Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a diverse intra-curricular learning framework that maximizes content to allow learners ample time to understand concepts and strengthen competencies. This curriculum demands independence and creativity in teaching and learning, necessitating engaging and effective educational media. The FLS offers innovative solutions for creating interactive and engaging digital teaching materials. This study aims to assist teachers at Ma'arif Perintis 04 Senior High School in Tempurejo Village, Jember, in utilizing and implementing FLS to develop quality teaching materials in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. The training activity approach is Participatory Rural Appraisal. With FLS, the learning process is expected to become more engaging, interactive, and effective, enhancing student interest and learning outcomes. The research methodology included identifying the needs and challenges faced by teachers in preparing teaching materials, training in flipbook creation using specific software, intensive mentoring in digital teaching material development, and evaluating and providing feedback on the created materials. The results indicated improved teachers' competencies in creating digital teaching materials using FLS. Teachers were able to produce appealing flipbooks that aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum standards. Moreover, using flipbooks in learning has increased student participation and motivation. Evaluations were conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to assess the effectiveness of the training and the implementation of FLS in teaching. The findings show that this mentorship successfully improved the quality of the teaching materials. The hope for the future is that teachers can be more creative and innovative in creating learning in the classroom. Top of Form

Abstract

Abstract, this research aims to reveal students' cognitive abilities and collaboration skills by studying marine macroinvertebrates at Bama Beach, Baluran National Park, using the RCCDE learning model. The type of research is quasi-experimental, one group design. The independent variable of this research is the RCCDE learning model, and the dependent variables are cognitive ability and collaboration skills. Cognitive ability is measured with a test after the learning activities, using 25 multiple-choice questions, each scoring 4 points for a correct answer and 0 points for an incorrect answer. Collaboration skills are measured using observation, employing an observation sheet adapted from Greenstein, 2012. The data from this research were analyzed using MANOVA with the help of SPSS v25. The results of the simultaneous influence analysis between the RCCDE model on cognitive abilities and collaborative skills obtained a significance value of 0.000 (>0.05), which means there is a simultaneous influence between the RCCDE model on cognitive abilities and collaborative skills. The results of the partial influence analysis between the RCCDE model on cognitive abilities and collaborative skills obtained a significance value of 0.000 (>0.05). Thus, there is a simultaneous influence between the RCCDE model on cognitive abilities and collaborative skills and a partial influence between the RCCDE model on cognitive abilities. There is a partial influence between the RCCDE model on collaborative skills. This research informs that there is a significant influence on the learning of marine macroinvertebrates at Bama Beach, Indonesia, using the RCCDE model on students' cognitive abilities and collaboration skills.

Abstract

Dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan, pengelolaan administrasi sekolah yang baik sangat dibutuhkan untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan kepada pihak-pihak terkait dan untuk menghasilkan kinerja yang lebih baik. Ketepatan, keakuratan dan kecepatan penyajian data/informasi merupakan faktor penting dalam mengelola administrasi yang baik. Salah satu tugas tenaga administrasi sekolah dalam suatu instansi pendidikan adalah surat menyurat, karena itu administrasi sekolah sering disebut pekerjaan tulis menulis yang menghasilkan surat dan kemudian terkumpul menjadi arsip. Pengelolaan surat menyurat perlu diterapkan untuk masing-masing instansi pendidikan, karena merupakan sumber data atau informasi yang bermanfaat untuk kemajuan instansi pendidikan tersebut secara maksimal. Sumber data atau informasi yang digunakan adalah surat.Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) bagaimana pengelolaan administrasi surat menyurat di SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari Kabupaten Pasuruan, 2) Sarana apa saja yang digunakan dalam pengelolaan surat menyurat, 3) Kendala-kendala apa yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaan surat menyurat.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui pengelolaan administrasi surat menyurat di SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari Kabupaten Pasuruan. 2) Untuk mengetahui sarana apa saja yang digunakan dalam pengelolaan administrasi surat menyurat. 3) Untuk mengetahui kendala apa saja yang terjadi dalam pengelolaan administrasi surat menyurat.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan metode observasi, interview atau wawancara dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prosedur pengelolaan surat menyurat di SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari Kabupaten Pasuruan bisa dikatakan berjalan dengan baik dan lancar karena seluruh kegiatan surat menyurat di SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari Kabupaten Pasuruan mengacu pada Peraturan Bupati Pasuruan Nomor : 40 Tahun 2011 Tentang Tata Naskah Dinas di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Pasuruan. Meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan, Perlu segera dilakukan pelatihan mengenai pengelolaan sura menyuratt. Sarana untuk pengelolaan surat menyurat harus dalam keadaan baik dari segi kualitas dan kuantitas agar pengelolaan surat berjalan dengan lancar. Oleh karena itu sarana yang digunakan dalam pengelolaan surat menyurat di SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari Kabupaten Pasuruan masih harus ditambah agar pengelolaan surat dapat ditangani dengan baik. Kendala yang ada yaitu kurangnya kontrol terhadap beredarnya surat di dalam kantor. Oleh karena itu peneliti menyarankan agar pengelola surat meningkatkan kontrol terhadap beredarnya surat di dalam kantor, sehingga tidak ada surat yang belum diarsipkan karena masih berada pada pembuat surat dan dalam pengembalian surat agar selalu melalui sepengetahuan pengelola surat dan disimpan pengelola surat.Kata Kunci : Pengelolaan dan Administrasi Sekolah

