Abstract

This study aims to describe the politics of the education budget in the city of Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach to phenomenological in the city of Yogyakarta. The subject of the study is chosen purposively from the executive and legislative elements. Excavation of data through in-depth interviews and analysis of documents. The triangulation is used by triangulation of methods and sources, expert discussions, and rival explanations. A qualitatively phenomenological data analysis with data steps managing, reading and memoing, describing, classifying, interpreting, and visualizing. Research findings showed that the 2014 Yogyakarta city education budget was Rp. 432,883,644,325.00. The pattern of distribution and allocation of education budgets is managed based on the coordination and integration of policies between government units. The priorities of the 2014 education budget are determined based on considerations of aspects of urgency and emergency. Priority mainly includes employee salaries,12-year compulsory education programs, and educational development programs.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan mengungkapkan strategi perbaikan untuk mengefektifkan penerapan pendekatan modified free inquiry sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan divergent thinking dalam pembelajaran sains, dan respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran sains dengan menerapkan pendekatan modified free inquiry. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XC SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan hasil refleksi awal menunjukkan siswa bersikap pasif saat diskusi, memberikan jawaban yang textbook dan seragam (tidak variatif), maka diperlukan tindakan berupa pendekatan modified free inquiry yang merupakan teknik berpikir divergen. Tahap-tahap tindakan meliputi: presenting task, designing, investigating, dan constructing meaning. Ketuntasan siswa dalam memberikan jawaban terhadap soal-soal tes yang dikembangkan untuk mengukur kemampuan divergent thinking siswa (aspek fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration) mencapai 60,71% pada siklus II. Siklus dihentikan setelah berlangsung sebanyak 2 (dua) siklus karena hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya indikasi pencapaian target penelitian. Setelah refleksi siklus I, dilakukan perbaikan berupa guru memberikan motivasi dengan cara memberikan pertanyaan yang mendorong keingintahuan siswa dan bimbingan secara lisan ataupun tulisan lebih intensif melalui Lembar Kerja Siswa agar keterlaksanaan pendekatan modified free inquiry siklus II lebih baik daripada siklus I. Sebagian besar siswa (≥75%) merespons positif terhadap penerapan pendekatan modified free inquiry.Kata kunci: divergent thinking, pendekatan modified free inquiry

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman di abad ke-21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki berbagai kemampuan, salah satunya yaitu Keterampilan Pemecahan masalah. Analisis awal yang dilakukan di kelas VII E SMP N 1 Banguntapan menunjukkan bahwa Keterampilan Pemecahan masalah peserta didik perlu ditingkatkan, ditunjukkan dengan hasil penilaian sumatif dan observasi pembelajaran sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik masih kesulitan memecahkan masalah. Maka dilakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dengan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning dan pendekatan STEM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan Pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Pembelajaran dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan dua pertemuan untuk setiap siklus dengan model spiral Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan Keterampilan Pemecahan masalah pada peserta didik di siklus kedua dibandingkan dengan siklus pertama. Peningkatan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dengan model Project-Based Learning dengan pendekatan STEM dapat meningkatkan Keterampilan Pemecahan masalah pada peserta didik kelas VII E SMP N 1 Banguntapan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Pihak 1 (LSP-P1) di perguruan tinggi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap kerja. Dalam era globalisasi dan persaingan pasar tenaga kerja yang ketat, sertifikasi kompetensi menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus, melibatkan 10 LSP-P1 di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dari pengelola LSP, manajer sertifikasi, dan manajer mutu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun LSP-P1 memiliki struktur organisasi yang jelas dan skema sertifikasi aktif, masih terdapat tantangan dalam hal konsistensi layanan, keterbatasan sumber daya, serta kendala administratif. Beberapa LSP belum mengoptimalkan keterlibatan mitra industri dan peserta eksternal. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan dukungan administratif, penguatan kolaborasi dengan industri, serta pengembangan ekosistem sertifikasi yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perguruan tinggi dan LSP dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan sertifikasi untuk lulusan yang lebih kompeten di pasar kerja global

Abstract

The aims of this activity are to: (1) disseminating the results of researchfrom a team of stewards on the development of integrated science worksheetsguided inquiry based to develop thinking skills and scientific attitude in order tosupport the implementation of Kurikulum 2013; (2) improving the skills ofteachers in guiding students to form a concept (concept formation); (3) improvingtheskills of teachers in inquiry approach in worksheet; (4) improving thecreativity of teachers in developing worksheet. The target participant of this activity is 34 teacher members of MGMPIPA SMP/MTs Magelang regency. This activity is done in three stages, includingthestage of theoretical training, practical training phase and the evaluationphase. The methods used are: modeling (simulation), lectures, discus-sions, andworkshops. The results showed that the overall activity of PPM activity has beensuccessful in reaching the target activity. Most of the participants are alreadyskilled in guiding students to form a concept (concept formation) IPA. Mostparticipants also been able to apply the guided inquiry approach in studentworksheet. In addition, the final product student worksheet also shows most ofthe participants have been creative in developing worksheets with student worksheetdevelop their own (not copy and paste) and includes the development ofhigher order thinking skills in student worksheet

