Abstract

Mengkonsumsi minyak lemuru dan minyak sawit secara terus menerus, diduga dapat menyebabkan kerusakan mikroanatomi hati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur mikroanatomi hati dan kadar kolesterol total plasma darah tikus putih strain Wistar paska suplementasi minyak lemuru dan minyak sawit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental, dengan rancangan acak lengkap. Penelitian menggunakan 25 ekor tikus usia 3 bulan. Masing-masing diberi minyak sawit dan minyak lemuru sebanyak 0%+0%, 5%+5%, 10%+10%, 15%+15%, dan 20%+20% secara per oral selama 28 hari. Data kadar kolesterol total plasma darah, berat badan tikus dan berat hati tikus dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan ANAVA satu arah, dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian minyak sawit dan minyak lemuru bersifat toksik terhadap hati dan dapat menurunan kadar kolesterol total plasma darah. Sifat toksik minyak lemuru dan minyak sawit terhadap hati dapat dilihat dari adanya perubahan struktur mikroanatomi hati, makroskopis hati tikus, dan berat hati tikus. Kerusakan struktur mikroanatomi hati yang ditemukan berupa kerusakan sel hati (nekrosis hati) serta melebarnya sinusoid. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian minyak sawit dan minyak lemuru mengakibatkan kerusakan mikroanatomi berupa nekrosis sel hati, sehingga mempengaruhi makroskopis hati (perubahan tekstur dan warna), berat hati, dan mempengaruhi berat badan tikus.Consuming lemuru oil and palm oil continuously could be expected to cause damage to the liver micro-anatomy. This study aimed to determine the micro-anatomy structure of liver and blood plasma total cholesterol level of white rats Wistar strain by post-oil supplementation of lemuru and palm oil. This research was experimental, with a completely randomized design. The research used 25 mice aged 3 months. Each was given a palm oil and lemuru oil as much as 0%+0%, 5%+5%, 10%+10%, 15%+15%, and 20%+20% orally for 28 days. Blood plasma levels of total cholesterol, body weight of rats and mice liver weight quantitatively analyzed using one-way ANOVA, with an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the palm oil and lemuru oil was toxic to the liver and decreased the blood plasma total cholesterol levels. Toxicological properties lemuru oil and palm oil to the liver can be seen from the change in the micro-anatomy structure of heart, liver macroscopic rat, and mouse liver weight. Micro-anatomy structural damage on liver cells were found in the form liver necrosis as well as the widening of the sinusoid. The conclusion of this study was the provision of palm oil and lemuru oil was caused damage to microscopic liver cell necrosis form, thus affecting the macroscopic liver (changes in texture and color), a heavy heart, and affect the body weight of rats.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to study the effect of using the omega-3 (O-3), omega-6(O-6), and synthetic cholesterol (Ch) on the reproductive quality of the male quails.Samples of this research were 35 of 4 weeks old male quails with 60 to 98 g of weight.The samples were grouped randomly into 7 groups, that are R-0 (control-group), R-1(0,163 mg O-3/100 g body weight), R-2 (0,326 mg O-3/100 g bw), R-3 (0,163 mgO-6/100 gbw), R-4 (0,326 mg O6/100 g bw), R-5 (20 mg Ch/100 g bw), and R-6 (40mg Ch/100 g bw). The treatment was given per oral in three periods with 5 days ofeach. there was a week intervening between periods. During the research, samples weregifted rations a basalic-woof (basalic-feed) for twice/day, at 7:00 and 16:00 o’clock. theamount of basalic-woof were 20 g of feed/100 g body weight/day. Water administeredin an ad libitum manner. This research was implemented during 8 weeks. The variableswere the level of testosterone, blood qualities, voice-qualities, color brightness of chestfur, and testis size. The voice quality data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA continuedby orthogonal contrast test. The other data were analyzed by descriptive statistic. Theresult of this research confi rmed that synthetic omega-3 and omega-6 (0,326 mg/100 gbw) and synthetic cholesterol (20 mg/100 g bw) could increase the reproductive qualityof the male quails.Keywords: synthetic cholesterol, synthetic omega-3, synthetic omega-6,reproductive quality

