Abstract

SD IT Salman Al Farisi 1 dan 2 merupakan sekolah swasta yang ada di Kota Yogyakarta. Guru-guru IPA di SD tersebut dari hasil analisis situasi memiliki keaktifan yang tinggi dalam setiap kegiatan. Pembinaan untuk guru-guru di SD ini telah secara rutin melakukan kegiatan baik dengan mendatangkan narasumber maupun diskusi kolaboratif antar guru. Meskipun banyak kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dalam pengembangan kemampuan guru di SD IT Salman 1 dan 2, namun masih terdapat beberapa masalah yang menjadi kesulitan guru. Analisis situasi pada khalayak sasaran yang dilakukan melalui wawancaradengan kepala sekolah SD IT Salman 1 dan 2 masih ada mengalami kesulitan dalam merencanakan pembelajaran dan evaluasi/asesmen, melaksanakan pembelajaram dan penilaiannya khususnya pembelajaran yang mengarah pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan literasi sains. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu melakukan pelatihan penyusunan design pembelajaran berbasis Inquiry. Luaran yang ditargetkan yaitu surat Kerjasama dengan mitra, artikel ilmiah dan HKI

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze science learning through the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Student (P5) with local wisdom theme in Junior High School (SMP). The focus of the study was to explore the methods, employed within the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Student framework. Also, it aimed to analyze the science learning processes during these activities, particularly in relation to local wisdom themes. Data were collected from 97 students in grades VII, VIII, and IX at SMP PIRI 1 Yogyakarta through observations on November 28, 2023, and simple interviews with students and teachers to collect feedback on the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Student activities. The local wisdom theme was "Batik." The activities commenced with a Duha prayer and an opening session, followed by the presentation of batik material, group divisions, and the process of creating batik designs. The process incorporates the application of scientific concepts, such as biodiversity and changing in states of matter, and mixtures. The findings indicate that the application of the P5 framework with a local wisdom theme enhances students’ understanding of scientific concepts and their engagement in learning. It is hoped that these findings will contribute to the development of more contextual and relevant teaching methods. The research used qualitative research with an interview. The interview instrument was developed by determining the objective of the interview, formulating the activities or aspects, arranging the indicators, and conducting the interview. Data analysis was carried out by synthesizing the data from interviews.

