Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was to determine the genus of bacteria can produce electricity energy used microbial fuel cell series in waste water of tofu and develop module in enviromental mikrobiology concept in basic microbiology among December 2015- May 2016. This research did by 2 phases : isolate microbial fuel cell bakteria in waste water of tofu and development of the module. This research is descriptive, sampling did by purposive sampling, with pick sample in 3 spot there are 2 m,4 m dan 6 m in river bank from source discharges,with considering the existence of tofu waste clumps in the river source waste disposal. Parameter in this research there are test electrical energy, isolate bacteria of microbial fuel cell, and develop the module of basic microbiology. The highest electricity energy in this research observed on the 40th hour of 67,2 mV,kind of bacteria in microbial fuel cell series in tofu waste water are Entrobacter,Desulfomaculum,Sulfobacterium. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was to determine utilization of organic waste with starter fluid cow rumen raw material for biogas production in March and May 2015. Results of the study are used to enrich the teaching materials in the form of biology modules vocational school Agriculture on the concept of waste management. This research was carried out by two phases: experimentation and enrichment modules. Research conducted experiments using completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial, which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replicates in order to obtain 12 experimental design. If there is a real test there will be a further test Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5%. The parameters observed biogas volume, the color of the flame, calor and power. Enrichment module is performed on the stage of analysis and design. The results showed that the use of organic waste with starter fluid cow rumen could potentially produce methane gas as a source of biogas. Treatment A (25% substrate: 75% starter) are best produce biogas with a biogas volume of 11.57 L, color blue flames, calorific value 5670 J and power 132.98 watts for 28 days of fermentation. The results could be used as an module enrichment for biological subjects Agriculture vocational school on the concept of waste management. Keywords: Module, Organic Waste, Fluid Cow Rumen, Biogas.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of NAA and Kinetin on the growth of explants dragon fruit (Hylocereus costaricensis). This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education University of Riau and Laboratory Biotechnology of Riau Islamic University from May to August 2012, using a completely randomized design of 3 x 3 factorial with four replications. The first factor (N) is the NAA consists of 3 level: 0 ppm, 0.2 ppm and 0.4 ppm. The second factor (K) is the Kinetin consist of 3 level: 0 ppm, 3 ppm and 4 ppm. Parameters measured were percentage grows, the amount of buds and amount of roots. The data were analyzed using ANAVA and tested further by DMRT at 5% level. The results of this research showed of NAA and Kinetin significantly affect the growth of explants Dragon Fruit. The percentage of explants grown 100% all treatments, except treatment N0 K4, N0,2 K0 and N0,2 K3. Highest amount of buds in treatment N0,4 K3 is 2.25 buds and the amount of roots the best treatment of N0,4 K4 is 5.25 roots. Based on the results of the research treatment N0,4 K4 is the best treatment.Keywords: Kinetin, NAA, Tissue culture.

Abstract

Goniothalamus merupakan salah satu genus terbesar Annonaceae yang menjadi sumber ubatan tradisional yang penting di Asia Tengggara. Beberapa bahan bioaktif dari kumpulan terbitan stiril dehidropiron terutama goniothalamin telah dipencilkan dari genus ini dan telah dibuktikan mempunyai potensi sebagai anti kanker. Kandungan goniothalamin yang terdapat pada daun, kulit, batang dan akar daripada 21 spesies Goniothalamus yang terdapat di Semenanjung Malaysia, serta variasi goniothalamin dari lokasi yang berbeza bagi Goniothalamus macrophyllus dikaji secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Kromatografi Cecair Tekanan Tinggi (HPLC). Analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan purata peratus goniothalamin yang tertinggi daripada daun boleh di dapati daripada G. fulvus (5.81%), kulit daripada G. tortilipetalus (12.1%), batang (11.3%) dan akar (13.21%) daripada G. macrophyllus. Manakala lokasi pengambilan sampel G. macrophyllus yang terbaik bagi kandungan goniothalamin adalah Hutan Rekreasi Jambu Bongkok Terengganu. Analisis kuantitatif juga menunjukkan bahawa peratus kandungan goniothalamin bagi setiap lokasi dan spesies didapati berbeza. Secara keseluruhan kandungan goniothalamin yang terbanyak boleh di dapati daripada G. macrophyllus, dan kandungan tertinggi adalah dari sampel yang diambil daripada Hutan Rekreasi Jambu Bongkok, Terengganu.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the increase in soft skills FKIP Riau University Biology students through PBL learning model. Research subjects are biology students 4th semester (four) year 2012/2013, amounting to 19 people. This type of research is action research. The research instrument is a learning device (Syllabus, SAP, LKM, Textbook), while collecting data by observation sheet. Parameters of soft skills is a creative research, analysis, communication, problem solving, management, independent and work together. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the average soft skills of students in the first cycle 71.68% (excellent) increased to 80.64% (excellent) on the second cycle. Thus the application of PBL models can improve the soft skills of students at the University of Riau FKIP Biology course Genetics and Evolution.Keywords: Genetics and Evolution, soft skills Ability, Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of this research to determine the effect of the hormone 2,4-D and BAP on callus growth Kasturi Orange (Citrus microcarpa).  This research consisted of research using experimental method completely randomized design factorial.  Parameters observed is percentage of explants, while appearing callus, callus width and texture of the callus. Research results and a growing percentage of the width callus explants were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level, when it appears callus and callus texture done by descriptively. The result shows that a combination of hormones D4B1 and D4B2 produces a callus emerged fastest of 3.3 HSK. The highest percentage of callus formation that is 100% contained in the treatment of D2B0, D2B0.5 - D4B0. The mean width of callus was highest in treatment D4B2 with a width of 0.97cm. Embryogenic callus resulting by treatment of D2B1, D2B2 ,and D3B0.  Keywords: Hormones, Callus, Orange Kasturi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the addition of the cow rumen fluid content of organic waste in producing biogas as a handout biotechnology development in the field of animal husbandry in the high school class XII., The study was conducted in March-April 2015.This research was carried out by two phases: biogas production using experimental research and development stage handout. Experimental study was conducted using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replicates in order to obtain 12 experimental design. If there is a difference between treatments meal test Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5%. The parameters observed biogas volume, pH dan temperature. The addition of the cow rumen fluid content of 250 ml best produce biogas. Where produce biogas volume as much as 447.68 cm³, pH 6, the temperature of 35ºC. Abstract

