Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial self-efficacy, risk tolerance, risk perception, and gender on individual investment decisions using a moderation and mediation approach. In addition, this study also examines the role of risk tolerance in mediating the effect of financial self-efficacy on investment decisions as well as the role of gender in moderating the effect of financial self-efficacy on risk tolerance and investment decisions. The sample used in this study is individuals living in Madura Island who invest in financial and real assets. A total of 416 respondents filled out the questionnaire distributed online. This study uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. The results of this study prove that financial self-efficacy, risk tolerance, and gender have a positive effect on individual investment decisions. Meanwhile, risk perception has a negative effect on individual investment decisions. Risk tolerance partially mediates the effect of financial self-efficacy on investment decisions. Furthermore, gender strengthens the effect of financial self-efficacy on risk tolerance and investment decisions. This study provides an understanding of the role of risk in investment decisions. Investors are expected to increase their financial knowledge and control their behavioral biases so as not to get trapped in high-risk investments.

Abstract

The skincare industry in Indonesia has grown rapidly alongside globalization, leading to intense competition among brands. Marina, a local hand & The Indonesian skincare industry is rapidly growing, creating intense competition among brands. Marina, a local hand & body lotion brand established in 1981, is experiencing declining sales due to competitor innovations and stronger brand positioning. This study investigates the mediating role of brand trust in the effect of online customer reviews and brand image on purchase decisions for Marina products in Tangerang. The research involved 180 respondents selected through purposive and accidental sampling. Data were processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings show that: (1) online customer reviews positively and significantly affect purchase decisions, (2) brand image has no direct effect on purchase decisions, (3) both online reviews and brand image significantly influence brand trust, (4) brand trust positively affects purchase decisions, and (5) brand trust mediates the relationship between online reviews, brand image, and purchase decisions. These results highlight the importance of building brand trust as a key strategy. Managing credible online reviews and maintaining product quality consistency can enhance consumer confidence, foster loyalty, and sustain competitiveness in the skincare market.

Abstract

In the digital era, digital literacy is a very important skill for students, especially in supporting entrepreneurial activities. The spirit of independence is also important which encourages students to take risks and start their own business. This study explores how digital literacy skills and a self-reliant mindset affect students drive to become entrepreneurs.  This quantitative study uses a survey and multiple regression analysis to examine how two independent variables influence the dependent variable. The results of the study based on multiple regression analysis table significance value of digital literacy (X1) of 0.026 <0.05 and the significance value of the spirit of independence (X2) of 0.037 <0.05. The conclusion that digital literacy and the spirit of independence significantly affect student entrepreneurship motivation. The implications of the study indicate the importance of developing digital literacy and the spirit of independence in educational programs to increase entrepreneurial motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study was conducted on PT XYZ employees who work in a shift system, with a sample of 136 respondents. The research approach used is quantitative with survey methods and causality analysis. The data analysis technique was carried out using variant-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software version 4.1.1.2. The results of the study show that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, which means that transformational leaders are able to increase work effectiveness and productivity. In addition, transformational leadership also has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, which reflects that leaders who provide motivation and inspiration are able to increase employee attachment to the company. Furthermore, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, which indicates that employee loyalty and belonging drive improved work performance. These findings confirm that the influence of leadership on performance does not only occur directly, but also indirectly through increased organizational commitment. Therefore, companies need to strengthen the role of transformational leadership as a strategy to build commitment and drive optimal employee performance

Abstract

The Process Control Systems course, newly introduced in the 2022 ATI Makassar Polytechnic curriculum, emphasizes applied control practices to strengthen students’ understanding of process regulation. This study develops a teaching module for water tank level regulation using Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control implemented through LabVIEW and Arduino Uno. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the DEDTE framework (Define, Explore, Design, Test, Evaluate), a mini plant was designed featuring a bang-bang controller with a 220 VAC water pump as the manipulated variable and a pendulum sensor connected to a 10 kΩ potentiometer. To enable PID control, a proportional valve actuated by an MG995 servo motor was integrated. Experimental results showed the level sensor achieved 97.61% accuracy, 2.86% precision, and 99.83% correlation with a regression model Y = 8.1025X – 12.488. The servo-controlled valve test indicated a flow rate of 21.5844 ml/s at full opening with 1.48% precision and 93.94% correlation (Y = 225.66 – 2.0232X). The module effectively supports PID-based water level control, enhancing laboratory-based process automation education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Time Token learning model on the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Parung Bingung 1. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 58 students, divided into an experimental class (using the Time Token model) and a control class (using direct instruction). Data were collected through speaking skill tests (pre-test and post-test) and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests. The findings revealed a significant improvement in speaking skills in the experimental class compared to the control class. The average pre-test score of the experimental class increased from 23.67 to 35.03 in the post-test, while the control class improved from 31.07 to 40.11. An independent t-test indicated that the Time Token learning model had a significant effect on students’ speaking skills (p < 0.05). The study concludes that the Time Token model is effective in enhancing students’ speaking skills by providing equal opportunities for each student to speak, reducing anxiety, and promoting active participation in learning. Therefore, this model can serve as an alternative for teachers in developing more interactive and effective teaching methods.

Abstract

Low financial literacy and informal bookkeeping constrain the Mandiri Farmer Group’s enterprise management and access to external financing in Mudung Darat, Maro Sebo, Muaro Jambi. This progress report summarizes a three-week participatory mentoring program that strengthened basic financial capabilities, introduced standardized manual and digital cashbooks, and guided the preparation of simple financial statements. Methods combined interactive lectures, simulations, hands-on transaction recording, and coaching using context-fit templates. Early results show the adoption of routine cash recording, the production of the group’s first structured income–expense and simple profit–loss reports, shorter reporting time, and clearer transparency to members. These outputs have begun to inform season-based cost planning and sales decisions, signaling a shift toward data-driven management. The intervention demonstrates that lightweight tools and close mentoring can quickly improve accountability and decision quality in smallholder settings. The approach is scalable for rural groups with similar constraints and supports inclusive, evidence-based agricultural development.

Abstract

This research aims to explore various approaches that have been applied in teaching biology with an environmental approach to develop students' entrepreneurial character. This article uses a systematic review method based on several references from books, articles, and online scientific publications. In conclusion, this literature review shows that environmental-based projects, collaboration with environmental organisations, and comprehensive curriculum integration can improve students' entrepreneurial skills. However, there are challenges in implementing these methods, especially regarding long-term impact evaluation and appropriate teaching strategies. Thus, this study provides insights into the importance of entrepreneurship integration in biology education to shape sustainable entrepreneurial character, and offers recommendations for further research in curriculum development that is adaptive to the needs of the times.