Abstract

This study is a literature study which is conducted to explore the incorporation of the Ethno-STEAM-based approach to learning science using local potential of 'Mi Lethek Bantul'. Ethno-STEAM is a learning approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, by integrating local cultural values as a learning environment.     . Mi Lethek as a traditional dish made of cassava flour embodies various simple concepts of science and technology that can be used in the learning process, e.g., physical and chemical changes, traditional biotechnology procedures, use of energy, and concepts of traditional tool engineering      It is demonstrated in the study that science learning based on the incorporation of the Ethno-STEAM approach using 'Mi Lethek Bantul' is fostering improved conceptual understanding of the students, in addition to fostering cultural awareness, creativity, critical and problem solving skills. Through this incorporation, there is the potential to develop contextualized, pertinent learning, and enhance the development of the character of the students and character literacy in the sciences. Hence, the application of Etno-STEAM drawn from local potential is a powerful strategy in holistic, sustainable learning in the sciences.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with digital technology in science education and its potential to enhance students’ critical thinking skills in the 21st century. Using a systematic literature review, 28 studies published between 2005 and 2025 were analyzed through thematic analysis. The review shows a steady growth of research on digital PBL, demonstrating its effectiveness in promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Supporting factors include adequate digital infrastructure, school and teacher support, while barriers such as the digital divide, limited training, and cognitive overload remain challenges. Despite its promise, existing studies rarely adopt longitudinal designs and often lack standardized instruments for measuring critical thinking. The findings highlight that integrating Digital PBL offers a transformative approach to science learning, enabling more interactive and inclusive classrooms. Theoretically, this study reinforces constructivist perspectives by showing how digital PBL fosters active knowledge construction. Practically, it provides insights for policymakers and educators to strengthen teacher training, improve infrastructure, and design more robust frameworks for sustainable digital PBL implementation.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia utamanya materi Cerpen di SMAN 1 Srengat terdapat beberapa kendala, diantaranya adalah akibat penerapan Full Day School sangat menguras kesempatan siswa untuk belajar siswa seusai pulang sekolah, karena rata-rata siswa pulang jam 16.00 WIB, sehingga merekapun tidak memiliki tenaga untuk mengikuti les sekedar untuk menambah pengetahuan setelah pulang sekolah, dan hari sabtu atau minggu mereka biasanya tidak mau belajar dengan alasan libur sekolah. Sehingga mereka banyak yang mengikuti bimbel online, namun bimbel onlinepun tidak sepenuhnya mampu menyelesaikan masalah, karena tidak semua orant tua mampu membayar biaya bimbel. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan hadirnya media yang mampu mengatasi keterbatasan ruang dan waktu yang mudah diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun siswa inginkan dan tidak membebani orang tua berkaitan dengan biaya. Maka dari itu media pembelajaran berbasis web "Ruang Belajar" adalah solusi pemecahan masalah tersebut, dengan adanya web ruang belajar tersebut, diharapkan akan mampu memberikan kemudahan belajar siswa karena dapat diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun siswa inginkan, dengan fitur materi tulis, video materi, latihan soal, sampai pada fitur diskusi pembelajaran, yang tentunya gratis dan tidak membebani biaya bagi orang tua. Selain itu dengan adanya media berbasis WEB "Ruang Belajar" tersebut pembelajaran akan lebih mudah, menarik, efektif dan efisien. Adapun hasil tes praktek siswa untuk membuktikan efektifitas pemanfaatan media Berbasis WEB ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil nilai Pretes Siswa Sebelum penerapan media dengan rata-rata nilai 76 dan 14 siswa remedial. Setelah penerapan media berbasis web siswa melakukan Post tes dengan hasil rata-rata siswa naik menjadi 88 dan siswa tuntas 100%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media berbasis web "Ruang Belajar" pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Pokok Bahasan Cerpen Siswa SMAN 1 Srengat Kelas XI MIA 1 sangat efektif untuk diterapkan dan terbukti mampu meningkatnya prestasi belajar siswa dari awal tes 76 naik menjadi 88 terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 12, dan siswa saat Pre Test masih ditemukan 14 anak yang dibawah KKM atau remidali, berkurang dalam Post Test dimana semua siswa. Media berbasia WEB ini ini bisa dikategorikan sebagai suatu inovasi yang dapat memecahkan masalah pendidikan terutama untuk menjadikan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dikembangkan cakupan materi lain dalam WEB, sehingga bukan hanya dikhususkan pada materi cerpen saja, melainkan juga materi-materi yang lainnya. Oleh karena itu diharapkan pengembang media berbasis WEB selanjutnya, dapat melakukan revisi/perbaikan atau memberikan tambahan bagi kesempurnaan media ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of science e-books, with a focus on the topic of mixture separation, delivered through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with the local potential of Petis as a traditional food, to improve students' problem-solving skills. The research was conducted at SMPN Yogyakarta in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, involving 24 students in class VIII as a randomly selected research sample. The research was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used was a problem-solving skills test consisting of 10 questions. The paired t-test results show a significance level of 0.001 which is smaller than the value of α = 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results of students' problem-solving skills. The N-gain of the pretest posttest of problem-solving skills is 0.46 with the acquisition per indicator as follows: understanding the problem (0.8), analyzing the problem (0.7), planning the solution (0.6), implementing the solution (0.6), and evaluating (0.5).  The effect size analysis shows a value of 0.94 which is included in the large category. Abstract

