Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the development of learning videos using Edpuzzle based on Problem Based Learning is needed. The research method used is a survey method where the researcher collects data on the analysis of the needs of teachers and students as well as data on student characteristics through the distribution of questionnaires. Needs analysis data were obtained from 28 teachers and 79 students while student characteristics data were obtained from 93 students in the Riau province education office. Based on the results of the needs analysis, namely from the aspect of the subject, object, process, and learning media, there are 81.3% of teachers in the very high category and 70.1% of students in the high category stating that the development of learning videos using Edpuzzle based Problem Based Learning needs to be done to improve students' critical thinking skills on direct current circuit material. Meanwhile, based on the results of the analysis of student characteristics, 64.6% of students stated that the need for developing learning videos using Edpuzzle based Problem Based Learning to improve students' critical thinking skills was in the high category, so that the development of learning videos using Edpuzzle based Problem Based Learning to improve students' critical thinking skills at direct current circuit material can be done.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 telah memenuhi kecakapan abad 21 yang terdiri dari Kecakapan Berpikir Kritis dan Pemecahan Masalah, Kecakapan Berkomunikasi, Kecakapan Kreatifitas dan Inovasi, dan Kecakapan Kolaborasi yang berbasis karakter dan kompetensi masih diterapkan di beberapa sekolah di Indonesia. Untuk memenuhi kecakapan dalam kurikulum 2013, peserta didik membutuhkan suatu model pembelajaran yang kreatif serta mempuni sehingga peserta didik bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu digunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif menggunakan sparkol videoscribe. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif menggunakan sparkol videoscribe terhadap hasil belajar pada meteri fluida statis dan mendeskrpsikan hasil pembelajaran kooperatif menggunakan Sparkol Videoscribe. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experimental dengan menggunakan rancangan Nonequivalent Kontrol Group Design. sampel yang diambil dari populasi berjumlah 2 kelas. Kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif menggunakan sparkol videoscribe dan kelompok kontrol diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan cara memberikan post-test setelah pembelajaran untuk ranah kognitif, pengumpulan data ranah afektif dan psikomotorik melalui observasi peneliti.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of teachers and students during the application of the ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) learning model assisted by PhET simulation, and to determine the increase in motivation and skills of students ' science process after the application of the ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) learning model assisted by PhET simulation in students of SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur. This type of research is Class Action Research (PTK) on Physics subjects conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of Class XII MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur with a total of 34 students. Data collection was carried out using the results of observation sheets of teacher and student activities, motivation questionnaires, and tests on science process skills. The results showed that there was an increase in the activity of teachers and students in cycle I to Cycle II after the application of the ARIAS learning model (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) assisted by PhET simulation. The results showed that the learning model ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) assisted by PhET simulation in students of Class XII MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur can increase the motivation and skills of students' science process.

