Abstract

This research to analyze the used of learning media and conformity between the learning media used in Theme 7 with the learning style of students in grade IV Elementary School. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The reseacrh subjects were teachers and students of grade IV F Ta’mirul Islam Elementary School. The learning styles distinguished in visual, audiotorial and kinesthetic. The results of this research show that the media used in learning Theme 7 was suitable and in accordance with the principles and considerations of learning media selection. From 24 students, 12 students with visual learning style, 7 students with audiotorial learning style, and 5 students with kinesthetic learning style. The conclusion of this research was learning media used in Theme 7 facilitates more visual learning styles, but there are also learning media that facilitate audiotorial learning styles and kinesthetic learning styles. The implication of this research can increase knowledge about the use of learning media that is reviewed from learning style and can encaurage teachers to pay attention to consideration in the use of learning media especially learning style of students. Keywords: Learning Media, Thematic Learning, Theme 7 Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku, Elementary School,  and Learning Style of Students.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine the profile of class V students' abilities in classifying various Javanese gamelan musical instruments in the city of Surakarta in 2024. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population of this study was fifth grade students of state elementary schools in the city of Surakarta in 2024. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling combined with cluster random sampling. The data collection technique uses multiple choice tests. The validity of this research instrument uses content validity using the Aiken's V formula, while for reliability it uses the Cronbach's Alpha formula. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive statistical analysis. This data analysis technique is carried out to find the number, median, mode, standard deviation, minimum and maximum. The results of this research are that the ability of class V students to classify based on how to play and the materials for making Javanese gamelan instruments is in the "low" category with an average score of 69.42 out of a maximum score of 100.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve nonfiction text writing skills at V C students of Djama’atul Ichwan Elementary School by REACT learning model. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of one meeting. There are four stages that are passed in each cycle. The stages are a) planning, b) implementation of actions, c) observation, and d) reflection. The subject of this research was a teacher and 22 students of class V C. Data in this reseacrh were collected through interview, tests, observations, and documentations. The data then tested foe validity by data triangulation and techniques triangulation. Miles & Huberman interactive analysis is used as a data analysis technique in this research. The minimum completeness criteria for Indonesian subjects was 75. The results showed classical completeness in the first cycle was 52,38%, increased again to 80,95% in the second cycle, and in the third cycle the clasical completeness was 86,36%. Based on the results obtained, it can be seen that the application of the REACT learning model can improve the nonfiction text writing skills of elementary school students in Surakarta in the 2019/2020 school year.

Abstract

The pandemic of Covid-19 has led to school closures and Distance Learning. SD Negeri Kadiluwih Magelang is one of the Distance Learning implementers. With the introduction of PJJ, students are required to learn independently during the learning process, learning media are not used, students become less involved, and students continue to depend on parents and teachers. This study aims to examine the use of instructional media in grade IV SD Negeri Kadiluwih from the self-directed learning (SDL) perspective. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of the research are: (1) the learning process at SD Negeri Kadiluwih has attempted to apply student-centered learning by providing opportunities for students to develop themselves; (2) the application of learning media is adjusted based on the needs of students and the material to be delivered by; and (3) the self-directed learning that has been carried out has not fully delivered good results, because there are indicators that have not been fulfilled, i.e., a) students have not dared to create autonomous decisions; b) students do not dare to express their opinions and ideas independently; c) students are not fully planning and preparing their learning media; d) students still have difficulty completing the challenges delivered by the teacher; e) students are comfortable with traditional and systematic learning, and f) students cannot determine the learning media that will be used.

Abstract

This study examines the profile of the local content curriculum in elementary schools in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur (OKUT) Regency from the perspective of cultural enculturation. It evaluates curriculum elements content standarts, focusing on how Komering cultural values are integrated into primary education. Using a qualitative methodology and a literature study approach, data were gathered from three schools representing OKUT’s diverse cultural populations through observations, interviews, and document analysis. This study applies Miles and Huberman's interactive model and the encluturation dimension analysis framework to seven aspects of universal culture to analyze cultural values such as language, local knowledge, social organization, tools and technology, economy, religion, and art, which are contained in the content standards. Findings indicate that while language, local knowledge, social organization, religion and arts are well integrated. Economic and technological aspects remain underrepresented in current research and data analysis. The research highlights the need for a more inclusive content curriculum to promote cultural literacy and recommends further studies on cultural integration in education systems.