This study aims to produce PBL-STEM-based Student Worksheet Electronics assisted by PhET simulation on the topic of temperature and heat that is feasible and able to improve science literacy in a limited way by reviewing the results of N-Gain score analysis. The subjects in this study were students of class VII C SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok Sleman totaling 30 students, with 17 male and 13 female students. The research model used in this research is the 4-D (Four D) development model which consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments in this study were interview guidelines, validation sheets, and students' pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Analysis of feasibility data was obtained through a validation questionnaire validated by three expert validators, while the improvement of science literacy was obtained through the results of limited trials. The data was obtained through the results of the pre-test and post-test given to students before the application of PBL-STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheets assisted by PhET simulation and after the application of PBL-STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheets assisted by PhET simulation. The validity results of this study obtained an average assessment score from the three expert validators of 93% with very valid criteria so that the PBL-STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheet aided by PhET simulation can be applied to science learning. The results of improving science literacy through limited testing of PBL-STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheets assisted by PhET simulation as an effect caused by the use of development products are creating a problem solution of 0.78, identifying scientific issues of 0.74, explaining scientific phenomena of 0.72 and using scientific evidance of 0.71. Overall, the increase obtained for each indicator is categorized as high, resulting in an average N-Gain value of 0.71 with high value criteria so that it can improve students' science literacy. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the development of PBL-STEM-based Electronic Student Worksheets assisted by PhET simulation is valid and can improve students' scientific literacy through limited tests with high N-Gain categories in each science literacy indicator.         Keywords: elektronic student worksheet, problem based learning, STEM, science literacy.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i3.pp1099-1112

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam industri otomotif telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap efisiensi mesin kendaraan. Salah satu aspek kritis dalam sistem pembakaran adalah manajemen panas pada exhaust manifold. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakteristikkan distribusi panas, tekanan dan kecepatan aliran gas buang pada exhaust manifolddengan variasi putaran mesin menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan empat variasi putaran mesin yaitu 750 rpm, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm dan 2000 rpm. Setiap variasi putaran mesin memiliki suhu serta kecepatan aliran gas buang yang berbeda pada setiap saluran masuknya. Putaran mesin 750 rpm menaikkan suhu material manifold buang hingga 235°C. Suhu permukaan material meningkat secara signifikan seiring dengan kecepatan mesin. Perbandingan antara profil suhu gas buang dan suhu permukaan bahan exhaust manifoldmengungkapkan hubungan erat antara aktivitas mesin dan suhu permukaan. Peningkatan suhu seiring dengan kenaikan putaran mesin mencerminkan intensifikasi aktivitas pembakaran, memiliki dampak langsung pada kestabilan suhu manifold. Analisis tekanan gas buang menyoroti peningkatan tekanan seiring dengan peningkatan putaran mesin. Lonjakan tekanan pada putaran mesin tinggi mengindikasikan intensifikasi dalam volume dan kecepatan aliran gas buang selama fase pembakaran. Profil kecepatan aliran gas buang menunjukkan peningkatan sejalan dengan pertambahan putaran mesin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Pihak 1 (LSP-P1) di perguruan tinggi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap kerja. Dalam era globalisasi dan persaingan pasar tenaga kerja yang ketat, sertifikasi kompetensi menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus, melibatkan 10 LSP-P1 di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dari pengelola LSP, manajer sertifikasi, dan manajer mutu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun LSP-P1 memiliki struktur organisasi yang jelas dan skema sertifikasi aktif, masih terdapat tantangan dalam hal konsistensi layanan, keterbatasan sumber daya, serta kendala administratif. Beberapa LSP belum mengoptimalkan keterlibatan mitra industri dan peserta eksternal. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan dukungan administratif, penguatan kolaborasi dengan industri, serta pengembangan ekosistem sertifikasi yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perguruan tinggi dan LSP dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan sertifikasi untuk lulusan yang lebih kompeten di pasar kerja global

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the profiles of Pancasila students that students must possess in the independent curriculum. Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that students need in solving problems. This research aims to describe the implementation of interactive Science ebooks based on PBL to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in the topic of environmental pollution. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of the study is all seventh-grade students of SMPN in Yogyakarta. The sample of this research is the seventh-grade student’s one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta, selected through simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a multiple-choice critical thinking test with five indicators. Indicators of critical thinking abilities are explaining, evaluation, concluding, analysis, and designing strategies. The results showed an improvement in critical thinking skills through the N-gain test of 0.8, indicating a high category. The average indicator of students' critical thinking skills who obtained the highest score was the explaining indicator with an average of 90.5%, while the indicator with the lowest average among students' critical thinking skills was the analysis indicator with an average of 70.01%. This indicates that the use of Science Ebook Innovation Based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) can enhance the critical thinking skills of students. It is expected that this research can provide references for future researchers, and innovations related to interactive teaching materials can be developed not only for one subject but for all subjects in middle school science.
