Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the enhancement in student learning outcomes subsequent to the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning instructional approach in the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, located in the Sangihe Islands district, during the academic year 2022/2023. The present study is an instance of classroom action research (PTK) employing an action cycle that encompasses action preparation, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants of this study consisted of 18 students from class XI MIPA3 at SMA N 2 Tondano. The data gathering methods encompass the assessment of student learning outcomes through the utilisation of test result data conducted at the conclusion of each instructional cycle. The data analysis was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach. The findings of the study indicated that the implementation of questionnaires in cycle I resulted in a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. The sample size for this phase of the research consisted of 18 participants. The completion rate of students' learning outcomes exhibited an upward trend, rising from 79.94% in cycle I to 86.27% in cycle II. The observed rise in student learning scores over each cycle suggests that the utilisation of the Problem-Based Learning model has the potential to enhance the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIPA3 SMA N 2 Tondano.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a mobile learning media product using an articulate storyline application on human circulatory system material that is feasible and can be used by students at SMA Negeri 1 Amurang. Mobile learning media using the articulate storyline application is needed by school teachers to help during the learning process. This type of research is Research and Development / R&D development research using the ADDIE model. This model, as the name suggests, is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The test instrument in this research is the product validity results from material and media experts. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of this research: 1) Development of mobile learning media using the articulate storyline application on the circulatory system material. 2) The quality of mobile learning aids on human circulatory system material is excellent. The assessment results from learning material experts obtained a feasibility percentage score of 85% for the very valid category. The assessment results from learning media experts obtained a feasibility percentage score of 89.9% for the very valid category. The response of students in class XI MIPA was in the perfect/exciting criteria with a percentage of 87.5%. It was concluded that the mobile learning media using the articulate storyline application on the circulatory system material at SMA Negeri 1 Amurang is very suitable to be used as a source of teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a pretest and post-test control group design research design. This research uses the Numbered Head Together Cooperative Learning model to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano for the 2022/20223 academic year. The sample in this study was class. The average post-test score obtained in the experimental class was 87.7, and the average in the control class was 78.1. The data analysis technique used is the t-test with the condition that the data comes from a normally distributed and homogeneous population—test normality using the Lililefors test and homogeneity. Based on the hypothesis of the research statistical data, a tcount of 2,730 was obtained. Based on the ttable with α=0.005 and degrees of freedom (dk) = n1 + n2 -2 =20+20-2= 38, By looking at the ttable, we get ttable = 1.688. So tcount is greater than ttable, namely tcount = 2,730 > ttable = 1,688. Thus, according to the test criteria, if tcount > ttable, then H0 is rejected, so hypothesis H1 is accepted, and it is concluded that there is an influence of using the Numbered Head Together model on student learning outcomes in the human respiratory system material at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano.

Abstract

Cherry tomatoes are a type of Red Dragon Fruit that has various benefits, including lowering cholesterol levels, preventing colon cancer, and strengthening the working power of muscles. Isolation of LAB isolated from Dragon Fruit as a production material for EPS. This study aims to isolate and identify LAB as a producer of EPS from red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhiruz), which can produce exopolysaccharides. This research uses a descriptive research method. Data from experimental research in the laboratory obtained 10 LAB isolates, namely isolates NG1, NG2, NG3, NG4, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9 and NG10. Based on the identification results, isolate NG1 has similarities with the genus Lactococcus (spherical, gram-positive, nonmotile, non-spore). While isolates NG2, NG3, NG4, NG5, NG6, NG7, NG8, NG9 and NG10 have similarities with the genus Lactobacillus (rod form, nonmotile, gram-positive). Based on the morphological characteristics, which are gram-positive, catalase-negative and non-spore. The ten isolates of lactic acid bacteria are capable of producing EPS. these are the results of EPS acquisition, namely: NG1(152.1 mg/L), NG2(127.9 mg/L), NG3(134.6 mg/L), NG4(130.9 mg/L), NG5(137 mg/L), NG6(139.2 mg/L), NG7(204.9 mg/L), NG8(156.2 mg/L), NG9(136.4 mg/L), and NG10 (157, 3 mg/L). The highest amount of EPS was isolated NG7 at 204.9 mg/L. Meanwhile, the lowest EPS was isolated NG4 at 130.9 mg/L.

Abstract

The aim of this research is: to determine and analyze the effect of giving rice husk charcoal on the growth and production of white cayenne pepper plants (Capsicum frutescens L). The method used in this research is the experimental method with a completely randomized design (RAL) approach. This shows that rice husk charcoal and planting media have different average values for plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of fruit and weight of white cayenne pepper. At the 12th week of observation, the M2ASP2 treatment had the highest value compared to other treatments, namely124.65 ± 31.73cm. Meanwhile treatment M1 ASP 0has the lowest value, namely79.23 ± 21.9cm.

Abstract

Paddy Rice (Oryza sativa) is the main food commodity in Indonesia, because most of the Indonesian population's staple food is Paddy Rice. Demand for Paddy Rice continues to increase from time to time along with population growth. The aim of this research is to determine the types and control of weeds in lowland Paddy Rice plants (Oryza sativa). This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a survey method directly observing weeds in the Paddy Rice planting area in Koya village, South Tondano subdistrict. The results of research on the density, dominance, and frequency of weed types in lowland Paddy Rice plants in Koya Village, South Tondano District show that there are 4 types of weeds in lowland Paddy Rice plants in Koya Village, namely Panicum repens, Fimbristylis litotoralis, Cyperus rotundus, and Pistia stratiotes. P.repens is a grass weed, F.litoralis and C.rotundus are a weed, and P.stratiotes is a broadleaf weed. The type that has the highest relative density (KR) is P. repens, namely 3.33%, followed by F. litoratlis, namely 26.67%, and the lowest is C. rotundus and P. stratiotes, namely 20.0%. Relative Dominance Value The highest (DR) was found in the weed type P. stratiotes, namely 51.56%, then followed by C. rotundus, namely 19.27%, F. litoralis, namely 15.10%, and the lowest, P. repens, namely 14.06%. The highest relative frequency (FR) was in P. repens and C. rotundus, namely 33.33%, followed by F. litoralis, namely 22.22% and the lowest was P. stratiotes, namely 11.11%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there are 4 types of weeds in lowland Paddy Rice plants in Koya Village, South Tondano District with the highest weed dominance index value, namely P. stratiotes, namely 27.55787; Weed control can be done chemically, biologically, mechanically and physically.