Abstract

The aims of this activity are: (1) to disseminate the results of research from a team of stewards on the development of learning materials authentic inquiry based learning to develop problem solving and scientific attitude; (2) to develop the skills of teachers in guiding students for doing investigation or inquiry; (3) to develop the skills of teachers in developing learning material with authentic inquiry approach; (4) to develop the skill of teachers in  teaching with implementation of authentic inquiry leaning approach. The target participant of this activity is 26 teacher members of MGMP IPA SMP Magelang regency. This activity is done in three stages, including the stage of theoretical training, practical training phase and the evaluation phase. The methods used are: lecture, modeling, discussion, and workshop. The results showed that the overall activity of PPM activity has been successful in reaching the target activity. Most of the participants are already skilled in guiding student for doing inquiry. Most participants also been able to develop student worksheet based on authentic inquiry learning approach and half of student worksheets have contain of problem solving and scientific attitude development. Most of the group of participant can teaching science through the authentic inquiry approach very Good because most of the steps of authentic inquiry learning approach has be done by all group

Abstract

The activity "Optimizing of The Beauty of Herbs" is aimed: (1) toimprove an understanding of the understanding of farmer group membersand efficacy of herbs scientifically; (2) to improve the creativity of membersof farmer groups on how the processing of various herbal products, (3)toimprove awareness of farmer group members to be independent andmaintain the food security.Objects of study are 45 member of farmer group " Sumber KaryaBoga " in Padukuhan Pondok, Condong Catur. The methods are used insolving the problem include: lecture, workshop and practice. Stages include:the preparation stage, the introduction stage, the creative production stage,development stage and evaluation stage. Data obtained using a questionnaireabout herbs and their understanding of the sources of information, selfsufficiency,food security, entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of thebusiness plan .Results indicate that most participants have an understanding ofherbs and their properties well. Participants also gain the skills to processherbs into various food products . The independence of most participantshas reached "Good" category. For food security and entrepreneurial spiritobtained information that most participants have food security in thecategory "Good". But only few of them know about farming business plan.This suggests that they have not yet fully understand about the formulationof business plan.Keywords: the beauty of herb, food security, and enterpreneurship

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to validate the feasibility, practicality, and readability of an ARCS integrated Project Based Learning e-book on light and optical instruments for junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires dichotomous for expert validation, and Likert scale for teacher and student assessments. The questionnaires were administered to 2 expert validators, 3 science teachers, and 15 students selected through purposive sampling. Based on the results of expert validation using a dichotomous questionnaire, all experts answered “Valid” to all items, resulting in a 100% validity score. This indicates that all aspects of the e-book meet the eligibility criteria with very high validity. The practicality test by teachers, conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire, yielded a score of 91.5%, and the readability test by students, also using a Likert scale, reached 85.06%. These results indicate that the product is very feasible and highly practical.  The integration of PjBL and ARCS strategies in the e-book supports student engagement and motivation.

Abstract

Science learning in schools is often dominated by monotonous and less contextual material delivery, resulting in low student enthusiasm and passive participation. Limited engagement, poor collaboration, and the lack of learning resources that incorporate local potential present significant challenges. One proposed solution is the development of an e-book based on the discovery learning model, integrated with local potential specifically Yogyakartas traditional food, gudeg on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. This study aims to develop a science e-book based on the discovery learning model integrated with the local potential of yogyakarta's traditional food, gudeg, on the topic of elements, compounds, and mixtures. The development model used is addie, limited to the analyze, design, develop, and evaluate stages. Data were collected using validation instruments by subject matter experts and media experts, as well as practicality and readability questionnaires administered to science teachers and students. Data were analyzed using the coefficients of reproducibility (CR) and scalability (CS), along with average score calculations. The results showed that the developed e-book met the validity criteria with CR 90% and CS 60% as assessed by both experts. The practicality assessment by science teachers fell into the high to very high category, while the readability test by students yielded an average score of 3.26, categorized as very good. These results indicate that the developed e-book is valid, practical, and feasible for use in science learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi desain dan analisis dari silinder teleskopik hidrolik yang digunakan pada mesin press hidrolik mobile, yang memfokuskan pada peningkatan mobilitas dan efisiensi operasional. Melalui penerapan Analisis Elemen Hingga (FEA), studi ini mengidentifikasi parameter kritis seperti tegangan, regangan, dan faktor keamanan dalam kondisi operasional yang beragam. Penelitian ini mendemonstrasikan bagaimana desain teleskopik dapat mengatasi tantangan khusus dalam operasi mesin press hidrolik, termasuk peningkatan jangkauan operasi dan penyesuaian terhadap beban kerja yang dinamis. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa silinder mengalami tegangan maksimum 599,51 MPa dan regangan maksimum 0,0030939 mm/mm di bagian tengah, yang menyarankan adanya kebutuhan untuk modifikasi desain atau peningkatan material untuk meningkatkan keandalan dan durabilitas. Sementara itu, faktor keamanan yang tinggi di sebagian besar area menunjukkan bahwa desain keseluruhan memiliki keandalan yang baik. Studi ini memberikan wawasan yang bermanfaat bagi insinyur dan desainer mesin dalam mengoptimalkan desain silinder hidrolik teleskopik dan menyarankan area-area penelitian yang dapat dijelajahi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti penggunaan material inovatif dan teknik manufaktur canggih. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk memandu pengembangan mesin press hidrolik mobile yang lebih efisien dan adaptif dalam menghadapi kebutuhan industri modern.
