Abstract

Fertilization is one of efforts done by farmers to increase the production and quality of onions.  This research aimed to find out the effect of manure and NPK fertilizers to the growth and production of onions. This research was conducted in Paloh Lada Village, Dewantara Sub-district, North Aceh and Agroecotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University from May to July 2018. This research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) Factorial. The first factor was manure (P): 15 tons/ha (P1), 20 tons/ha (P2), 25 tons/ha (P3). The second factor was NPK fertilizers (N): 150 kg/ha (N1), 200 kg/ha (N2) and 250 kg/ha (N3). The results indicated that there was high significant interaction between manure and NPK fertilizers on wet weight and dry weight of onion bulbs and also bulb yield. The application of manure significantly enhanced the wet weight and dry weight of onion bulbs and its production and it also significantly increased the plant height at 14 days after planting. The application of NPK increased the wet weight and production of onion bulbs significantly. Also, the combination application of manure 15 tons/ha and NPK fertilizers 150 kg/ha did improve the wet weight, dry weight and production of onion bulbs.

Abstract

The application of modern biotechnology is needed in order to enhance the genetic diversity of mangosteens. The application of tissue culture on mangosteens is an important thing to do to support the biotechnology program of mangosteen plants. The purpose of this research is to reveal the influence of location of explants and Benzylaminopurine (BAP) concentration on germination of local Acehnese mangosteens in vitro. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of tissue culture of the Faculty of Agriculture, Malikussaleh University from March to May 2017. The study used an environmental design in the form of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is the location of explant position is abaxial (L1) and adaxial (L2). The second factor was the concentration of BAP 0 mg / L (B0), 2.5 mg / L (b1), and 5 mg / L (B2). The results showed that the position of eksplan gave an effect on mangosteen germination in vitro for its shoot length variables. The explant positions that had the best effect on the growth of in vitro mangosteen sprouts were adaxial. BAP concentration had an effect on germination of mangosteen in vitro for its bud growth and life percentage. 2.5 ppm of BAP concentration was the best concentration for mangosteen seed growth in vitro. There was no interaction between eksplan position and BAP concentration in all observed variables

Abstract

Cekaman kekeringan menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman diantaranya terjadinya penurunan laju asimilasi. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Rumah Plastik Lapangan Riset Padi Babakan, University Farm IPB, Bogor (± 240 m dpl) pada bulan September 2011 sampai February 2012. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan split plot 3 ulangan, dengan dua faktor perlakuan yaitu faktor utama (Cekaman kekeringan) sebagai petak utama yang terdiri dari penghentian pemberian air umur 3Minggu Setelah Transplanting (3MST) sampai panen; Penghentian pemberian air umur  6 MST sampai panen; penghentian pemberian air umur 9 MST sampai panen dan  kontrol.  Sedangkan faktor kedua adalah varietas yang ditempatkan sebagai anak petak yaitu IR 64, Ciherang, IPB 3S, Way Apo Buru, Jatiluhur, Menthik Wangi, Silugonggo dan Rokan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan cekaman kekeringan pada saat awal fase vegetatif sampai panen dan pada fase pra antesis sampai panen menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan laju asimilasi bersih berkisar 42.96%-78.95% dan laju tumbuh relatif berkisar 22.95%-69.62%. Varietas Jatiluhur dan Ciherang memiliki laju asimilasi bersih yang lebih tinggi pada perlakuan cekaman kekeringan yang diberikan pada awal fase vegetatif sampai panen