Abstract

SMAN 13 Semarang is one of the schools in Semarang that develops waste management as an extracurricular activities. However, students at SMA N 13 Semarang are still seen littering, using plastic as food wrappers, and have not sorted out garbage. Students are expected to have high awareness to contribute to reducing environmental damage by participating in waste management. This study aims to examine the extracurricular potential of waste management in developing the environmental caring character of the students. This research uses qualitative approach with case study research type. The number of primary informants is 15 students who are active in extracurricular waste management. The results showed that students have basic knowledge about the environment through the subject of PLH but have not been able to develop it. Curiosity has been formed because students have an interest in watching television shows and reading environmental related articles, but in terms of providing information media is still limited through teachers. Students throw garbage at the place provided, but to sorting garbage still less. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that the characters that have been formed is used to maintain the cleanliness of the environment, used to dispose of waste in place, the school provides cleaning equipment, and responsible for maintaining environmental cleanliness. Character that has been formed and still requires teacher assistance is the character to sort out garbage, provide communication media and explore knowledge about the environment.

Abstract

The learning process requires a plan, so that what is done can run and produce something as expected. With such a plan, the process to be carried out over a long period of time has a clear direction, predictable results, predictable resources required, and can be used to determine the requirements of students in following the learning process in the school. The purpose of this study is to analyze the conformity and implementation of RPP, as well as supporting factors and inhibiting the implementation of science learning in MTs and MA Al Khoiriyyah Semarang. The method used in this research is qualitative research with case study method. This research takes place in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) and Madrasah Aliyah Al Khoiriyyah Semarang. Sources of data in this study are teachers of science lessons in MTs Al Khoiriyyah and physics, chemistry, biology teacher at MA Al Khoiriyyah. Data collection techniques used consisted of observation, interview, documentation and student response questionnaire. The results showed that the quality of RPP in MTs and MA Alkhoiriyyah was in accordance with Permendikbud number 22 of 2016 with very good criteria. The implementation of science learning in MTs and MA Alkhoiriyyah has been in accordance with Permendikbud number 22 of 2016 with good category. Factors supporting the implementation of RPP in learning is the source of learning and supporting facilities such as libraries, laptops, LCDs, and the internet. While the inhibiting factors are time constraints, students are less active, and the teacher's understanding is still lacking in combining the methods, models, and learning strategies with a scientific approach. Implementation of science learning activities in MTs and MA Al Khoiriyyah received a good response from learners.

Abstract

Jepara Regency has very large marine resources. Various species of fish including pelagic and demersal are a local potential that can be empowered as a source of science learning in the form of handout based on discovery learning. The use of discovery-based handout is expected to be able to improve cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills. This research is a development research specifically One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. As many as 18 species were obtained at the fish auction in Ujungbatu Jepara. The validation of subject-matter experts on the content of the handout was good and very good on language aspect. Assessment on language experts, media size, design and content was in a very good category. The effectiveness of handouts from N-Gain result was obtained an average score of 0.4 which was in the medium category. While science process skills gained an average score of 81% in the good category. The practicality of the handouts was derived from student responses.  An aspect called significance was considered very good. Other aspects such as ease understanding, learning interes and presentation were good. While students’ enthusiasm was in good enough category. The practicality of the handouts from teacher responses include some aspects in terms of ease understanding, students’ enthusiasm, learning interest, presentation and the significance were in a very god category. It can be concluded that the use of discovery-based handout in learning Pisces material is effective and practical to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills both individually and classical.

