Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to describe and differentiate the cognitive learning physics through the implementation of a firing line strategies in cooperative learning for the material of optical instruments in the class of VIII SMPN 34 Pekanbaru. Population in this research is all of VIII classes with 199 students. Meanwhile the samples are 40 students in VIII2 as control class and 39 students in VIII3 as experiment class. The instrument of data collection in this study is a cognitive performance test which consists of 25 multiple choice items. Analysis of the data in this study was a descriptive analysis that was used to determine the performance of the physics cognitive learning through the criteria of absorption and effectiveness of learning. The inferential analysis was used to differentiate a cognitive learning considerably using independent samples t-test of SPSS 20 program. The analysis data shows: the average absorption of the class is 83.79% of the higher in category, and declared effective learning efficiently. The value of t tests is t (69.1) = 2,000, p = 0.049 means p <0.05, then Ho is rejected. Which means that there are differences in cognitive test result between students in experiment class that taught using cooperative learning firing line strategies and control class that uses conventional learning with a level of 95%. It can therefore be concluded that the implementation of the firing line strategy can be used as an alternative in the learning process in the classroom VIII SMPN 34 Pekanbaru.Key words : Cognitive result test, the firing line strategy, optical instruments.2

Abstract

Abstract: The problems faced today by both teachers and students in learning physics include: the lack of variations in the teacher's teaching methods in delivering material to students, the low motivation of students to learn physics and the lack of media used by teachers in delivering the material. From the problems above, the researchers tried to provide a solution, namely by developing contextual-based teaching materials/media using the exe learning application. Exe learning application technology can be used to design innovative and interesting physics learning media. This contextual-based learning media presents business and energy materials with animations that are more interesting and fun to learn. The form of research carried out is development research with the term Research And Development (R&D) and the model used is ADDIE. This development is guided by high school students who can already think contextually or connect the material studied with students' daily lives. So they catch the lesson faster. The validation results from the validator show that contextual-based learning media using exe learning applications on work and energy theory in class X SMA is valid (teaching materials are as expected).Key Words: Contextual, Exe learning.

Abstract

Abstract : Physical learning especially the material of electromagnetic waves is an abstract material and difficult to observe. The main purpose of this research is to develop a valid Borland Delphi 7 based learning media on electromagnetic wave material. This research was conducted in December 2016 until June 2017 at the Physics Education Laboratory of Universitas Riau. The design of learning media development follows the stage of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Validation of this instructional media program includes content of material and design of media itself. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that the learning media developed in this study has a very high validity value of both assessed aspects. For validity of learning media subject matter this result of validation by expert is 3.61 and validation by teacher is 3.6 so it is relevant with physics concepts that will be taught by using this media, while for validity of media design by expert is 3.5 and by teacher 3.62 so media This study's learning can be declared eligible to be used to support schooling.Key words: Electromagnetic Wave, Media Based On Borland Delphi 7, ADDIE

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine the process skills students through the application of the POE model (Predict, Observe, Explain) on the material elasticity and Hooke's Law in class XI MIA MA As-Salam Naga Beralih Kampar. The research method used was Pre-Experimental design with the design of The One Shot Case Study. The subjects of the study were students of class XI MIA MA As-salam, totaling 36 students consisting of 19 female students and 17 male students. The data collection instrument used was a process skills test in the form of daily tests given to students after the learning process was carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively to provide a description of the participant's process skills expressed in terms of the percentage of descriptive statistics and the percentage of each indicator on the material elasticity and Hooke's Law. The results obtained from the percentage of descriptive statistics of students amounted to 76.22% and categorized high. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the POE model has a positive effect on the process skills of students in class XI MIA MA As-Salam Naga Beralih Kampar on the material elasticity and Hooke's Law.Key words : POE model, process skills students, elasticity and Hooke's Law.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the practicality of faraday legal symptom experimental devices as a medium for high school physics learning. The research method used is research and development. In this study faraday legal experimental devices were tested on 20 students and 2 teachers MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Based on the data analysis, the practicality of the experimental device according to the teacher was obtained that the experiment tools and LKPD could help facilitate the teachers in the faraday legal learning process by obtaining the practicality value of the products in the very high category. The results of practical tests according to students, the experimental device provides convenience in studying the laws of faraday with the acquisition of practical scores in the very high category. Based on the data obtained, the experimental tools and student worksheets are very practical for students and teachers to use in the learning process.Key Words: Faraday law, student worksheets, practicality.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to see the improve of the student affective learning result of class XI SMAN Plus Riau Province by applying the student facilitator explaining learning model on Wafe Classification Lesson. The subjects of this research was 25 students of class XI MS 1 SMAN Plus Riau Province 2016/2017 academic year. The data in this research was primary data that obtained from pretest and posttest score using self-assessment, peer assessment and observation assessment sheets that was analyzed descriptively. Questionnaire of self-assessment and peer assessment consists of seven indicators that is honest, good manners, confidence, responsibility, tolerance, curiosity and hard work. The observation sheets consists of five indicators: responsibility, trust, tolerance, curiosity and hard work. The result of affective learning in this research shows the increasing of self-assessment, that is 0.10 with low category, peer assessment 0.10 with low category and the observation is 0.38 with medium category. At can be concluded from all assessments with existing indicators obtained a gain score that is 0.19 with low category.Keywords: Affective learning, Student facilitator and Explaning and Wave Classification

