Abstract

ABSTRACT:  This study aims to examine the effect of health, education, and labor force moderated by urban population on the Human Development Index. This study uses a quantitative approach and a Moderated Regression Analysis technique with a sample of 25 OIC countries from 2010-2019 taken by purposive sampling method. The results showed that health, education, and the labor force affected the Human Development Index. While the urban population moderates the effect of health and the workforce on the Human Development Index, the urban population does not moderate the effect of education on the Human Development Index. This study has a novelty in the results of the study, namely the basic education variable which has a significant but negative effect on the Human Development Index. This research is limited to a sample of OIC member countries because more than 30% of poor countries with low income according to World Bank data are in OIC member countries, so it is hoped that this research will be able to provide references related to increasing the human development index to save them from poverty. Abstract

ABSTRACT Fast-growing shopping centers have a good impact on the economy in Indonesia. The large Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and opening up wide employment opportunities is a form of the shopping center's contribution. The increasing number of shopping centers makes competition between shopping centers, especially small shops or retail stores a threat that cannot be underestimated for shop owners. One of the important strategies that can be applied to a store by store owners is to design a store atmosphere. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of store atmosphere on behavioral intentions at Hakata & Co retail stores in Mataram city with customer emotion as an intervention variable. This study used a quantitative approach technique. The data collection technique was by distributing offline and online questionnaires to 60 respondents less than 15 years old to more than 35 years old and had come and or shopped at the Hakata & Co store. The analytical technique used in this research was AMOS SEM with AMOS-22 Software. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between each variable, namely store atmosphere, customer emotions, and behavioral intentions with the object of Hakata & Co. retail stores. Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world and has extraordinary potential in the amount and assets of Islamic microfinance and can be a reference for the application of Islamic Microfinance in other countries. The purpose of this study was to review the problems in murabaha financing at Islamic Microfinance Institution (IMFI) and the treatments. The approach used was a qualitative analysis of Indonesian literature studies about the specific type of murabaha financing with content analysis and thematic analysis techniques. This study found that internal and external factors caused problematic murabaha financing in BMT. Internal factors include the inaccuracy of BMT in 5C (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition), lack of supervision, procedures violations, facilities and infrastructure, and lack of human resources (HR). Meanwhile, external factors include bad customers, unexpected circumstances of customers, lack of customer income, inflation, and government policies. The actions done by the BMTs to overcome problematic murabaha financing were by implementing BMT guidelines for prospective customers, preventing and repressive supervising, applying a democratic leadership style, applying fines, rescheduling, restructuring and reconditioning write off, auction of collateral, and legal actions. This study recommends strengthening financing selection by improving human resource skills and also variations in handling murabaha financing with a humanist approach.

Abstract

The awareness of investors that only invest in green instruments has been increasing recently. Green sukuk was an investment that followed the Sharia principle and promoted environmental preservation. This study aims to analyze green sukuk in previous studies as an alternative financing for green infrastructure development in Indonesia. This study used a bibliometric method by taking secondary data from meta-data papers from Scopus and SCI. Forty papers from Scopus and 29 from SCI during 2016-2023 were taken as samples. Data were analyzed with Vosviewer and Biblioshiny. The results of this study show that the energy was closely related to the topic of green sukuk. Energy was mostly used in the abstract and titles of papers. Moreover, the abstract and the title showed that the word sustainable was used frequently, implying that the energy power plant could become an underlying asset for green sukuk due to its sustainable revenue. However, the government should take action to create regulations that could support the green project as an underlying asset of Green Sukuk.