Abstract

Water stress is one of factors which causes low yield of lowland. This study aimed to identify and characterize morphology and physiology of drought tolerant rice varieties. Experiments which have conducted: (i) Investigation of rice varieties tolerance to drought stress at early vegetative stage in the laboratory (ii) morphology and physiology characters of rice varieties to drought stress in the paddy field and (iii) determining the character of root of  rice tolerant to drought stress. The experimental design used was split plot design with 3 (three) replications, with drought stress as the main plot and the variety as sub-plot. The result of screening test at the laboratory using PEG (Polyethylene Glycol) which could characterize which rice varieties could be considered as drought tolerant varieties. Results showed that periods of drought increasing the proline content at Ciherang (25.38 μmol) and IPB 3S varieties (22.08 μmol) at 13 WAT (Week After Transplanting). The variety that has the highest total sugar content in the flowering stage is Rokan (289.38 mg.g-1DW) followed by Menthik Wangi (230.53 mg.g1DW), while the lowest sugar content in harvest found in Jatiluhur (17.14 mg.g-1DW) followed by Way Apo Buru (46.99 mg.g-1DW). Jatiluhur, Way Apo Buru and IPB 3S varieties have drought tolerant based on the root characteristic. Ciherang, IPB 3S, Way Apo Buru and Jatiluhur varieties were drought tolerant and potential to be used in paddy field.

Abstract

Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L) merupakan komoditas pangan nomor 3 terpenting setelah padi dan kedelai, serta telah dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber karbohidrat, minyak dan tepung. Budidaya untuk beberapa varietas jagung di Aceh Utara belum memiliki acuan atau rekomendasi jarak tanam yang tepat sehingga hasil yang dicapai belum maksimal. Untuk itu perlu dikaji kombinasi antara varietas dan jarak tanam untuk mendapatkan jarak tanam sesuai dengan varietas yang ditanam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tambon Tunong Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara dengan ketinggian tempat 10 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl) dari bulan November 2020 s.d Januari 2021. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga diperoleh 36 unit percobaan. Faktor pertama adalah Varietas (V) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu V1 (Varietas Lamuru), V2 (Varietas Bisma), V3 (Varietas Srikandi Kuning-1), dan V4 (Varietas Anoman-1). Faktor kedua adalah jarak tanam (J) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu J1 (60 cm x 20 cm), J2 (70 cm x 50 cm), dan J3 (80 cm x 20 cm). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan varietas berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur (2 dan 4 MST) serta jumlah daun (2 MST). Perlakuan varietas juga berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman (8 MST), umur berbunga, namun perlakuan varietas tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman (6 MST), jumlah daun (4, 6 dan 8 MST), diameter batang (2, 4, 6 dan 8 MST). Sedangkan pada perlakuan jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap umur berbunga, namun perlakuan jarak tanam tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman (2, 4, 6 dan 8 MST), jumlah daun (2, 4, 6 dan 8 MST), diameter batang (2, 4, 6, dan 8 MST). Terdapat interaksi antara kombinasi perlakuan varietas dan jarak tanam terhadap jumlah daun 2 MST, kombinasi perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan varietas Bisma dan jarak tanam 60x20 cm.

Abstract

The best tool for keeping an eye on an institution's performance is the Balanced Scorecard. similar to the workshop that was conducted at Muhammadiyah Mahakarya Aceh University, which was established in 2022 as a result of the union of four distinct establishments. Every organization has work that has to be done seriously: employee performance. The purpose of the balanced scorecard implementation workshop is to bring all staff members' goals together so they can support the university's ambitious performance and aspirations. This activity uses a Balanced Scorecard implementation technique, which is related to the goals, strategies, and targets specified through four (four) stages: program socialization, training, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The ideas that each participant in this activity put forth to work together to further Muhammadiyah Mahakarya Aceh University inspired excitement

Abstract

Education management strategies can be applied to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the digital era. With the development of information and communication technology, innovative approaches are needed to ensure PAI learning remains relevant and effective. This research explores the concept of education management that focuses on the use of technology in PAI teaching, exploring the potential of online platforms, mobile applications, and other digital resources. This type of research is qualitative, with a descriptive approach to analysis. The data collection method used is through observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques through data collection, data presentation and data verification. In addition, this study also discusses the challenges that may arise during the implementation of this strategy and provides a view on the integration of technology to achieve holistic PAI learning objectives. By detailing concrete steps and case studies, this research provides practical guidance for educators and school administrators to improve the effectiveness of PAI learning in facing the dynamics of the digital era