Abstract

Masalah utama dalam pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dan belum berkembangnya multiple intelligences peserta didik. Masalah tersebut diprediksi dapat diatasi dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) bervisi Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS). Populasi adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri di Kabupaten Kudus. Sampel sebanyak empat kelas diambil secara acak. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase, uji gain score, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase skor multiple intelligence kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada kelas kontrol. Sembilan aspek multiple intelligence peserta didik, meliputi verbal, matematis, kinetis, musikal, visual-spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalis, dan eksistensial pada kelas eksperimen terlihat berkembang. Hasil belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Gain score kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,75 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji t signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan CTL bervisi SETS mampu mengoptimalkan multiple intelligence dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu sebaiknya guru dapat menerapkannya pada pembelajaran IPA dengan materi yang lain.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effectiveness of worksheet-assisted Preser-X model to science process skillss and concept understanding in third grade of primary student on energy material. The research was conducted in Elementary School of Bategede 01 Nalumsari Jepara academic year 2016/2017. The method was Quasi Eksperimental Design. The sample was taken by using saturated sampling. The data were collected such as science process skills with observation and worksheet instrument, and concept understanding with test instrument. The data were analyzed by using one sample t-test for achievement tested for science process skills, proportion test for achievement of classical mastery, independent t test for difference test, simple linear regression for influence test, and N-gain for improvement test. The result showed average score of science process skills was 77% categorized skilled. Classical mastery of concept understanding was obtained 93,10%. There was difference between concept understanding between experimental class and control class and there was influence of science process skills and concept understanding. The improvement in concept understanding in medium category with the percentage 58,62% . The study concluded that the application of worksheet-assisted preser-X models more effective against science process skills and concept understanding of primary students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the existing forms of ethnomatematics in the Palue society and to analyze its relation to mathematical concepts in elementary school. In this study, qualitative data were obtained through observation of the community's activity and arterfak used in the activity. The other data were also obtained through interviews with the Palue community. The data are analyzed theoretically using theories relating to the relationship of ethnomatematics with the concepts of mathematics in elementary school. The results show that the ethnomatematic forms that exist in the Palue society culture include forms of artifacts used in traditional ceremonies, dances, livelihoods, tenun ikat activities and traditional games. These social activities have a certain relationship to mathematical concepts in elementary schools, namely the concept of numeral operations, two deminsion concept (square, rectangle, triangle, circle, rhombus, and kite), geometry concept (tubes, shperis, and cones) as well as concepts of the measurement (measurement of the length, mass, and time). Based on this matter, it can be concluded that Palue society in Palue culture contained elements of ethnomatematics that can be integrated in the mathematics learning in elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of blended learning method based on quipper school media in order to improve students understanding of the concept and their independece learning in science learning. The research method used is quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data collected using observation techniques and tests. The population in this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 1 Sumowono consists of 193 students. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Class VIII D is selected as the experimental class, while class VIII F is selected as the control class. The results showed that: (1) classical accomplishment of experimental class increased by 28.13% and control class increased by 15.62%. This suggests that there is an increase in the students' understanding of the concept of experimental class on the medium criterion, while the control class on low criterion; (2) Learning independence of experimental class is 76.78% and is in self-supporting category. The conclusion of this research is that the blend learning method based on Quipper School is effective to improve the students’ understanding of the concept and their learning independence of the students. Blend learning method based on Quipper School is expected to be a reference to be applied in learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve motivation and learning achievment of students in theme-based learning using blended learning model in primary schools. This type of research is mixed methods, with the design of embedded experimental models. The mixed methods model consist of three phase. They are pre-intervention, during an intervention, and after intervention. Those phase pre-intervention, interviews with the class teacher, surveys, given the motivation questionnaire, and pre-tests. Then the intervention of theme-based learning using a blended learning model, observation for learning. Then the after-intervention, given the post-test, motivation questionnaire and response after learning implementation. To gain the quantitative data to strengthen the quantitative data the student's response, then focus group discussion (FGD) was implemented. Final interpretation of the data based on quantitative and qualitative data. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Rank and triangulated whit the quantitative. The sample of the study was 113. The data collection was conducted by questionnaire, interviews, and documentation. Results of this study was an increase in motivation and learning achievement significantly. This is evident by the analysis of statistical tests obtained an average increase of 56.50 learning motivation and learning achievement at 57.00. Base on the data analysis can be concluded is an improvment increase in motivation and learning achievement of students after following theme-based learning using blended learning. Students were also responding very well to the learning. Thus the theme-based learning using a blended learning model in primary schools are very effective and recommended for in primary schools especially upper-grade students.
