Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the Urgency of Learning Arabic in Islamic Education. This research is a library research (Library Research). The library method is a suitable method in this research. Because in this case library sources such as books and journals both nationally and internationally will be used to collect various data relating to instilling the values of monotheism in learning Arabic. The results of this study indicate that there is an urgency to learn Arabic in the realm of Islamic education when viewed from the perspective of human life, structurally related to cultural tools. The final goal of Islamic education is to become part of the actualization of the will of Islamic teachings with the mission of starting to prosper mankind as essentially servants of God Almighty, Allah SWT, both physically and spiritually, in this world and in the hereafter with the basis that we are holy Al-Qur'an also Hadith.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine in depth the application of Islamic counseling services in strengthening students’ self-adjustment at three Islamic senior high schools (madrasah aliyah) affiliated with modern pesantren in Medan City—MA Darul Hikmah, MA Al-Kausar Al-Akbar, and MA Ta’dib Al-Syakirin. The research focus is directed toward addressing the empirical gap concerning the effectiveness of Islamic counseling services within an urban and boarding school-based context. Design/methods/approach – Employing a qualitative approach with a multisite study design, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Informants consisted of school principals, counseling teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis was conducted thematically and across sites using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. Findings – Islamic counseling services play a strategic role in strengthening students’ self-adjustment across three dimensions: social, emotional, and spiritual. The three pesantren adopt different approaches—spiritual-integrative, dialogical-reflective, and assertive-symbolic—yet share aligned objectives. The types of services include orientation, information, individual/group counseling, spiritual reinforcement, as well as evaluation and referral. Success is highly influenced by students’ personal readiness and institutional support. However, the effectiveness of these services has not yet been measured using quantitative evaluative instruments, resulting in outcome assessments that remain descriptive. Research implications – Practical implications include the need to formalize the structure of counseling services in pesantren, provide data-driven training for counseling teachers, strengthen the role of musyrif as informal mentors, and promote intensive collaboration with parents. This model is relevant for implementation in similar Islamic educational institutions to holistically strengthen students’ character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic communication strategies by mediators at the Mahkamah Syar’iyah (Sharia Court) of Bireuen Regency, Indonesia, in mediating divorce petition cases. The background of this research lies in the high number of divorce cases filed annually, while the mediation success rate remains relatively low. The study employs a qualitative approach through field research. Data were collected via in-depth interviews with the Chief Judge of the Mahkamah Syar’iyah and mediator judges, supported by the examination of official court documents. The findings reveal that although Islamic communication principles, such as hikmah (wisdom), mau’izhah hasanah (good counsel), and mujadalah billati hiya ahsan (best form of debate), have been incorporated into the mediation process, their implementation still faces significant challenges, including limited human resources, the absence of specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the diverse socio-cultural backgrounds of the parties involved. Nevertheless, Islamic communication strategies have proven effective in fostering constructive dialogue, promoting mutual respect, and offering fair solutions aligned with Islamic law. The study recommends enhancing mediator capacity, strengthening technical regulations, and developing standardized procedures to improve mediation success rates in the future. ***** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi Islami yang diterapkan oleh mediator di Mahkamah Syar’iyah Kabupaten Bireuen, Indonesia, dalam memediasi pasangan yang mengajukan gugat cerai. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tingginya jumlah perkara perceraian yang masuk setiap tahun, sementara tingkat keberhasilan mediasi relatif rendah. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode penelitian lapangan (field research). Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Ketua Mahkamah Syar’iyah dan para hakim mediator, serta didukung oleh telaah dokumen resmi pengadilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun prinsip-prinsip komunikasi Islami seperti hikmah, mau’izhah hasanah, dan mujadalah billati hiya ahsan telah diupayakan untuk diimplementasikan, pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, termasuk keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, belum adanya SOP khusus, serta perbedaan latar belakang sosial-budaya para pihak. Namun demikian, strategi komunikasi Islami terbukti berkontribusi dalam membangun dialog yang konstruktif, menumbuhkan rasa saling menghormati, serta memberikan alternatif solusi yang lebih berkeadilan dan sesuai syariat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kapasitas mediator, penguatan regulasi teknis, dan pengembangan prosedur baku guna mengoptimalkan keberhasilan mediasi di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter pada anak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting dalam menciptakan generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga tangguh secara spiritual dan sosial-emosional. Usia dini dikenal sebagai masa keemasan perkembangan, sehingga internalisasi nilai-nilai Islami menjadi strategi efektif untuk menanamkan karakter mulia sejak awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model pembentukan karakter Islami melalui pendekatan internalisasi berbasis psikologi positif Islami, dengan ruang lingkup pada pendidikan anak usia dini dalam konteks keluarga, sekolah, dan lingkungan sosial. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif melalui studi pustaka, dengan menganalisis literatur akademik, sumber keislaman (Al-Qur’an dan hadits), serta hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi internalisasi nilai Islami secara efektif dapat dilakukan melalui empat pendekatan utama: keteladanan, pembiasaan, cerita dan permainan edukatif, serta kolaborasi antara sekolah dan keluarga. Selain itu, budaya sekolah Islami dan peran keluarga sebagai madrasah pertama menjadi faktor penunjang keberhasilan proses internalisasi. Perspektif psikologi positif Islami memperkuat proses ini melalui penguatan nilai seperti iman, syukur, tawakal, sabar, optimisme, dan empati. Internalisasi nilai bukan hanya proses transfer pengetahuan, tetapi pengalaman yang menyentuh aspek afektif dan spiritual anak secara langsung, sehingga nilai-nilai tersebut menjadi bagian dari kepribadian yang utuh. Dengan demikian, model pembentukan karakter Islami berbasis psikologi positif tidak hanya relevan secara teoritis, tetapi juga aplikatif dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung perkembangan karakter anak secara holistik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan strategi pendidikan karakter Islami yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan di era modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas doa dan dzikir sebagai strategi regulasi diri dalam proses belajar. Regulasi diri merupakan kemampuan individu untuk mengendalikan pikiran, emosi, dan perilaku guna mencapai tujuan belajar secara efektif. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, regulasi diri tidak hanya mencakup aspek kognitif dan metakognitif, tetapi juga aspek spiritual yang memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap ketenangan batin, fokus, dan motivasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan (library research) dengan menelaah sumber primer berupa Al-Qur’an, Hadis, dan kitab klasik Islam, serta sumber sekunder seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan karya akademik yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) untuk mendeskripsikan, menafsirkan, dan mensintesis temuan dari berbagai literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa doa dan dzikir berperan penting dalam tiga aspek utama regulasi diri, yaitu motivasi, pengendalian emosi, dan perilaku belajar. Doa berfungsi mengarahkan niat, membentuk kesiapan mental, menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri, dan menguatkan motivasi intrinsik. Dzikir membantu menjaga ketenangan batin, memulihkan fokus saat terdistraksi, menurunkan kecemasan akademik, serta menumbuhkan rasa syukur dan optimisme. Keduanya efektif dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi, ketenangan, dan motivasi belajar jika dilakukan secara konsisten dan penuh penghayatan. Efektivitas ini diperkuat oleh kesadaran spiritual, dukungan lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah, serta manajemen waktu yang baik. Dengan demikian, doa dan dzikir bukan hanya ritual ibadah, tetapi juga instrumen psikologis yang mampu mengintegrasikan kekuatan spiritual dengan pengaturan diri, sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih fokus, tenang, bermakna, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter Islami.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic law in Aceh has been formally enforced for more than two decades, yet its image remains dominated by negative public perceptions. In fact, the enforcement of Islamic law in Aceh is necessary for the Acehnese people, who have undergone a long, dynamic process between Aceh and the central government. This study aims to analyze the branding of the image of Islamic law in Aceh to formulate effective communication strategies to support the strengthening of its implementation. This study uses a mixed-method approach, combining a quantitative survey to capture public perceptions with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Berger and Luckmann’s social construction theory serves as an analytical framework for understanding the process of forming and negotiating the meaning of Islamic Sharia. The results of the study show that negative perceptions of Islamic Sharia are influenced by weak coordination between institutions, inequality in law enforcement, and resistance from some community groups. However, it was also found that local culture plays a vital role in internalizing the values of Sharia and strengthening its positive image as the religious and cultural identity of the Acehnese people.