Abstract

Metacognition refers to the capacity for supervising, arranging, and directing the process of learning, while argumentation skills encompass the aptitude to construct and validate logical points. Proficiency in problem-solving holds a crucial role within the realm of scientific education. This research aims to explore the interconnection between metacognitive skills, argumentation skills, and problem-solving abilities in the domain of biology education. Employing a correlational research design, the investigation encompassed 118 students engaged in biology studies within the University of Jember's Biology Education Study Program during the academic term of 2022/2023, specifically within the Introduction to Education Science course. The research instrument utilized was a survey featuring 10 queries for each category—metacognitive skills, argumentation skills, and problem-solving abilities. Statistical analysis involved inferential methods, particularly multiple linear regression correlation. The findings unveiled a positive correlation between students' metacognitive skills and argumentation skills and their adeptness in problem-solving within the context of biology learning, signified by a noteworthy p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This finding shows the importance of developing metacognitive skills and argumentation skills in improving students' problem solving abilities in learning. The implication of this finding can be used to design more effective learning strategies in improving metacognitive skills, argumentation skills and students' problem solving in biology subjects

Abstract

SDN Temenggungan, a public elementary school in the center of Banyuwangi City, faces various challenges related to parental participation, limited facilities, and conflicts with the local community. The community service program that was implemented was planned for two years with the aim of improving the quality of education in this school through the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum (Kurmer). In the first year, the program focused on teacher training, curriculum development, and increasing parental participation. The community service method used was participatory action, involving all related parties actively in the process of diagnosing problems, planning actions, implementing, evaluating, and specifying recommendations. The results of the activities showed that the implementation of Standards 1-4 went well, teachers successfully implemented innovative teaching methods, and students showed increased participation. Although social and economic challenges still exist, significant progress has been made in creating a more inclusive learning environment and supporting student development. This program provides a strong foundation for schools to continue to improve the quality of education and overcome future challenges.

Abstract

Exploration of ethnopedagogical values of the Osing tribe is essential to uncover the values of biological characters because the Osing tribe 3closely related to the application of biological science, for example, in utilizing plants for traditional ceremonial activities or as medicinal plants. This study aims to explore the character values contained in the folk song of the Osing Banyuwangi tribe, related to the formation of attitudes or characters needed in studying biology. The study was conducted using a survey method using structured interview techniques, semi-structured interviews, and in-depth interviews of 15 informants selected using Purposive Sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis consists of 3 stages: data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions. The results of the study mentioned that the ethno-pedagogical values are found in “Tetak-tetak” and “Nggolek Ilmu” folk song of Fatrah-Abal. These two songs express explicit and implicit values of biological characters. The tetak-tetak and nggolek ilmu folk song became a community media in instilling the attitude or character values needed in studying biology at pre-school age. These values ​​will be further developed in learning biology in schools, which are carried out in an integrated manner in affective aspect.