Has conducted research for a hand out submateri biotechnology high school students basedon plant tissue culture research Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa). The study includes two phases,namely: (1) Experiments to produce callus tissue culture experiments using completelyrandomized design (CRD) factorial. The first factor is the level of NAA treatment that is 0, 1,1.5, 2 and 3 mg/l. The second factor is the level of BAP treatment with 0, 0.5, 1, and 1.5mg/l. Each treatment was repeated 3 times; (2) Preparation of handouts from the research as asource of learning the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, andEvaluation).Parameters measured were the percentage of growing explants, while appearingcallus and callus texture. Analysis of data growing percentage of explants with advancedANOVA and DMRT test at 5% level, while the current and emerging callus texturedescriptively. In a growing percentage of explants parameter combination treatment showed apercentage of 100 % are in treatment A 0 B 1,5 , A 1 B 0,5 - A 3 B 1,5 . For the current parametersappear callus treatment best combination found in treatment A 3 B 1,5 with a mean time of 2HSK appear callus (days after culture) and for the texture parameters of combinationtreatment showed callus crumb texture and white color found in treatment A 2 B 0,5 - A 3 B 1,5 , theresearch on callus growth can be used as a learning resource in the form of handouts for highschool level studentsKeywords : Handout, Tanaman Rosella, Kultur kalus, Hormon NAA dan BAP

Abstract

Classroom Action Research has been conducted (PTK), which aims to improve the scientific attitude and learning outcomes of students with models of biological types of cooperative learning on the inside outside circle VIII2 grade students at SMPN 2 pekanbaru. The study was conducted from October to November 2011. The study subjects were 36 students (16 male and 20 female). Parameter were the attitude of scientific research, the study (absorption and completeness of student learning), award groups, and advocates parameter is the student activity and teacher activity. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the cycle I mean the scientific attitude of students is 79.94% (Fair), the average absorption of students is 79.78% (Enough), which is 75% learning completeness (Enough), which gained the award there is a super predicate group, the average activity of students is 81.13% (Fair), the average results of activity of the teacher is 90.91% (Good). While on average the second cycle of scientific attitude of students increased to 90.32% (Good), the average absorption of students is 87.58% (Good), exhaustiveness study is 100% (Very good), which achieved full appreciation super group there are 2 groups , the average student activity increased to 90.21% (Good), the average activity of the teacher is 100% (Very good). From the research results can be concluded that with the implementation of cooperative learning model of the type of inside outside circle can increase the scientific attitude and learning outcomes VIII2 grade biology students SMPN 2 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Biology Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning Model Type Inside Outside Circle, scientific attitude,

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the type of processing of tea (Camellia sinensis L. Kuntze) and the concentration of sugar to ferment kombucha and draft Worksheet Students (LKPD) High School Biology.This study consisted of two phases. The first phase is making kombucha tea using the experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 8 treatments and 3 replications. Parameters measured were reducing sugar, total acid concentration, pH and organoleptic levels. The results obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level. The second phase is the phase Design (draft) LKPD sourced from the research phase I. LKPD design consists of two stages, namely Analysis and Design LKPD. The results showed that variations in the type of processing tea and sugar concentration provides significant effect on reducing sugar, total acid concentration, pH and organoleptic levels. The greater the concentration of sugar, the greater the reduction sugar and total acid content of kombucha tea, and increasingly lace pH of the solution. As for organoleptic color, aroma, and taste the best there is on the treatment T1G3 (black tea, sugar 120 grams). The results of the study can be used as a draft Worksheet Students (LKPD) on the material of conventional biotechnology. Key words : Kombucha tea, Tea Processing Type Variation, Concentration Sugar, draft LKPD
