Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan pembelajaran sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan berbasis web dengan visualisasi dan simulasi. Penelitian ini dikatakan layak jika hasil penilaian kelayakan dari pakar media dan materi 70% dan hasil belajar klasikal ≥ 75% di atas nilai KKM. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R & D) yang akan menghasilkan web pembelajaran pada materi sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan di MTs Negeri. Hasil analisis penilaian kelayakan pakar materi adalah 85% dan hasil penilaian oleh pakar media 75,76%. Pada uji coba skala terbatas hasil belajar siswa mencapai 100%. Pada uji coba pemakaian kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Terbukti dengan pencapaian hasil belajar kelas eksperimen ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 100% dan pada kelas kontrol ketuntasan klasikalnya hanya 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan media pembelajaran biologi berbasis web dengan visualisasi dan simulasi layak digunakan pada materi sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan di MTs Negeri.   The purpose of this study was to know the appropriateness of web based learning system plant life topic with visualization and simulation. The experiment was considered succesfull if the results of quality assessment of media experts and materials was 70% and the results of classical learning ≥ 75% was which above the standard of KKM. This study was a Research and Development (R & D) that the result is web-learning system material in the plant life in the MTs. The results of expert analysis for feasibility assessment of the material was 85% and the results of expert assessment for the media is 75.76%. On a limited scale trial, students assessment reached 100%. On the trial application, experiment class performed better than the control class. It could be showed by study result assessment in the experiment class. The classical completeness was 100% and the control class was 75%. Based on the results, it could be concluded that the use of web-based biology learning media with visualization and simulation was appropriate to be used in the system in the living plant material in MTs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan strategi bioedutainment berbantuan kartu Biodomino dan LKS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan di SMP N 1 Madukara Banjarnegara. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian seluruh kelas VIII. Kelas VIII E sebagai eksperimen dan VIII D kontrol ditentukan dengan random sampling. Data berupa perbedaan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan uji-t, peningkatan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan uji N-gain, aktivitas dan tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen > kontrol yaitu 85,94 > 72,47. Uji-t hasil belajar siswa thitung = 6,065 > ttabel = 2,00. Uji N-gain menunjukan jumlah siswa kelas eksperimen yang peningkatan hasil belajarnya sedang dan tinggi yaitu 56,25% + 43,75% = 100%, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 68,75%. Jumlah siswa aktif kelas eksperimen > kontrol yaitu 92,19% > 77,34%. Tanggapan semua siswa kelas eksperimen terhadap penerapan strategi bioedutainment berbantuan kartu Biodomino dan LKS baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan strategi bioedutainment berbantuan kartu Biodomino dan LKS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan di SMP N 1 Madukara Banjarnegara. This research aimed to find the implementation of bioedutainment strategy assisted by biodomino card and student worksheets was able to improve learning outcome of plant tissue structure and function material in SMP N 1 Madukara Banjarnegara. Research applied in pretest-posttest control group design. The population was VIII grade students, VIII E as experiment class and VIII D as control class which were determined by random sampling. Data of differences students’ learning outcome analyzed using t-test, improvement of learning outcome were analyzed using N-gain test, activity and student response were analyzed by descriptive quantitative technique. The result of the research showed that learning outcome average of experiment class students > control class, which was 85.94 > 72.47. The t-test result was tcalculated = 6,065 > ttable = 2,00. N-gain test showed the students experiment class that learning outcome improvement were as high as 56,25% + 43,75% = 100% control class while only 68.75%. Active student in experiment class was more than in control class, which was 92.19% > 77.34%. All experiment class students give their respons toward the learning strategy using bioedutainment assisted by biodomino card and students’ worksheets well. The resume of this study is implementation of bioedutainment strategy assisted by biodomino card and student worksheets were able to improve learning outcome of plant tissues structure and function material in SMP 1 Madukara Banjarnegara.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif pembelajaran model project based learning (PjBL) materi sistem ekskresi manusia terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari tes tertulis, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan lembar observasi, tanggapan siswa diperoleh dari lembar angket, dan tanggapan guru diperoleh dari lembar wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang sangat signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut ditunjukkan oleh rerata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dan pencapaian ketuntasan belajar klasikal kelas eksperimen yang juga lebih tinggi (81%) dibanding kelas kontrol (31%). Siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan sangat baik terhadap model pembelajaran PjBL yang diterapkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran model PjBL materi sistem ekskresi yang diterapkan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. This study aimed to determine the positive influence of Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model which is taught in excretory system concept to student learning outcomes. This study was Quasi Experimental with nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Student learning outcomes were obtained from written tests, learning activity by observation sheet, student responses from questionnaire sheets, and teacher’s responses from questionnaires. The results showed that there were very significant differences in learning outcomes between experimental and control class. These results showed by the average of experiment class posttest score which was higher than control class and by classical mastery learning achievement of experimental class which was also higher (81%) compared to the control group (31%). Students and teachers responded very well to the applied learning model. Based on the results, Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in excretory system concept positively affected student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the learning activities and test the effectiveness of the use of flash media microscope in biology lab. Research using a design research and development that includes four stages, namely field observations, the implementation of media development, media validation, and implementation of the pilot (small scale and large scale). Small-scale trials were conducted at SMAN 5 Magelang class XI MIA-1 and large-scale trials were conducted at SMAN 5 Magelang XI MIA-1 and XI MIA-3 classes. Validation results from media experts and microscopes experts were 82% and 69%, respectively, with good criteria. The results of the small-scale trials showed a positive response to the flash media using the microscope, while the large scale trials showed results of 82% of students with criteria skilled in using a microscope. The result of questionnaire of student responses shows very good criteria to flash media learning of microscope usage and good on all aspect asked, while teacher give very good response. Based on the results of research ,it is concluded that the use of microscope flash media developed feasible in optimizing the activities of Biology lab works.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran IPA belum meningkatkan kompetensi siswa secara utuh. Hal ini terjadi karena Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) yang digunakan belum memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk memperluas kemampuan yang dimilikinya dan kurang dapat menunjang  dalam kemampuan berpikir ilmiah. Sedangkan prinsip tekanan dalam kehidupan merupakan pokok bahasan dalam pembelajaran IPA yang  membutuhkan pengamatan atau praktikum untuk dapat menemukan konsep tekanan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk itu perlu dikembangkan LKS yang dapat memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk memperluas kemampuan yang dimilikinya. LKS dikembangkan yaitu berupa LKS berbasis probex (predict, observe, explain). Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan research and development. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis probex tema prinsip tekanan dalam kehidupan dapat dikatakan layak oleh pakar sesuai dengan standar kelayakan BSNP. Pada uji coba skala terbatas dan luas, LKS berbasis probex mendapat respon sangat baik oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LKS berbasis probex berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir ilmiah siswa.  Based on the observation it is obtained that science learning activity hasn’t been able to improve student competency. This happened because the student worksheets as the used didn’t give students the opportunity to improve their capabilities and support to develop their scientific thinking skills. More over, the principle of pressure in life as one of the topic of science subject requires observation or practicum in order to find its concept in the daily life. So, the writter was interested to develop worksheets that can give students the opportunity to improve their capabilities. The development strategy used was probex based worksheets (predict, observe, explain). The design of this study used Research and Development approach, then, the result showed that probex based worksheets was eligible to be used as teaching materials. It was proved by experts judgement that fulfilled the criteria of BSNP.  The worksheets got good respones from teachers and students in both trial stages (small dan large scale). The students learning result was also improved after they got learning activity by using probex based worksheets.