Abstract

Abstract: This research aim to verify the practicality of learning media in dynamic fluid material which contains of experimental tools and students’ worksheet in Bernoulli’s law and the principal of continuity. Before the test of practicality, these experimental tools and students’ worksheet have been avowed valid of 3 validators which are physic education experts. Research approach that has been used is development research with ADDIE model. The research data came from practicality experimental tools and students’ worksheet questionnaire and analyzed by Ms. Excel. The respondents are 3 teachers and 10 students as the practitioners. The result is, practicality test based on teachers in average 3.39 for experimental tools and 3.38 for dynamic fluid experiment students’ worksheet. While based on students, the results in average 3.42 for experimental tools and 3.46 for dynamic fluid experiment students’ worksheet. At the same time, the average value of learning media practicality based on STEM in dynamic fluid material is at 3.41. Based on those data, learning media based on STEM in dynamic fluid material can be stated practical with high category.Key Words: Practicality Test, Learning Media, ADDIE

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the effect of using the PHET-assisted LKPD on students' understanding of the concept of electrical circuit material for class IX at MTs Negeri 8 Kampar. This study involved 15 students of class IX.1 MTsN 8 Kampar. The instrument used is LKPD in the form of a description. Data were collected through 3 learning stages using LKPD, namely, pre LKPD, during LKPD, and discussion. Each scattered item has 3 indicators, namely electric current, open circuit, and closed circuit. Then the research results were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning using LKPD assisted by PhET media was able to improve students' understanding of concepts in electrical circuit material. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students' correct answers at the average percentage in each stage of learning.Keywords: LKPD, Phet simulation, understanding the concept

Abstract

Abstract: Learning devices based on the 6E learning cycle model are a series of processes or activities carried out to produce a medium or means used and prepared by the teacher in the learning process. The learning tools developed are Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), and learning outcomes tests.The main objective of this study is to develop RPP learning tools, LKPD and learning outcomes tests based on the 6E learning cycle model on the material of vibrations and waves of SMP. The development of this learning tool uses the method of research and development of research and development (R&D) In this research the validation stage is conducted by 3 validator lecturers. Data analysis on using descriptive analysis by calculating the index of each indikator used to determine the validity of the RPP, LKPD and learning outcomes tests developed. The results of this study obtained an average RPP validity of 3,54 with a very high category and declared valid, the average validity of LKPD is 3,40 with a very high category and declared valid, the average validity of learning outcomes tests is 3,52 with very high category and declared valid. So as a whole the average validity of learning devices (RPP, LKPD, and test results of learning) based on the learning cycle 6E model developed on the material of vibrations and waves of junior high schools obtained an average value of 3,49 with a high category and was declared valid and feasible to use as teaching materials in schools to support the teaching and learning process so that it becomes better.Key Words: Learning Devices (RPP, LKPD, and learning outcomes test), learning cycle 6E, vibration and waves

Abstract

Abstract: The propose of this study is to determine the level of students' conceptions change in momentum and impulse materials using POE learning model (predict-observe-explain) in class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The research was conducted from March to July 2017. The population of this research is all student of class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The sampling method used simple random sampling with a total sample of 48 students, the class X MIA 1 as an experimental class consists of 24 students and class X MIA 4 as the control class Totaling 24 students. Type of research is quasi experiment design with nonequivalent control group design. The data collection instrument used in this research is the initial and final diagnostic test consisting of 10 objective questions. Based on the data analysis in the control class the percentage of students who have the correct conception (level 2) before the learning is 29.85% and after learning with conventional learning obtained the percentage of students who have the correct conception is 54.16%. In the experimental class the percentage of students who have the correct conception (level 2) before the learning is 29.62% and after the learning by using the model of learning POE obtained percentage of students who have the correct conception is 57.17%. The increase of the percentage of students who have the correct conception on the control class is 24.31% and in the experimental class is 27.55%. So it can be concluded that the model of learning POE can improve student conception on the material momentum and impulse in class X MAN 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Conception Rate Changes, Momentum And Impulse, Poe (Predict-Observe- Explain)