Abstract

The study area is located in North Kelantan, Malaysia. The North Kelantan plain is covered with quaternary sediments overlying granite bedrock. The drainage system is dendritic with the main river flowing into the South China Sea. Geoelectrical resistivity profiling surveys were conducted to determine the characteristics of the subsurface and the groundwater within the aquifer. The geoelectric resistivity surveys are made up of twelve resistivity traverses at five different sites. Each site has two or more lines which are perpendicular and parallel to the beach line. The zone of brackish water is very clearly seen in the resistivity inverse model with the position around 20 m of depth. This aquifer is referred to the second aquifer. The subsurface profile in site 1, 2 and 3 which is perpendicular to the beach line shows a wavy pattern. The profile which is parallel to the beach line shows almost planar non wavy pattern. In site 4 and site 5, the profile shows an almost flat.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of case based learning model assisted by smokeless incinerator to improve students' critical thinking skills and to determine the difference in students' critical thinking skills between classes that apply case based learning model assisted by smokeless incinerator and classes that apply conventional learning model on temperature, heat, and expansion material at SMPN 1 Tapung Hulu. The research method used is quasi experimental with data collection techniques in the form of pretest and posttest. This study used a simple random sampling technique. The samples in this study included class VII B as the experimental class and VII C as the control class. The results of descriptive analysis in the experimental class obtained an average critical thinking ability of 79.11 in the good category, while the control class obtained an average critical thinking ability of 46.06 in the sufficient category. The results of hypothesis testing obtained 0.000 whose value is smaller than 0.05. There is a significant difference in students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class that applies the case based learning model assisted by smokeless incinerator and the control class that applies the conventional learning model on temperature, heat, and expansion material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in students' multirepresentation abilities by using guided inquiry learning models assisted by PhET simulations and to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models assisted by PhET simulations on multirepresentation abilities on mechanical wave material at SMAN 14 Pekanbaru. The type of experimental research used in this research is nonequivalent post-test only control group design. The samples in this study were XI IPA 1 class as the experimental class and XI IPA 3 class as the control class. The data collection method is by giving a post-test using a multirepresentation ability test instrument totaling 16 multiple choice questions. The data obtained were then subjected to descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Based on the results of data processing, the average value obtained by the control class is 57.81 and the average value of the experimental class is 76.56 so that there is a difference in the multirepresentation ability of students using guided inquiry learning model assisted by PhET simulation and the application of guided inquiry learning model assisted by PhET simulation affects the multirepresentation ability of students on mechanical wave material.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation to improve students' conceptual understanding and to determine the differences in students' conceptual understanding between classes that apply the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation and classes that apply the conventional learning model in class VIII of Taruna Pekanbaru Middle School on light material. and optical instruments. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method with a nonequivalent post-test control group design. This research uses a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The samples in this study included Tiger Kumbang 3 class as the experimental class and Macan Kumbang 2 as the control class. The results of the descriptive analysis in the experimental class obtained an average conceptual understanding of 75.8 in the good category, while in the control class the average conceptual understanding was 63.8 in the quite good category. The hypothesis test results obtained were 0.000, which is a value smaller than 0.05. There is a significant difference in student understanding of concepts between classes that apply the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation and control classes that apply conventional learning models on light and optical devices.

Abstract

In the era of technological and information development in the 21st century, it is important for students to improve their critical thinking skills in order to compete with the demands of an increasingly advanced era. Therefore, guided inquiry teaching is needed to train students to solve problems, make decisions, and develop critical thinking skills. This study aims to evaluate the effect of guided inquiry model with the help of PhET simulation on critical thinking skills of students of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru on dynamic fluid material. The research method used was Quasi Experiment with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this research was all students of class XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru, with samples of class XI Engineering 1 as the control class and XI Engineering 2 as the experimental class. The results showed a significant difference between the critical thinking skills of students taught using guided inquiry model assisted by PhET simulations with students taught using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi dan numerasi merupakan fondasi penting dalam pendidikan yang menentukan keberhasilan akademik siswa dan keterampilan hidup sehari-hari. Namun, hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan ini masih rendah di Indonesia, termasuk di SD Negeri 1 Jurit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa melalui media kreatif dan interaktif. Media kreatif mencakup alat dan metode inovatif seperti permainan, video, dan cerita, sedangkan media interaktif melibatkan teknologi digital dan aktivitas partisipatif. Implementasi media ini dilakukan melalui kegiatan seperti simulasi, permainan berbasis cerita, dan aplikasi pembelajaran digital. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi, pemahaman materi, dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, relevan, dan bermakna bagi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

For senior high school students, learning concepts in physics isincreasingly more difficult when the topic is abstract and cannot be seenwith the unaided eye. The research here utilized augmented realitytechnology and instructional design following the ADDIE model (analysis,design, development, implementation and evaluation) to develop learningmedia for physics, specifically the kinetic theory of gases. Preliminaryanalysis was conducted in a senior high school to evaluate the challengesstudents face when learning physics. The design of the media was based onaddressing problems that the students were having. Augmented realitytechnology was then utilized and the implementation aimed to incorporatethe physics concepts into the product. The media was evaluated by sixexperts. Finally, the learning media presented real-time 3D animation of gaskinetic theory with three basic competencies relevant to the topic. In thefinal validation, the results indicated that the developed learning media had avalidity value of 3.55 out of four-point scale and good quality outcomes. Assuch, the developed media regarding the kinetic theory of gases is valid andeffective for the process of learning and teaching. It is ready to be tested andused in actual learning environments.
