Abstract

Stunting is a form of nutritional problem in the life cycle that is very important to be considered and addressed immediately, because stunting is a form of growth and development failure caused by chronic malnutrition and repeated infections that require immediate intervention or management. As an effort to accelerate the reduction of stunting in the UPTD Puskesmas Kilan work area, the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) was implemented. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the stunting reduction acceleration program through the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) at UPTD Puskesmas Kilan, Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The theory used in this research is Budiani's (2007) program effectiveness theory with 4 (four) indicators, namely the accuracy of the Program Targets, Program Socialization, Program Objectives, and Program Monitoring. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the acceleration program to reduce stunting through Supplementary Feeding (PMT) at UPTD Puskesmas Kilan, Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency has not been effective. There are several inhibiting factors faced, namely the lack of ability of the implementing officers in implementing the program, then the communication factor because the program conveyed to the community has not been able to increase public understanding of the program.

Abstract

People who live on peatlands are very dependent on the values and functions contained by the surrounding ecosystem. They certainly need empowerment to strengthen their social capital in meeting their needs. This study aims to analyze the importance of strengthening community social capital on peatlands. The research method used is qualitative research to describe and explain the observed conditions. The results showed that the pattern of ecosystem management on peatlands did not involve all parties, so that people living on peatlands did not really feel the benefits. Whereas the existence of the community can be relied on in maintaining the ecosystem even though they have reasons to use existing resources to fulfill their daily needs. It is just a matter of how all stakeholders involved can make efforts to empower them so that they have strong social capital to protect the environment. With this, the community will feel they have an interest in using all available resources on peatlands in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a peatland management plan for Riau province that is based on the ideas of public-private collaboration. Data from this qualitative descriptive research were collected through a multimodal manner: interviews, in-depth literature reviews, and secondary data sources. The data analysis approach employed an interactive model that was inspired by Emerson and Nabatchi’s work on the dynamics of collaborative governance. Interviews were conducted with members of the public and commercial sectors, as well as local communities and experts. This study found that there are recurring barriers in peatland management in Riau, such as the need for more active and robust collaboration between the government and private sectors. Although the government functions within defined boundaries, the private sector often designs programs aligned with the interests of specific stakeholder groups. This situation frequently leads to incomplete projects, overlapping programs, and inadvertent strategies. The findings show there are concerns about the future adoption of sustainable methods in peatland management due to the divide between the public and private sectors. For this reason, resolving these issues is essential to protecting Riau’s peatlands and their ecological and economic significance for future generations.

Abstract

Batam City is a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) area or Free Trade Zone and Free Port. Government Regulation Number 41 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Free Trade Zones and Free Ports regulates licensing service procedures in free trade zone areas integrated with the Indonesia Batam Online Single Submission (IBOSS) system. The change from manual to online creates new problems for licensing services in the Batam City free trade zone area. This research aims to analyze and describe the implementation of free trade zone licensing services through the Indonesia Batam Online Single Submission system in Batam City, as well as identifying obstacles in its implementation. The theory used in this research is Charles O. Jones' policy implementation theory which is seen from 3 indicators, namely, organization, interpretation, and application or application. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results of this research found that the organizations involved in implementing licensing services in free trade zone areas through the IBOSS system are not yet optimal, there are still differences in understanding which often make things difficult for business actors. Meanwhile, from the aspect of interpretation, the Batam Concession Agency is pursuing integration between the IBOSS system and related agencies and systems. Regarding the application/implementation aspect of the IBOSS system in Batam City, the existence of the IBOSS system does provide convenience compared to previously being done offline or face to face, however in its implementation the IBOSS system is not yet optimal in providing services. The inhibiting factors in this research are the problems of perception differentiation between related directorates, system disintegration, the quality of equipment that must be high, and the insufficient quality of information systems.

Abstract

The presence of a company within the society is fundamentally anticipated to be beneficial and capable of fostering a mutually symbiotic relationship between the two entities. Each company is obligated to attend to its surrounding environment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs or social responsibilities. Many companies overlook the well-being of the society around them and engage in CSR merely as a formality. However, Babada Corp, operating in the food industry, consistently implements CSR programs and internalizes them as a matter of consciousness. This study aims to discover the effectiveness of Babada Corp's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on the surrounding community and to identify the hindering factors that impede the company in fulfilling its obligations through CSR programs. The methodological approach implemented in this research is qualitative method with descriptive phenomenological approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The study draws upon Sutrisno's theory of program effectiveness as its theoretical framework. Data for this study consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained through interviews with research informants and secondary data acquired through observations and documentation of the research object. The findings of the study indicate that Babada Corp focuses its CSR efforts on five areas: religious preaching, economic, education, healthcare, and humanity. Despite encountering challenges in implementation, the programs have been effective and sustainable. One of the inhibiting factors is the absence of a predefined schedule due to financial constraints hindering program disbursement.

Abstract

The Laskar Mandiri Kampung Kayu Ara Permai Conservation Group uses the mangrove forest to become an edutourism-based tourist attraction with the name Mangrove Sungai Bersejarah (MSB) Edutourism. The problem with managing mangrove tourism is that on average it only relies on the natural charm of mangroves, so visitors are reluctant to visit again. Likewise what happens in MSB tourism, the use of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) from mangroves can be a special attraction in the mangrove area and can also improve the group's economy. The absence of a tourist attraction is the basis for the downstream dedication of mangrove NTFPs as a creative economic group so that it can provide added value to tourist areas. The method used is to provide knowledge and training to groups about the importance of developing NTFPs in tourist areas. The findings show that there is potential for NTFPs that can be developed, such as mangrove batik, dodol, mangrove coffee, kedabu syrup, jeruju sticks, kedabu jam, waru peyek and bolu berembang. The conclusion of the service is that MSB tourism can be developed not only in the edutourism aspect, but can also be developed in the minatourism aspect through NTFPs.