Abstract

Minat belajar siswa terhadap lagu daerah menunjukkan variasi yang beragam sehingga perlu dikaji dalam perspektif spektrum minat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan spektrum minat belajar siswa terhadap lagu daerah dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode campuran (mixed method) dengan desain sekuensial explanatory. Tahap kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat minat belajar siswa melalui angket, sedangkan tahap kualitatif digunakan untuk memperdalam temuan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 69 siswa kelas tinggi SD Negeri Gonilan 02 serta guru sebagai informan pendukung. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan secara deskriptif, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa terhadap lagu daerah berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 57,03. Sebanyak 56,52% siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, 39,13% kategori sedang, dan 4,35% kategori rendah. Jika ditinjau berdasarkan indikator, perhatian memperoleh persentase tertinggi (78,55%), diikuti ketertarikan (77,27%), keterlibatan (73,04%), dan perasaan senang (71,74%). Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa terhadap lagu daerah berada dalam suatu spektrum yang mencerminkan variasi tingkat minat dari rendah hingga tinggi. Variasi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, seperti perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian, motivasi, dan keterlibatan, serta faktor eksternal yang meliputi peran guru, metode pembelajaran, lingkungan keluarga, dan pengaruh media digital. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, kontekstual, dan menarik untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa terhadap lagu daerah sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya melalui pendidikan dasar

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the social skills in peer relations contained in the textbooks of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fourth grade students in the Merdeka Curriculum. This research is included in the type of content analysis research. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, this is because this research describes the reality of social skills in peer relations. Data collection techniques used were document inspection and interviews. Data validity testing techniques use techniques to increase persistence and use content validity of logical validity types. This study uses the interactive data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study concluded that social skills in peer relations which consisted of indicators of positive interaction with peers and having empathy with peers were included in the learning activities in the Natural and Social Sciences textbooks for fourth grade students of Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School. However, the level of domination of the development of each indicator of social skills in peer relations varies. Overall, the development of social skills in peer relations in the Natural and Social Sciences Textbook for Grade IV students at Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School has an unequal and uneven distribution pattern.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultural literacy development profile of the cultural literacy development profile in science science learning in grade 5 SD N 2 Drono in 2023/2024. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The subjects in this study are class teachers and 7 students of grade V of SD Negeri Drono 2 Klaten. The research data was obtained through observation techniques, interviews and document studies. To test the validity of the data, this study uses source triangulation and time triangulation. The researcher used an interactive model data analysis technique developed by Miles and Huberman. The teacher has integrated cross-cultural awareness into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of IPAS lessons. Various media, learning resources, and teaching methods are used to help students understand cultural differences. The research indicates that the teacher has fostered an inclusive environment that embraces cultural diversity. The teaching modules have comprehensively developed cross-cultural awareness. IPAS learning activities have enhanced cultural literacy, particularly in cross-cultural awareness. The teacher also evaluates IPAS learning by incorporating cross-cultural aspects. This promotes students' understanding and appreciation of local and diverse cultures, which is essential for effective interaction in heterogeneous communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of the BukuAku digital library in supporting reading comprehension among fifth-grade elemntary student in Gugus III, Banjarsari District. While digital libraries have potenstial to increase access to reading materials, their effectiveness in enhacing student’s reading comprehension remains uncertain. This research apllies a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving one experimental class using BukuAku and one control class using the Let’s Read application. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, and reading habit questionnaires an analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and effect size. The result show that although experimental group’s post-test score improved, the increase was not statistically significant. However, the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher reading habit scores than the control group. These findings indicate that digital libraries like BukuAku have potential but require structured instructional strategies and teacher support to effectively enhace reading comprehension in elementary school.

Abstract

In the learning process, assessment is crucial since it establishes students' differences from one another and their level of quality. Complete assessment will influence learning and serve as a guide for future policies. The precision with which evaluation principles are used will have a significant impact on validity and objectivity. In order to evaluate math learning in elementary schools, this study will look at how authentic assessment methods are applied. This study is a qualitative descriptive one. The subjects of the study were teachers, administrators, and students. In this study, interviews, observation, and document analysis were employed to obtain data. The Miles and Huberman model of interactive data analysis approaches is used in this study's data analysis method. Techniques for assessing the validity of data rely on a triangulation of sources, methods, and times. The findings of this research indicate that the principles of elementary school mathematics learning assessment are effective in realizing the authentic assessment concept.