Abstract

Research "Analysis of the Influence of Lecturer Personality Competence and Teaching Style on Student Achievement in the New Normal Period". The purpose of the research is to find out from this research is to analyze the influence of the lecturer's personality competence and teaching style on student learning achievement in the new normal period. The sample of this study was students of the Faculty of Economics, Jabal Ghafur University. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis to examine the effect of the independent variable X (lecturer's personality competence and teaching style) on the dependent variable Y (student learning achievement). Based on the results of calculated f = 15,768 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05, sohypothesis H1 is acceptedit means that there is an effect of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y). Ptest the value with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05 because the value is greater than the hypothesis is accepted 15thitung=3.971>2.024thitungttabel"> it means that there is an effect of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y).Score the coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.293, which implies that the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 29.3%. Thus the magnitude of the influence of the lecturer's personality competence on learning outcomes is 29.37% which means it has an influence, while 70.63% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research is a research development practicum guide in the field of chemistry education. The aims of this research are 1) to getpractical guide based on type syntax Project Based Learning 2) Get the type practicum guide Project Based Learning. 3) Significant increase in learning outcomes that are taught using Zoom Cloud Meetingand a practical guide developed with the type Project Based Learning. 4) The effectiveness of the learning process that is taught by using Zoom Cloud Meeting by usingtype practicum guide Project Based Learning. The stages in this research are (1) Syntax analysis of the Project Based Learning learning model to determine the components of the chemistry practicum guide according to the Project Based Learning type, (2) Compile and develop a chemistry practicum guide for electrolyte and non-electrolyte materials in accordance with the Project Based type syntax. Learning, (3) Standardization or or feasibility test of practicum guides to teacher validators, (4) Implementation of practicum guides for class X students of SMA Negeri Unggul Sigli, (5) Analyzing the effectiveness of Project Based Learning type practicum guides in electrolyte and non-electrolyte learning by using Zoom Cloud Meetingwhich has been tested. The results of the feasibility test for the Project Based Learning type practicum guide 3.50. While the effectiveness of the use of Project Based Learning type practicum guides seen from student learning outcomes, it is known that the experimental class I that does not use Project Based Learning type practicum guides usesZoom Cloud Meeting an average of 56.00 with an increase in learning outcomes of 51.4% while the experimental class II which uses a Project Based Learning type practicum guide by using Zoom Cloud Meetingan average of 81.75 with an increase in learning outcomes of 58.8%. So it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning type practicum guide is feasible to be used as a practicum guide in schools, with an increase in learning outcomes using a Project Based Learning type practicum guide that usesZoom Cloud Meeting higher value compared to student learning outcomes without using a practicum guide

Abstract

The efforts of the rooting of regenerants resulting from gamma-ray irradiation require plant tissue culture, which known as micrografting. This technique can help irradiated regenerants to develop a well root system, by combining non-rooting shoots with rooted in vitro cultured shoots of plant rootstock. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of seed explants cutting and the application of different BAP concentrations for the successful micro-grafting of mangosteen in vitro. This experiment employed Complete Randomized Design (CRD) Factorial with two factors and ten replications. The first factor was the cutting treatments of mangosteen seeds explants for rootstock shoots, consisting of 2 types of seeds: uncut and cut seeds. The second factor was BAP concentrations: BAP 0 mg/l and BAP 2 mg/l. The results showed that the division of the seeds had an influence on the results of micro-grafting mangosteen in vitro. Micrografted mangosteen, which rootstock applied from undivided seeds, possessed faster growth, longer shoots, and produce more leaves compared to rootstock shoots from the divided seeds. BAP concentrations also contributed to the results. The application of BAP 2 mg/ demonstrated better effect on all variables observed. There were no interactions between seed divisions and BAP concentrations in all observed variables.
