessibility and road type showed a positive correlation, their effects were not statistically significant. The resulting regression model achieved an R-squared value of 96.37%, demonstrating its excellent capability in explaining the variance in rental values. These findings provide a robust empirical foundation for government appraisers to transition to the regulated desktop valuation method. Moreover, the results offer critical insights for ATM owners in optimizing location selection. This study recommends that the significant factors identified be integrated into the DKPS model to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of ATM rental valuations at KPKNL Medan, ultimately supporting the financial performance of asset owners.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors that influence shophouse values in Makassar City, Indonesia, using a spatial regression model. The research addresses the lack of prior studies that consider spatial dependencies in property value assessments. By analysing data from 101 shophouses across four distinct city strata, factors such as building area, certificate type, and road width were found to significantly impact property values. Additionally, spatial relationships between neighboring properties were observed, indicating a 0.3 positive correlation. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the R Project for Statistical Computing. The results provide insights into the spatial dynamics of urban property values, which are valuable for urban planners, investors, and policymakers aiming to optimize real estate development in rapidly growing urban centres.

Abstract

Efficient waste transportation requires route planning that considers time constraints, vehicle capacity, and road conditions. This study develops a Multi-Objective Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows model to optimize waste collection routes in Batu Bara Regency. The model simultaneously optimizes three objective functions: minimizing total travel distance, travel time, and risk based on road conditions. The solution is obtained using a Genetic Algorithm, with field data serving as model input. Simulation results show that the proposed model produces more efficient and realistic routes compared to conventional methods. The model effectively accommodates vehicle capacity constraints and customer service time windows. With the Genetic Algorithm, the solutions are not only operationally effective but also adaptable to the complex road network in the study area. These results can inform local government and waste management agencies in developing more adaptive and data-driven routing strategies, leading to cost savings, improved service efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Moreover, the model can be extended or customized for other public logistics problems, such as food distribution or emergency response in semi-urban areas with similar infrastructure constraints. Future research can enhance this model by incorporating dynamic traffic data, multi-depot scenarios, or integrating sustainability metrics such as fuel consumption and emissions.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the internet is increasingly sophisticated and continues to develop, especially in the field of marketing, both in national and international markets. This competition is coupled with selectiveness. Companies must be able to communicate their products to consumers in selecting products for consumption. Under conditions like this, companies must be responsive to consumer desires. One of the popular e-commerce sites in Indonesia is Shopee.co.id. In this research, the independent variables are price (X1) and convenience (X2), while the dependent variable is the online purchasing decision (Y). This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of price and shopping convenience on online purchasing decisions of students from the Faculty of Computer Science at the E-Commerce Shoppe. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data processed is the result of distributing questionnaires to students of the Faculty of Computer Science at events using Google Form. The number of samples that will be used is 86 students. The sampling technique is: accidental sampling. In analyzing the data, the instruments used are the validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression equation, f test, t test, and coefficient of determination test. The results of this research show that the results of the multiple linear test show that price has a negative and significant effect , comfort has a positive and significant effect. significant to online purchasing decisions of St. Catholic University Computer Science students.