Abstract

The study of “Pedagogical Content Knowledge Development of Science Prospective Teachers in Professional Practice Program” was conducted in one junior high school located in Bandung. The purpose of the study was to analyze the level and pattern of science prospective teachers’ PCK development as measured by CoRe. The study involved students who enrolled professionals practice program. Mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative research was utilized as a method in the study. Data collected by the coding and scoring of the CoRe instruments were analyzed quantitatively; and data gained from observation, documentation, and interviews were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the PCK of prospective teachers are in the maturing PCK (level 3) and growing PCK (level 2). There are two patterns of PCK development showed by prospective teachers i.e. rising and fluctuative. The prospective teachers who are in the mature PCK show the pattern of rising, whereas prospective teachers who are in the growing PCK show fluctuative pattern. The study reveals that external and internal factors influenced the development of PCK. The pattern of guidance, lesson study activities, and intensity guidance are external factors that influenced the pattern of prospective students’ PCK development. Psychological effect that exists between teachers and students, the motivation of self to expand the horizons of knowledge, communication skills, and teaching experiences are the internal factors that influenced the development of prospective teacher PCK. The study suggests that the development of prospective teachers PCK in the program can be improved when supervisor and prospective teachers put consideration to those internal and external factors that influence the development of PCK.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low quality of teachers in Indonesia. Whereas the aspect of the ability of teachers is one of the success factors of Indonesian education. One of the problems that arise in the 2013 curriculum is that the teacher does not understand the process of implementing authentic learning and assessment in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to describe the pedagogic competence of the teacher's ability. The method used in this research is case study. The data collected through the primary study are Pedagogic Competence books and other books as support. The data is processed through data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this study indicate that (1) the teacher's ability to develop the curriculum is in line with pedagogic competence (2) the teacher's ability to carry out assessments and evaluations is not yet in line with pedagogic competence in conducting evaluations. The result is that there is a relevance between the ability of teachers and pedagogic competence in Government Regulation No. 16 of 2007.

Abstract

An F2 rice population developed from a cross between a backcross inbred line (BIO-148) and its recurrent parent (IR64) was used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) for awn, panicle exertion and total spikelet number. BIO-148 is a BC2F8 line derived from a cross between IR64 (a high-yielding lowland rice variety) and Gajah Mungkur (an upland tropical japonica rice variety). Two hundred plants were grown in the greenhouse, and their DNAs were isolated for genotyping using SSR markers. Panicle exertion was observed during the grain-filling stage. The awn length of the seed and the total spikelet number per panicle were observed after harvesting. A total of four QTLs were identified using single-marker regression with LOD>3, explaining 8.4-18.1% of phenotypic variation. A QTL for awn was identified on Chromosome 8. A QTL for incomplete panicle exertion was identified on Chromosome 4. Two QTLs for total spikelet number were identified on Chromosome 4, in which the BIO-148 allele contributed to a higher number of spikelets per panicle. The QTLs identified in this study will be useful in the improvement of yield potential for modern lowland indica rice varieties by harnessing the hidden useful alleles from upland tropical japonica rice varieties.