Abstract

Students' Arabic speaking skills are a problem based on this research, in Arabic speaking skills a must be mastered by class VIII B students of MTs Tadib Al-Syakirin, with the mediation of story text media to improve students' Arabic speaking skills. With that the authors conducted this study aimed at describing or describing the improvement of the Arabic speaking skills of class VIII B MTs students through the medium of story text. The researcher conducted the research in two cycles, with that the researcher used the CAR (Classroom Action Research) method by collecting test and non-test data, while the data collection technique by the test was in the form of student learning outcomes sheets, and the data collection technique by non-test was in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The research object was class VIII B students in the even semester of 2022-2023, a total of 17 students. In using story text media the researcher obtained results in the first cycle students achieved an average value of 56.87% which this value included in the sufficient category with that the researcher carried out cycle II with the aim of achieving completeness of student scores, cycle II achievers with an average value 82.69% belong to the very good category, the increase achieved by students by using story text media is 25.65%. So through the medium of story text with the material المَدرَسَةُ it can be seen that students' Arabic speaking skills have increased.

Abstract

This study explores the views of Islamic Religious Education on religious moderation and describes the understanding of religious moderation by three Islamic Religious Education teachers at an Islamic school in Indonesia in August 2025. Religious moderation is seen as an important approach to dealing with multicultural social dynamics. The method used is qualitative with snowball sampling technique for informant selection. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of classes and relevant school activities. The findings show that teachers interpret religious moderation as a principle of balance between commitment to faith and tolerance, as well as social behavior that respects diversity. The implementation of religious moderation in learning practices shows a variety of strategies, such as contextual discussions, case studies of tolerance, and the integration of moderate values into teaching materials. This article proposes recommendations to strengthen the Islamic Religious Education curriculum that favors the formation of moderate attitudes, as well as the development of professional training for teachers. The implications of this research are relevant for Islamic education policymakers and curriculum practitioners.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has shifted human communication patterns from synchronous to asynchronous modes. This study aims to describe the characteristics of asynchronous communication, analyze its impact on message comprehension, and explain how it influences users’ emotional responses. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on a literature study, this research reviews relevant works in digital communication, cognitive psychology, and emotional response theories. Findings indicate that asynchronous communication offers advantages in time flexibility and message processing, but also presents challenges such as limited emotional cues and potential misunderstandings. Message comprehension is closely tied to an individual’s cognitive capacity, while emotional responses are more filtered yet susceptible to emotional detachment. This study contributes theoretically by linking cognitive and affective aspects in digital communication and offers practical insights for developing more empathetic communication strategies in the digital era.