Abstract

630 kVA, 20 kV/400 Volt transformer is a distribution transformer that supplies electrical loads at the Aviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. In a distribution transformer if the inter phase load is unbalanced there will be a neutral current flowing in the neutral wire.  This load imbalance is caused by single-phase loads on a 220 Volt low voltage network. The current flowing in the neutral of this transformer causes losses, namely due to the presence of neutral current in the neutral conductor of the transformer and losses due to neutral current flowing to the ground. After analyzing the peak load during the day of 79.92% and load imbalance during the day of 12.23%, then there is a neutral current of 181 Amperes and losses due to neutral currents flowing to the ground of 7, 26%, and transformer efficiency  at the day of 88.5 %.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCivic education plays a strategic role in shaping national character through the internalization of Pancasila values. However, the implementation of civic education across various educational levels still faces challenges, particularly regarding the lack of contextual and participatory learning approaches. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Pancasila value-based learning methods in Civic Education (PKn) in secondary schools. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted through literature study and field observation, focusing on interactive methods, case study, value project, role simulation, and academic debate. Results showed an increase in student participation and understanding of Pancasila values. The strategies of strengthening teacher capacity, contextual teaching materials, and technology integration are the keys to success. The findings provide a value-based Civics learning model that is adaptive and relevant in character education in Indonesia.ABSTRAKPendidikan kewarganegaraan memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter bangsa melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila. Namun, implementasi pembelajaran kewarganegaraan di berbagai jenjang pendidikan masih menghadapi tantangan, terutama terkait dengan pendekatan metode pembelajaran yang kurang kontekstual dan partisipatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode pembelajaran berbasis nilai Pancasila dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di sekolah menengah. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan observasi lapangan, dengan fokus pada metode interaktif, studi kasus, proyek nilai, simulasi peran, dan debat akademik. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi siswa dan pemahaman nilai Pancasila. Strategi penguatan kapasitas guru, bahan ajar kontekstual, dan integrasi teknologi menjadi kunci keberhasilan. Temuan ini memberikan model pembelajaran PKn berbasis nilai yang adaptif dan relevan dalam pendidikan karakter di Indonesia.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile (PSP) character is an important element in forming an excellent and integrity-filled generation of Indonesians, because this research has only been done very little. The objective of this research should be to analyze the influence of PjBL learning on the PSP  character and the dimensions of cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity through the local wisdom of the Hylocereus sp. plant. The type of research is quasi-experimental, with a two-treatment group design. The independent variable uses PjBL learning, and the dependent variable is PSP in biology learning, including practical training in making Bokashi and maintaining dragon fruit plants. The population in this study was students of SMP Negeri 2 Pesanggaran, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The research sample consists of students undertaking a local wisdom project, 30 students in group A and 30 students in group B, for a total of 60 people. Instrument research is an observation sheet of the PSP character adapted from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The data obtained were analyzed using multivariate analysis, namely MANOVA. The research results indicate a simultaneous effect of the PjBL learning model on the PSP character and a partial effect on the dimensions of cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity (sig < 0.05). Thus, local wisdom-based projects have proven to be an effective strategy in supporting the achievement of the PSP character and efforts for the sustainability of natural resources. Integration of local wisdom into learning can be an innovative strategy to support the sustainability of natural resources while forming students with integrity by Pancasila values.

Abstract

The STEAMRel-PBL learning model equipped with authentic e-assessment is used in ecology and biodiversity learning to determine its influence on critical reasoning skills and the achievement of aspects of piety, especially students' morals towards nature. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEAMRel-PBL learning model equipped with authentic e-assessment on the achievement of students' attitude of piety, especially their morals towards nature and their ability to reason critically in ecological learning. The research design carried out was a quasi-experiment of one pretest-post-test group. The research involved 30 grade VII students. Data collection techniques were carried out using pretest-post-test instruments, interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using the N-Gain formula and calculation with a Likert scale. The results showed that the N-Gain value score showed that the STEAMRel-PBL model equipped with authentic e-assessment demonstrates significant influence in the development of students' critical reasoning. All critical reasoning indicators are on the criteria of developing as expected. The dimension of faith in fear of God Almighty is assessed using a questionnaire instrument that contains moral indicators towards nature. The results of the moral assessment of students are in the criteria of developing according to expectations, with the average student achievement being 86.88. Religious values help students reflect on God's role in His creation through science, which further strengthens their piety.
